Richard, a creative producer, videographer, and husband to our friend Kirby Kelly joins us. Richard shares the story of how he became interested and involved in photography, growing from photography to videography, how he met and pursued Kirby, moving his career to Texas, and how he's balanced his career and relationship in his first year of marriage.

We discuss social media potentially degrading the quality of creativity, pursuing interests while having a full time job, taking initiative to just do things, what Richard enjoys the most about photos/videos, struggles of a videographer, trying to be a light in your industry, being intentional with Kirby from the start, the value gained from keeping their relationship private, and growing as a person for the benefit of their marriage.

Joel, a childhood friend of Chase's, an engineer, and native of Uganda joins us. Joel shares the story of his family moving to the United States, what it was like getting thrown into Colleyville lifestyle, how friendships made his transition easier, his thoughts on the effects of social media around the world, and what American and Uganda cultures could learn from one another.

We discuss how Joel gained contentment even with him moving to an upper-class city in the States, living a purpose driven life, Chase's admiration for Joel's commitment and sincerity for the Gospel despite the option to conform to the values/pursuit of the American dream, how to enjoy but not idolize things, balance of work and relationships, America teaching Joel how to be antisocial, stress being present in Uganda and America, and enjoying the moment.

Alicja shares memories and stories from her childhood in Germany, moving to the States, being raised in a German/Nigerian household, when she started embracing her differences, and the role that mental health and therapy can have in a Christian's life.

We discuss the uniquenesses of Nigerian and German cultures, the lessons Americans can learn from these cultures, our natural tendency to merge/conform to whatever group we're around, how to honor your parents' cultural heritages, therapy being a tool, and not excusing unhealthy ways of living.
