| How To Start a Podcast For Your Healthcare Practice | 04 May 2026 | 00:04:56 | |
Starting a podcast often feels like adding something else to manage. A few episodes get recorded. Then it becomes something that needs maintenance. In this episode, I walk through a different approach. Treating your first podcast as something defined, built around your work, with a clear purpose for each episode. You’ll hear:
When this is in place, your podcast becomes something you use across your practice. Something that supports communication without adding more to your day. 🎧 Follow “The Practice” for more episodes 🧳 Learn how to use podcasting to improve how you communicate and stop repeating yourself Case Study Group: https://tobygoodman.com/case-study 🚀 Launch a 10-episode podcast built around your work, used across patients, your team, and referrals Launch: https://tobygoodman.com/launch-a-healthcare-podcast 👋 Connect with me https://www.linkedin.com/in/toby-goodman-cxs/ https://www.instagram.com/i.am.tobygoodman/ Mentioned in this episode: Next Steps VISIT: tobygoodman.com/thepractice
| Get Referrals For Your Healthcare Practice, Clinic or Facility | 04 May 2026 | 00:04:40 | |
Referrals are simple in principle. Someone knows what you do. They meet someone who needs it. They make an introduction. But in reality, referrals often depend on how well someone can explain your work. ]And that’s where things break down. In this episode, I look at how podcasting helps your network refer to you more clearly by giving them something accurate to share. You’ll hear:
When your network has something clear to pass on, referrals feel more natural. And the people you speak to arrive with a better understanding of how you work.
| Improve Patient Understanding Before Consultation | 04 May 2026 | 00:04:10 | |
Before a patient or client arrives, they’ve usually picked things up from different places. Some of it is useful. Some of it isn’t. So consultations often start by going over the same old ground. In this episode, I show you how podcasting changes that starting point by helping patients or clients arrive already prepared for the conversation. You’ll hear:

| Confidential Podcasting For Healthcare | 04 May 2026 | 00:04:28 | |
If you run or lead a healthcare practice, you’ve probably had this happen. You explain something to a member of your team. They get it. A few days later, you’re explaining it again. You accept it as part of the job. But it adds up. In this episode, I walk through a practical way to keep communication consistent inside your practice without relying on more meetings, more messages, or more time from you. This is where private or internal podcasting becomes useful. A way to record how you explain things, how you expect things to be handled, and what good looks like in practice so your team hears it directly from you. This is useful if your practice is growing and: You’re repeating the same explanations Standards drift when you’re not there New team members take longer than they should to get up to speed You can’t spend as much one-to-one time with your team as you’d like You want to maintain clarity and culture across different locations Over time, this becomes part of how your practice runs. Your team hears things from you, in your voice. They know what to expect. And you’re not starting from the beginning each time. PLUS: As your practice grows, it becomes harder to stay connected to everyone in the way you used to. A private internal podcast gives you a way to share what’s happening across the practice, keep people informed, and maintain the culture you’ve built, even when your time is limited. Some of what you record internally can also be adapted and used more widely across your website or public podcast. In the next episode, we’ll look at how podcasting applies to patient or client communication, and how to improve that without adding more time to your day.

| What Should a Healthcare Podcast Actually Talk About | 04 May 2026 | 00:03:15 | |
If you’re thinking about starting a podcast for your practice, this is usually where it gets stuck. What do I actually say? This episode looks at a simple way to approach that using the conversations you are already having every day. Instead of trying to come up with ideas, you can record the points you find yourself explaining more than once and use them properly across your work. You’ll hear:
Over time, this becomes something you can rely on so that: • Patients and clients can listen to it before they meet you. • Your team can reference • Partners can gain clarity and drive business without taking up your time If this feels relevant to your work, follow the podcast and continue with the next episode. 🎧 Follow “The Practice” for more episodes 🧳 Learn how to use podcasting to improve how you communicate and stop repeating yourself Case Study Group: https://tobygoodman.com/case-study 🚀 Launch a 10-episode podcast built around your work, used across patients, your team, and referrals Launch: https://tobygoodman.com/launch-a-healthcare-podcast [Connect with me] https://www.linkedin.com/in/toby-goodman-cxs/
| How To Position Your Podcast To Support Your Healthcare Practice. | 04 May 2026 | 00:04:30 | |
If you work in healthcare, the first question that usually comes up when starting a podcast is: What should this be about? It sounds straightforward, but it often leads healthcare professionals away from their actual work. This episode looks at a more useful way to approach it by focusing on the people you want to be understood by and the conversations you are already having every day. You’ll hear:
Over time, this becomes a body of work that reflects how you think and supports your practice across patients, your team, and your referrals. | Why Podcasting Works In Healthcare | 30 Apr 2026 | 00:03:34
If you work in healthcare, trust sits underneath everything you do. Patients, clients, and referrers are forming an impression of you before they meet you. Often from very little. This episode looks at how podcasting helps shape that. It gives people a way to hear how you think. How you explain things and how you approach decisions. In their own time, without needing to fit everything into a single conversation. You’ll hear:
Over time, this becomes something more than individual episodes. A body of work that reflects how you think and supports the way your practice runs 24/7. | How Do I Set Up My Own Healthcare Business? | 06 May 2026 | 00:04:11
Leaving the NHS or another public or private healthcare organisation to start your own practice can feel risky. You may have a stable salary, a pension, benefits, or simply the security of knowing what arrives in your bank account every month. But for many healthcare professionals, the real risk isn’t leaving. It’s leaving without a clear plan. In this episode, I talk about the difference between building a business and accidentally buying yourself another job. And why communication, positioning, referrals, and visibility matter long before you hand in your notice. You’ll hear:
When this is done properly, you’re building something with long-term value.
