104 | Outgrowing Friendships: When Personal Growth Changes the Relationship (with Dana Mosley)30 Dec 202500:32:46

What happens when you begin to grow—and a friendship doesn’t grow with you?

In this final episode of 2025, Cecelia is joined by Dana Mosley for an honest, compassionate conversation about outgrowing friendships. Together, they explore what it feels like when personal growth, healing, or life changes begin to shift the dynamics of a relationship—and how to navigate that transition with clarity, maturity, and grace.

This episode is especially for women who find themselves asking quiet questions like: Have I changed? Have we changed? And what does it mean if this friendship no longer fits the way it used to?

Rather than rushing to labels or dramatic conclusions, Cecelia and Dana discuss how growth can create distance without creating failure—and how honoring seasons in friendship can be an act of wisdom, not selfishness.

In this episode, we talk about:

What it really means to “outgrow” a friendship

How to recognize when a friendship has entered a new season

Letting go (or loosening your grip) without bitterness, guilt, or shame

90 | Stop Letting Disagreements Break Your Friendships: A Guide to Healthy Conflict Resolution with Ashley Cook21 Oct 202500:26:15

Conflict is normal — even in the healthiest female friendships. But how you handle it can determine whether your bond deepens or slowly fades away.

In this episode of The Friendship Tour, Cecelia sits down with Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Ashley Cook, to discuss conflict — why it happens, why we avoid it, and how to navigate it with grace. Ashley walks through the five styles of conflict resolution — avoidance, defeating, compromise, accommodating, and collaboration — and shares why collaboration is often the healthiest approach, though each style has its place.

Together, they explore: 💬 Why conflict is both normal and necessary in friendships 🪞 How self-awareness, emotional regulation, and communication shape your reactions 🚧 Why unresolved conflict keeps relationships surface-level 🧠 When ongoing struggles with conflict might signal it’s time for therapy or deeper support 💖 How learning to navigate disagreements can actually deepen connection and build trust

If you’ve ever worried that a fight might end a friendship, this episode will help you see conflict in a new light — not as the end, but as a doorway to growth and stronger relationships.

89 | Why Is It So Hard to Make Friends as an Adult? 4 Reasons We Struggle with Friendship14 Oct 202500:12:03

Why Is It So Hard to Make Friends as an Adult? 4 Reasons We Struggle with Friendship

Why is it so hard to make friends as an adult? You’re not alone in wondering! In this episode, host Cecelia Curtis, a Christian friendship coach, wife, boy mom, and all-around friendship encourager, breaks down four key reasons adult friendships can feel so complicated — and what to do about it.

Cecelia shares why making and keeping friends as grown women requires more intentionality than ever before, exploring topics like:

Fewer natural opportunities to meet new people once school and early life routines end. Time constraints — because careers, kids, and commitments leave little space for connection. Greater selectivity — how knowing yourself better can sometimes make friendship harder. Fear of vulnerability — why opening up feels risky, but it’s the key to meaningful connection.

This heartfelt, faith-filled episode reminds you that if you’re struggling to make or keep friends, you’re not the only one. Adult friendship isn’t impossible — it just takes intention, patience, and a little courage.

88 | DAY 3 of The Friendship Reset Challenge: Reaffirm09 Oct 202500:04:45

In today’s episode, I invite you to slow down and show gratitude for the people who've been showing up for you — the friend, coworker, or acquaintance who prays for you, listens to you, checks in, or just makes you laugh.

Reaffirming is about nurturing what’s already good. It’s a reminder that friendship doesn’t always need fixing or finding — sometimes it just needs watering.

Think of one current relationship that feels good and right. Then, do something to affirm that friendship today:

1. Send a voice note or text saying how much you appreciate her.

2. Write a short note or card.

3. Plan a coffee date, walk, or prayer call.

It doesn’t have to be fancy — it just has to be genuine.

💡 Friendship Takeaway

A friendship reset isn’t about perfection. It’s about progress. When you reflect, reconnect, and reaffirm — you’re taking steps toward more intentional, joy-filled relationships.

87 | DAY 2 of The Friendship Reset Challenge: Reconnect08 Oct 202500:04:54

Today’s focus is Reconnect — taking intentional action to reconnect with an old friend. Whether you send a text, make a quick call, or reach out to someone who’s been on your heart, this small act can make a big difference. It might lead to a rekindled friendship, or it might simply be a sweet moment of connection — either way, it’s progress.

💡 Friendship tip: Don’t overthink it. Scroll through your phone, trust your gut, and reach out to the person who comes to mind. The goal is not perfection — it’s effort, authenticity, and heart.

81 | The "Strong Friend's" Dilemma: Helping vs. Enabling with Latasha Kennedy23 Sep 202500:24:38

Are you helping… or are you enabling? It’s not always easy to tell the difference, especially in our closest relationships. In this episode of The Friendship Tour, we’re closing out the 3-part Strong Friend series with a conversation that gets right to the heart of support, accountability, boundaries, and the weight of “superwoman” expectations.

