And somewhere amongst all of this we recap the preliminary finals games from the weekend and dig into our predictions for the Dally M Medals Awards night this week. Timecodes:

Thursday show in full effect! Welcome back to the 5thanddribble podcast where the dribble flows on the Thursday while we look at some of the minor stories around the NBA. With a new home studio set up, the guys take a little deep dive into some of the trades that the Lakers could look at for Anthony Davis. Teams include Brooklyn, Chicago, Warriors and the Dallas Mavericks. Are you taking Davis Bertans for Anthony Davis to make the contracts work? Or would you hang up first? Then, we take a brief look at all things that happened around the league when all 30 teams are in action. Shout out the the NBA for just churning out the schedule and making voting a priority in their schedule. The Clippers break the Cavaliers win streak, the "First Round Round Robin" was in full effect, and the Jazz keep winning. Sprinkle in a little NBA discussion between Luka Doncic and Giannis Antetokounmpo and there you have it, Thursday show complete!

On today's show, the lads take things to the next level! New intros means more structure so send us your feedback on them! From there, the lads start every Tuesday with the download of the weekends! Lachy and the Sherps hit the town a couple of times and Matty B was left holding his d**k. No matter, Matty B enjoyed his time with family while the boys were getting silly on Saturday and paying for it on Sunday! The Piss King spreads a few fibs and Lachy has to defend himself. Then, we can talk some NBA. Kicking off the NBA portions, the Sherpa finally hands in his homework. No detention today! The lads take a deep dive on all things Chicago Bulls and the Sherpa starts to learn about position less basketball and why some people are more impactful off the bench. #WeLoveGoran. Then we head around the league. Matty B and Lachy start to break down some of the big stories! Kyrie Irving, a mainstay in the headlines now, has been dropped by Nike. Will he play in the NBA again? Giannis makes sure every knows he is humbled by God, not blessing him with a 3 point shot. And, lastly, a few major injuries to some key title contenders leaves question marks over the Phoenix Suns and Toronto Raptors. Tune in for a jam packed show!

| #122 Thursday Show | Interrupted programming | 02 Nov 2022 | 00:36:45 | |
With the NBA still chugging along and a few stories coming out of the woodwork, the lads jump in head first! The news of the day: Steve Nash and the Brooklyn Nets. Steve Nash has been let go and Matty B cannot get over how parallel this is to Jason Kidd at the Milwaukee Bucks. Will Nash come back into the coaching realm? Will the most winningest coach in Brooklyn Nets history be better on another team? Will he just go and be an analyst for the World Cup coming up in Qatar? Who knows. We try though! The lads get real vibey on this show and become interrupted in the middle forcing a change of scenery. Does that stop them? You bet it doesn't! Hitting their stride, the lads dive back in to talk all things standings and how cooked the West is shaping up. PG has been a beast. The Warriors are yet to fire. And the Lakers, dumpster-fire. Enjoy this real Thursday episode!
| #225 I would have $2 | 08 Jul 2024 | 01:27:22 | |
New format, same idiots. The lads introduce some new segments, highlight the new sponsor, and field goal doink their way into a good round of football ahead of Origin Game III decider. No Sherpa, no worries. Audio and visuals a go! Timecodes:
| #121 Tuesday Show | Under the Covers with Nic | 31 Oct 2022 | 01:25:14 | |
The lads chopped and changed into a few different clothes today! As always on a Tuesday show, the lads started with a little weekends and a cameo from the Sherpa. Are you Shmarter than a Sherpas was played early in the piece because the lads were required elsewhere! The Cover signal went up into the night sky and the lads jumped onto The Daily Dribble podcast to chat all things NBL and NBA. Nic, from The Daily Dribble, came firing at the lads with questions left and right and regarding the NBL and the boys returned serve! Kings are going to be the Kings but can they go back to back? What is happening in Cairns? WHAT is happening OVER THE POND?! The only thing better than New Zealand on the court is their social media team! Switching gears to the NBA, the lads talk on who has been the most disappointing to start the season. Is it the Lakers, Nets or Clippers who have let down the most? Can all those teams turn it around? Would you trade AD or Westbrook first? EVERYTHING and more is answered this week so tune in!
