 I'M 65. I'M SKINT. I'M STONEY BLOODY BROKE. AND IN TEN DAYS I'M GETTING THE HELL OUT OF BRITAIN! I've finally done it! I've booked a ONE-WAY ticket to Bangkok, Thailand, via China. And because I'm skint, I've chosen the cheapest flight I could find. It's going to take me 35 BLOODY HOURS to get there! I'm calling it the SLOW PLANE TO CHINA!

But here's the incredible part. ONE OF MY VIEWERS HAS GENEROUSLY PAID FOR MY FLIGHT! How bloody brilliant is that?! I'm genuinely touched by that generosity. Someone who watches my videos has helped turn this mad dream into reality. And I can't thank them enough. And do you know something? I'm looking forward to this trip more than many of the expensive luxury holidays I've enjoyed in the past. Because this isn't a holiday. IT'S AN ESCAPE. AN ADVENTURE. AND MAYBE A JOURNEY OF SELF-DISCOVERY! And after that Budget, I'm more convinced than ever that I'm making the right decision.

 What was in it for ordinary people like you and me? BUGGER ALL! A great big NOTHING SANDWICH!

In my opinion, Britain is heading for disaster, and I want to be out of here before the whole bloody country hits the buffers! I'm 65. My kids are grown up. I've worked all my life, enjoyed the good times and experienced the bad. I've had the fancy holidays and nice hotels. I've also been at rock bottom. Now I want one more great adventure.

 I've got an iPhone, a microphone, my Mac and a YouTube channel. HAVE YOUTUBE, CAN TRAVEL!

Thailand is my first stop. Within a couple of weeks I'll be visiting the Bridge over the River Kwai to reflect on the terrible suffering and sacrifice of the Allied prisoners of war forced to build the infamous Death Railway. Men who suffered and died in appalling conditions. A visit that will mean a great deal to me. And then? Cambodia? Vietnam? Laos? India? Australia? I HAVEN'T GOT A BLOODY CLUE!

I've got a mate offering me somewhere to stay in Thailand. There's the possibility of a sofa in Australia. And I absolutely adore India. But I've only bought a ONE-WAY ticket. NO RETURN DATE. NO FIXED ITINERARY. NO CONFIRMED FINAL DESTINATION.

Am I just a moaning old gammon stuck in my ways? Is Britain really as bad as I think? Or do I need to change my outlook on life? Can a skint 65-year-old travel around the world with just a phone, a microphone and a YouTube channel? I'm going to find out! I'll vlog the lot. The cheap rooms, the buses, the trains, the fascinating people, the disasters, the laughter and hopefully some unforgettable experiences.

 Are we citizens with a say—or just an audience being fed spin, smoke and mirrors? British politics has become a crude television production that makes The Truman Show look like amateur dramatics.

 Every poll gets twisted into a triumph by somebody's tame expert. Every failure gets a new slogan. Policies and U-turns are fed to the press while Parliament—and the people it represents—seem to come last. And our Prime Minister? Another TikTok. Another carefully packaged glimpse of "Andy the ordinary bloke". This weekend it was the Downing Street sofa for Celebrity Gogglebox's cancer charity special. A worthwhile cause—but I'm judging his premiership on answers and leadership, not his choice of snacks.

We were told Starmer couldn't communicate. Now Burnham's cheerleaders would have us believe he's a cross between Billy Graham and Brian Clough. I don't see it. Put him under sustained questioning and the grand communicator suddenly looks a lot less convincing. Where's the substance beneath the sales pitch? And where is his own general election mandate for this change of direction?

 Winning Makerfield wasn't a blank cheque to take the whole country wherever he fancies. Remember Brexit? In Makerfield, he said he wouldn't rerun those arguments. Now he's reopening the very debate he told voters he wanted to move beyond. I call that a screeching U-turn.

How are voters supposed to trust a promise if its meaning changes once the votes are counted? Meanwhile, the Tories and Reform are tearing into each other. More point-scoring. More squabbling. More politicians fighting over their own futures while we worry about ours.

I've watched British politics for decades, and I struggle to remember feeling this contemptuous of the whole performance. A circus with unfunny clowns. And we're paying for the bloody tickets. I've had enough of the lot of them. Have you?

British Jews fear displaying their identity in the country those heroes helped defend? And then there's the video of a man spitting on the statue of murdered MP Sir David Amess, shared by a pro-Palestine activist. What sort of disgusting contempt is that? A memorial to a man murdered while serving his constituents — treated like a spittoon.

Where is the respect? Where is the basic bloody decency?

 Girls abused by grooming gangs have spent years fighting to be heard. Now the public inquiry must expose who failed them, who dismissed them and who looked away. We need names, answers and consequences. How many more times must victims demand that the institutions paid to protect them actually do their jobs?

 I will wear my poppy with pride. But remembrance must mean more than politicians bowing their heads once a year before returning to the same failures. They owed those heroes a better country. They owe their children and grandchildren one too. So yes, I'm asking: WAS THEIR SACRIFICE WORTH IT?

And if that question offends our political class, perhaps they should take a bloody good look at the country they're presiding over.

 I'm sick to bloody death of being watched, tracked, analysed and sold to. Government, local councils, social media companies — why does everyone need to know so much about me?

I look for travel insurance and suddenly my Facebook and X feeds are stuffed with offers from companies I haven't even approached. I wanted an insurance quote, not a bloody relationship!

Then there's Amazon and Netflix, forever suggesting what I might like. Watch this. Buy that. Try this next. LEAVE ME ALONE! I want to discover things for myself. Browse, explore, make my own choices. I don't need an algorithm organising my life around what it thinks will keep me watching or spending.

Out in the street, there's another camera. Online, another cookie request. Another account to create, another app to download, another demand for personal information. Why do you need it? Who are you sharing it with? And when do I get a say? Everyone is holding too much information on us. Our movements, our purchases, our interests, our habits. We're expected to hand it over, trust whoever collects it and accept another intrusion as the price of everyday life.

Where does this end? How much of ourselves are we supposed to surrender? This is part of why I'm leaving the country. I'm heading to Southeast Asia — places we're encouraged to regard as "less developed". Well, I hope I might find a bit more freedom to wander, explore and get on with my life. I'll find out when I get there. But what does it say about life here that the prospect of being left alone has become something I'm travelling halfway around the world to look for?

 I'm 65. I want an adventure. I want to look around me and decide for myself what interests me. I don't want the rest of my life fed back to me as a list of recommendations.

WHY ARE WE BEING KEPT IN THE DARK? IS SOMETHING BIG ABOUT TO HAPPEN?

 Why aren't they stopping the boats? Why are prisoners being released early because we haven't got enough prison places? Why are we being urged to keep emergency food and water supplies while national service and conscription keep making headlines?

And why is Andy Burnham talking about car park fines when we need serious answers about the security of our country? Stop trying to be a cross between Esther Rantzen and Martin Lewis. We need a bloody leader, not another consumer champion.

Put down the phone, forget the next TikTok video and get a grip. Trump says France should close its borders. Is he right—and should Britain and the rest of Europe follow suit?

And stop telling us we must all "share the burden" of accommodating illegal migrants. Who asked us? Moving people around the country spreads the consequences of a failed border policy. It doesn't fix it. I don't want illegal migration into Britain. Those who arrive without permission should be in secure accommodation while their identities and claims are checked, with removal when they have no right to remain. Wanting controlled borders and proper checks does not make you racist. Defend the policy instead of smearing the people expected to live with it.

