Cancel Culture Has No Sentence | Tim Kelley | The MiddleGround Mic
26 juin 2026
00:48:45
What happens when someone gets canceled — and there’s no way back?
Tim Kelley — MIT alumnus, former Navy commanding officer, global leadership advisor, and founder of canceledleader.com — joins The MiddleGround Mic to make the case that cancel culture’s real crisis is not the cancellation itself. It is the complete absence of any defined path to re-entry.
Tim and Joe cover why Kevin Spacey’s full exoneration in court bought him nothing in Hollywood, what happened to Puerto Rico Governor Ricky Rosselló when a manipulated chat log went viral before anyone checked the facts, why being innocent does not protect you when it becomes a competition of narratives, and what a real “uncanceled” system would actually look like.
If you believe in the political middle — that most people want accountability without permanent exile — this conversation is for you.

Wayne County SMART Bus Tax: $570M Millage Fight Explained
22 juin 2026
01:02:04
Wayne County voters will decide on the August 4 SMART bus millage, a public transportation proposal tied to SMART bus service, the Wayne County Transit Authority, and former opt-out communities. Matt Wilk and Patty Pozios from Not SMART Wayne join Joe Steagall to explain why their group opposes what they call a new $570 million SMART bus tax after House Bill 6088 changed the opt-out system in Wayne County.
This episode covers the Wayne County SMART bus tax fight, the Wayne County SMART millage, local control, Detroit and DDOT, Livonia, Plymouth, Northville, Canton, Van Buren, Downriver, fare revenue, taxpayer subsidy, senior transportation, ballot language, and where voters can check the receipts before the August 4 ballot.
Matt and Patty argue that Wayne County voters need to understand what changed before this proposal reached the ballot. They say communities that had the ability to opt out of SMART for decades lost that local control after House Bill 6088, and they believe many voters are being sold a softened version of the cost, the service guarantees, and the financial reality behind the system.
The conversation covers Not SMART Wayne’s claims about 3% fare revenue, 97% taxpayer subsidy, 3.88 riders per bus, a $570 million Wayne County cost, senior transportation, existing local transit programs, broken promises from Oakland County, pension and legal liability concerns, and why opponents believe the word “replacement” in the ballot language deserves a much closer look.
This is not about telling voters what to think. It is about understanding what is on the ballot, what changed with opt-out communities, what the opposition is claiming, and where Wayne County voters can verify the information before they vote.
In this episode:
What is the Wayne County SMART bus tax?
What is the Wayne County SMART millage on the August 4 ballot?
Why Not SMART Wayne calls it a new SMART bus tax
How House Bill 6088 changed opt-out communities
Why local control is central to the opposition argument
What Detroit, DDOT, Livonia, Plymouth, Northville, Canton, Van Buren, and Downriver have to do with the issue
Why opponents focus on the $570 million Wayne County cost
The “only $8/month” framing and why opponents reject it
The 3% fare revenue and 97% taxpayer subsidy claim
The 3.88 riders-per-bus claim
Whether the proposal changes existing senior transportation
What “replacement” means in the ballot language
Where voters can check Not SMART Wayne’s receipts

Beyond Burnout: Finding Your Mission After 40 (with Dr. Kyle Hulsebus)
02 juin 2026
01:08:51
Are you constantly exhausted, stressed, and feeling like you're just going through the motions?
The wellness industry will sell you a thousand ways to “manage your stress,” but my guest today argues they may be treating the wrong disease.
Dr. Kyle Hulsebus joins The MiddleGround Mic to deliver a grounded, no-BS diagnosis for modern burnout: what if the problem is not just overwork, but a loss of purpose, direction, and connection?
In this conversation, we dive into why a life driven only by duty can drain your soul, while a life guided by mission can have you working late into the night and waking up energized. We also get into phones, news overload, creating vs. consuming, life after 40, and why stress may be a signal that something deeper needs an adjustment.
This is not just a wellness episode.
This is a conversation about purpose, burnout, modern life, and what happens when your body, mind, and direction are no longer lined up.

