K League 1 returned as did the fans in their droves as record attendances across the country for Korea's top-flight soared. Matthew Binns and Paul Neat look back at all six matches in an entertaining opening weekend and have a number of interviews as well from the mixed zones of Ulsan, Seoul and Daejeon.   K League 1 kicked-off on Saturday 25th Februrary down at Ulsan Munsu Stadium where the Champions Ulsan Hyundai took on FA Cup Winners Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors, before later in the afternoon saw FC Seoul face Incheon United in the Gyeongin Derby (or is it a derby? Listen to find out why) and Suwon Samsung Bluewings against Gwangju FC.   [LISTENMedia Day Interviews featuring Stanislav Iljutcenko and Oh Ban-suk]   Then, we move swiftly to Sunday where Pohang Steelers hosted Daegu in an entertaining affair, while Daejeon Hana Citizen made their return to K League 1 known as they faced Gangwon FC. Jeju United also played Suwon FC.   On top of recaps of all six matches, we have six mixed zone interviews as well including, Ulsan Hyundai's Gustav Ludwigson, FC Seoul's Ki Sung-yueng, Incheon United's Gerso Fernandes and the Daejeon trio of Anton, Leandro and Thiago to round things off.   All this and more, on The K League United Podcast!

With K League returning, so too has the annual Media Day for both divisions. Held in the K Hotel in Seoul, all 25 managers and captains attended to answer questions from the country's press ahead of the season kick-off. K League United was also in attendance to speak with a number of players and managers.   Monday, 20th February saw the return of K League Media Day with over 300 in attendance to listen to each team's manager and captain ahead of last weekend's top-flight return. K League United's Matthew Binns attended the event speaking with FC Seoul's captain Stanislav Iljutcenko before then hearing from Incheon United's Oh Ban-suk, ahead of the pair's Gyeongin Derby matchup in Round 1.   On Tuesday, K League 2 got the party started with their own media day and K League United was there once more, speaking with Gimcheon caretaker boss Sung Han-soo, Busan IPark Captain Lee Han-do and finally Gyeongnam FC boss Seol Ki-hyun.

K League returns this weekend with the top-tier kicking-off this Saturday and Sunday before the second division starts their season on the following Wednesday. The K League United Podcast turns its attention to the opening round and gives their thoughts on what to expect from each match.
  After a long pre-season, K League 1 finally makes its return on Saturday February 25th, kicking things off with the traditional curtain raiser of the reigning champions against the FA Cup Winners, or in this case, Ulsan Hyundai and Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors respectively. It's January and that means it's transfer season in K League as we see a number of moves between clubs within the country and a few inbounds from outside as well. The first of our pre-season episodes takes a look at the notable transfers made thus far and how they are set to improve the sides who signed them.
  Having eaten ourselves silly over Christmas, The K League United Podcast returns to the training ground packing a little holiday weight that it looks set to burn off in what have become our annual pre-season series.   Matthew Binns returns and looks set to put seasoned regular Michael Redmond and new signing Zeno Jo through the drills as we get ready for the campaign ahead.