The Americans withdrew their bombers from Fairford following security threats. What was the danger, what has changed, and how are people here being protected? Emergency supplies advice and debates about military service deserve clear explanations. Ministers say there are no plans for conscription—so tell us exactly what preparations ARE being made. With unrest in France, what is being done to prevent violence here?

Are residents being heard, or will ministers wait until trouble erupts before taking their concerns seriously? We deserve secure borders, proper sentences and straight answers. Join Jon Gaunt for a direct debate: WHAT AREN'T THEY TELLING US?

 Europe is a tinderbox! France has witnessed violent unrest, Milan has seen clashes on the streets, and the anger directed at the political establishment is impossible to ignore.

BUT HOW LONG BEFORE BRITAIN EXPLODES TOO? We're being taxed to the hilt, hammered by the cost of living, let down by public services and forced to watch successive governments fail to get a grip on illegal immigration.

Thousands of people have crossed the Channel illegally, and instead of being held in secure facilities while their identities and asylum claims are properly assessed, many are housed in hotels and other accommodation at enormous public expense.

Meanwhile, local residents are asking perfectly reasonable questions about security, public safety and the impact on their communities. AND WHO THE HELL IS LISTENING TO THEM? Look at Piddington. Residents have protested against plans for migrant accommodation, yet many feel their concerns are being brushed aside.

Across Britain, there's a growing and deeply dangerous perception that British citizens are coming second in their own country. Whether it's access to housing, pressure on services, public safety or simply the right to have a say about what happens in their neighbourhood, people feel ignored.

And what does the political establishment do? Lecture them! Dismiss their concerns! Tell them everything is under control! WELL, IT BLOODY WELL ISN'T! My argument is simple. People arriving without verified identities should be held in secure, properly regulated facilities while their cases are determined. Those with valid asylum claims should be treated according to the law, and those with no right to remain should be removed.

Instead, we have a system that seems designed to accommodate everyone except the people who are paying for it! I'm not defending violence, rioting or looting. But ignoring public anger, refusing to confront difficult questions and treating legitimate concerns as an inconvenience is a recipe for disaster.

THIS IS A DANGEROUS COCKTAIL AND OUR POLITICIANS ARE PLAYING WITH FIRE! Are France and Italy a warning of what's coming to Britain? Is the country becoming a pressure cooker? And how much longer can the establishment ignore the people it's supposed to represent?

 I'm leaving Britain. I've had a bellyful of what this country is becoming. But this morning I was reminded that the England I love is still alive and kicking. And I'm bloody furious that we've lost so much of it elsewhere! I'm dog sitting for my daughter in a beautiful little English village.

 Took the dog for a walk and everybody said hello. Well, actually, they said hello to the dog. A bloke was repairing an old Cotswold stone wall. The local market was packing up. The pub was opening. People were chatting, smiling and getting on with their lives.

Then we got to the funeral directors. The bloody dog sat down outside and refused to move! Why? Because he knew the lady inside would come out, give him a stroke and offer him a biscuit! Even the funeral director knows the dog!

THIS IS ENGLAND. NOT SOME NOSTALGIC FANTASY. NOT A PICTURE POSTCARD FROM THE PAST. REAL ENGLAND, HERE AND NOW!

And that's what made me angry. Because this sense of community, belonging and shared identity still exists. But we've lost so much of it in our bigger towns and cities. Why? And who's responsible?

Then I remembered Labour minister Jenny Riddell-Carpenter linking warm ale, black Labradors and country pubs to what she called a "very far-right nostalgic vision of Britain". What a load of absolute cobblers! Of course, after the backlash, she was suddenly explaining how much she loved pubs and Labradors herself. Well, Jenny, I've got news for you. 

THIS ENGLAND DOES EXIST! I'VE JUST WALKED THROUGH IT!

And there's nothing racist or far right about loving it, defending it or wanting to bring it back to the parts of Britain where we've lost that sense of community.

 The Chinese takeaway owner knows the dog. The Turkish barber waved hello. The African bloke running the coffee shop plays the coolest music this side of Oxford.

That's not some government diversity initiative. That's people living together in a community that has a character, a history and a shared sense of belonging.

 SURELY ENGLISH CULTURE IS PART OF DIVERSITY TOO?! Why should we be embarrassed about our own traditions? Why should we accept the decline of our high streets, the disappearance of our pubs and the breakdown of communities as inevitable? And why do politicians seem more interested in lecturing us about our attitudes than asking why so many people feel they've lost the country they grew up in?

I'm 65. My kids are grown up and I'm off to see the world. I've had enough of the taxes, the lies, the political incompetence and the way Britain is being run. But today I realised something. I'M NOT LEAVING BRITAIN BECAUSE I HATE IT. I'M LEAVING BECAUSE I HATE WHAT'S HAPPENING TO IT!

 And the tragedy is that the Britain I love hasn't vanished. It's still here. I've seen it with my own eyes this morning. SO WHY THE HELL CAN'T WE HAVE MORE OF IT? Maybe the answer to all this division isn't another government initiative or another bloody lecture about diversity. Maybe we should start rebuilding communities where people actually know and speak to each other.

OR MAYBE THE DOG HELPS! And here's the final irony. The dog that's bringing this quintessentially English village together? IT'S A BLOODY AFGHAN HOUND!

 Andy Burnham tells President Zelensky that Britain is 100% behind Ukraine. BUT ARE WE, AND WHO GAVE HIM THE RIGHT TO SPEAK FOR EVERY BRITISH TAXPAYER?

Of course Russia invaded Ukraine. But does that mean we must support every decision Zelensky makes, supply weapons indefinitely and keep writing cheques without a serious debate about the endgame? And while Burnham promises unwavering support, Donald Trump is pursuing his own arrangements with Putin, including a controversial Russian diesel deal. Is Trump opening a door to peace or giving Moscow an economic lifeline? And where does that leave Britain?

 But Ukraine is only HALF the story tonight. DOES ANDY BURNHAM ENGAGE HIS BRAIN BEFORE OPENING HIS MOUTH?

 First came his controversial comments about Russia and Brexit, with the head of MI5 having to distinguish between attempted interference and evidence that the referendum result was changed.

Then there's MANCHESTER CITY! With the club embroiled in a major financial rules controversy, Burnham has been praising the investment of its Abu Dhabi owners and saying how concerned he'd be if they walked away. Is that appropriate intervention from a Prime Minister?

And now his comments in Parliament about the man accused in the Ann Widdecombe murder case have raised another question: did he respect the presumption of innocence and the Speaker's warning about discussing an active criminal trial? Parliamentary privilege may protect what MPs say in the Commons, but does it excuse poor political judgment?

 Is Andy Burnham preparing to spring a surprise General Election on Britain before Christmas? Today's reports suggest his government wants to rush through major changes to Britain's voting system, including votes at 16 and allowing people to vote using bank cards instead of photographic identification.

There are also reports of attempts to shorten parliamentary scrutiny.

I want a General Election. I've been demanding one. But I also want to know exactly what rules will govern it, why they are being changed and why the apparent rush. Burnham became Prime Minister without winning a General Election as Labour leader. Now the question is whether he intends to seek a personal mandate before Christmas — and whether these electoral reforms could be in place first.

 And what about Manchester City? The club has been found guilty of serious financial rule breaches and is appealing. Burnham's comments about the club's Abu Dhabi owners have already raised concerns among other Premier League clubs about possible political interference.

 Tonight I'm asking whether this is a government trying to strengthen democracy or whether its critics are right to fear that the electoral rules are being changed for political advantage. Is there a Christmas election coming? Are the proposed voting changes fair? And how much scrutiny should Burnham face over his Manchester City connections?

