The Island Green crew is back for their first episode of 2026, broadcasting once again from the Basement of Dreams with beers in hand and zero distractions, allegedly.

Len, Chris, and Todd wrap up their golf year with laughs over Golf Canada “wrapped” stats, travel stories, rounds played across the country and abroad, and what it really means to be in the top one percent of golf supporters. The conversation drifts into private club board life, pace of play complaints, why volunteering sounds great until it involves effort, and how to instantly silence a frustrated member.

Along the way, the boys reflect on podcast life, listener dedication, viral moments that may or may not exist, and officially kick off sim season while raising a glass to more golf in 2026.

The boys are back in the basement with Chris sporting an aggressive Denver Broncos Santa hat and sweater combo. In this episode, the crew recaps a chaotic ping pong tournament where Todd dominated and Len treated his paddle like a 60-degree wedge, nearly taking out the ceiling.

Chris airs his grievances in a new "Marketplace Controversy" involving a pair of "brand new" shorts that turned out to be DIY cut-off pants. Episode 62 features an awesome sit-down with one of PEI’s brightest young athletes, Hunter Burke, fresh off his run at the Notah Begay World Junior Championship. Hunter talks pressure, putting, playing with Tony Finau’s son, and what it’s like dropping a par four hole-in-one (as your first). The guys swap stories about birthday weeks, inversion tables, photography chaos, and how juniors today somehow handle pressure better than grown men.

A fun mix of golf, laughs, life, and one seriously impressive young talent.

Episode 61 dives hard into the “Beyond” part of Island Green & Beyond. The boys set up shop in Todd’s legendary basement: From there it’s pure chaos in the best way possible.

They swap stories about daylight savings confusion (including parents with two watches and clocks set 20 minutes fast), memory hacks from Jim Kwik, and how brain tricks might actually help you remember names in your weekend foursome. Then it’s all-in on PEI Halloween drama: trick-or-treating getting moved for weather, being the “big chocolate bar house,” potato and apple handouts, UNICEF money mysteriously “compounding,” and kids running complex candy-arbitrage routes across counties.

Eventually, they stumble back toward sports with a cathartic breakdown of the Blue Jays–Dodgers World Series: superstition, blown leads, wild moments, payroll rants, and the eternal debate of loyalty vs ring-chasing. There’s even a quick nod to King of the Hill at Glasgow to remind everyone this is still technically a golf podcast.

We had such a blast last week with Evan we decided to recruit one of his partners in crime and get Mike Favier on the podcast. Great talking to these two young lads and Mike certainly has some great stories and a great memory as well. The guys talk a little about their favorite swing tips, what's going on locally around the golf courses, and some more stories of the Medicine Hat junior trip come out as well. This weeks guest, Evan Stewart, made an incredible first impression on Len by ironically impersonating the former British Open first tee announcer Ivor Robson. Evan joins Len for the entire episode and they discuss a very wide range of golf subjects from his current role at Belfast Highland Greens, to going to the nationals and the first time his Dad watched him golf. If you were like Len who, living in PEI wasn't sure who Dave Williamson is, listen up. He's 2020 NS player of the year, former PGA Tour Canada player, 2008 NS AND NB Amateur Champion (in addition to 2010 Am champ in NS), and a Junior Champion up the wazoo. The best part about meeting with Dave however was his memory. Stories about playing against Adam Hadwin, buddies with Joel Dahmen, and stories about last weeks guest Anthony Warren. This guy was a beauty to listen to and the stories are fantastic. Nick + Len have a bunch of Masters talk of course and of course some local updates. Enjoy folks.

This weeks anticipated episode we have Anthony Warren on the podcast for a few hours to discuss his golf career. As Anthony would say it's been a career filled with peaks and valleys, but no one can deny the incredible talent he showcased and continues do on the golf course. The days are getting longer and so is this podcast. We were pumped to have Tim McCullum join us on the podcast for an extended interview talking about his Holland College experiences, his playing days, working with Taylor Made and how that came to be, living in a Hotel and more! Brodie + Stephen have nothing better to do currently so we got them on the podcast to do our regular ranting about the PGA tour and the Saudi league, the Waste(d) Management, the new Junior Golf sponsor on PEI and lots more. 

Really pumped to have Paul MacCormack, the GM and Superintendent of Fox Meadow Golf Course on the podcast this week. He was kind enough to share his experiences becoming a superintendent, the jobs he's had getting there, his current roles, how important mental well-being is and his advocacy in that regards with being the mindfulsuper. He's written "A Gentleman's Game" which was turned into a movie, one of Lens' favorite books "Paper Tiger", as well as Best Selling books "A Course Called Ireland", "A Course Called Scotland", and his most recent book which was just released in May, "A Course Called America". BK and Nick take over the podcast for the week as Len wasn't available for the recording and the boys discuss the Nova Scotia and NB Amateur championships, the Stanley Cup Finals and the big PGA Atlantic Zone Championship.
