The MiLB Talk crew of Derrik, Hunter and Jake are starting off this week with an interview with 2024 Red Sox draftee Alex Bouchard! Alex was drafted earlier this month by the Red Sox in the 14th round out of Lehigh University in Pennsylvania. Alex underwent Tommy John surgery in April, so we asked about his rehab and the plan the Red Sox have him on. We discussed the pre-draft process, if he was expecting to get drafted, what the actual call he was getting drafted was like, what he likes to do outside of baseball and more. Programming note: we will record our normal MiLB Talk episode following the trade deadline on Tuesday. There will be much to discuss!