 Has Britain simply GIVEN UP? WHERE THE HELL IS ANDY BURNHAM?

 Borders in chaos. Criminals being released early. Serious questions about policing and national security. Yet where is the Prime Minister actually LEADING FROM THE FRONT? WHERE'S WALLY IS MORE BLOODY VISIBLE!

 A written statement from Downing Street isn't leadership. I want to see the Prime Minister standing in front of the British people answering questions and telling us exactly what he is going to DO. Because look at the state we're in.

Thousands continue to cross the Channel in small boats. The Home Secretary herself has talked about the horrific sexual violence suffered by women making these journeys. Yet undocumented men are still arriving by dinghy and being allowed into Britain while their identities and asylum claims are processed. HOW CAN ANY GOVERNMENT CALL THAT CONTROL OF OUR BORDERS?

Then there are the prisons. CRIMINALS ARE BEING RELEASED EARLY BECAUSE WE HAVEN'T GOT ENOUGH PRISON SPACE! Think about how insane that sounds.

A criminal commits an offence. The police catch them. The courts convict them. A judge sentences them. AND THEN ELIGIBLE OFFENDERS ARE RELEASED EARLY BECAUSE THE PRISONS ARE FULL! What about the victims? What about punishment? What about protecting the law-abiding public? At what point did the security of ordinary British people become an afterthought?

So perhaps we should just admit defeat: SCRAP THE BORDERS! DEFUND THE POLICE! RELEASE ALL PRISONERS! WE GIVE UP! Of course I'm being sarcastic. I WANT THE EXACT BLOODY OPPOSITE.

Control the borders. Identify who is entering our country. Deport people with no right to remain. Give the police the resources and backing to enforce the law. Build enough prison places and make sentences MEAN something.

And above all: WHERE'S BURNHAM? Britain needs a Prime Minister leading from the front — not playing a bloody game of Where's Wally? Have our politicians simply surrendered? YOU TELL ME.

 Has Britain simply surrendered? Because today it bloody well feels like it.

 Trump has pulled the bombers out of Fairford following the suspected terror plot. At Gosport, illegal migrants were brought ashore while angry protesters gathered and police mounted a huge operation.

 And here's the image that sums up Britain for me: local residents reportedly having to show ID to get back to their own homes while undocumented migrants were being escorted through by police. Read that again. BRITS SHOWING ID. UNDOCUMENTED MIGRANTS BEING ESCORTED IN.

 What kind of upside-down country have we become?

 Meanwhile, the Home Secretary herself is talking about the horrific rape, abuse and violence suffered by most women on the migrant routes into the UK. But she still lets the men in?! And the boats keep coming.

Then today Dawood Safi — who entered Britain illegally and went on to kill innocent dog walker Wayne Broadhurst — received an indefinite hospital order.

 So I want a straight answer: HOW MANY MORE DANGEROUS PEOPLE HAVE ENTERED THIS COUNTRY THROUGH DOVER? How many identities don't we know? How many backgrounds haven't been established? And how the hell can any government guarantee our security when people arrive without the documentation needed to establish who they are?

 I've already told you I'm seriously planning to LEAVE BRITAIN. I'm 65. My kids are grown up. I've had enough of being overtaxed, ignored and treated like I'm the problem for asking basic questions about borders and security. But today there's a new question. Am I leaving Britain — or has the British Establishment already left people like me behind? Because from where I'm sitting, the white flag is already fluttering.

 Our borders? Lost control. Our security? Questions everywhere. Public confidence? Through the floor. And ordinary people who object? Too often they're treated as though THEY'RE the problem.

 Well, I'm not shutting up. LET'S JUST RAISE THE WHITE FLAG! WE HAVE GIVEN OUR COUNTRY AWAY. Or have we? Tell me I'm wrong.

Enough excuses. Enough hiding behind armies of lawyers. If the rules of English football mean anything, Manchester City must face a punishment that actually HURTS.

An independent commission has found City guilty of serious financial-rule breaches spanning NINE SEASONS — including sham arrangements, misstated accounts, concealed finances and deliberately circumventing Premier League rules. City deny wrongdoing and have appealed. Fine. Let that process run.

But if these findings survive the appeal, what punishment could possibly fit them? A fine? DON'T MAKE ME LAUGH. A few points? Is that really enough? I say RELEGATION has to be on the table.

But this is about something much bigger than Manchester City. HAS FOREIGN MONEY MADE THE BEAUTIFUL GAME UGLY?

English football has become a global playground for billionaires, sovereign wealth and foreign states. The money has transformed the Premier League — but at what cost?

And then there's Andy Burnham. Why was our Prime Minister so quick to talk about being "really concerned" about City's Abu Dhabi owners potentially leaving? Why are there now demands for him to reveal his meetings with City's owners and details of any hospitality he's received? I'm not accusing Burnham of breaking any rules. I'm saying: PUBLISH EVERYTHING. Let's see the meetings. Let's see the hospitality. Let's have complete transparency.

Because football, foreign money and political power should NEVER be allowed to become one cosy little club. Everton and Nottingham Forest supporters know what punishment for financial breaches feels like. So why should Manchester City be treated differently?

 I'VE HAD ENOUGH. I WANT OUT. Watching hundreds of prisoners walk out of jail early today is the final straw for me. Around 700 are reportedly being released in the first tranche of the new arrangements.

What the hell has happened to Britain?

 I'm 65. I've worked all my life. I've paid my taxes. I've brought up my kids — and they're grown up now. I can do my job from virtually anywhere in the world. HAVE YOUTUBE, CAN TRAVEL! So give me one good reason to stay.

I'm sick of politicians promising one thing and delivering another. I'm sick of feeling that ordinary, law-abiding people come last. I'm sick of demanding straight answers about major stories and feeling we never get the full picture. I am sick to the back teeth of illegal immigration and feeling like a stranger in my own land.

I look around this country now and see somewhere overcrowded, overtaxed and outrageously expensive — and a political class that seems completely detached from the people paying the bills.

Today's prisoner releases have tipped me over the edge. Britain has been handed over to the feral, the feckless and the freeloaders — while the rest of us are expected to shut up, pay up and put up with it. Well, I've had enough.

 Britain was once Shakespeare's "sceptred isle." Now? IT FEELS LIKE A SEPTIC ISLAND — AND I WANT OUT. So tonight I'm asking you: am I overreacting, or have you had enough too? And if I really am getting out — where the hell should I go?

Danny Dyer has just said what millions of ordinary Brits are thinking—and he certainly didn't mince his words! Asked what message he had for Prime Minister Andy Burnham, Danny replied: "I don't know who the prime minister is, mate. Do you? Yeah, but who is he? I don't understand. Did anyone vote for him? Because I didn't vote for him. So I think we've had successive prime ministers that are c***s. End of. Put that on the f***ing BBC."

Brutal. Direct. Unfiltered.

And isn't that exactly what Britain is crying out for? You may not like Danny's language—but at least you know exactly what he thinks. No script. No spin. No carefully rehearsed answer designed to avoid saying anything meaningful. Danny was attending a protest demanding that Britain's water industry be brought back into public ownership. He accused the elite of taking the p**s while our bills rise and sewage continues to be pumped into our seas.

He sounds more in tune with the average Brit than the Westminster robots who claim to represent us. He speaks plainly, means what he says and doesn't need an army of advisers to tell him what ordinary people are thinking. Now Andy Burnham is heading to New York to meet Donald Trump face-to-face and supposedly fight for Britain's interests.

