| I Was At The Allison Inquiry. Almost No One Else Was | Here Are My Impressions | 11 Sep 2026 | 01:06:06 | |
On Tuesday, I attended the first day of the Allison Inquiry on Parliament Hill — Canadians sharing their experiences of vaccine injury, on the record, for the first time in front of lawmakers. The room was almost empty. No mainstream media. By the afternoon, only one MP was left in the room. I share my impressions from being there in person: the MPs who showed up, the ones who didn't, a Conservative MP's answer on why he took the shot, and the testimony of a vaccine-injured veteran that no one in the room will forget. This isn't about agreeing or disagreeing with the inquiry. It's about what I witnessed. 💲Support my work by donating right here on YouTube or buy me a coffee 👉 https://buymeacoffee.com/nicolagan 🔥 LIKE, SUBSCRIBE, and CLICK THAT BELL to support independent media that doesn't take government handouts. | We Were A Christian Nation But Not Anymore. What Happened? | 04 Sep 2026 | 01:07:26
Canada was built under the influence of Christian norms and values. Today, many of our laws, institutions and political leaders appear determined to erase that foundation. What happened—and what replaced it? Wilfrid Laurier University associate professor and sociologist of religion Dr. David Haskell joins me to discuss his book, Christ or Collapse: The Case Against Godless Government, and the evidence behind his argument that Christian values produce stronger individuals, families and societies. We discuss: — When and why Canada abandoned its Christian foundation — The difference between separating church and state and removing Christianity from government — Why Haskell says “diversity is not a strength” — The research connecting cultural diversity with lower social trust — Abortion, MAID and the progressive devaluation of human life — How government gradually moves the moral boundaries of society — Bill C-9 and the removal of protections for Christian expression — Why pastors and Conservative politicians refuse to defend Christian principles — Whether Canada needs a restoration of bold, unapologetic Christianity This conversation isn’t about forcing anyone to believe in Christianity. It asks whether Canada can continue to survive after abandoning the values responsible for building it. 💲Support my work by donating right here on YouTube or buy me a coffee 👉 https://buymeacoffee.com/nicolagan 🔥 Like, subscribe and activate notifications to support independent Canadian media that doesn’t take government handouts. 🚨 Breaking news or guest suggestions: info@nicolagan.com
| Did Bill C-18 Destroy Independent Media And Sabotage Canada’s U.S. Trade Deal? | 02 Sep 2026 | 00:59:32 | |
Bill C-18 was sold as a law that would save Canadian journalism. Instead, Meta pulled news off Facebook and Instagram overnight, independent media lost their reach, and now the law itself has become a sticking point in trade negotiations with the United States. CPA and host of The Really Big Show, Jim Csek, joins me to break down what Bill C-18 actually does, what it's cost independent media in Canada, and why Washington wants it gone as part of a new trade deal. We get into the real numbers behind the Canadian Journalism Collective, whether Trudeau's government knew exactly what would happen when it passed this law, and what Jim's upcoming trip to Washington is actually trying to accomplish. 💲Support my work by donating right here on YouTube or buy me a coffee 👉 https://buymeacoffee.com/nicolagan 🔥 LIKE, SUBSCRIBE, and CLICK THAT BELL to support independent media that doesn't take government handouts. | Did The City Of Hamilton Go Too Far? Did They Infringe On Canadians' Rights To Assemble? DomCon 2026 | 31 Aug 2026 | 01:03:21
On August 29th, 2026, The Dominion Society's DomCon 2026 conference was pushed out of Hamilton, Ontario — after the city refused to rent its venues, the mayor personally wrote to local businesses, and Hamilton Police issued a public call asking residents to report possible venue bookings. This episode isn't about whether you agree with the Dominion Society. It's about one question: is it legal for elected officials and police to interfere with Canadians' right to assemble? We break down: — How DomCon 2026 was announced, and the pushback that followed — HARRC's "extremist activity" guide for local businesses, and the city funding behind it — Mayor Andrea Horwath's letter to Hamilton businesses — Hamilton Police's public call to report venue bookings — The Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms' legal warning to the City and Police — The precedent set by Sean Feucht's cancelled Canadian tour last year — Why the event ended up selling out — in Burlington Sources cited in this episode: Dominion Society announcement: facebook.com/dominionsoc HARRC Community Call to Action: harrc.ca CBC — Hamilton mayor's letter to businesses: ici.radio-canada.ca CHCH News — Dominion Society moves event: youtube.com/watch?v=BBbfssASq8U Hamilton Police call recording: x.com/WiretapMediaCa JCCF legal warning: jccf.ca Hamilton city funding records: pub-hamilton.escribemeetings.com 💲This show is 100% listener funded. | Flock Style Cameras Are NOT Just An American Problem | Canadians Need To Hear This! | 28 Aug 2026 | 01:02:08