| #120 Thursday Show | Sometimes maybe good, sometimes maybe shit | 26 Oct 2022 | 00:41:09 | |
Matty B is still coming off some sickness so bare with the boys on this one. The NBA is yet to get into full swing so the lads do their best to drop some knowledge on you about all things in the league. Portland are raising some eyebrows with their undefeated start but one of the lads isn't sure it is sustainable. The tank job for the Alien isn't going well for some teams. Utah are doing their best to raise their value right before everyone is shipped out of town, start 3-1 on the season. Watch that diminish as they face the Houston Rockets, Memphis Grizzlies (twice) and Denver Nuggets over the next couple of days). A few more surprises in the roles of some Australian boys. Dyson Daniels comes up pretty influential in a big Ne Orleans Pelicans win over the Dallas Mavericks. And, Jock Landale also huge in the Phoenix Suns win over the Golden State Warriors. How many techs were dealt in this one?! The boys come back home (to daddy) and chat a little NBL so that you guys get your full basketball fix. The Sydney Kings are trying to set the record straight and pump the Cairns Taipans into the ground this weekend. And another team to keep your eyes peeled for, the New Zealand Breakers. They come up against their first two big challenges in the Adelaide 36ers and the Tasmania JackJumpers. Are they on the rise or pulling the wool over everyone's eyes? Enjoy this real Thursday episode - it was another tough carry for ya boys!
| #119 Tuesday Show | Tough weekend, tougher carry | 24 Oct 2022 | 01:10:53 | |
The voices and audio is distorted on this Tuesday show, purely because we did not have voices of our own 24 hours ago. We are sucking down (pause) on the mics in order to get some content out for you all so please bear with us. The lads discuss why they have no voices due to the big weekend that ensued. Matty B did another lap around the sun, Lachy moved into a new party house and all hell has broken loose over the weekend. On today's show, the NBA has bee going for a week so the lads look into some of their big calls made last week. The lads play a few rounds of "It's just one week but...". They then discuss the prospects of Lauri Markkanen probably being the Most Improved Player. Let be serious though, everyone is being shipped out of Utah. Danny Ainge must be seething seeing his team win and that means they're all gone. The Celtcis, Bucks, Blazers and Jazz are the only undefeated teams and the Lakers are a hot mess. Who would've seen that coming? The boys then jump into a little "Who he play for?" in order to spice things up a little. There has been a lot of movement in the NBA and it's time to test our knowledge! This will probably happen around the trade deadline as well so stay tuned for more of this banter. Stick with us, we will sound sext again on Thursday.
| #118 Thursday Show | Baked Beans and Ball | 19 Oct 2022 | 00:41:21 | |
Yesterday was the best day of the year. Opening day in the NBA! The lads take a deep dive on all thing s day one in the NBA and give you their opinions on where the teams sit after day one. The J's, Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, were red hot for the Celtics. The Boston Celtics looked really good with Malcom Brogdon contributing straight away, Noah Vonleh playing a role and everyone gelling. James Harden did everything he could for the 76ers. What happened to this revamped 76ers bench? Was this not supposed to be a gamechanger for them? I guess time will tell! Ring Ceremony and first wins! The Golden State Warriors came out and never looked uncomfortable. Stephen Curry and Co. handled the Los Angeles Lakers pretty easily. Bench points told the story in this one as well as Steph getting hot in the second half. LeBron James did everything he could with 31/14/8 and in typical fashion could have had 10 more points if calls went his way. Anthony Davis had something to prove with a huge first quarter grabbing steals and running the break. The benches told the story. Warriors looked more settled and deeper than the Lakers and just strolled to a victory regardless of a Lakers late push. The lads then break down how good it is having the NBA back and what games people should be looking out for. Tune in or all this and more wherever you find good podcasts!
