The NXT AID STN Podcast is about how to use the Next Aid Station Mentality to overcome life's challenges. Whether it's tough times in your life due to marital or relationship stress, substance abuse, or anything else this mentality will help you get through life one aid station at a time. This mentality stems from ultra marathons where each aid station is a respite where you can sit down, fuel up, and reset for the next 5-7 miles before you get to the next aid station. This mentality specifically has helped my family and I get through tough times especially when I went to federal prison in Colorado. The way that I could efficiently serve my time was by creating aid stations along the way that I just had to get to. Jake is still dealing with the after effects of being in federal prison on the 4th of July for a couple years. The irony of playing a softball game while in prison on July 4th is something he's thought about over the years now that he's no longer incarcerated. The IMTUF 100 is an incredible 100 mile ultramarathon in Idaho that Jake and Mick have both ran. The Race Director, Jeremy Humphreys, is an awesome RD and we want to show some love to this race and give their runners some love as well.
