When Jen asked for me to have her back on the show, I of course was thrilled! And towards the end of the episode she shares that she asked for this opportunity, so I promise I'm not breaking any sort of code of silence.
When Jen Bowers was with us last year (almost exactly 12 months back, episode 25), she was juggling her corporate job and early stage online business (Pink Pom Pom social). I cheekily suggested that surely her vision looked a lot like walking out of said corporate role and into full time entrepreneurship!
Like many of us do, Jen was clinging to the safety of her job. Meanwhile, I could clearly see there was so much more joy & freedom to be had. She kind of resisted.
BUT, ultimately, COVID forced her hand, via a redundancy.
This happened in October, which happened to be while Jen was participating in the Momentum Mastermind (that I host). As she tells it, she believes she would have fallen in a heap without the support. I told you it was a good idea for her to come back on :)
Instead she picked herself up. Ousted her imposter syndrome. Expanded her offers and went to market with 4X the prices she had in mind.
These days, Jen is LOVING her life and her business - which has massively expanded and she's just warming up.

This time last year I was literally scraping the bottom of the barrel....the money barrel that is.
I'm talking about using the 5c pieces in my coin jar to buy my coffee!
At the exact same time, I was working around the clock. I'm talking 7 days a week and working too many hours.
Because I was stuck in a groove you may even be familiar with? It's called trying to be all things to all people, to keep the dream alive.
offering coaching (any type) to anyone who worked in corporate, instead of positioning myself with precision
creating and running two completely different courses, with different target audiences (instead of being single minded)
one focussed on happiness 'Planit Happy', the love yourself happy course
the other on supporting want to be online entrepreneur's validate and market themselves (their biz) online (6 Figure Foundations, the Lit Up & Liberated Biz Academy)
struggling in the aftermath of the corporate consulting work I'd finally attracted being pulled from under me (thanks COVID)...
And I felt all sorts of fear, shame and disappointment.
✔️am I actually going to 'make it' and survive the transition to business owner? ✔️what if nobody will loan me any more money to get by? ✔️omg, I'm so ashamed, what will they think of me? ✔️I can't, I just can't go back to corporate, noooooooooooooooooo!!
I had no idea, that the very next month, things would start to shift.
That I would delete 70% of the work I was doing and focus on doing just one thing exceptionally well (business and marketing coaching, for visionary business owners).
That my income would climb from that low of $3,311 (AUD!) in April 2020, to $10k in May, $18k in June and consistent $20k+ months for the rest of the year.
Imagine, if I had quit?
I wouldn't be:

Only kidding, you absolutely need BOTH.
That being said, there's one you can't rely on, without the other!
What I'm talking about here, is you can have all the strategy in the world, but if you don't work on your mindset, you won't executive effectively.
And strategy, is theory. We don't see theory in the market.....we see what you've executed.
Along my journey, I learned the hard way that mindset isn't something you master. It's something you practise. We're vulnerable without the practise and every time we reach a new level, a whole new mindset is required. "New level, new devil!".
I'm so passionate about the importance of mindset, it's the first module in the Momentum Mastermind and front and centre with all my clients. What I teach is the daily practise of a healthy mindset, through consistent application of tools and techniques, that work!

I disappeared and I didn't even tell you where I was going!
I'm so sorry....the thing is it came to me that it was time for a big change. But I needed to go through the process of having some time out to determine the direction. And I'm talking about a change with the podcast, I'm not like getting a J.O.B. or anything crazy!
And so I gave myself a permission slip to hit the pause button.
Eight weeks later I'm back with a little bit of an update & where to next!
This is officially the end of season one, which was sub titled "from wannapreneur to entrepreneur" because my business has evolved and while I still want to inspire you wannapreneurs....it's time to me to step up and into my rightful place as a Biz coach that focusses primarily on existing businesses owners, ready to uplevel their marketing and mindset.
Season two will be starting next week with the brand new sub title: "market your way to $100k".

