The Immortals go to France and pick up all the food you didn't want to eat, you monsters. Also they watch Agnes Varda's The Gleaners and I.

Don't believe the title! The Immortals watch the upsetting Michael Haneke film Funny Games. (The original, not the American remake). They spoil the whole movie as they discuss whether Haneke's thesis still applies today and if the movie can work without it.

Given that Fat City is a boxing movie, Austin should have been more prepared to put up his dukes. The Immortals have a notably mixed reaction to the John Huston film, but they reunite for their love of Bruce Springsteen. They also discuss Ultravox's Vienna (or is Venice?) and the strange legacy of South Park. Enjoy!

The Immortals are nothing but method podcasters. They recorded this a bit too late into the evening which puts them in the right mindset to go down the Amazon with Werner Herzog as conquistadors look for El Dorado in Aguirre, the Wrath of God. They go into ALL of their favorite Herzog stories and occasionally mention why the movie is good. They also dive into the classic Prince album, Purple Rain. Their hearts warm when they let love open the door with Pete Townshend and Jonathan Creek. It's a good episode!
