We're back to finish our conversation with Jennings Muniz, TESOL Director at YWAM Honolulu. We talk about the awe and wonder you experience when you understand the layers of the Old Testament and complicated books like Leviticus. She also shares how the Holy Spirit opened her eyes to God's love and joy throughout those books, and I think it will leave you feeling inspired, too!

Jennings also reveals why she thinks those of us living off the full-time mission field have a harder job than she does when it comes to sharing our faith!!

Leviticus isn't the go-to book in your average Bible study, but does that mean there isn't something there for you? In this episode, Jess interviews her friend Jennings, a long-term missionary with YWAM Honolulu, about this very idea. In Jenn's own life she took Leviticus for granted until she began to deeply study it and found so many connections to Jesus! And that's the point of Scripture, to connect us to Jesus!

Jess kicks off the episode with a few travel stories about getting lost and wandering Irish backroads. Then she has an honest chat about what it looks like, as believers in Christ, to be truly open with our friends about our struggles.

Confession isn't something we're constantly thinking about in friendship, but when it comes to being vulnerable with our struggles to those closest to us, the practice of confession can lead to greater strength and trust in the long run. It doesn't mean you're vulnerable with everyone! But for those who you do trust and share things with, the practice of confession can make even the strongest friendships that much more resilient AND serve as a testimony of how to walk out Galatians 6:1 & 2 as we bear one another's burdens.

While Jess meant to record a lighthearted girl-chat episode, she can't help but find herself in the deep waters of all that God is speaking to her and her friends right now! She hits on the difficulty of resting in today's world, the beauty of God's plan to upend the upside down world we live in, and at the end of the day, Jesus should be our focus. When we know him, a lot of questions we ask about ourselves get answered!

Jess is getting into the theological and eschatological weeds of the Rapture this week because we were all supposed to be raptured apparently. Jess sits down with one of her best friends to chat about navigating friendships at different stages of life!
