| Locked in for 2025 | 28 Aug 2024 | 01:16:53 | |
Super Netball's 2025 contract signing window is now closed and while there are still a few missing pieces of the puzzle that need to fall into place with training partners and 11th players, we at least know the main 10 that will represent each of the eight teams. Kate and Britt go through each of the club's rosters for next season and discuss the biggest signing news. Before hearing from Uganda She Crane goal shooter Mary Cholhok about her exciting move down under to the Queensland Firebirds.
| Back to back, baby! | 07 Aug 2024 | 01:06:10 | |
The Adelaide Thunderbirds are the Super Netball champions of 2024 after winning back-to-back premiership titles. They were victorious over the Melbourne Vixens, 59-57, who were courageous until the final whistle. There was nothing in the game, it was a real arm-wrestle and everything you would hope a grand final at this level would be. The win for the Thunderbirds cemented their undefeated record at home this season. For the Vixens, it is back to the drawing board with the knowledge they took it to the best team this year, and almost came away with a fairy tale finish. An MVP performance by 35-year-old veteran, Romelda Aiken-George, was a highlight of the grand final. Leading the Thunderbirds to the trophy off just two hours sleep mind you as her daughter was unwell the night before. After being let go by the Firebirds in 2022 after 14 years service, she has found her place at the top of the sport once more and is thriving in Adelaide.
| Where Art Thou Wallace-Joseph? | 05 Jun 2024 | 01:11:34 | |
Round 8 saw many of the league's top players sidelined with injury or illness and the Firebirds and the Mavericks enjoyed unexpected wins; for the Mavs it was their first win in front of their home crowd. The omission of Sam Wallace-Joseph from the Swifts game day 10 remains a hot discussion topic, and we try to unravel why she would have been dropped from their squad. Mavericks shooter and English Rose, Sasha Glasgow joins us to discuss her new role as she teams up with Henley Homes and Eating Disorders Victoria to shed light on eating disorders and promote positive body image, healthy relationships with food and to let those affected by eating disorders know they are not alone.
| The Magic, The Myth, The Mentor | 13 Jul 2021 | 01:45:55 | |
To celebrate the wonder that is double centurion Geva Mentor, we spent some time with the Commonwealth Games gold medallist and Collingwood Magpies captain — talking netball, friendships and spa baths. Also on the agenda: Fever's back-to-back losses, which teams are still fighting fatigue and are the Swifts the new favourites to win the competition?
| Fighting Fatigue | 06 Jul 2021 | 01:16:06 | |
As players spend extended time away from home some teams are dealing with it better than others. The NSW Swifts are one of those teams, who, despite their challenges were able to beat the undefeated West Coast Fever and elevate their chances as a serious contender for the title. We're excited to chat to talented Adelaide Thunderbirds defender Matlida Garrett on this podcast and to have a full round with 4 games to talk about.
| Flying by the seat of their pants | 01 Jul 2021 | 01:20:13 | |
With COVID-19 threatening to derail the Super Netball fixture, players have again been asked to be flexible to keep the competition going, as most teams head to Melbourne to form another hub. Meanwhile, fans weren't happy about the Fever's not-so-subtle swipe at the Vixens online, playing the blame game after the Melbourne team didn't turn up for their scheduled RD8 game in Perth. Leadership has also been a hot topic on social media, as we all went into a bit of a frenzy trying to piece together the controversy of events that have unfolded over the past week, lacking a clear figurehead that could provide updates on what was happening and perhaps take better control of the situation.
| She's Back Baby | 21 Jun 2021 | 01:08:06 | |
Round 8 is a split round in SSN, so we discuss the two games that were on offer. The Swifts were clinical against a struggling Firebirds outfit who may have just squandered away their top four dreams; meanwhile Jo Harten brought the Giants back to life against a penalty heavy Thunderbirds who looked disjointed. - Have the Swifts found their starting seven yet? - Has the Thunderbirds winning ways of the past and former reputation bought them more time than they deserve?
| Half the Distance | 15 Jun 2021 | 01:27:15 | |
We're halfway through the 2021 season and former Aussie Diamonds coach Lisa Alexander joins us to discuss all things Super Netball. While some teams are starting to fatigue and struggling with consistency, the West Coast Fever show no signs of slowing down. The team are still undefeated seven rounds in, and are certainly the team to beat right now — despite more rumblings within the netball community about whether their salary cap sanctions were harsh enough. Bold coaching decisions, the psychological effect of interstate players playing at home and league expansion are also on the agenda.

| Scoreboard shocker | 14 May 2024 | 01:04:04 | |
In round five, the West Coast Fever and Melbourne Vixens continued their unbeaten streak to remain ladder leaders. The Fever hit their highest Super Netball score yet this season at 94 goals and the Vixens claimed the first instalment of the Sargeant-McKinnis Cup. But the biggest story was neither of these moments and actually revolved around a scoreboard drama between the Giants and Sunshine Coast Lightning. Where an error by a bench official swung the game into extra time ... some 50 minutes after the whistle had been blown. Here to fill us in on how it all went down, eventually resulting in the Giants breaking their 2024 hoodoo to get their first victory, is Diamonds star Sophie Dwyer.

| BONUS Verity Simmons -11 years not out | 30 Nov 2023 | 00:29:19 | |
After 11 years competing at the elite level of netball, Verity Simmons, West Coast Fever's talented mid-courter, has decided to retire from the sport. Her decision was partly influenced by the ongoing disputes between Netball Australia and the unresolved CPA, which has left netballers without pay for nine weeks. Throughout her career, Verity has faced injuries, grand final losses, two premiership wins, and has even had the honour of wearing the Diamonds dress. It was truly inspiring to speak with one of the most hardworking netball players the sport has ever seen and hear her plans for the future.