Flock Safety's CEO Garrett Langley just went viral defending his company's surveillance cameras — comparing a ban on Flock to banning cars because of drunk drivers. But this isn't just happening in the US. These same style of cameras are already being installed across Canada, and most Canadians have no idea. I break down what Flock-style ALPR (Automatic License Plate Reader) cameras actually do, how over 135,000 have been installed in the US in under 6 years, and the 100+ documented cases of police abusing this technology — stalking exes, tracking abortion patients, and more. Then we bring it home: Montreal just approved 650 ALPRs and 3,500 Axon body cams for their police force, using AI software called ROC Watch. No public vote. No consultation. Just installed. I ask the questions nobody in mainstream media is asking: How long is this data actually stored? What happens to what the AI learned from it after the "retention period" ends? And who's auditing the police using it? If you care about privacy, surveillance, and government overreach — this is one you need to watch. 💲This show is 100% listener funded. | WHO'S LYING: Carney Or Trump? Is Quebec To Blame or Is It Something Else? | 26 Aug 2026 | 01:02:31
Mark Carney says French language rights killed the trade deal with the US. Trump says that's a lie. Someone's not telling the truth — or there's a third reason nobody's talking about. Just before the negotiation deadline, independent creators started raising a different question: was Bill C-11 and Bill C-18 quietly part of what was on the table? I break down what these laws actually do — how C-11 gives the CRTC power over what gets promoted on streaming platforms, and how C-18 pushed Meta to ban Canadian news while only compensating a small list of eligible outlets. Then I lay out the contradiction: Carney's version, Trump's version, and what independent creators were saying before the deadline hit. You tell me — who's lying? Carney, Trump, or is the real story something neither of them wants to talk about? 💲This show is 100% listener funded. No corporate, government or political money, just you! | Could Toronto Elect Their First Muslim Mayor Next Month? The Numbers Will Surprise You! | 21 Aug 2026 | 01:00:17
Toronto’s 2026 municipal election is approaching, and mayoral candidate Bahira Abdulsalam is drawing attention after a viral exchange questioning whether she would implement Sharia law if elected. But tonight, I want to go beyond the viral clip and look at the numbers. How large is Toronto’s Muslim voting population? How significant does that voting bloc become when municipal turnout remains low? How much influence can an organized community have when elections are decided by a fraction of eligible voters? In the 2023 mayoral by-election, Olivia Chow won with just over 269,000 votes and 37% of votes cast. Tonight, we break down Toronto’s demographics, voter turnout, the Muslim vote, strong-mayor powers, and what happened in New York City with Zohran Mamdani. Could Toronto elect its first Muslim mayor in 2026? And if not this election... Could it happen four years from now? | Canadians Pay 42% In Taxes But That's Just The Tip Of The Iceberg | The Reality Is Much Worse! | 19 Aug 2026 | 01:02:33
The average Canadian family now spends nearly 42% of its income on taxes — but that's only the beginning of Canada's affordability problem. According to the Fraser Institute's 2026 Canadian Consumer Tax Index, the average Canadian family earns $121,111 and pays approximately $50,721 in taxes. But what happens to the money Canadians have left? Over the past five years, food prices have increased by approximately 27%. A family of four is projected to spend nearly $1,000 more on food this year alone. Nearly 2.2 million visits to Canadian food banks were recorded in a single month — almost double the level recorded just six years ago. Then there's housing. The average Canadian home that sold for approximately $471,000 in 2016 now costs roughly $675,000. And while a home cost approximately 2.3 times annual income in 1961, today we're looking at roughly 7.8 times annual income. And there's another part of this conversation we rarely discuss: what constitutes a basic necessity has completely changed. Internet. Cellphones. Childcare. A second vehicle. Insurance. Commuting. Expenses Canadian families either didn't have in 1961 or didn't depend on the way families do today. Tonight, we're going beyond the headline numbers and looking at what it actually costs to live in Canada in 2026 — and why so many Canadians feel like they're falling further behind regardless of how much they work. And I want to hear from you: Have you had to cut back on groceries or other necessities? Have you moved in with your family to reduce your expenses? Are you growing your own food or hunting your own meat? What have you changed to deal with Canada's rising cost of living? 💲This show is 100% listener funded. | Is Pierre Poilievre's Leadership Crumbling? Or Just A Media Distraction? Rob Anders Joins Nico Lagan | 17 Aug 2026 | 01:03:26
Is Pierre Poilievre's leadership actually crumbling — or are Canadians watching another mainstream media distraction while Mark Carney's government avoids scrutiny? Tonight I'm joined by Rob Anders, former Member of Parliament, founding member of the Conservative Party of Canada and someone who has known Pierre Poilievre since he was just 14 years old. With Conservative MPs crossing the floor, longtime party members walking away and questions surrounding Poilievre's leadership dominating the headlines, there are two very different stories being told. One says the Conservative Party is fractured and Pierre Poilievre is the problem. The other says Canada's mainstream media is obsessing over the opposition while giving Mark Carney and the Liberal government a free pass. So which is it? Rob Anders has been around the Canadian conservative movement for decades and knew Pierre long before most Canadians had ever heard his name. That gives him a perspective on Poilievre, the Conservative Party and the Canadian conservative movement that very few people can offer. We get into what's happening inside