BRENT TUCKER , GREEN BERET, DELTA FORCE NOW TIER ONE PODCAST HOST HAS AN UNFILTERED CHAT WITH TOPP.20 Sep 202601:49:30

Brent Tucker spent 20 years in US Army Special Operations, serving as both a Green Beret and an operator with the elite 1st SFOD-D — better known as Delta Force.

Across his career, Brent completed 13 combat deployments to Iraq, Afghanistan and Syria, serving as an assaulter and sniper. His service came at a serious personal cost: he was shot and wounded by grenade shrapnel during combat in Afghanistan, injuries for which he received the Purple Heart.

After medically retiring as a Master Sergeant in 2018, Brent took the same drive into a new chapter — building businesses supporting the first responder community and becoming the host of the Tier 1 Podcast.

From Green Beret to Delta Force, combat deployments and being wounded in action, to life after the military and finding a new purpose behind the microphone — Brent Tucker joins The Old Paratrooper Podcast.

CHRIS RYAN RETURNS: GAZA, BRAVO TWO ZERO & YOUR QUESTIONS ANSWERED23 Aug 202601:32:35

The views expressed in this clip and podcast are those of the guests and do not necessarily reflect those of The Old Paratrooper Podcast.

⚠️ VIEWER DISCRETION ADVISED ⚠️This podcast contains graphic descriptions and discussions that some viewers may find distressing.

You asked for him back — so we got him back. After the incredible response to his first appearance, Chris Ryan returns to The Old Paratrooper Podcast for a second conversation that goes into territory we simply couldn't cover the first time.Chris begins by talking about his first-hand experience of Gaza, after joining a military delegation that received an intensive briefing on the October 7 attacks before entering Gaza and seeing the tunnel network for himself. He describes the footage he was shown, the devastation he witnessed, the complexity of fighting above and below ground, and why he believes misinformation and propaganda have made an already horrific conflict even harder for the outside world to understand. This isn't presented as a comfortable conversation or an attempt to tell people what they should believe. It's Chris explaining what he personally saw, what he was told and what conclusions he drew from the experience, while also acknowledging the suffering of innocent civilians and the complexity of the conflict. Then we hand the episode over to you. After hundreds of questions and comments following the first podcast, I put some of the ones you wanted answered directly to Chris. We get into Bravo Two Zero, his thoughts on the criticism and controversy surrounding the patrol, his relationship with Andy McNab, the men who didn't come home, and some of the claims that have been made about what happened.Chris also talks about women serving on the front line, why he believes the standards should remain exactly that — standards — and why anyone capable of meeting them deserves their place. We discuss life inside the SAS, the early joint SAS/SBS selection, how dramatically the operational tempo changed during Iraq, whether he misses the Special Forces world, writing The One That Got Away, the psychological impact of revisiting old memories, becoming a bestselling author and dealing with the fame that followed. It's raw, at times uncomfortable, sometimes funny and completely unfiltered.

MARK MEADOWS DELTA FORCE, THE RANGERS & THE UNTOLD STORY OF HIS FATHER SPECIAL FORCES LEGEND DICK MEADOWS16 Aug 202601:21:27

This is a very special episode of The Old Paratrooper Podcast.I sit down with former Ranger and Delta Force operator Mark Meadows for a fascinating conversation about his own incredible military career but also about the extraordinary man he called Dad.

Major Richard “Dick” Meadows was one of the most influential figures in the history of American Special Operations. From Korea and the early days of the Green Berets, to serving alongside the British 22 SAS, covert operations with MACV-SOG in Vietnam and commanding the assault group on the legendary Son Tay Raid, his career reads like the history of modern Special Forces itself.

Even after retiring from the Army, Dick Meadows wasn't finished. He played an important role in the establishment of 1st SFOD-D — Delta Force, and later operated covertly inside Tehran during the planning for the 1980 Iran hostage rescue attempt. But this episode isn't simply military history.Mark gives us a rare insight into the man behind the legend — what Dick Meadows was like as a father, the standards he lived by, the lessons he passed down, and what it was like for Mark to forge his own path through the Rangers and ultimately Delta Force while carrying the Meadows name. Two generations.

Two extraordinary Special Operations careers. One incredible story.

This is an episode you won't want to miss.

I fired six shots and killed all six of them.15 Jul 202600:01:10

On a Friday afternoon, soldier Gary Roberts walked out of his barracks in Edinburgh – and with that, the Army. By Monday morning, he was in Baghdad, Iraq. Issued with body armour, weapons, and as much ammunition as he could carry, he was ready to begin work as a privately-hired contractor.Baghdad, Iraq – ‘The dead guy hangs limply from the door of the bus, face down, legs on the steps, head on the floor. He paid with his life; blood – across his body, up the side of the bus, a puddle on the floor around his head.’Basra, Iraq – ‘Suddenly, in a fluid motion, he stands. His rifle is aimed at one of the soldiers in my call sign. I bring my rifle up, aim…I shoot once, twice, in quick succession.’“A very real and raw, hard-hitting insight into the harsh brutality of war and all that follows, by a man who has been at the sharp end many times” – Jordan Wylie, star of Channel 4’s Hunted and best-selling author of Citadel.Seven Point Six Two is more than just a story of war, or private contractors working in the most difficult of circumstances in the most dangerous countries on the planet. The book contains real, never-before-seen personal photographs of conflict and its aftermath. It’s a story of action, danger, and false allegations faced on a daily basis by those on the front lines.Get yourself a copy belowhttps://share.google/3Nny34Ux3tPRvHqymInterested in supporting the podcast ??? Remembering Those Who Never Returned04 Jul 202600:02:56