| #117.5 RLWC Half Chub No.2 | 18 Oct 2022 | 00:35:35 | |
On today's bonus half chub the lads talk all things around the first of the pool games. Australia? Beasts. Samoa? Dramas. Injury woes. English Daddy's. England came out and showed Samoa what is what and really laid down the smackdown. The lads also talk all things Des Hasler and put a cap on the Manly saga. A quickie but a goodie. Listen where you find all good podcasts!
| #117 Tuesday Show | NBA Award Locks | 17 Oct 2022 | 01:21:25 | |
On today's show, the lads take a deep dive on NBA Awards! The season starts tomorrow so the way to early predictions need to start along with it! With a jam-packed show, make sure you tune in and join the laughs! Are you Shmarter than a Sherpa returns with a new guest; friend of the podcast Big Drewzy. Will the Sherpa get one on the board or will the listeners go 2 up? From there, the Sherpa retells his homework and the lads give him a grade. Was it Curry? Was it LeBron? Who is better statistically? Later on, the lads take a deep dive on all your major NBA awards. Yes, this includes Most Improved Player. This is an award that could be made so cool but basically just goes to a fringe all-star. Yes, this includes Sixth Man of the Year. Another award that could be cool but is almost ruined by the media and playing schemes. Tyler Herro won last year but played the 3rd most amount of minutes on his team? Tune in for all the regular segments as well including weekends, bagging out Lachy and hear what the Sherpa has to study next week!
| #116.5 Weekend Show | Half-chub | 15 Oct 2022 | 00:24:47 | |
On today's bonus show, the lads wanted to talk a little Rugby League World Cup (RLWC) so lucky you! The NRL is a shit-storm right now with all of the Des Halser** drama and Lach has a few things to say. Would thi shavehappened anyway? How will friend of the show and fellow writer Tobias be with Manly being a dumpster fire? The lads then take a semi-dive into the RLWC. Samoa versus England will kick of the group stages. Matty B thinks that Samoa could pump England which may be an embarrassment in their home nation. But, England have some throbbers. Lachy has a whinge about the squad numbers once more and is noticeably agitated. Then, the lads break down how much Australia will pump the Fiji Bati. Some say 13+, others 28+, and even more 40+. We shall see! Enjoy this quickie for your weekend ears. ** Des was still in a job when this was recorded.
| #116 Thursday Show | Basketball Breakdown | 12 Oct 2022 | 00:31:37 | |
On a bit of a shorter episode today, we are going to do a little bit of landscaping. The lads take a bit of a surface area look as to what is going on in the NBA and NBL. As it is pre-season, there is not a whole lot going on. Yes, Draymond is punching people. Yes, games are happening. But, when the most exciting thing to talk about is Andre Drummond shooting 75% from 3 in pre-season, it is kind of a boring pre-season. The lads take a little dive into the NBA checking in on Lamelo's ankle, the injured stars that are coming back and wonder who might have a breakout year. Is this the best team Kristaps Prozingis has been surrounded by? Will James Wiseman come out and be another Evan Mobley? Only time will tell. Once every bit of the NBA is drained, the lads bring it home. The NBL has kicked off and the Kings are red hot. You would not be bale to tell that by the lads NBL Fantasy scores, but they are out here trying. Sydney will be taking on the Cairns Taipans this week and it is less of a walk in the park than you think. Cairns is currently sitting 3rd behind Keanu Pinder and Tajere McCall. Will their run and gun pace set off the Kings perfect start to the season? Tune in Friday night to see! Shhh, Keep your eyes peeled for a weekend Rugby League show as well.