the Conservative Party, what conservatism actually means in Canada today, whether Pierre still represents those values and how much difference really remains between Canada's major political parties. We also examine the growing argument that Canada effectively has a Uniparty — where Conservatives may campaign against Liberal policies but too often participate in the same political system once they arrive in Ottawa. And with Canadians increasingly frustrated by both the government and the opposition, the conversation ultimately goes somewhere much bigger than Pierre Poilievre: Can Canadians still vote themselves out of the mess we're in? This isn't about defending Pierre Poilievre or attacking him. It's about figuring out what's actually happening inside Canada's Conservative Party, whether the criticism of its leader is justified, and whether Canadians are being distracted from the people currently running the country. | CBSA Raided A Calgary International Student Protest | Some Are Concerned While Others Welcome It! | 14 Aug 2026 | 01:15:17
For nearly two weeks, over 1,000 international graduates — most of them from Punjab, India — have been protesting in Calgary, staging a hunger strike after their Post-Graduation Work Permit applications were rejected en masse. Yesterday, CBSA officers showed up directly at the protest site, checking immigration documents and flagging 12 people as possibly inadmissible to Canada. Danielle Smith backed the move, saying a student visa was always meant to be temporary. Civil rights advocates are calling it a dangerous precedent — the first time border enforcement has directly targeted an active protest site in recent Canadian history. Tonight, independent journalist Jason Lavigne joins me to break it all down — what the actual rules say, how many international students are really in Canada, and why this is happening now. 💲This show is 100% listener funded. | Danielle Smith's NEW AI Data Centre Video | What She Didn't Want You To Know | 14 Aug 2026 | 00:59:06
Danielle Smith released a video today addressing six questions Albertans have been asking about the Meta AI data centre. What she conveniently left out is where this story actually gets interesting. She never mentioned the $70 billion Wonder Valley project — the largest AI data centre in the world, also being built in Alberta. She called the levy "no taxpayer backstop," but didn't mention it doesn't start collecting until December 2026, and companies can offset it entirely through existing tax credits. She touted a 6% drop in your transmission bill — which works out to about $1.80 a month. And she never once mentioned Mark Carney's AI For All program, the $200 billion federal strategy that explains exactly who these data centres are really being built for. Tonight I break down her video question by question — what she said, what the numbers actually mean, and why Alberta becoming the centre of Canada's AI infrastructure might make separation a lot harder than anyone's admitting. 💲This show is 100% listener funded. | Are Conservative MPs Censoring Canadians? | Jeff Evely Suspects Matt Strauss Got His X Suspended! | 10 Aug 2026 | 01:00:38
Jeff Evely says Larry Brock just became the fourth Conservative MP — after Garnett Genuis, Leslyn Lewis, and Matt Strauss — to decline sponsoring a House of Commons petition to repeal or amend Bill C-4's conversion therapy provisions. Then, after a heated exchange with Matt Strauss, Jeff's X account got suspended. Strauss says he never even saw the request, calling it "spam correspondence." Jeff isn't convinced. Tonight, Jeff Evely joins me to break down what actually happened, what Bill C-4 does, and why he's been calling out Larry Brock, Leslyn Lewis, Garnett Genuis, and Pierre Poilievre. If a party built on "free expression" and "accountability" is silencing the people holding it accountable, is that really any different from the censorship they claim to oppose? 💲This show is 100% listener funded. | Regina Mosque's Weekly Call For Prayer Resumes After Backlash | All Approved By Unelected Officials | 07 Aug 2026 | 01:01:07
A Regina mosque paused its outdoor call to prayer after public backlash. This Friday, it resumes — approved not by city council, not by elected officials, but by the police department, acting alone under a decades-old noise bylaw. Tonight we break down exactly how this happened: the bylaw that gives police this power, the Charter obligations at play, why church bells are treated differently under the law, and what happened when the same thing played out in Dearborn and Hamtramck, Michigan — starting at just 10-20% of the population. | Mark Gerretsen Called The Allison Inquiry "Attention Seeking" | I'm Not Letting This Slide | 05 Aug 2026 | 01:08:28
A Liberal MP posted a video calling the Allison Inquiry — a non-partisan citizen-led inquiry into COVID vaccine injuries — nothing more than an attention-seeking political stunt. He laughed while saying "testimony doesn't equal causation." Here's what he didn't mention: Canada's own government reported over 58,000 adverse event reports, with more than 11,700 considered serious. Out of the claims submitted to the federal compensation program, only 252 have ever been approved. I break down exactly what Mark Gerretsen got wrong, why this inquiry exists in the first place, and why Canadians who were silenced, lost their careers, and are still fighting to get their injuries recognized deserve better than being mocked by the people who created this mess. | Edmonton Police Post Report Hate Crime Video | They've Admitted To Have The Tools To SPY On Us! | 03 Aug 2026 | 01:02:34