The Somme. A name that means so much to so many, yet until you stand here, it’s impossible to truly understand its scale. This was my first visit, and no amount of reading, documentaries or photographs could prepare me for what it feels like to walk these battlefields. Today they’re peaceful fields, lined with crops, trees and quiet country roads. But just over a century ago, this landscape witnessed one of the bloodiest battles in British military history. As I walked through places like Thiepval, Beaumont-Hamel and the countless cemeteries scattered across the Somme, it became clear that every step was on ground where thousands of young men fought, suffered and, for many, never returned home. It’s impossible not to think about who they were. Sons, brothers, fathers and friends. Ordinary people asked to do extraordinary things. Many were little older than teenagers, carrying hopes, fears and dreams that would never be realised. What struck me most wasn’t just the scale of the loss, but the silence. The silence that now covers ground once filled with artillery, gunfire and unimaginable chaos. That silence gives you time to reflect—not just on the sacrifice made here, but on the cost of war itself.Standing amongst the headstones, you quickly realise that every name represents a family whose lives were changed forever. Behind every grave is a story. Behind every memorial is someone who was loved and never forgotten. As someone who has served myself, visiting the Somme carried an even deeper meaning. It reminded me that while equipment, tactics and uniforms change, the courage, camaraderie and sacrifice of those who wear the uniform never really do.This journey wasn’t just about looking back through history. It was about remembering the people behind it. Ensuring that, 110 years later, their sacrifice is still recognised and their stories continue to be told. The Somme leaves you with more questions than answers. But one thing is certain: we owe these men our remembrance.Lest we forget. #britisharmy #motivation #britishsoldier #veteran #viral #parachuteregiment #thesomme #mentalhealthawareness

"Why Are Veterans Treated Better in Some Countries Than Others?" 🇬🇧🇺🇸🌍21 Jun 202600:02:56

How much value do different countries place on those who serve?

In this clip, we discuss how veterans, serving members of the armed forces, and emergency services personnel are viewed and treated around the world. From public respect and recognition to healthcare, support networks, benefits, and opportunities after service, the differences between countries can be striking.

Having served in the military, worked in close protection, and spent over a decade in the fire service, I've seen firsthand how service is perceived both at home and abroad. Why do some nations openly celebrate their veterans while others seem to forget them once the uniform comes off?

Join the conversation as we explore the realities, challenge perceptions, and ask an important question: are we doing enough for those who dedicate their lives to protecting others?

I'm not saying I'm right, and everyone's situation is different, but it's a question I've been asked countless times and this is my honest take based on my own experiences.

I’ll be honest… it’s been a bit quiet on here. Not because nothing’s happening, more the opposite.Been flat out behind the scenes trying to get things right.Chasing people, sorting episodes, redoing bits that just weren’t good enough first time round. Some of it’s gone well. Some of it hasn’t.That’s just how it goes.I’m not interested in chucking stuff out for the sake of it.If it’s not right, it doesn’t go out. Simple as that. There’s some proper conversations lined up though. The kind you don’t really hear anywhere else, no acting up, no made up bollocks. Just people talking as it actually was.It might look quiet from the outside, but there’s a lot going on.Just trying to build this the right way, not the fast way.Still moving forward as always.#veteran #britisharmy #viral #veteran #britisharmy #viral #royalmarinecommando #motivation #love #funny #parachuteregiment #interview #military #algorithm #youtubeshorts #facebook #instagram

Former Paratrooper reacts to the terror attack02 May 202600:02:57

I’ve seen situations like this before—different uniform, different country, same chaos. What people don’t understand is how fast these moments unfold. One second it’s control, the next it’s unpredictable. Everyone watching from the outside sees a still image… but that’s not reality. Reality is noise, adrenaline, decisions made in fractions of a second. My reaction? It’s not about jumping on a bandwagon or shouting from the sidelines. It’s about asking the right questions. What led to this point? What was the threat? What options were available in that moment?Because unless you’ve been in situations where things can turn violent in a heartbeat, it’s easy to judge with the comfort of hindsight. That doesn’t mean everything is right. It means context matters.I’ve worked in environments where control isn’t pretty—it’s messy, fast, and sometimes uncomfortable to watch. But there’s always a line. And that line needs to be understood, not ignored. For me, it’s simple—don’t rush to outrage, don’t ignore accountability. Look at the full picture.Experience over opinion.#veteran #funny #britisharmy #podcast #viral #royalmarinecommando #motivation #parachuteregiment #interview #mentalhealthawareness
