It can be difficult to balance healthy eating and exercise. Most people think they probably eat too much for the amount exercise or calories they burn. However, it can also be very easy to go the other way, and not have enough energy to fuel our exercise and lifestyle. This particularly more common if we exercise a lot and have busy lifestyles with poor accessibility to the right foods. Certain eating habits and behaviours can also leave us undernourished and vulnerable to injury and illness. We talk to Jenaed, a sports performance dietician, about how to get the appropriate level of energy on board for our exercise, and what happens when we have too little energy.
