| God Is the Goal, Not the Finish Line | 20 Jan 2026 | 00:14:16 | |
We live in a world that prizes speed, outcomes, and measurable success. Even in our faith, it's easy to chase good and God-honoring goals so hard that we quietly lose the God who gave them. In this episode, we explore what happens when the finish line replaces the relationship and how Jesus invites us back to a slower, more present way of living with Him. Through personal stories, Scripture, and the way Jesus moved through the world, this conversation offers a gentle reordering. Not a call to abandon goals, but an invitation to pursue them with God instead of for Him — so the fruit of the Spirit has room to grow again. *** In this episode, you'll discover:
💡Today's Big Idea: God is always the Goal. ⚡️Today's Small Step: Two anchoring prayers: "Jesus, help me see You here" and "God, take care of there."

| Encore: Delighting in Dependence | 26 Aug 2025 | 00:18:21 | |
In a world that often celebrates going it alone and sings the constant mantra "I am enough," the life of Jesus presents a striking contrast. Unlike the stories of solitary success we're so used to hearing, Jesus, the embodiment of God's perfection, lived a life of complete dependence on God. He invites us to embrace this same path, showing us that true strength is found not in independence, but in trusting fully in God. In today's episode, we will explore the beautiful, countercultural call that Jesus offers us. We'll look into five practical ways we can live out this call to depend on God, following Jesus's example. This discussion is more than just theory; it's an invitation to experience the richness of life that comes from walking closely with God, replacing the "I can handle it all" attitude with a heart that says, "God is my strength." Join us as we delve into how Jesus's invitation challenges the norms of our society and guides us toward a life of deeper fulfillment and connection with God. This episode promises to be a journey into understanding how embracing dependence on God can transform our lives, offering peace and purpose in the midst of a world that often values going it alone. 💡Today's Big Idea: We are not enough, and that's good news. God invites us to delight in depending on Him. ⚡️Today's Small Step: Ask the Father to show you one specific area of your life where He is inviting you to become more dependent on Him. *** LINKS + RESOURCES FROM THIS EPISODE: Follow, rate, and review The Pace of Grace on Apple or Spotify Grab a copy of The Prayer Powered Entrepreneur. Purpose-driven living is important, fulfilling, and at times, frustrating. After all, if we are actively partnering with God in living out our purpose on earth, why is progress so slow? Why do so many things go wrong? In this episode, we'll look at what drives and motivates God and what we can learn from that. | The Myth of Being Behind: God's Greater Grace | 08 Apr 2025 | 00:15:13 | |
It's a terrible feeling—that sense that you're falling behind while everyone else is moving forward. A friend lands their dream job while you're still figuring things out. Someone gets married while you're still waiting for a date. A colleague expands their reach while you feel like you're standing still. The longer the delay, the louder the inner voice whispers, "You should be further along by now." What if God's pace for your life is not only different—but better? By listening, you'll:
If you've ever felt stuck in the waiting room of life, wondering if God has forgotten you, this episode will remind you of a deeper truth: You are not behind. God is always on time.

| Does This REALLY Matter? | 11 Mar 2025 | 00:12:07 | |
We all have moments of doubt—wondering if the work we're pouring our hearts into actually matters. Whether it's raising kids, serving others, writing, creating, or simply showing up every day, the question sneaks in: Does this make a difference? Even J.R.R. Tolkien wrestled with this, fearing his work would never be completed or, worse, that no one would care. But what if our perspective is too small? What if the tiny, unseen efforts—the simple tasks we do in what feels like obscurity—are actually part of something far greater than we can imagine? In this episode, we'll explore the deeper truth that gives meaning to our work and our worth, no matter how unfinished or unnoticed it may seem. Listen in to learn:
💡Today's Big Idea: Your work matters—even one small leaf can be part of God's masterpiece. ⚡️Today's Small Step: Take one small, faithful step today.