Prosecuting the Collapse of American Trust with Chip Webster
28 mai 2026
00:39:23
The evidence is undeniable. In 1964, 77% of Americans trusted their government. Today, that number has collapsed to a catastrophic 17%. This isn't a political problem; it's a systemic failure.
In this urgent conversation, I sit down with author and civic leader Chip Webster to prosecute the case against a nation that has lost its way. We dissect the "gradual, then sudden" bankruptcy of our democracy, why we no longer trust our institutions or each other, and the root cause of our crisis of disconnection.
Then, we unveil the radical solution: a sweeping proposal for universal national service designed to rebuild our social fabric from the ground up. This isn't just another interview. It's the blueprint for a national reset.

Midwest Local Politics: Grounded Dialogue
18 mai 2026
00:32:06
It started with a simple question from a voter that proves our government is broken: "What is a senator?"
In this in-depth conversation, I sit down with Marcie Grzywacz, an ICU nurse, mother, and candidate for Michigan State Senate (District 4). We discuss her fight for transparency on her local city council, the frustrating "blurred lines" that disconnect voters from their government, and the kitchen table issues—from outrageous DTE bills to crumbling roads—that Lansing needs to solve.
This isn't just a political interview; it's a diagnosis of a system that has lost touch with the people it serves.

Is Aric Nesbitt The Next Governor of Michigan?
14 mai 2026
00:35:52
Michigan Senate Republican Leader Aric Nesbitt sits down with Joseph Steagall for an unfiltered conversation about the policies quietly driving up the cost of every new home in Michigan — to the tune of $95,000 in government-mandated costs that most buyers never see on the invoice.
• The housing mandate that added $95,000 to every new Michigan home and who is responsible for it
• Michigan's reading crisis: why 3 out of 5 fourth graders cannot read at grade level and what Nesbitt's plan actually is
• What a Nesbitt governorship would look like in practical terms — not talking points, actual policy
• Where Joseph pushes back and where the centrist case holds up
This is the conversation mainstream media is not having. No party line. No spin. Just the receipts.

CLASSIFIED: Iran's Secret Pathway to 200 Nuclear Weapon
12 mai 2026
00:42:33
The Intelligence Dossier
The media is deliberately distracting you with uranium enrichment and missile strikes. They are hoping you never ask about the REAL threat.
According to foreign policy analyst Ron Bee, the back door to a nuclear Iran has been wide open for years. The name on that door? Plutonium.
This is the intelligence briefing the mainstream media refuses to air. In this episode, we expose:
• The Plutonium Pathway: Iran's real nuclear program. • The Bushehr Deception: Why a single power plant changes the entire game. • Pakistan's Secret Role: The "ally" playing both sides of the crisis. • The Hormuz Kill Switch: How 20% of the world's oil is now a hostage. • China's Energy Blackmail: The strings the CCP is pulling behind the scenes. • The Oil War: Why the real battlefield isn't what you think.
This isn't cable news. This is an indictment of a global cover-up.

The Iran Situation Is Bigger Than The Media Is Telling You
06 mai 2026
00:43:49
Is the world sleepwalking into a larger war?
Former Navy JAG officer, federal prosecutor, and former national security advisor Don Brown joins The MiddleGround Mic for one of the most intense conversations we’ve had yet — breaking down Iran, the Strait of Hormuz blockade, sleeper cell fears, Europe’s growing instability, and why global leaders may be closer to a breaking point than the public realizes.
We discuss:
• Iran’s collapsing military posture • Why the Strait of Hormuz matters to YOUR wallet • Sleeper cell concerns inside the United States • Europe’s “no-go zone” reality • Why Trump’s strategy looks more like Reagan than Iraq • The hidden geopolitical risks nobody in media wants to explain • Missile threats, oil shocks, EMP fears, and the race against escalation
This isn’t partisan panic. This is geopolitical reality explained without the corporate media filter.
WATCH BEFORE THE NEXT HEADLINE HITS.

You’re Not Seeing The Full Story (And You Know It)
24 avr. 2026
00:40:27
It’s not just you.
Something feels off—and it’s getting harder to ignore.
In this episode, we break down why the version of events you’re seeing in the media might only be a fraction of what’s actually happening. From courtroom realities to selective prosecution, this conversation challenges how information is filtered, framed, and delivered.
More importantly—it asks the question most people are already thinking:
If everything feels manipulated… does your vote still matter?
This isn’t about picking a side.
It’s about figuring out what’s real.