But who would you rather have standing up for us? A polished professional politician who has never received a personal mandate from the British people—or Danny Dyer telling Trump precisely what Britain wants and where we stand? Of course, I'm having a laugh when I say Danny should be Prime Minister—but only just! Because Britain desperately needs leaders with backbone. Leaders prepared to speak plainly, make tough decisions and stop treating the British public like idiots.

We've had enough slogans. We've had enough excuses. We've had enough Westminster waffle. WE NEED DIRECT TALK AND TOUGH ACTION!

Piddington has roared—but is Andy Burnham listening? By 285 votes to just 26, residents delivered a devastating rejection of plans to dump a massive asylum centre on their doorstep. Yet Burnham's answer is that communities across Britain must "share" the problem. No, Andy. We don't want the problem shared. We want it stopped! Moving undocumented men from hotels into towns, villages and military camps across Britain does not solve the crisis. It merely spreads the risk, spreads the fear and spreads the anger.

It is not racist to demand secure borders.

It is not unreasonable to demand identification.

And it is not "far right" to say that entering Britain illegally without documents or a verified identity must have serious consequences.

Simply uttering the words "I am seeking asylum" cannot be treated as a magic password granting entry into Britain, years of taxpayer-funded accommodation and endless appeals. The solution is simple: DETER. DETAIN. DECIDE. DEPORT.

Anyone arriving illegally without a verified identity should be placed in a secure, locked and properly controlled centre while we establish who they are and decide their claim. If the claim is accepted, they enter through the proper legal process. If it fails, they are deported—immediately. No hotel. No disappearing act. No endless legal merry-go-round. Britain's first duty is not to illegal arrivals, activist lawyers or Burnham's hand-wringing liberal friends. The first duty of any government is the safety and security of the British people.

Piddington's vote may be symbolic, but the fury behind it is real. People are sick of being ignored, insulted and ordered to accept decisions imposed upon their communities without meaningful consent.

Burnham needs to wake up. If politicians continue dismissing legitimate fears and forcing this failed policy upon unwilling communities, they will drive tensions through the roof. Forget holding one local referendum in Piddington—the entire British nation deserves a vote! For decades, Westminster politicians have imposed mass immigration upon Britain without ever giving the British people a direct national vote. We were never properly consulted, yet our communities are expected to live with the consequences.

The violence exposed in Patrick Christys' disturbing GB News report from France should serve as a massive warning. Why are we allowing thousands of people to cross the Channel before their identities, histories and right to enter Britain have been properly established?

Now an anonymous Home Office whistleblower has told The Times that, in his experience, only one in every 100 asylum claims is genuinely true. That is an explosive allegation from somebody who worked inside the system. If the Government disputes it, ministers should publish the evidence and prove him wrong!

Britain is already facing rising community tensions and serious concerns about rape, sexual attacks and violent crime. Nobody is claiming that every migrant is a criminal—but when crimes are committed by people who should never have been allowed to remain here, the British public has every right to demand answers.

The first duty of government is to protect British citizens. Instead, our politicians appear determined to protect a failed asylum system. Enough tinkering. Enough excuses. Enough moving migrants from one hotel, camp or community to another. Britain needs a national referendum and one clear policy: DETER illegal entry. DETAIN arrivals whose identities and entitlement to enter cannot be verified. DEPORT those with no legal right to remain.

Nigel Farage and Reform UK have received a staggering £72 MILLION from two British British British businessmen—and Angela Rayner and the Labour Westminster establishment are having a complete MELTDOWN! Two enormous £36 million donations mean Reform finally has the financial firepower to take on Labour, the Tories and the entire cosy political establishment. And they absolutely HATE it!

 Reform says the donations were made legally under the rules. But Rayner is now suggesting that proposed legislation could operate retrospectively and potentially force some of that money to be returned. RETROSPECTIVELY! In about it: Reform accepts donations under the rules that exist today—then the Government introduces new rules and reaches backwards to claw the money back. This is straight out of George Orwell's Nineteen Eighty-Four: "Who controls the past controls the future: who controls the present controls the past." Orwell also wrote: "Nothing was illegal, since there were no longer any laws.

 Nobody is claiming that these donors committed a criminal offence. But retrospective punishment—changing the financial consequences after the event—is a dangerous road for any democracy to travel down.

 If Labour can't beat Nigel Farage at the ballot box, is it now trying to cripple Reform financially instead? And spare me the sanctimonious lectures about wealthy donors and political influence. This is the same Labour Party that became embroiled in rows over free clothes, luxury accommodation and Lord Alli. Apparently, rich donors are perfectly acceptable when they're bankrolling Labour—but when British businessmen put their money behind Reform, it suddenly becomes a "threat to democracy"! What a load of hypocritical cobblers!

Nigel Farage has drawn a line in the sand: Reform UK mayors will NOT impose the new tourist tax. So what will Andy Burnham and Labour mayors do?

The Government is giving mayors the power to impose an overnight visitor levy on hotels, B&Bs and holiday accommodation — and there will be NO nationally imposed cap on the percentage they can charge. Supporters say the money can be pumped back into transport, high streets and local communities. But Britain's hospitality industry is already being hammered by VAT, business rates, employment costs, energy bills and customers struggling with the cost of living. So why on earth would you make a British holiday MORE expensive?

And here's the real political dividing line. FARAGE SAYS NO. If Reform mayors refuse to impose the levy, will Labour mayors introduce it? And if they do, what happens when a hotel in one mayoral area effectively becomes more expensive than a hotel down the road in a Reform-controlled area?

UKHospitality is warning that a 5% levy could put tens of thousands of jobs at risk. Instead, the industry wants hospitality VAT slashed to 10%. Now THAT'S the debate Britain should be having.

MORE TAX — OR LOWER TAX? Which one actually creates jobs, fills hotels, saves pubs and gets our high streets moving again?

 Andy Burnham stood at the despatch box at PMQs today and proudly declared that Britain will "always stand with the underdog."

Really, Andy? Then here's my question: WHAT ABOUT US BRITS?!

What about ordinary British people struggling with the cost of living? What about communities demanding action on crime, antisocial behaviour and illegal immigration? What about people who feel increasingly ignored by the political establishment in their own country?

Burnham says Britain must stand against injustice and has defended his Government's action against Israeli settlements in the West Bank as an example of British leadership. But I want to know: WHEN DOES THAT SAME PASSION GET DIRECTED AT THE PROBLEMS HERE AT HOME?

 This isn't a debate about whether Palestinians or Israelis deserve peace, security and justice — of course they do. It's about the priorities of the BRITISH Prime Minister. Burnham says he wants to fight for the underdog. Well Andy, millions of ordinary British people feel like THEY'RE THE UNDERDOGS IN THEIR OWN COUNTRY.

Well, I've got a message for Burnham tonight: WE ARE NOT THUGS. WE ARE NOT THE PROBLEM. START LISTENING TO THE PEOPLE WHO PAY YOUR WAGES! And here's the fact they can't brush aside: THERE WERE NO ARRESTS LAST NIGHT.

If the police have evidence that an individual committed an offence, investigate them and deal with them. Simple. But don't smear an entire protest because you don't like its message. The message from Portsmouth was one we've heard across Britain: STOP THE BOATS! SECURE OUR BORDERS! PUT BRITISH PEOPLE FIRST!

How many prime ministers, home secretaries and governments have promised to sort this mess out? And what have we got? More excuses. More spin. More lectures. And more politicians apparently incapable of understanding the anger outside the Westminster bubble.

 Burnham was supposed to be different. Different? He sounds more like Starmer every bloody day! The British working class has had enough of being talked down to by politicians who expect their votes and taxes but don't appear interested in listening to what they're saying.