Valuing Life Force over Hustle; A Personal Reflection: Episode #157

In today’s episode, I'm sharing a personal reflection that came to me during a business retreat this past weekend (mid March 2024).
This is not your standard "learn about Human Design for Marketing" episode but I think it offers even more value. In fact for some of you it could be the message you most need to hear right now.
The big theme for today is ENERGY and the different ways we value it, when it comes to both Life Force and Money.
Because what I realised is that we don't generally value or prioritise our life-force in the same way we do money. Which is all sorts of ridiculous when you think about it..... fact is we can always make more money, but we only have a finite amount of life force. It genuinely is our most precious resource.
In this episode, as well as sharing the back story of the weekend and what's happened since, I offer you an invitation to consider this for yourself too. As in: what if you stopped putting all your attention on making more money and became more focussed on maximising your energetic life force?
I have a feeling that in doing so, you will end up with more of both.

As in, "I'm struggling with writing my emails, offer pages and social posts....and I really wish I could afford to out source" - or "how can you help me"?!
Which leads me to believe, that this is a topic well worth exploring here on the podcast.
Because I'm all about helping you feel #litupandliberated as an entrepreneur. And this struggle thing doesn't cut it!
And while out-sourcing may be the right solution for you, it's typically considered a 'luxury', at least early on. So this episode is about providing a bridge for you in the mean time. Kind of like teaching you to fish, rather than catching fish for you :)

I'm not going to lie, and you KNOW this from listening to me for the past year (OMG a full year, how did that happen?!), the entrepreneurial journey is a roller coaster. I'm here for it all.....
And having recently thrived through a launch that didn't quite meet my expectations, I realised how important it was that I share.
Not gunna lie, I was disappointed on some level, but I remained upbeat and happy throughout. Not only that, but others were saying things to me like:
OMG lady, you're amazing
I love your positivity
Gosh your perspective is incredible
I wouldn't have received these beautiful words, if I hadn't been vulnerable and open about my experience.
Which led me here to my podcast, and sharing how you can move through challenges & surthrive them too!

This is the story of how I went from struggling financially in early 2020, to bringing in six figures in sales in one quarter. #truestory

The C Word...Cancer rather than COVID in this case!
This week's episode is a little different.
It's not specifically about my business journey, but it's related and relevant.
In celebration of being 10 years cancer free, I share the top 10 lessons of my last 10 years.
Honestly, each and every one of them led me here. To this life, business and podcast. To talking to you as you walk, run, drive, cook or wherever else it finds you.
BUT, unlike in my social media posts, I don't just share the lessons, I give you the full context of why & how they've each impacted me.

✅ Worrying about what might happen is a waste of your precious happiness
✅ If you don’t take time to reflect and connect with your true self, you will live not by design, but by accident

✅ When something doesn’t feel good in your soul, it’s genuinely time to move on (because life is short)

Let's cut to it......having a positive money mindset is absolutely imperative in achieving financial success. BUT, most of us develop money beliefs in our childhoods that are limiting us from the abundance we seek.
Ask yourself this....what are the main messages you recall hearing from your family growing up around money.
Perhaps you're like me and it's 'money doesn't grow on trees you know Yvette'!?
Whatever the case, these types of beliefs typically take hold without conscious awareness. Blame repetition and deep running neural pathways! So it's incredibly beneficial to do the work to name, them shame them and dissipate them!

A: As I share in this episode, my answer is HELL YES!

I got started with a course on teaching people how to be happier. My current course teaches new entrepreneurs to set 6 figure foundations in their businesses.
Since I started creating courses in November 2019, I’ve brought in over 💰💰💰 $50k in related revenue. Not too shabby!

This week I went live into the Lit Up & Liberated Entrepreneur FB group on this very exciting topic. When I asked the question of my instagram audience, if it was a good idea to turn the chat into a podcast episode, the answer was a resounding yes. So here I am!
Yes, this is a true story, in late May 2020, I launched a limited number of six month private business coaching packages (7 in total) and they sold out.
This is exciting for many reasons:
I know these humans will experience huge transformations in their businesses
This gives me financial freedom, in the form of a solid foundation of recurring monthly revenue through November 2020
It's boosted my confidence, solidified my mindset, and that's already attracting more of my ideal clients into my world
I'm well aware all of the above will only further fuel my other product launches, across the rest of the year (and beyond!).
Given this episode wasn't planned as a podcast, forgive me that I jump around a bit. I promise it's worth sticking with it, there's some golden nuggets for you on offer.