-------------------'xx But did you actually choose?
Most people believe the real decision happens in November. That’s when you show up, pick a name, and feel like your voice matters.
But what if the real decision already happened before you got there?
In this episode, we sit down with election law attorney Chad Peace to break down something most voters never think about — how candidates actually make it onto the ballot.
Primaries. Party systems. Low-turnout elections.
Stages where a much smaller group of voters can shape who everyone else ends up choosing from.
This isn’t about left vs right.
It’s about understanding where influence actually happens in the process.
And once you see it, it changes how you look at your vote.
Listen all the way through and decide for yourself.

The Middle Ground Mic | Mark Lynch: Taking On Lindsey Graham
13 avr. 2026
00:47:31
30 years in power and a 43% lifetime conservative score. By any standard that is a failing grade — and South Carolina business owner Mark Lynch has decided the only way to fix it is to do it himself.
This interview is not an endorsement of Mark Lynch or any political candidate. The Middle Ground Mic provides a platform for all perspectives. No Left. No Right. Forward.
On this episode of The Middle Ground Mic, Joe Steagall sits down with Senate candidate Mark Lynch, who has put $5 million of his own retirement money into his campaign to unseat Lindsey Graham. This independent politics conversation covers Graham's documented voting record, why Mark is refusing AIPAC money, how his 74-year family business and faith background prepared him for Washington, and what a biblical decision-making process looks like in the United States Senate. No left. No right. Just the facts.
With the 2026 South Carolina primary approaching, this race is one of the most watched outside challenger campaigns in the country. Mark Lynch is not a politician. He's a businessman with 40 years of fruit in his life and $5 million of skin in the game — and that changes everything about how this race is being watched nationally.

Matt Campbell: His 9/11 Inquest Is Now at the UK Supreme Court
02 avr. 2026
01:13:47
Matt Campbell's brother Jeff died in the North Tower on September 11th 2001. The official inquest spent two minutes on his life and death. No investigation into cause of death. No evidence examined. The coroner signed off the wrong year of death on the paperwork. When Matt submitted a 2,500 page application to the UK Attorney General requesting a new inquest the answer was no. Twice. The reason — the Attorney General claimed the decision was immune to judicial review entirely.
In this episode of The Middle Ground Mic Matt Campbell walks through the complete legal timeline. What an inquest actually is and why it matters. What the 2,500 pages of evidence contained including sworn statements from first responders, expert testimony from physicists and chemists, and video evidence never placed before the original coroner. Why the High Court lost in June 2024 but wrote a ruling so favorable it opened the door directly to the Supreme Court. How a leapfrog certificate fast tracked the case past the Court of Appeal entirely. And why the UK Supreme Court agreed to hear it with a hearing now scheduled for October 14th and 15th 2025 — described by Matt's senior barrister as the largest constitutional case on the UK Supreme Court docket this year.
The constitutional question at the center — whether the Attorney General is above judicial review — is the same legal shield used to block the David Kelly inquest in 2003. It is a mechanism any government can use against any family. That is why the Supreme Court agreed to hear it. And that is why this conversation matters regardless of what you believe happened on September 11th 2001.
No Left. No Right. Forward. New episodes Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

• The exact moment his headaches stopped (the day he got his FBI acceptance letter) • Why he never fired a gun before joining the FBI • The $22 million fraud case he cracked • How showing empathy gets confessions (not aggression) • The Garmin watch that recorded his heart rate spiking to 180 BPM during a deadly confrontation • Why criminals WANT to tell the truth (even when it hurts them) • The most disgusting story that "always wins" when agents share war stories
This is NOT your typical podcast. This is raw, unfiltered FBI reality from someone who lived it for over two decades.

$8 Gas Coming? Iran Crisis, Strait of Hormuz Oil Shock, and the Real Middle Ground | Middle Monday
09 mars 2026
00:21:42
Is $8 gas actually coming?
Oil markets are surging as tensions escalate around Iran and the Strait of Hormuz — the narrow waterway controlling nearly 20% of the world’s oil supply. With Brent crude climbing and shipping disruptions increasing, the risk of an oil shock is suddenly back in the global conversation.
In this Middle Monday episode of The MiddleGround Mic, Joseph Steagall breaks down the rising oil crisis, how Iran’s leadership turmoil could impact global energy markets, and why the Strait of Hormuz remains one of the most dangerous economic chokepoints on the planet.
But this conversation goes deeper than energy prices.
Why are extremists on both sides attacking anyone who refuses to blindly pick a team? Why does the middle ground trigger so much backlash in modern political debate? And why is Senator John Fetterman suddenly becoming a key figure in the conversation about how America should approach the Iran crisis?
This episode explores the oil shock scenarios, the geopolitical risks surrounding Iran, and the reality that the loudest political voices often mirror each other more than they admit.
Topics covered: Iran crisis and oil market instability Strait of Hormuz and global oil supply risks Oil shock scenarios and gas price predictions The middle ground perspective in politics John Fetterman and the Iran debate Confronting political extremism Building real long-term energy solutions