 Tonight I'm asking: WHO ARE THE REAL THUGS? The people demanding secure borders? Or a political establishment that repeatedly promises action and then fails to deliver? Britain is angry. Portsmouth showed it again last night. Burnham can either start LISTENING to that anger — or carry on demonising the people expressing it. Because continually ignoring millions of people and treating legitimate anger with contempt is a dangerous road for this country.

 Do you support the masked STOP THE BOATS protesters in Dover — or did they go too far by covering their faces and blocking the roads? I understand the anger over illegal immigration.

I understand why people feel Westminster simply isn't listening. But if you believe strongly enough in your cause to take to the streets, why hide your face behind a balaclava? I don't want masked political protests becoming the norm in Britain — whether they come from the right, left or anywhere else.

 But that raises a much bigger and potentially uncomfortable question. If we want to ban balaclavas and masks at demonstrations, why shouldn't we have a proper debate about ALL face coverings in public — including the niqab and burqa? Should the law distinguish between somebody covering their face for political protest and somebody doing so for religious reasons? Or should Britain simply say: ONE RULE FOR EVERYONE — faces should be visible in public?

 And there's another question: did the Dover protesters actually HELP the Stop the Boats campaign — or damage it?  We're staring at serious economic problems, immigration remains one of the biggest issues in the country, public services are creaking and we've seen shocking disorder on our streets. And what does our new political messiah appear to be offering us? CHEAPER BUS FARES! Give me strength!

 He talks about cutting VAT on electricity. He talks about bringing utilities back under public control. He wants more devolution. More power for councils. More money for some train drivers. Lovely! BUT WHO THE HELL IS PAYING FOR ALL OF THIS?! That's the bit I want to hear, Andy.

You want utilities back under public control? Fine. HOW MUCH? WHERE'S THE MONEY? You want to give councils even more power? Have you seen the state of some of them?! Birmingham struggled to EMPTY THE BINS! Across Britain we've got roads that resemble obstacle courses because councils can't even FIX THE POTHOLES! And these are the people we're supposed to give MORE power to?!

Meanwhile, what about the questions millions of people actually want answered?

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ABOUT ILLEGAL MIGRATION? What are you going to do about lawlessness and serious disorder in our towns and cities? Where's the plan to get the economy moving? Where's the serious plan for growth? Where's the vision? Where's the LEADERSHIP?!

I don't want another TikTok politician. I don't want another bloke telling me there's jam tomorrow while asking me to admire the label on the jar today. Britain doesn't need another PR operation. It needs somebody prepared to make difficult decisions and tell us exactly how they're going to pay for them.]

 Maybe I've finally worked out Andy's masterplan. BORE US TO DEATH! Break our spirit. Wear us down. Keep talking until the entire country screams: ALL RIGHT, ANDY — WE SURRENDER! Because after only TWO DAYS, mate, you're doing a bloody good job of it!

So much for principle. So much for integrity. So much for putting the country before your political career.

John Healey was hailed as a politician with principles when he dramatically resigned as Defence Secretary over defence spending. He effectively accused Keir Starmer's government and the Treasury of failing to give our Armed Forces the money they needed. He told Parliament Britain needed to spend 3% of GDP on defence by 2030. His resignation helped pile the pressure onto an already crumbling Starmer government and Healey emerged looking like that rarest of creatures — a politician prepared to sacrifice his job for his principles.

Fast-forward a few weeks and Healey is back around the Cabinet table — this time as Chancellor of the Exchequer. And what happens to that great principle now HE controls the purse strings? Suddenly the 3% target can wait.

You couldn't make it up! Was his resignation really about Britain's national security — or was it another calculated move up the greasy political pole? If John Healey genuinely believed Britain was being put at risk by inadequate defence spending, how can he now justify delaying the very commitment he demanded from Starmer? And that raises a much bigger question: CAN WE TRUST ANY OF THEM? Do our MPs actually have principles anymore? Or do principles last only until they get in the way of the next Cabinet job, leadership contest or political promotion?

Are politicians entering Parliament to change the country — or simply to climb the greasy pole?

Middlesbrough today. Coventry, Birmingham, Manchester — or YOUR town tomorrow? More than 200 extra police officers are being drafted into the Cleveland area after a terrifying week of violence and tragedy. Nine people have died in separate incidents, while police investigate suspected organised crime, a fatal house fire, a stabbing and other serious incidents. But here's the question we need to ask: HOW DID WE GET HERE?

For years we've watched communities struggle with drugs, organised crime, anti-social behaviour and a growing minority who appear to have absolutely no respect for the police, the law or the communities they live in. We've tolerated too much for too long. Weak policing. A justice system that too often seems incapable of providing a serious deterrent. Drug dealing and drug abuse destroying communities. Parents failing to take responsibility for their kids. Anti-social behaviour dismissed as something we simply have to put up with.

Even Cleveland Police currently lists organised crime, drug dealing, criminal exploitation, anti-social behaviour and community intimidation among neighbourhood priorities in parts of Middlesbrough.

ENOUGH. I want ZERO TOLERANCE. More police on the streets. Tough action against organised crime and drug dealers. Proper punishment for violent offenders. Parents taking responsibility. And communities where decent, law-abiding people — not criminals — are in charge. Andy Burnham, this is bigger than another TikTok video or another PR announcement. GET TOUGH. GET A GRIP. RESTORE LAW AND ORDER. Because what we're witnessing around Middlesbrough should be a warning to the whole country.

I went into hospital to get my eyesight fixed. I came out seeing Britain more clearly than ever — and what I see frightens me.

Yesterday I had an eye procedure. But it wasn't the doctors who really opened my eyes. It was one of the nurses. We started talking about the horrific A66 crash that killed PCs Matthew Blades and Tom Clough. Two police officers went to work to protect the public and never came home. Yet Labour MP and Home Office minister Anna Turley offered condolences to all SEVEN families — including the families of the five men in the car that had been pursued by police before travelling the WRONG WAY down the A66 and smashing into the officers' vehicle.

What the hell has happened to this country?

Then my nurse told me something that made my blood run cold. She is frightened that a man who attacked her is being released under the early-release scheme. Think about that. She goes to work. She looks after patients. She raises her children. She pays her taxes. She obeys the law. And SHE is frightened because the system is releasing the man who attacked her.

Then we talked about the Channel, illegal immigration and public concern about serious sexual offences committed by some migrants. And here's my question for the Government: Why won't you give us the fullest possible figures on the ethnicity and immigration status of sexual offenders? Publish the data. ALL OF IT. Let the British people see the facts and make up their own minds. What are you frightened the figures might show?

Then my nurse summed up the mood of this country in one devastating sentence: "WHY DO I BOTHER?" Why bother getting up and going to work? Why bother getting your kids to school? Why bother paying your taxes? Why bother obeying the law? Why bother doing the right thing when you increasingly feel that law-abiding people come LAST?

That is what politicians need to understand. Millions of ordinary people aren't asking for special treatment. THEY WANT FAIR TREATMENT. They want criminals punished. They want victims protected. They want secure borders. They want the truth from their Government. And they want to stop being smeared as gammons, bigots or racists simply because they dare to ask difficult questions. Britain is angry. Britain is frustrated. And I believe Britain is approaching BREAKING POINT. Do you feel the same?