Edmonton Police posted a video showing examples of what they consider "hate speech," urging citizens to report it online. They blanked out key words in every comment — and disabled their comments section shortly after posting. So we decided to read what those comments actually said. Once you fill in the blanks, the picture looks very different from what Edmonton Police wants you to believe. But that's not even the real story. The Edmonton Police Service has already deployed automatic license plate readers, tested Clearview AI facial recognition, and became the first police department in the world to trial AI facial-recognition body cameras — scanning faces in real time against a watchlist of thousands of people. Documents show the results of that pilot still haven't been made public, months after it ended. All while using algorithmic AI social media surveillance software. Now they're asking citizens to report each other for what they post online. This isn't about hate. This is about controlling what we can and cannot say. | Fauci Pleaded The 5th 111 Times | Now Florida Is Coming For Him! Will We Ever Get Answers? | 31 Jul 2026 | 01:02:43
Dr. Anthony Fauci sat in front of the Senate this week and refused to answer a single question — pleading the Fifth Amendment 111 times. Republicans wanted answers on his role in the Covid pandemic. Instead, they got the same 24-word sentence, over and over. But does a presidential pardon actually protect him from pleading the Fifth? We break down the two legal arguments — Fauci's team says yes, DeSantis and Rand Paul say no — and why Florida just opened its own investigation regardless of what happens in Washington. Tonight I'm joined by independent journalist Jason Lavigne to break down the hearing, the legal fight over the pardon, and what happens next. | Viral Video Claims Ford Disabled His Vehicle On The Freeway | Is That Even Possible? | 29 Jul 2026 | 01:00:10
A viral video is spreading fast: a man claims his Ford Bronco shut down mid-drive on a busy freeway over one missed payment. Here's what we do know — Ford filed a patent for a system that lets a car disable itself, lock its own doors, and in some cases drive itself to a repo lot or scrapyard. That patent was abandoned. But the underlying technology? Ford sells it today, built into select 2026 models, under a name that sounds a lot less alarming than what it actually does. So is this one video real, staged, or something in between? And if it is real — was it even Ford, or someone else with access to the same kill switch? Tonight we break down the patent, the tech that already exists in your car right now, and whether what happened on that freeway is even legally possible. 💲This show is 100% listener funded. | You Thought Flock Cameras Were Just License Plate Readers? Think Again | They Are Changing Policing! | 27 Jul 2026 | 01:16:35
What started as automated license plate recognition has evolved into an AI-powered surveillance ecosystem that combines cameras, drones, gunshot detection, cloud-based investigations, and artificial intelligence into a single network designed to detect, respond, and investigate. Tonight, we expose what Flock Safety actually is, how its technology works, why it's being adopted across North America, and whether Canadians should be paying closer attention. | Did This Goodlife Sikh Influencer Break The Law? A Lawyer Explains The Kirpan Ruling | 24 Jul 2026 | 00:44:56
A viral video of a Sikh influencer being kicked out of GoodLife Fitness for wearing a visible, multi-knife setup has split Canadians into two camps — those who say GoodLife violated the Charter, and those who back the employee's decision. But there's already a legal precedent here. In the landmark 2006 Supreme Court of Canada case Multani v. Commission scolaire Marguerite-Bourgeoys, the Court ruled that an absolute ban on the kirpan violates freedom of religion — but it's not a blanket protection. The ruling set specific conditions: the kirpan must be concealed under clothing, securely sheathed, and fixed in place to prevent easy removal. So did this influencer actually meet those conditions? I sit down with lawyer Daniel Freiheit, founder of Lion Advocacy, to break down what the ruling actually says, how it applies here, and why the same law that concealed carry of a knife is a criminal offence for most Canadians. We also look at the reaction from lawyer Gurratan Singh — brother of Jagmeet Singh — and a second viral video involving the same influencer discussing the "Sant Sipahi" identity and the right to bear arms. This isn't about attacking anyone's faith. It's about understanding what the law actually requires — and whether it was followed. 💲This show is 100% listener funded. The Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms is reporting that some Canadians are being contacted at home by government officials — over social media posts made months, even years ago. But there's a problem: Bill C-9 isn't retroactive. It only applies to conduct on or after July 18th, when the law came into force. So if these posts are old, why are people being contacted now? Tonight I break down the JCCF's claim, what the actual law says about retroactivity, and look at two recent cases — a man visited by the RCMP over calls to burn government buildings, and a woman visited by Toronto police over an alleged threat against the Prime Minister — to ask the real question: is this Bill C-9, or are these Canadians being contacted because they broke laws that already existed? Then we get into the trade war. Donald Trump just hit Canada with new 50% tariffs on nearly $20 billion in imports — everything from wine to hockey sticks to cement — while sparing energy, potash, critical minerals, and fish. We break down what Trump actually said, why he's blaming Canada's leadership directly and not Canadians, and what his senior trade advisor Peter Navarro had to say about it. We also cover Doug Ford's response — his repeated calls to block oil and potash exports to the U.S. as retaliation — and why Danielle Smith flatly rejected the idea in Charlottetown. Mark Carney's own response to Trump's tariffs, and how nine provinces just agreed to lift interprovincial alcohol trade barriers in response to the trade war, all get covered too. Plus, we hear directly from a Canadian business owner on what this actually means on the ground. This is a big one. Let's get into it. 💲This show is 100% listener funded. | Bill C-9 Just Became Law And Mark Carney is Celebrating | Here's What Canadians Don't Realize! | 20 Jul 2026 | 01:00:34
