14 - The Hidden Cost of Indecision: How to Reclaim Your Time15 Oct 202400:21:32

But the key is knowing which decisions to make quickly, and which decisions to take your time with. In this episode, you'll learn it all, including my five favorite hacks for getting over the indecision hump.     Key Takeaways:

3 - Life Admin Made Easy: Creating a Monthly Wrap-up Process30 Jul 202400:20:52
You know those life admin tasks that are a step beyond basics like grocery shopping, paying bills, and taking out the trash? The things that you'd like to be doing more regularly, but when life gets busy they fall to the backburner. Things like checking in on your finances or reviewing your budget, sorting kid artwork, cleaning out your inbox, managing photos on your phone, or adding notes to a keepsake journal or memory book for your kids. All things that aren't necessary for daily life to run, but things that make you feel like you really have it together. I like to call these tasks "next-level adulting".   In this episode, I walk you through a monthly wrap-up process that I've been using for the last 5 months as a way to make sure I'm not forgetting about these "next-level" tasks. This wrap-up has also become a fun ritual that helps me review all the progress I've made and also appreciate life and the passage of time. All those reminders, dates, errands, messages you need to send, and things you need to order run like a ticker in the background of your mind. Well, before you can even think about how and when you're going to get all those things done, you need to ease the overwhelm and create some mental space. It's a to-do list.   In this episode, I explain why the first exercise I do with all my coaching clients is an audit of their to-do list. When you're feeling overwhelmed by your mental load, the best thing you can do is get everything out of your head and onto a list so you can make sense of it and make a plan. I walk you through how to get started today, even if it's just by grabbing a piece of paper. I also share some of my favorite to-do list tools and how to choose the one that's right for you. 18 - The Truth About Morning Routines for Working Moms12 Nov 202400:21:01

So many books and articles have been written about what successful people do to start their day. If we're not waking up early to workout, meditate, and get a jump start on our day, what are even doing? But as busy, working parents, with interrupted sleep and irregular wake-up times, it can be so hard to be consistent with morning routines, let alone to find time to drink a cup of coffee in peace. An approach that takes into consideration the responsibilities and lack of sleep that parents, especially parents of young kids, are facing. You don't have to give up the idea entirely, but you I would encourage you to embrace some flexibility and reduce the pressure to do it all. You can still have a successful morning, it just might look a little different than the ones we read about.

In this podcast episode, Katelyn shares the four most common mistakes that she sees working moms make this time of year. With so much on the calendar in November and December from holidays, events, celebrations, and school breaks, if you're not careful, you can easily overcommit yourself and feel completely burned out come January 1st. But with a little awareness and intention, you can create a plan that supports you through the season and helps you create the end-of-year experience that you want.     In my annual holiday planning workshop, Stress Less This Holiday, I'll guide you through the planning process that considers your schedule, your energy, your family, your work, and the memories that you want to create. You'll walk away with a clear head, a well thought out plan, and know exactly what needs to get done so that you can stop stressing and be present for it all. 35 - How to Make the Most of Your Weekends: Balancing Fun & Productivity18 Mar 202500:23:10

How do you make the most of your weekends as a busy, working mom? So many women struggle to find the balance in their weekends. You're either overpacking your schedule with chores, commitments, and tasks, or seeking to fully relax but then feeling guilty about what’s left undone. The key is to set your intentions in advance so that you feel good come Sunday night about how you spent your precious time as you head into another work week.

In this episode, I share strategies on how to plan your weekends in a flexible way that leaves you feeling fulfilled, whether you’re tackling projects, enjoying downtime, or spending quality time with family. You'll learn how to balance fun, rest, and productivity by checking in with yourself and your family ahead of time so you can set realistic expectations. Plus, I'll introduce you to my simple, yet flexible, "block planning" framework to help you organize your weekend time with room for structure and spontaneity. Tune in to learn how to make your weekends work for you.

===============================

🔑 What You’ll Learn in This Episode:

===============================

  • Why being intentional about your weekend makes all the difference: Being intentional about how you spend your weekend can lead to a more fulfilling experience, whether you prioritize rest, productivity, or family time. It's about consciously deciding in advance what you want.

  • The two extremes that you want to avoid when it comes to weekends: Many working moms either overpack their weekends with tasks and commitments or aim to relax but end up feeling dissatisfied for not getting enough done. Striking a balance between relaxation and productivity is key to avoiding this cycle.

  • How to plan a weekend where everyone has a say: Check in with yourself and your family about what everyone wants to accomplish or experience over the weekend. Discussing your "weekend vibe" together helps set realistic expectations and prevent frustration and resentment.

  • The Power of Block Planning: Use a simple block planning method to organize your weekend allows for flexibility while ensuring you have space for both planned activities and unexpected moments.

  • The first thing you should prioritize each weekend: Schedule fun and relaxing activities at the start of the weekend, rather than holding them until after tasks are done.

  • Weekend planning doesn't have to mean overly structured: Weekends don’t have to be strictly planned down to the minute. Allow for flexibility in your schedule to accommodate the ebb and flow of life, especially with kids involved.
