Marko has played in such bands as Sugarcult, Popsicko, a short stint in The Ataris, and was a member of one of my personal favorite bands of all time, Bad Astronaut. Now Marko teaches the business side of music and DJ’s as well as helps promote bands. His life is intertwined with the California rock scene of the 90’s in so many ways, and we are going to hear some incredible stories. I am pretty stoked to talk to Marko, because having people like him on the show is exactly why I started this podcast in the first place. Marko has been ingrained in the punk scene in California for the last 30 or so years, and I figured it would be great to have a first hand account of some of the coolest stories straight from one of the sources. | Ep. 13 - An Inspirational Rock Journey with Eric Howk of Portugal. The Man | 16 Dec 2021 | 01:06:50 | |
In this episode, I have a great conversation with the lead guitarist of one of my favorite bands of all time, Eric Howk from Portugal. The Man. We talk about everything from his crazy journey to joining the band to how he had to leave his car in Vegas for 3 months to continue a tour with the band. We also talk about the upcoming tour with Alt-J in early 2022 and the new album that should be released in 2022 as well!
This guy is a seriously hard working, incredibly talented guitarist with some great insights and stories. To hear how 3 guys from a small town in Alaska came to be one of the best rock bands in the world is an awesome tale, and Eric tells it well.
If you are a fan of Portugal. The Man or any rock music, then this is truly a can't miss episode!

| Ep. 9 - Talking with The Punk Rock Veterans Behind The Best New Band of 2021 URETHANE | 11 Nov 2021 | 00:57:26 | |
In this episode, I have the privilege of speaking with the band URETHANE about how the four punk rock veterans (Tim Fennelly, Steve Caballero, Chad Ruiz and Dylan Wade) came together bonded over coffee, ramen and Steve's own juice to create the best new band of 2021.
We talk about their new album Chasing Horizons, their music, the videos, but also a lot of great conversation about punk music in general, and I had to come clean about my hesitancy to listen to their band as I thought Steve might be using the name to pump the band up without merit. Boy, what a shmuck I am. The music speaks for itself and rocks as hard as any punk album that has come out in the last decade.