Bill C-9 is now law — and Mark Carney's government is celebrating it. They're calling it stronger protection: tougher penalties for hate crimes, a ban on hate symbols, new tools to protect access to places of worship. But when you actually read the bill, the picture gets a lot more complicated. Who decides what counts as a hate symbol? Why were nooses added to that list, but not the public street prayers that blocked access to one of Canada's most iconic churches for weeks? And why does the government insist there's no plan for a national digital ID — while quietly testing exactly that, the same week this bill became law? Tonight, I break down the actual text of Bill C-9, what it really means for Canadians, and the digital ID rollout nobody's talking about. 💲This show is 100% listener funded. | Ontario's ON FIRE: Who's to Blame? Doug Ford, Climate Change, Glyphosate Or Something Else? | 17 Jul 2026 | 01:03:19
Ontario is burning. 185 wildfires are active right now, and year-to-date fires are already well above both last year and the 10-year average. Toronto's air quality just ranked 5th worst in the world — worse than New Delhi and Lahore, two cities that normally top that list. So what's actually causing this? Doug Ford's government cut the emergency forest firefighting budget by 24% last year — then spent double what they budgeted anyway. Convenient timing for a government now blaming climate change. But there's another angle almost nobody is talking about: glyphosate. Ontario forestry sprays it. So does most of the country. And it dries out exactly the kind of vegetation that turns a forest into fuel. Tonight, I break down the numbers, the budget, and the theories — some call them conspiracies, I call them questions worth asking. RCMP allegedly showed up at a man's door over posts he made on social media. Is this the beginning of Bill C-9 enforcement? Or did he actually break one of the laws that already exist — uttering threats, criminal harassment, hate propaganda, or intimidation? Tonight, I break down what allegedly happened and the actual Criminal Code sections that get police to your door over a social media post, walk through what allegedly happened, and let you decide: is this censorship creeping in early, or is this just the law doing what it's always done? Tonight, Barry joins me to walk through his case: the jurisdiction argument over online speech, the Charter challenge, what this could mean for every Canadian posting about controversial policy online, and what this fight has actually cost him. Case referenced: CTA v. Neufeld (BC Human Rights Tribunal, 2026 BCHRT 49), Neufeld v. | 21 Bills In 14 Weeks — Mark Carney is Using Trump's Flooding The Zone Tactic To Overwhelm Canadians | 03 Jul 2026 | 01:02:46
Mark Carney admitted he learned from Donald Trump. And while he claims not to fully subscribe to Trump's flooding the zone tactic, that is exactly what he has been doing. In just 14 weeks, the Liberal government passed 21 bills through the House of Commons. That is 1.5 bills a week. And out of those 21 bills, 7 were expedited using time allocation motions — essentially forcing bills through Parliament with limited debate. Green Party Leader Elizabeth May, who has been an MP since 2011, called it the worst use of time allocation and omnibus bills she has ever seen. The Bloc, the NDP and the Conservatives all said the same thing. But here is what nobody else is talking about. Three of those rushed bills will fundamentally change how speech is handled in Canada. Bill C-9 — The Combating Hate Act — criminalizes emotions and removes the good faith religious protection from the criminal code. It takes effect on July 18th. Bill C-16 — The Protecting Victims Act — could make deliberately misgendering someone a criminal offence. Legal experts confirm the path to prison exists. Bill C-22 — The Lawful Access Bill — forces Electronic Service Providers to store all of your metadata for up to one year without a warrant. And metadata is not even defined in the bill. C-9 controls what you say. C-16 controls how you say it. C-22 lets the government monitor everything to make sure you comply. This is not a coincidence. This is a strategy. And I will bet everything I own that when Parliament returns in September, Bill C-34 will be next. 💲This show is 100% listener funded. No corporate, government or political money, just you! | Mark Carney Just Signaled More Gun Bans Are Coming — CCFR's Tracey Wilson Responds | 30 Jun 2026 | 01:09:49