| #115 Tuesday Show | East Over/Unders ft. Boston Dave | 10 Oct 2022 | 01:40:04 | |
It's transition time and that means basketball is back. Time to hit the "Dribble" side of 5thanddribble. Today's show is a jam-packed one so strap in! As always, with the Tuesday show, the lads start with how their weekends went and the answer is a resounding: wet. The lads introduce and dive into a new segment "Are you Shmarter than a Sherpa?". This is where you, the listener, will go up against out very own Sherpa to weekly test his knowledge! This week we have the little Sherpa defending the title of the audience and it was a good one! The lads discuss all things Eastern conference beginning with the South-East division. Thanks to Draft Kings, the best team to come out of the South-East is the Miami Heat. Or is it? With the Atlanta Hawks making some big moves, could they be in for a bigger season? How many in this division will tank for Victor "The Alien" Wenbanyama? How bad will the Charlotte Hornets be without Miles *redacted* Bridges? Only time will tell. Then, special guest Boston Dave joins the show to run through the Central and his beloved Atlantic division. The lads go back and forth on their Over/Unders and split on quiet a few decisions. Who will take out the East, Boston of Philly? Are the Milwaukee Bucks concerned about the regular season at all? All of these questions answered and much much more on a great, long episode. Welcome back, NBA!
| #114 Thursday Show | West Over/Unders | 05 Oct 2022 | 01:17:55 | |
It's transition time and that means basketball is back. Time to hit the "Dribble" side of 5thanddribble. On today's show, the lads discuss all things Western conference in the NBA. With a few questions sprinkled in from a few different listeners, the lads take a deep dive on the Over/Under rankings for all Western conference teams. After a few big deals, will the Minnesota Timberwolves be a playoff lock? Who are the top 4 in the West? Is Luka poised for an MVP season? Or is Ja Morant sneaky value? Draft Kings have provided us with their list of over/unders, with the Phoenix Suns winning the most amount of games at 52. and the San Antonio Spurs winning the least at 22.5. Spoiler alert: we have different opinions on each of these teams. Moves have been made and teams will be bad. Be sure to tune in to hear our takes on how the West will shape up this year!
| #224 Bald Head, Down There and Up Top | 01 Jul 2024 | 01:32:58 | |
Quickest weekends in the history of the show this week and it even included the Sherpa's. The lads are too busy growing up and pretending to be adults, but they weren't too busy to get together to chat Rugby League and breakdown last week's glorious Blue's victory in the State of Origin, nor cover the weekend of football that was. Timecodes:
| #113 Tuesday Show | Up the Riff! | 03 Oct 2022 | 01:00:39 | |
The show we have all been waiting for! On today's show, the lads cover all things NRL Grand Final. If you are ready for some dribble, you have come to the right place. The lads give their in-depth analysis with the Sherpa's asking a few hard hitting questions of Ashley Klein. There was an accusation of a forward pass, holding in the tackles and much more around kick pressure. At the end of the day, Penrith are the champs. They go back to back in two season and prove that this club is on the verge of dynastic. Matty B is happy to just sit back this show and listen at Lachy and Sherps go at it. On one side, the Penrith Panthers gave a clinical performance to the Parramatta Eels. On another side, did Parramatta even show up? Lachy puts to bed all of the rhetoric around the boys being "jovial" and "poor winners" with the simple argument: "Then just beat them". The lads touch on the NRLW Grand Final as well where Tamika Upton, Millie Boyle and Jesse Southwell took the Newcastle Knights to glory. Everyone showed out for the Knights and it ended up being a blow out. The lads then pivot to the NBL and cover a few things from the first week. Plenty of dribble, plenty of tears but above all ... Up the Riff. Tune in where you get your podcasts or on the Youtube channel!
