UFO FEV was surrounded by a household diverse on music; listening to hip-hop, latin, and freestyle. But the major influence in music was his father, Tony from the internationally-known group TKA.

FEV used to tag along with his father; going to local shows, enjoying tours and witnessing the phenomenon of a success and a dream come true. The name FEV was given to him by Black Rob. His exact words were, "You're hot like a fever", hence the name FEV which stuck with him.

Although rap is where he stands out Balis is also known for his versatility collaborating on songs with international R&B star David Correy & was also well known & credited for his song dedicated towards his admiration for pop star Zendaya titled “Zendaya’s Song” which boasted over 1.9 million plays on Facebook & was even liked by Zendaya herself on Twitter & caused quite some noise at the time of its release.