Jon Gaunt has had enough of the TikToks, the photo opportunities, the carefully chosen outfits and the endless PR. Andy Burnham seems increasingly obsessed with projecting the image of a statesman.  You genuinely couldn't make this stuff up. The Home Office has produced a nine-page guide for asylum seekers explaining that rape is illegal, women have equal rights, sexual consent matters, domestic abuse is illegal and you cannot have sex with children under 16.

Seriously?! If the Government believes some people arriving in Britain need to be TOLD these things, isn't that itself a massive warning sign? And what exactly is a pamphlet supposed to achieve? This feels like the ultimate case of shutting the stable door after the horse has bolted.

Instead of another leaflet, another poster and another Government initiative, why aren't we having the much bigger debate about who is entering Britain, how they are vetted, where they are housed and what happens when they commit serious crimes? There have been horrific cases involving individual asylum seekers convicted of sexual offences. Those crimes have real victims — women and children whose suffering isn't remotely funny. That's why this becomes a dark, dark comedy rather than something we can simply laugh about.

 For years, people raising legitimate questions about young undocumented men being accommodated in hotels, HMOs and other facilities have sometimes felt dismissed as racists or bigots. But asking questions about safeguarding, security and vetting is not the same thing as claiming every migrant is dangerous.

 Meanwhile, what is Andy Burnham talking about? He's embraced TikTok politics, he's been talking about bread rolls, and today he's announcing another initiative — this time tackling fly-tipping.

Of course fly-tipping matters. But Britain also faces enormous questions about borders, crime, prisons, housing and the cost of living. Are our politicians concentrating on the country's biggest priorities — or concentrating on producing the next social-media clip?

It increasingly feels like we're trapped inside a Ricky Gervais dark comedy. Except this isn't Netflix. THIS IS BRITAIN.

Andy Burnham has barely got his feet under the table and already the promises are coming thick and fast. More spending. More schemes. More interventions. More announcements. MORE TIKTOK VIDEOS!

But there is one very simple question that somebody has to ask: HOW THE HELL IS HE GOING TO PAY FOR IT ALL?

Burnham is supposed to be running a COUNTRY — but increasingly he seems to be behaving like he's still a Mayor with a magic money tree. He's gone from MAYOR to MaRE — a NIGHTMARE! And while Burnham tries to please everybody, is he completely missing the priorities of millions of ordinary British people?

Today Portugal has taken decisive action and enacted a ban on concealing faces in public, including full-face veils. Denmark has had a face-covering ban for years. Whatever you think of those policies, they raise a bigger question: could you imagine Burnham taking such a tough and potentially unpopular decision? Or is he fundamentally a PEOPLE PLEASER rather than a LEADER?

Meanwhile Britain has a prison overcrowding crisis and a deeply controversial early-release policy. Our borders still aren't secure. We continue paying France millions while small boats continue crossing the Channel. And we're having a national argument about whether foreign nationals should have access to British welfare regardless of how much — or how little — they have contributed.

IT'S BONKERS BRITAIN! Tonight I want to hear from YOU. What should Burnham's REAL priorities be? Where is the money coming from for his promises? Should benefits be based much more heavily on contribution? Should Britain follow Portugal and Denmark on face coverings? And is Burnham showing real leadership — or simply telling everybody what he thinks they want to hear?

FINALLY — SOME COMMON SENSE!

Wetherspoons boss Tim Martin is cracking down on customers who blast music, videos and phone calls through their speakers without headphones. And I say: GOOD! ABOUT BLOODY TIME! Why should everyone else in a pub have to listen to your TikToks, your music or both sides of your speakerphone conversation?

But here's the bigger question: why stop at Wetherspoons? Let's have the same ZERO TOLERANCE approach on buses, trains and in other public spaces. For too long we've tolerated selfish, intimidating and downright anti-social behaviour because nobody wants to confront it. We've allowed a minority of yobs to make everyday life miserable for everybody else.

Enough! In fact, forget Wetherspoons — MAKE TIM MARTIN HOME SECRETARY! Britain needs to rediscover something very simple: standards, manners and consequences.

What the hell is happening to Britain? We seem to have created a country where the feral, the feckless and the freeloaders are increasingly put ahead of the millions of decent people who work hard, pay their taxes, obey the law and play by the rules.

 And if saying that "triggers" you — GOOD! Because tonight at 6PM LIVE, I want a proper debate.

We'll talk about the extraordinary case surrounding the killer of Henry Nowak, including reports about prison visits involving his mother, who is herself behind bars!

 Then there's welfare. Reform UK wants benefit reform — but how far should it go? When does a welfare state designed as a safety net become a lifestyle choice? And why are politicians so terrified of even having that conversation?

 Meanwhile, we get ridiculous warnings about barbecue safety while roads are crumbling, public services are struggling and ordinary taxpayers increasingly wonder what exactly they are getting for their money. And then there's the NHS. We were promised a National Health Service. Has it become a World Health Service? Is it wrong even to ask whether people who have paid into the system should come first?

These are uncomfortable questions. But somebody has to ask them. Has Britain become a country where politicians worry more about offending people than standing up for the law-abiding majority? Or am I just a grumpy old git who needs to calm down?! YOU decide.

 "The thing I hear more than anything when I'm out talking to people is just how expensive everyday life has become." To which I say: Don't they talk about illegal immigration? The Muslim rape gangs? The early release of rapists, murderers and cop killers? Don't they mention the murder of PC Andrew Harper? Really, Andy?

You tell us you're travelling around the country meeting "real people" and listening to what they have to say. And yet apparently none of this comes up? You're not spinning us a yarn, are you, Andy?

Because that brings me to the other thing I'm already sick to the back teeth of — ANDY BURNHAM'S PR SPIN. I'm sick of the TikToks. I'm sick of the carefully cultivated "man of the people" shtick. The T-shirt. The no tie. The rolled-up sleeves. Look at me, I'm Andy, I'm just like you. Give me a break!

 Strip away the presentation and tell me: what is actually different between Andy Burnham and Keir Starmer? Apart from the fact that Andy still has black hair! Britain deserves better than this. It really does. We don't need another politician selling us an image. We don't need another social-media performance. We don't need another bloke telling us how much he's listening. WE NEED SOMEONE TO ACTUALLY DO SOMETHING. Stop telling us you're listening and start telling us what you're going to DO.

What are you going to do about illegal immigration? What are you going to do about the prison crisis and dangerous criminals being released early? What are you going to do to ensure the victims of grooming and rape gangs finally get justice? And what are you actually going to do to make ordinary people feel safe in their own country?

Because then, just when you think British politics can't get any more ridiculous, what happens? We get the nuclear-alert system on our mobile phones — and we're being told how to cook our bloody bangers! Seriously?! Is this what government has been reduced to? We've got a country facing enormous problems and apparently somebody in government thinks what Britain really needs is instructions on how to barbecue a sausage.

Forget the bangers. Get a grip on Britain. And here's the question I keep coming back to: ARE THE GROWN-UPS EVER GOING TO BE BACK IN CHARGE? JOIN ME LIVE AT 6

 Why does NOTHING seem to work properly in Britain anymore? The borders. The prisons. The NHS. Housing. Roads. Water. Government IT. The criminal justice system. Major infrastructure. We pay more and more tax — but where are the results? So tonight I'm asking a deliberately provocative question: IS ONE OF BRITAIN'S BIGGEST PROBLEMS THAT TOO MANY OF THE PEOPLE RUNNING THE COUNTRY HAVE NEVER HAD A PROPER JOB IN THE REAL WORLD?

 Look at the people at the top of British politics. How many have spent a substantial part of their working lives running a business, meeting a payroll, selling something, making something, working on a building site, driving a van, working in a factory, serving customers or simply dealing with the pressures ordinary workers and employers face every day?