| #112 Thursday Show | Docking with 2econdAgain | 28 Sep 2022 | 01:17:32 | |
On today's show, the lads are livestreaming for the first time. If you are a visual learner and want to see us and not just hear us, head over to: https://youtu.be/rRZnD1HUV14. If you are hear just for the giggles, welcome back! This one was a right laugh. The lads are joined by hosts Jacko and Nick from the 2econd Again Racing Podcast (2econdagain). For dudes with a horse racing background, they know their way around a Steeden for sure. The lads offer some great insight into this weeks Grand Final. From Jacko's birth-right to following the Parramatta Eels to Nick proclaiming that "of the 55 players [he knows], 17 of them would be Panthers players". Matty B and Lach go back a forth a little on who will win. The lads overall don't understand why and Lach is noticeably sweating on camera. Is he really that worried about Mitchell Moses and the Eels? The lads go around the room and drop their results on who will win the Clive Churchill Medal, the value they are paying and, the margin in the game so tune in for that alone. The side tangents are a plenty, so that is always fun. Through these twists and turns the 2econd Again lads really display their craft. If you love horse racing, give them a follow. In this episode alone they open up our eyes to the complexity of horse racing and where the value is in punting 3-4 days in advance. But, when these lads get into the nitty gritty, we get excited and go quiet with anticipation. Hanging on their every word, some college fund money is being made this weekend for sure! As always, gamble responsibly. Enjoy the show! Like where you can like. Follow where you can follow. Aaaaaaand, we will see you in the next one! Up the Riff.
| #111 Tuesday Show | Salty B*tch | 26 Sep 2022 | 01:26:35 | |
Show one of the week and it was a toughie for Matty B. The lads started off with such high spirits going into the show. They break down their weekends around the room going from high to low. Sherpa had a great time at the Robbie Williams concert. Lachy's Panthers put the Rabbitohs in their place. Matty B went to the homestead ... and then the games. The Sherpa has been nice to Matty B staying out of the DM's and giving him the floor to have a cry first. However, he was not stepping back when his team was challenged. Credit where it is due, only 2 teams out of 16 can make it to a Grand Final so well done Parramatta. But also, Fk Parra. Matty B explains why his North Queensland Cowboys were robbed and how this adds to a long history of the Cowboys being robbed in the Prelim Finals. Sure, a lot of the stats were in the Cowboys favour and they should have put it away but there were 3 glaring issues by the referees in this one that cannot go unseen. Credit to the Parramatta Eels. Can they win in the Battle of the West? Then, the lads break down the clinical win that was the Penrith Panthers against the South Sydney Rabbitohs. Lachy was grinning ear to ear when discussing the performance that the lads put in but did admit that he was worried to begin with. When the boys started to put 32 straight points on though, those worries faded. Brian To'o seals the half with a great Cody Walker drop off and Nathan Cleary seals the entire game with his mastery and final try. Is he a constant smokey for the last try of the game? This NRL Grand Final is one for the ages so tune into the Thursday pod to hear our Pre-Reviews. After breaking down the games, the lads broke down the season. Handing out grades to every team, and in-depth reasoning for the Top 8, the lads scored each team on their 2022 performance. They also factored in how this may stretch out into next year, the off-field business and what was smoke and mirrors. This episode has a lot to offer and a lot to take in. Come join us!

On today's show, the lads talk all things NRL. But... a little basketball first. Shout out to the Australian Opals opening up their FIBA World Cup campaign in Australian tonight. These French players don't know what's coming! On to the NRL and the lads bring back the Yeah/Nah report. From all things David Fifita's money to the Penrith Panthers potentially being fleeced of a lot of talent, all is covered. Is the pressure on the North Queensland Cowboys after having the week off? Is David Nofoaluma out of a job now Sua'ali'i pledges to Toa Samoa? Huge ripple effects throughout the entire Rugby League World Cup there! The boys venture down Prelim Lane and talk all things NQL Cowboys and Parramatta Eels. The Eels window is closing, and has been all year, but do they have one more win in them to make it to the big dance for the first time since 2009? Or will the same day travel screw them and give the Cowboys the advantage? What a joke same day travel is. Either way, we are going to have a salty Matty or salty Sherpa! All this and a much bigger deep dive on this week's Pre-Review Pod. Check it out!