| When God Says No: Understanding Unanswered Prayers (Part 1) | 12 Nov 2024 | 00:18:17 | |
I love celebrating those moments when it's so clear that God answered my prayers. Whether it's the job offer arriving at the perfect time, a loved one's health turning around, or that "just when I needed it" phone call from a friend. Those "yes" moments are incredible. But, as much as I cherish those times, they aren't the full picture. Not by a long shot. There have been plenty of times when God's answers seemed more like a "no," or worse, silence. What do we do when our prayers linger unanswered, or the outcome looks so different from what we hoped for? In this episode, I'll share how I've learned to navigate those seasons of waiting and uncertainty, and where I've discovered God's grace in the silence. Listen in to…

A few weeks ago, I was reminded of a journalist who set out on a journey searching for answers to similar questions. What he found in an unexpected place completely changed his perspective. It left me thinking about how we can find peace and purpose, even in a world that's constantly pushing for more.
Tune in to hear:
💡Today's Big Idea: In a world of many and much, take heart as you serve the one in front of you with great love. ⚡️Today's Small Step: Take the pressure of doing "much" off your shoulders today, and enjoy serving the one in front of you in Jesus' name.

| When the Way Is Unclear | 15 Oct 2024 | 00:14:59 | |
Imagine sitting in a small, dimly lit room, your heart pounding as you wait for something painful that may or may not happen—a shock, literally. The uncertainty of not knowing when, or even if, it will strike hangs over you like a storm cloud. Then, you're presented with a choice: wait it out or press the button and shock yourself right now to end the waiting. What would you do? Surprisingly, a study from the University of Virginia found that many people chose to endure the pain immediately rather than face the discomfort of uncertainty. This fascinating insight gives us a glimpse into how we handle the unknown—and how much we fear it.
What if we could embrace the unknown as a space where we slow down, notice God, and trust the process, rather than rushing into action? Today, we're exploring how to find peace and grace in seasons where the way forward isn't clear, and why it's okay to not have all the answers.
Tune in to learn:
💡Today's Big Idea: When the way is unclear, God is still near.

| What if I Made This Easy? | 08 Oct 2024 | 00:15:49 | |
Have you ever felt like life is a never-ending uphill battle, where every task feels like scaling Mount Everest? You're not alone. Recently, I found myself in that very place—both literally and metaphorically—during a sweltering summer hike. In my determination to power through, I ignored the quiet nudge to take it slow and enjoy the journey. The result? A rather embarrassing episode that left me lying flat in the middle of the street, wondering why I hadn't just made it easier on myself.
It got me thinking: What if we approached life's challenges with grace instead of grit? What if we made room for rest, let go of the pressure to always achieve more, and listened to that gentle voice asking, "What if you made this easy?" God's grace isn't about doing all the things perfectly. It isn't even about doing all the things; it's about knowing when to give ourselves the space to breathe and take the next step with intention. There's wisdom in that, and today, I'm diving into how we can shift our mindset from striving to thriving by making things easier—not harder.
Tune in to discover how to:
💡Today's Big Idea: When you can, make it easy. ⚡️Today's Small Step: Choose one area of your life, and find one way to make it easy or at least easier.

| Grace for the Distracted: God's Greater Grace Series | 11 Nov 2025 | 00:14:59 | |
What if our biggest distractions weren't the real problem? Beneath every buzzing phone, late-night scroll, or extra trip to the fridge is something deeper we'd rather avoid. In this episode, we hear the surprising story of a Yale professor nearly undone by a pedometer and uncover why distraction is almost always about pain, not just the thing that grabs our attention. The encouraging news is that we are not powerless. God's grace meets us in the ordinary moments when we are tempted to run or hide. With the 5 R Roadmap, we learn to walk through distraction not with guilt or grit, but with grace that shapes us from the inside out. In this episode, we explore:
💡Today's Big Idea: Distraction is not about the thing you reach for, it's about the pain you're trying to avoid. ⚡️Today's Small Step: The next time you feel that tug toward distraction, pause. Ask yourself, What's the ache underneath this urge? **** QUOTES "Superficiality is the curse of our age. The doctrine of instant satisfaction is a primary spiritual problem. The desperate need today is not for a greater number of intelligent people, or gifted people, but for deep people." Richard Foster "There was a point where I felt utterly burnt out, and I questioned whether true spiritual transformation was even possible. It wasn't until I embraced practices like Sabbath, simplicity, and silence that I found the rest my soul desperately needed."