Instead we've created the PROFESSIONAL POLITICIAN. University. Political researcher. Think tank. Union. Special adviser. MP. Minister. Cabinet. Politics isn't something they enter after experiencing life. POLITICS IS THEIR LIFE. And I think that matters. Where are the awkward, independent-minded MPs prepared to tell their own party: "That's complete rubbish and I'm not voting for it"? Where are the characters? The entrepreneurs? The people who've actually succeeded — or failed — outside Westminster?

Last night millions of phones across England and Wales suddenly started screaming with an Emergency Alert warning about the extreme wildfire risk. Fine. Fire chiefs believed the danger justified it. But it got me thinking. WHAT DOES THIS GOVERNMENT CONSIDER AN EMERGENCY? We're in August. It's extremely hot. Most of us can work that out.

But what about the prisons? What about the possibility of serious offenders being released early because we haven't built enough prison places? What about the extraordinary controversy over two men convicted of the manslaughter of PC Andrew Harper potentially qualifying for early release? What about foreign national offenders occupying prison places when the Government should be doing everything possible to remove those who can lawfully be deported? And what about the Channel? More than 3,000 people had crossed in small boats in the first fortnight of Andy Burnham's premiership, despite his promise to be "relentless" on the issue.

These are the things many ordinary people are talking about. So why does Westminster so often appear to be having a completely different conversation? THEY DON'T LIVE IN OUR WORLD. And perhaps that's why they're so frightened of politicians who can bypass Westminster and connect directly with voters. Whatever you think of Nigel Farage, he understands how to communicate with people who believe the political establishment neither listens to them nor understands them.

Perhaps that's the real political divide now. Not simply LEFT versus RIGHT. THE POLITICAL CLASS versus EVERYONE ELSE I want YOUR views.

 Is Britain suffering because we've created a generation of career politicians? Should MPs have substantial real-world experience before entering Parliament? Would Parliament be better with more builders, nurses, engineers, soldiers, shopkeepers, farmers, factory workers and entrepreneurs — and fewer professional politicians?

 Or is the whole idea nonsense and political experience exactly what ministers need? JUST ASKING!

BURNHAM'S DELIBERATELY MISSING THE POINT! STOP MOVING ILLEGALS — STOP THE BOATS!

 Andy Burnham is playing a blinder — because once again the political and media conversation is focused on the WRONG QUESTION. We're being encouraged to argue about WHERE illegal migrants should be housed. Cities? Towns? Rural communities? Hotels? Camps? But I'm asking something much more fundamental: WHY ARE THEY STILL COMING ACROSS THE CHANNEL IN THE FIRST PLACE?

 Successive governments have failed to control Britain's borders — and now ordinary communities are effectively being told they have to "do their bit" and accept the consequences. No! POLITICIANS NEED TO DO THEIR BIT. Secure the border. Stop the boats. Process claims rapidly. Remove people who have no legal right to remain. And create a system that actually deters illegal crossings rather than endlessly managing them after they've happened.

That's why I believe Burnham is deliberately missing the point. By turning today's argument into a row about whether migrants should be moved from cities into rural areas, the debate shifts away from the enormous political failure at the heart of this crisis: BRITAIN HAS LOST CONTROL OF ITS BORDERS.

 And before somebody inevitably starts screaming "racist" or "far-right", let's be absolutely clear. Wanting secure borders isn't racist. Wanting immigration laws enforced isn't racist. Wanting failed asylum seekers removed isn't racist. And believing governments should plan properly instead of constantly firefighting crises isn't extremist.

 The same principle applies to our prisons. We don't want dangerous prisoners released early simply because politicians failed to provide enough prison places. When the controversy involves men convicted over the killing of PC Andrew Harper, the public understandably wants to know why the system reached this position. Governments know roughly how many prisoners they have.

They know roughly how many people are entering the asylum system. SO PLAN AHEAD! BUILD THE CAPACITY! CONTROL THE BORDER! And then, to cap it all, Burnham is reportedly calling a COBRA meeting over the hot weather. IT'S AUGUST!

Where's that emergency mentality over the Channel? Where's the COBRA-level urgency over prison capacity? Where's the detailed plan to stop illegal crossings rather than simply deciding where people should be housed once they're here?

I never thought I'd be asking this question: WAS KEIR STARMER ACTUALLY A BETTER PRIME MINISTER THAN ANDY BURNHAM?! At least with Starmer you knew what you were getting. He couldn't communicate, couldn't connect with ordinary people and, in my view, you could see the political spin coming a mile off.

Burnham is different. He is a brilliant communicator. He understands PR. He talks the language of ordinary people. But where are the RESULTS?

That's what tonight's show is about. Take the disgraceful situation surrounding PC Andrew Harper's killers. After massive public anger, Burnham now says he is "increasingly confident" they can be prevented from being released early. Good. I hope he succeeds.

BUT WHY DID WE GET INTO THIS POSITION IN THE FIRST PLACE? Why weren't killers like these excluded from the early-release scheme from day one? Why has it taken outrage from the Harper family, the police and hundreds of thousands of ordinary people to force action?

And then there are the SMALL BOATS. Burnham promised to be "relentless". But people are still crossing the Channel. Since he entered Downing Street, thousands more have made the journey. 3000 in total! We don't need another slogan. WE NEED RESULTS.

Then there's Burnham's growing shopping list of promises: £2 bus fares, help for pubs, social-care reform, apprenticeships, energy measures and more. Some of those ideas sound great. I've said that myself. But Britain's finances don't run on good intentions. WHERE IS THE MONEY COMING FROM?

Burnham's first Budget isn't until October, so tonight I want to separate the announcements from the properly costed policies and ask whether we're being sold another enormous helping of JAM TOMORROW. That's my growing concern about Andy Burnham. LOTS OF PR. LOTS OF ANNOUNCEMENTS. LOTS OF PROMISES. But will he actually deliver?

1️⃣ STOP LETTING PRISONERS OUT EARLY. If our prisons are full, build more capacity. The answer cannot simply be opening the gates.

2️⃣ BUILD NIGHTINGALE PRISONS. We built emergency hospitals when Britain faced a crisis. Why can't we create emergency prison capacity while permanent prisons are built?

3️⃣ DEPORT FOREIGN NATIONAL OFFENDERS. Why should British taxpayers continue paying to imprison foreign criminals who could be removed from the country where legally possible?

4️⃣ PROCESS ILLEGAL MIGRANTS IN A THIRD COUNTRY. The small-boats crisis needs a genuine deterrent. Stop rewarding people smugglers and destroy their business model.

5️⃣ PROTECT POLITICIANS AND GIVE US THE TRUTH. What is being done to protect politicians including Nigel Farage? And the public deserves clear answers about the circumstances and investigation surrounding the killing of Ann Widdecombe.

6️⃣ JUST GET ON WITH IT! Less touring. Less talking. Less Westminster waffle. Britain needs ACTION. Thousands of people are watching the small boats arrive, worrying about crime, prisons, immigration and whether our borders are actually under control.

BAN BALACLAVAS! SO WHAT ABOUT BURKHAS & VEILS?

 At last, a council appears to be talking some common sense about people covering their faces in our city centres.

 Nottingham is considering a ban on balaclavas after concerns were raised during a public consultation on measures designed to make the city safer. Council leader Neghat Khan has highlighted the sight of people riding around on e-bikes wearing balaclavas even in scorching summer temperatures and says people have a right to feel safe in their own city.