On today's show, the lads take a deep dive on what was the weekend of NRL. Jumping straight into it, with time constraint s aplenty and geography not on their side, the lads go right into the NRL. Quick prayer. No weekend chat. Just business. The weekend start with an absolute destruction of the Canberra Raiders. Every category favoured the Parramatta Eels, who put up a club high score when Maika Sivo doesn't score (since he has been at the team). One lonely Xavier Savage try for the Canberra Raiders saw them go down 40-4 in what can only be remembered as a pretty uneventful game. It is hard to see a team go out like that after a sustained run. But hey, the fade was always coming. Sadly, the same thing can be said for the Cronulla Sharks. The South Sydney Rabbitohs decided to mount that Shark and ... redacted. Latrell Mitchell, aka TrellMit, was a showman. Playing to the crowd at Trellianz Stadium, he was perfect with the boot and is starting to garner some real respect as a goal kicker. All the big guns for the Rabbits were huge and no-one really stood up for the Sharkies. However, they are a young, hungry team. Are they still 1 piece away from being a legitimate contender? The lads leave this weeks predicitons alone but a surprise call in from the Sherpa means his takes are heard as well this week. The NBA season is fast approaching! With the Hall of Fame (HOF) induction for 2022 in the rear-view mirror, we thought we would draft some "All-most Hall of Famer" teams. Sprinkled in with a few "could happens" in Blake Griffin, Rajon Rondo and Bradley Beal are some solid "locks" for the HOF. Jayson Tatum, Devin Booker and Luka Doncic all cap off that list and our teams are based around these guys. Thanks to the great article by Rob Peterson at the Athletic for breaking it down. You decide! Who won the draft off? Until Thursday, stay outta trouble.
| #108 Thursday Show | Extra Dribble with that? | 14 Sep 2022 | 01:19:26 | |
A bit of this, a bit of that and a lot of dribble. The lads kick of this week's second episode with a tough of question time and it is all dribble from that! Who are the Top 5 players in the NRL? Who would you keep in an expansion draft? Favourite retro/jersey going around? Where does the line for retro begin and the line of 'aged' end? Lots of questions from the lovely listeners and lots of answers from your less-lovely hosts! From there, the lads start the break down some of the elimination semi-finals in Week 2 of the NRL Finals. Eels versus Raiders and Sharks versus Bunnies. Do the Parramatta Eels have all the pressure? Better team? Home Ground? Window closing? The Canberra Raiders are playing with house money but they are also the worse team. This WILL be a TIGHT one!
All this and a whole lot of dribble in this weeks final episode!

Business end of the season! Based on all of the Team of the Week results, and some listener involvement, the TOTY is done! James Tedesco, Stephen Crichton and Nicho Hynes come into the fold winning out their voted categories and the team is s-t-a-c-k-e-d! Once announced, the boys get into business. The in-depth breakdown of the NRL Finals for 2022 has begun and we have all your Round 1 takes here! In a finals series that could see all of the underdogs winning first round, there is cash for jam! The lads break down every single game for the round ahead and find it hard to split some of these teams apart. Friday night is a blockbuster. The Battle of the West between the Penrith Panthers and Parramatta Eels is always enticing. The Panthers are back to full strength and the Eels window is closing. It may come down to who is more desperate. Then, Super Saturday. The Melbourne Storm find themselves up against their bogeist of bogey teams in the Canberra Raiders. Both cold, wet and sad climates, the Raiders own the Storm at AAMI Park going 4-0 in their last 4 visits. Will Canberra get it done again? And lastly, Sunday. The oldest rivalry in Rugby League pens another chapter in their book. The Sydney Roosters host the South Sydney Rabbitohs in the new Hen House, Allianz Stadium, for back to back weeks. Will Latrell have something more to give? Is the loss of Joey Manu going to mean the end of the Roosters season? Only time will tell on each and every one of these games so buckle up!