Canada's gun ban challenge is currently before the Supreme Court. The ruling is not expected until mid to late next year. The amnesty is on hold yet Mark Carney just signaled that more gun bans are coming anyway. This week Carney announced that Canada is moving toward an expert-led firearms classification system led by the RCMP. That means an unelected police force would have the power to reclassify any firearm in Canada with a stroke of a pen. No parliamentary debate. No vote. No due process for legal gun owners. Tonight CCFR Vice President of Public Relations Tracey Wilson joins me to break down exactly what Carney said, what an RCMP-led classification system means for every legal gun owner in Canada, whether the SKS will be next on the banned list, what happens to the CCFR's Supreme Court challenge if new legislation is tabled before the existing ban is even ruled on, and whether the government could ban the SKS for everyone except Indigenous communities. We also break down Carney's non-answer when asked directly whether banning assault style firearms would prevent mass shootings — and what he actually revealed when he said "that wasn't the case in this instance." At 7:30PM we are joined by Jeff Evely — the man who was fined $28,872.50 for taking a walk in the woods of Nova Scotia — to speak about the outcome of his case and what it means for Canadians. 💲This show is 100% listener funded. | Are Canadians About To Lose The SKS? Mark Carney Just Signaled Another Gun Ban Is Coming | 26 Jun 2026 | 01:02:22
Are Canadians About To Lose The SKS? Mark Carney Just Signaled Another Gun Ban Is Coming The Montreal shooting on Monday has already become a political weapon. Before the investigation is even complete, the Mayor of Montreal is calling for tougher gun control and PolySeSouvient is demanding an SKS ban. And today Mark Carney signaled that new gun legislation is coming. The SKS is Canada's most popular rifle. Between 600,000 and 1 million are currently in the hands of legal Canadian gun owners. It is non-restricted. It is widely used by Indigenous communities across the country for its affordability and reliability in harsh northern climates. And the government wants to ban it. We have seen this before. After the 2020 Nova Scotia shooting, the Liberals used an Order in Council to push through sweeping gun bans overnight with no parliamentary debate, no vote, and no due process for legal gun owners. Are we are about to see the same playbook used again? Tonight I am joined by independent journalist Jason Lavigne for another episode of East Meets West to break down what Mark Carney actually said today, what an expert-led firearms classification system controlled by the RCMP would actually mean, what happens to the current gun amnesty and the CCFR Supreme Court challenge if new legislation moves forward, and why legal gun owners keep paying the price for crimes they did not commit. We are also joined at 7:30PM by Jeff Evely — the man who was fined $28,872.50 for taking a walk in the woods of Nova Scotia — to speak about the outcome of his case. 💲This show is 100% listener funded. We'll discuss: • What qualifies as "harmful content" • The difference between the Digital Safety Act and the Digital Safety Commission of Canada Act • Age verification requirements for online platforms • Data retention requirements • Access to electronic data • The powers of the proposed Digital Safety Commission • Freedom of expression, privacy rights and government oversight • What this bill could mean for Canadians, online platforms and public discourse Is Bill C-34 simply about protecting children online? Or does it create something much bigger? Join us live and decide for yourself. | Is The 2026 Long Form Census Unconstitutional? Constitutional Lawyers Are Challenging The Government | 23 Jun 2026 | 01:00:38
Is the 2026 Long Form Census unconstitutional? Tonight on The Political Orphans, Nico Lagan is joined by Charter advocate and Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms lawyer Hatim Kheir to break down the legal challenge against the 2026 long-form census. Canadians are being told that the census is mandatory under the Statistics Act. But how far does that authority actually go? Can the government compel Canadians, under threat of penalty, to answer deeply personal questions about their household, identity, health, work, housing, and private life? In this episode, we discuss: • Whether Canadians are legally required to complete the census • The difference between the short-form and long-form census • Whether Canadians can request the short form instead • What penalties exist under the Statistics Act • Whether the long-form census violates Charter privacy protections • Whether selecting only 25% of households for the long form raises legal questions • What authority Statistics Canada enumerators actually have • Where census authority ends and private property rights begin • The constitutional challenge launched against parts of the 2026 long-form census This is not about refusing basic population counting. This is about asking whether mandatory census power gives the government unlimited authority to collect deeply personal information from Canadians. 💲This show is 100% listener funded. The Liberals placed a guillotine motion on Bill C-22 this week.30 minutes. That is all the time Parliament gets to review a bill that gives the government access to every Canadian's metadata for up to one year. And metadata is not defined anywhere in the bill. Not once. That is not an accident.Today metadata means transmission data — who you contacted, when, from where. Tomorrow it can mean everything inside the envelope. Every message. Every file. Every piece of content transiting through any Canadian network.By rushing this bill through before summer break, they never have to define it.And while everyone was watching the social media ban debate — including me — Bill C-8 became law yesterday. The bill that gives the government the power to cut anyone off the internet is already law.By the end of this summer Bill C-8, Bill C-9 and Bill C-22 could all be law.The only bill left will be C-34.They got us.💲This show is 100% listener funded. | Every Western Government BANNING Social Media At The Same Time — Coincidence? | 16 Jun 2026 | 01:01:27