 I AGREE. If you're riding around a city centre in 32-degree heat with a balaclava covering your identity, why shouldn't the police and the public be suspicious? But here's the question I want YOU to debate with me LIVE: If we're going to ban balaclavas in the interests of public safety, why shouldn't the same rule apply to ALL face coverings in public places — including the niqab, burkha or other veils that conceal a person's identity?

 This isn't about attacking anybody's religion. It's about asking whether there should be ONE RULE FOR EVERYONE when it comes to identifying people in public spaces. If the argument is that covering your face can make other people feel unsafe, hinder identification or make policing more difficult, surely we have to be prepared to debate where the line should be drawn. Should religious exemptions exist?

 Should people be required to uncover their faces only in certain places or when requested by police? Or should Britain simply say that, apart from genuine medical, occupational or safety reasons, faces should remain visible in public?

And there's a bigger question. WHY HAVE BALACLAVAS BECOME SO NORMAL? Masked riders on e-bikes. Shoplifting gangs. Street robbery. Phones being snatched. Ordinary people intimidated in their own town and city centres.

Have we tolerated this for far too long? Nottingham says it wants to become the safest city in the country. GOOD. Let's see other councils show the same ambition. But let's have an honest debate and let's not be frightened of difficult questions. 🔥 BAN BALACLAVAS — YES OR NO?

🔥 SHOULD THE RULE COVER ALL FACE COVERINGS?

 🔥 SHOULD RELIGIOUS FACE COVERINGS BE EXEMPT?

 Britain is facing a prison crisis, a small boats crisis, a cost of living crisis, and growing public anger over crime. Yet just 15 days into the job, Andy Burnham has gone on holiday. Really?

 Today, outrage is growing after the early release of the killers of PC Andrew Harper. Thousands have already signed a petition demanding the Government reverse the decision and keep these dangerous criminals behind bars.  Two of the men convicted over the killing of PC Andrew Harper are being released early. Whatever your politics, many people will ask whether that can possibly be right.

 Yes, Britain's prisons are under enormous pressure. Yes, there is a genuine capacity crisis. But surely there has to be a line. If those responsible for the death of a young police officer are being released early, what message does that send to every serving police officer putting their life on the line today?

 Joining me LIVE is former Metropolitan Police Commander and former Police & Crime Commissioner Kevin Hurley.

 We'll ask: • Has Britain's justice system completely lost the confidence of the public? • Is the prison crisis now out of control? • Are politicians putting ideology ahead of public safety?

 We'll also discuss Andy Burnham's decision to head off on holiday after just two weeks in office. Is now really the right time?  Is FARAGE right? Put the ROYAL NAVY in the Channel to STOP the Small Boats INVASION?

 If you've watched Jon Gaunt TV over the past few months, you'll know today's debate won't come as any surprise. I've repeatedly argued that Britain has to stop talking tough and start acting tough. I've said for months that if we are serious about ending the small boats crisis, we should use the Royal Navy to defend our borders, return illegal migrants to France, and destroy the business model of the people smugglers.

 Today, Nigel Farage and Reform UK have put forward proposals that take the debate firmly in that direction. Following Reform's press conference, we're asking whether Britain should adopt a far tougher approach to illegal Channel crossings. Has Spain shown that determined border enforcement can work? Should Britain follow suit? And if the European Convention on Human Rights stands in the way of the policies some people want, should we leave the ECHR?

 For years we've been promised that the boats would stop. Instead, they've kept coming. Successive governments have promised to "smash the gangs," but many people believe the crossings continue because Britain remains an attractive destination and the deterrent simply isn't there.

 So is Farage right? Should the Royal Navy and Royal Marines be deployed in the Channel? Should illegal migrants be returned to France ? Has Spain shown Britain what decisive border enforcement looks like? Or would these proposals create more problems than they solve?

 Andy Burnham has unveiled another raft of expensive promises. I actually agree with many of them—but where are the costings?

 Tonight we'll separate the headlines from the hard numbers.

Andy Burnham wants Britain to believe he has the answers. More money for social care. Cheaper bus fares. More apprenticeships. Help for Britain's struggling pubs.

 Here's the thing... I actually support much of that. Who wouldn't want a properly funded social care system? Who wouldn't like cheaper public transport? Who doesn't want to see pubs survive or more young people given real opportunities through apprenticeships?

But ambition isn't enough. Where's the beef? Where are the costings? Where is the economic plan? How much will these promises actually cost?

Will taxes go up? Will borrowing rise? What public spending will be cut to pay for it all? Or are we simply expected to applaud the headlines without ever seeing the bill?

 There's another question that deserves a proper answer too. How was Burnham able to secure and finance his "Number 10 North" headquarters before he had even been elected as an MP, let alone become Prime Minister? Who funded it? Who organised it?

If there are straightforward answers, then the public deserves to hear them. This isn't about opposing every policy because it comes from Andy Burnham. It's about asking the questions every Prime Minister should expect to answer. If you're asking the British people to trust you with the country's finances, you should also be prepared to show them the numbers.

Tonight we'll go through Burnham's latest announcements line by line, separate the headlines from the hard facts, and ask one simple question: Is Andy Burnham taking Britain for mugs... or does he have a credible plan that he's yet to reveal?

 How many more warnings does Western Europe need before its politicians finally wake up?

 Berlin has just witnessed a deadly Islamist extremist attack targeting people gathered near its Pride celebrations. A van was driven into the crowd before further violence erupted, leaving one person dead and many more injured.

 Now, today in Paris, three women have been stabbed in broad daylight. The arrested suspect reportedly claimed that Allah had commanded him to carry out the attack, although the precise motive remains under investigation.

 How many times are we expected to watch scenes like these before mainstream politicians admit that Europe has a serious problem with Islamist extremism?

 They lecture ordinary people about diversity. They warn us about our language. They appear terrified of being accused of racism or Islamophobia. But where is their courage when women are being stabbed in the street or gay people are apparently targeted at Pride celebrations? It increasingly feels as though terrorist atrocities and extremist violence are being treated as acceptable collateral damage in the political establishment's pursuit of uncontrolled migration and multiculturalism at any cost.

Let me make the distinction absolutely clear: A Muslim is a follower of a religion. An Islamist is a political extremist who wants religious ideology imposed upon society. Millions of peaceful, law-abiding Muslims reject terrorism and want to live freely in modern Western democracies. They must never be confused with radical Islamists who despise our freedoms, intimidate women, persecute gay people and seek to undermine liberal democracy. But refusing to make that distinction—and refusing to confront Islamist fascism—is not tolerance. It is cowardice.

 There is growing anger throughout Western Europe. Ordinary people can see what is happening, yet mainstream politicians continue to avoid the issue. They promise to control illegal immigration, defend our borders and protect the public—but nothing fundamentally changes.

Why? Is it incompetence, cowardice—or do they simply lack the political will to solve it? And where is Andy Burnham? Why has a man who apparently wants to lead Britain had so little to say about illegal immigration, integration and the threat of Islamist extremism?

 When elected politicians refuse even to discuss the public's legitimate fears, they create a dangerous political vacuum. That vacuum will eventually be filled by extremists. Elon Musk is warning that Britain and Europe could be heading towards civil conflict. Is that prediction alarmist—or is it what happens when public anger is ignored for too long?

Jon Gaunt asks: Have mainstream politicians abandoned their most basic responsibility—to protect their own citizens? This is not about attacking Muslims. It is about defending Muslims, Christians, Jews, atheists, women, gay people and every law-abiding citizen from a fascistic extremist ideology that has no place in a modern liberal democracy. The politicians must stop hiding. The public are demanding action—and they will not remain silent forever.