| #105 Tuesday Show | Dolphin roll-call | 05 Sep 2022 | 01:47:49 | |
This week is jam packed so strap in or strap on! The lads open the show, as they do every week, with some weekend chat. Matty B made his way out to Balmain for the Sunday matinee where the Canberra Raiders romped the Wests Tigers. Lachy breaks down the Team of the Week which see Briton Nikora captain after his hat-trick in Newcastle. Friday Footy Tip-Off is a bust! The boys have 2 braincells between them but have figured out a way to counteract that so stay tuned for more! Reviewing the round, Matty B gives in to Lachy as his North Queensland Cowboys beat his NSW Cup Penrith Cubs. One for the battlers, for sure! Roosters and Rabbitohs is an interesting one with Joey Manu suffering the injury, how will this play in Week one of Finals? Is this a smokescreen by supercoach Robbo? We dissect a disappointing seasons end for the Brisbane Broncos. Would Patrick Carrigan, aka Andrew Carrigan, have made a difference? Would Gotham have seen another day? If the Storm had 10 more minutes, would they have caught the Parramatta Eels? Should Lachy be worried going into next round? All these questions are answered, and more, as the lads review Round 25, hold a bit of accountability for their early predictions and give a rapid fire preview for Finals Round 1!

| #223 What do we do when... | 24 Jun 2024 | 01:35:52 | |
It is pre-origin bye week which means barely any footy to chat about and yet we still make it past the 1 hour 30 mark! The Sherpa takes a victory lap as his mighty Titans gave the romping of the round as part of his almost client sweep but he still is not a happy man. Just wait till you hear his referee takes... Matty B's weekend is as predictable as ever whilst Lach coins his new favourite phrase: "What do we do when..." Timecodes:

| #102 Tuesday Show | Parra praise | 29 Aug 2022 | 01:27:12 | |
Ding dong, the witch is dead. Parra finally dropped 50 on a shit team. So maybe they are title contenders? On today's show, the lads chatted all things recapping Round 24. Covering the fall of the Broncos, the difference between the Bulldogs and Dragons and where Ben Hunt might end up this show got a little tangent-y! As all Tuesday's do, we kick off with the Team of the Week (TOTW) who featured first time captain Tino Fa'asuamaleaui! The lads then broke down everything that was round 24 from the Parradise win to the shocker of a club that is the Newcastle Knights. Matty B admits that his club is a top 3 team, which was a hard pill to swallow. Sherpa is riding high after Gutherson is named to TOTW and Parra get their praise. And, Lachy is sitting tall on the top of the Mountain, sipping tea watching the rest of us battle it out. An episode full of stories, laughs and criticism...join in on the fun!
| #101 Thursday Show | Filling in the clown shoes | 24 Aug 2022 | 01:27:25 | |
On today's show, we welcome a new co-host. Our brother from the Cover Mother, Liam from the "Give 'Em Liam" Podcast and owner ofr the Cover Network! A tragic Raiders fan, Liam joins us to discuss all things top 8 footy and much more. Starting, a bit differently this week, the lads break down the roadmap to the Raiders making the top 8 and what the vibe is like in Canberra currently. Outside of cold, Liam smells a little optimism in the air. The lads then progress onto the Yeah/Nah report. They cover everything from the price of Ben Hunt to the Melbourne Storm deflecting in the media with their smaller signings. Then, the fun stuff. The Pre-review comes along after a bit of gab and dribble, and the boys begin to construct their PlayUp multi. Convincing themselves into a Thursday night upset, the lads discuss how the Brisbane Broncos will get up over the Parramatta Eels. Then, the gloves are off, and the lads consider taking the 7.00 odds for the Penrith Panthers to put 51+ on the New Zealand Warriors. The North Queensland Cowboys get a good rap from Matty B (surprise, surprise) but Liam indulges him as he needs the South Sydney Rabbitohs to lose for his Raiders. Finally, the lads get to the sub-par Sunday games and what have we done to deserve these games? 16th v 10th and then 15th v 14th. If you guys need us, we are totally available to watch paint dry as it will be more entertaining. Scoring fests here and plenty of points to be had. Gamble responsibly. All this and much, much more on this weeks second episode! A huge thanks to Liam for coming to hang out, you are welcome anytime!