In December 2025 Australia became the first country in the world to ban social media for kids under 16. Since then Indonesia and Malaysia have fully implemented nationwide bans. The UK, France and Turkey have passed legislation. And Canada, Denmark, Greece, Norway, Austria, Poland, Germany, Belgium, Slovenia, Portugal, Spain and Italy are all debating or tabling the same proposals. Every government. Same platforms. Same justification. Same language. Same polling numbers around 70% public support. Liberal and conservative parties in agreement everywhere. And they all want you to verify your identity with a government ID just to log in. Since when does the left and right agree on anything? The social media ban is not about your children. It is about attaching every citizen's identity to their online presence. And Canadians will welcome it… 💲This show is 100% listener funded. No corporate, government or political money, just you! | Canada's New Social Media Ban is NOT About Your Children | Here's What They're NOT Telling You | 10 Jun 2026 | 01:03:44
Canada just announced the Digital Safety Act — a social media ban for anyone under 16. Most Canadians think this is about protecting children. It isn't. To enforce a social media ban, every single Canadian will have to prove their age by attaching government-approved ID to their social media accounts. That's not child protection. That's a digital ID. And once you're verified on one platform, that verification follows you everywhere — linking every account you own under your real identity. But it gets worse. This isn't a standalone policy. This is the missing piece that connects Bill C-9, C-22 and C-8 into a complete surveillance and censorship system. Bill C-9 defines what you can and cannot say online. Bill C-22 forces platforms to save your data for up to one year. Bill C-8 gives the government the power to cut you off the internet entirely. The digital ID created by this social media ban is what connects all three. And they're selling it to you as child protection. Don't be fooled. All these bills are interconnected — and this is the last piece of the puzzle. 💲This show is 100% listener funded. No corporate, government or political money, just you! | Did You Refuse The 2026 Census? Here's The Secret Form Enumerators Fill Out About You! | 09 Jun 2026 | 01:02:15
Did You Refuse The 2026 Census? Here's The Secret Form Enumerators Fill Out About You! You refused the census. You closed the door. You thought that was the end of it. It wasn't. What you didn't know is that the enumerator standing on your porch just filled out Form 4-BIL — an internal Statistics Canada document that builds a physical profile of you. Your name. Your address. Your phone number. Your height. Your hair colour. Your tattoos. Your exact words. And a note that all of this information may be used to support a legal prosecution. This is not a data collection form. This is a police-style suspect profile. Tonight we break down why more and more Canadians are refusing the 2026 Census, what the government does when they do, and the secret form nobody knew existed until now. 32,000 enumerators have been hired to knock on your door. And if you say no, they are not crossing you off a list. They are building a file on you. 💲This show is 100% listener funded. No corporate, government or political money, just you! | Mark Carney's AI Plan Is Here And Canadians Should Be Worried... Here's Why! | 05 Jun 2026 | 01:14:03
Mark Carney's AI Plan Is Here And Canadians Should Be Worried... Here's Why! Today, Carney unveiled Canada's new national AI strategy: AI For All. According to the government, the plan will protect Canadians, strengthen online safety, build sovereign AI infrastructure, create AI partnerships around the world, and accelerate AI adoption across the economy. Sounds great, right? But what exactly are "AI safety capabilities"? Why is the government talking about new online safety laws? Why are they building sovereign AI infrastructure and expanding the Canadian AI Safety Institute? And why has Canada already signed AI partnerships with 12 countries that have some of the world's most aggressive lawful access and online speech laws? Tonight, Jason Lavigne and I break down Carney's AI strategy, the questions Canadians should be asking, and the hidden implications that almost nobody in the media is discussing. The future of AI in Canada is being built right now. The question is: what kind of country are we building? 💲This show is 100% listener funded. No corporate, government or political money, just you! | If You Thought Bill C-9 Was Bad... Think Again! It Just Got A Lot Worse | 04 Jun 2026 | 01:00:22
If You Thought Bill C-9 Was Bad... Think Again! It Just Got A Lot Worse Bill C-9 was already one of the most concerning pieces of legislation in Canada. Now senators have amended it. Under the new changes, "residential school denialism" could become a criminal offence punishable by up to two years in prison. But what exactly is denialism? Who decides what qualifies as "downplaying" history? Who decides what constitutes "misrepresenting facts"? And why are politicians rushing to create new protections for some groups while remaining largely silent as more than 100 churches have been vandalized or destroyed across Canada? Tonight on The Political Orphans, we break down the latest amendments to Bill C-9, what they mean for free speech, how they could impact public debate, and why many Canadians are becoming increasingly concerned about the direction of the country. The question is no longer whether Bill C-9 is dangerous. The question is: how much further are they willing to go?