But what if that’s only the beginning?
Joe sits down with author and PR professional John David to unpack The Bystander — a thriller inspired by real events that asks uncomfortable questions about gun rights, media narratives, and what’s “normal” in modern America.
This isn’t a lecture. It’s not left. It’s not right. It’s the tension in the middle.

Is American Democracy Broken? Midterm Warnings and Fixes
18 févr. 2026

Why does democracy feel rigged — even before you vote?
Joe sits down with Travis Misurell, founder of Think Futures Now (https://futureis.org/), to explain why voters feel locked out of the political process and how leaders are really chosen behind the scenes.
This isn’t left vs right. It’s a systems-level conversation about money, candidate selection, fear-based voting, and whether fixing how leaders are chosen matters more than who wins the next election.
If you’ve ever felt like you’re voting against someone instead of for something, this episode explains why.

Iran Is Executing Thousands — That’s Not Strength, That’s Panic
25 janv. 2026
00:46:58
Iran has executed over 2,200 people in 2025 alone. Is this a sign of power — or a regime on the brink of collapse?
In this episode of The Middle Ground Mic, Joe is joined by Zolal Habibi, a human rights and women’s rights advocate and member of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI).
They discuss Iran’s escalating executions, mass arrests, nationwide protests, internet shutdowns, and why women and young people are increasingly leading the resistance. Zolal explains why both foreign intervention and diplomatic appeasement have failed — and what a real, Iranian-led alternative could look like.
This episode explores: • Why executions spike when regimes lose control • The role of women in Iran’s resistance movement • The legacy of the 1988 massacre • Why Iranians reject war and dictatorship alike • What accountability without invasion looks like
A grounded, honest conversation about Iran’s future — and why it matters to the world.

She Served America Without a Uniform | Truth, Iran, Journalism & Freedom | Mahtab Farid
22 janv. 2026
01:25:19
Freedom doesn’t disappear overnight — it erodes quietly through fear, censorship, and silence. In this episode of The Middle Ground Mic, journalist and U.S. diplomat Mahtab Farid shares how she grew up under Iran’s revolution and chose to serve America without ever wearing a uniform.
Born in Tehran during the Islamic Revolution and the Iran-Iraq War, Mahtab Farid experienced censorship and repression firsthand. Those early experiences shaped her understanding of truth, freedom, and the responsibility that comes with liberty.
After becoming a U.S. citizen just months before 9/11, Mahtab made a defining choice: to serve the country that gave her freedom. As a U.S. Public Diplomacy Officer, she deployed to Afghanistan alongside American service members — not as a soldier, but as a truth-teller — helping build local media, counter propaganda, and earn trust in some of the world’s most dangerous places.
In this conversation, we discuss:
Growing up under Iran’s revolution and what censorship really looks like
Why journalism threatens authoritarian regimes
Serving America without a uniform after 9/11
Media trust, propaganda, and narrative warfare
Redefining patriotism beyond politics

Iran on the Brink: Protests, Power, and the Truth the Media Misses
18 janv. 2026
00:54:46
Iran is facing its most serious internal crisis in decades — and the story most people are hearing doesn’t explain what’s really happening.
In this episode of The Middle Ground Mic, Joseph is joined by Ron Bee — The Middle Ground Expert on Foreign Policy — for a grounded, non-partisan breakdown of Iran’s current chaos.
We examine: • Why mass protests and executions signal regime fear, not strength • How Iran wages war through proxies instead of direct conflict • The real purpose of Iran’s nuclear program: leverage over fear • The difference between the Iranian people and the Iranian regime • Where Reza Pahlavi fits into Iran’s future — and why Ali Khamenei’s grip may be weakening
This isn’t a pro-war conversation. It isn’t appeasement either.
It’s a reality check for anyone tired of false choices and shallow outrage.