| Police Showed Up At A Retired Military Judge's Door For Online Speech | Bill C-9 Is Already Here | 03 Jun 2026 | 00:56:09 | |
A retired military judge and combat veteran received a visit from 2 Toronto police officers at his home last week for things he allegedly said online. He recorded the entire interaction. The charges? Harassing communications and 2 counts of failing to comply with probation. The problem? The officers told him there were grounds to arrest him but refused to tell him what those grounds were — this seems like a direct violation of Section 10(a) of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms which requires police to inform you of the reasons for your arrest without delay. This is not a random citizen. This is a combat veteran and retired military judge who understands exactly what is happening and why it matters. Because this is not an isolated incident. Canadians are receiving police visits for social media posts. Bill C-9 just had a residential school denialism amendment added that carries up to 2 years in prison. In the UK 13,000 people a year are arrested for online speech. This is what Canada looks like when you let governments decide what you are allowed to say. 🔥 LIKE, SUBSCRIBE, and CLICK THAT BELL to support independent media that doesn't take government handouts. | Bill C-22 Is Passing No Matter What | Carney Calls Alberta Independence A Dangerous Bluff | 29 May 2026 | 01:05:04
The Public Safety Minister went on CBC today to defend Bill C-22. What he said should concern every Canadian. He admitted the amendments are still being written. He admitted metadata is undefined on purpose so the government never has to return to Parliament. And he made clear that a lawful access regime is not optional — meaning this bill is passing no matter what Canadians think. A 20 year telecom sales engineer breaks down exactly what he got wrong and why the technology tells a completely different story than what your government is selling you. Then we turn to Alberta. Mark Carney called the Alberta independence referendum a "dangerous bluff" comparing it to Brexit. We break down what that means for the future of Canada and why Quebec is now openly supporting Alberta's push. This is East Meets West with Jason Lavigne. 💲This show is 100% listener funded. | AI Needs Data Centers And Canada Is The Perfect Place To Build Them | Here's Why That's A Problem | 28 May 2026 | 01:01:12
AI needs massive data centers to operate. And Canada just became the most attractive place in the world to build them. Here's why that should concern every Canadian. AI data centers consume 5 to 100 times more energy than traditional data centers. A single rack can draw enough power to run dozens of suburban homes simultaneously. The largest facilities being built today require their own dedicated power plants. So why Canada? • Alberta's natural gas is 40 to 50% cheaper than in the US because it's essentially trapped locally • Canadian winters eliminate up to 50% of cooling costs — the freezing air does the work for free • Tech giants can bypass public grid fees entirely with Alberta's Bring Your Own Power program • American companies get even more value because their dollar goes further in Canada America is running out of power. So Microsoft, Google, Amazon and Meta are bringing their AI infrastructure here instead. And Kevin O'Leary is already spearheading Wonder Valley — billed as the world's largest AI data center industrial park — a 70 billion dollar, 9 gigawatt facility in northern Alberta that was just exempted from provincial environmental review. Nobody asked Canadians if they were okay with this. This is Episode 4 of my 5 part series: AI — The Missing Link To Our Government's Surveillance And Censorship State. Tomorrow: East Meets West with Jason Lavigne. Tuesday: The final episode — how it all connects and why social media bans are the key to implementing the surveillance state. 💲This show is 100% listener funded. | Bill C-22 Is So Outrageous Even Apple, Meta and Signal Are Fighting Back | Are Canadians Waking Up? | 19 May 2026 | 01:04:07
Bill C-22, Canada's so-called Lawful Access Act, is so invasive that some of the biggest tech companies on the planet are pushing back — and threatening to leave Canada entirely. Tonight we break down the latest updates on Bill C-22 and what it actually means for every Canadian. Apple has warned it will never build a backdoor into its products. Meta testified before Parliament that the bill could force companies to install government spyware directly onto their systems. Signal said it would rather pull out of Canada than compromise the privacy of its users. Windscribe called the Carney government corrupt and said it will move its headquarters before complying. NordVPN is considering removing its presence from Canada entirely. But here's what nobody is telling you — Apple already complies with massive volumes of government data requests in the US and the UK. And Meta? The day after testifying against Bill C-22 in front of Parliament, they quietly removed end-to-end encryption from Instagram direct messages. Your DMs are no longer private. So while Big Tech fights this bill in public, ask yourself — are they really protecting you? John Carpay, President of the Justice Center for Constitutional Freedoms, joins us tomorrow at 7PM EST to discuss what Canadians can do to fight back. Are Canadians finally waking up? Tell us what you think in the comments. 💲This show is 100% listener funded. No corporate, government or political money, just you!