My guest, Latasha Kennedy (founder of Girlfriends Thriving), joins me to discuss the tension strong friends face when their care crosses into enabling—and how we can recognize the signs in ourselves and in others. Together, we talk about:

✨ The difference between helping and enabling (and why intent isn’t the same as impact) ✨ The roles accountability and boundaries play in helping without enabling ✨ Why strong women must learn to let others in, embracing humanity instead of superhero status ✨ How to support the strong friends in your life with practical questions, real listening, and intentional presence

If you’ve ever been the “go-to” friend who feels the weight of everyone else’s needs—or if you love someone who carries that weight—you won’t want to miss this conversation.

Latasha Kennedy is a visionary entrepreneur, award-winning filmmaker, and the founder of Girlfriends Thriving—a community that helps women break free from limiting beliefs and step into lives of purpose, fulfillment, and abundance. 80 | The "Strong Friend" Unmasked: Vulnerability, Baggage, Burnout, and Freedom with Latasha Kennedy16 Sep 202500:22:59

The Strong Friend Unmasked

Are you the “strong friend” in your circle? The one who always shows up, holds everything together, and carries the weight of everyone else’s struggles? While being dependable and supportive is a gift, it can also come with a hidden cost—frustration, resentment, loneliness, stress, and even physical symptoms like panic attacks and high blood pressure.

In this episode of The Friendship Tour, I continue The Strong Friend Series with Part 2: The Strong Friend Unmasked.

Here, we discuss: ✨ What makes it difficult for the “strong friend” to show vulnerabilities ✨ The unspoken baggage we often carry ✨ How burnout shows up when you’re always the “go-to” person ✨ Why we are not superheroes—and why that truth matters for our health and friendships ✨ Latasha’s powerful personal story of letting go of the “superhero cape” and finding true freedom

If you’ve ever felt like the reliable one - the “strong wife,” “strong sister,” or the “strong friend,” this conversation will remind you that strength doesn’t mean carrying everything alone.

78 | SELAH: A Time to Pause, Reflect, and Recharge Your Life and Friendships02 Sep 202500:03:50

SELAH: A time to pause, reflect, and recharge your life and friendships. Sometimes the best thing we can do for our ourselves—and our friendships—is to pause. In this short episode of The Friendship Tour, Cecelia shares how the word Selah (found in the Psalms and beautifully echoed in Forrest Frank’s song) reminds us to stop, breathe, and reflect.

She opens up about taking her own little “Selah” to rest and recharge, and offers gentle encouragement for you to do the same. Whether it’s through a quiet walk, a cup of tea, or a moment with God, pausing can help us become better women and better friends.

✨ The Friendship Tour will be back with a full episode next week. In the meantime, here are some friendship-inspired listening options:

70 | Does She Really Want to be Your Friend? The Truth About Breadcrumbing in Female Friendships15 Jul 202500:10:34

Have you ever met someone who seemed excited to connect—but every time you reached out, they were “too busy”? Or maybe you’ve found yourself overpromising on a friendship you couldn’t follow through on. If so, you’ve likely experienced (or unknowingly done) a little breadcrumbing.

In this episode of The Friendship Tour, I share a personal story that introduced me to the concept of breadcrumbing in female friendships—and why it matters more than we think.

In this episode, I also cover:

  1. What Is Breadcrumbing in Friendship? When someone gives small signals of interest (“Let’s get coffee soon!”) without any follow-through.

  2. What ISN’T Breadcrumbing? Real life happens! There’s a difference between being genuinely busy and consistently unavailable.

  3. Why Is Breadcrumbing a Big Deal? It creates confusion, mixed signals, and emotional wear-and-tear. We start questioning ourselves instead of the situation.

  4. How to Respond to Breadcrumbing Learn practical, kind ways to protect your peace and set clear boundaries—without bitterness.

💡 Key Insight: Most of us have both breadcrumbed and been breadcrumbed. Often, it’s not malicious—it comes from people-pleasing, discomfort with honesty, or simply trying to “be nice.” But friendship deserves more than polite signals and false starts. It deserves honesty, clarity, and consideration.

69 | Is Social Media Stealing Your Confidence? The Comparison Trap That’s Hurting Female Friendships – with Val Walker08 Jul 202500:11:44

In this follow-up to our episode, Why Am I All Alone?, author and rehabilitation consultant, Val Walker returns for a powerful conversation about the hidden ways social media shapes our confidence and friendships—especially for women navigating adult connection.

With hundreds of online “friends,” why do so many of us still feel alone? Why does a single unanswered message or unliked post feel so personal? And how do comparison and online validation impact how we show up offline?

🎧 In this thoughtful and honest episode, Val and I explore:

  • The link between social media and self-esteem
  • How the comparison trap chips away at confidence
  • How social media discourages real-life connection and vulnerability

You’ll also hear Val explain what it’s like to feel unseen online—and how we can start reclaiming connection beyond the screen.

60 | Why Vulnerability Feels So Risky — and Why It’s So Worth It In Female Friendships - featuring Mia Overton Smith03 Jun 202500:16:10

In this episode of The Friendship Tour, we get real about vulnerability — what it means, why it’s terrifying, and why it’s absolutely essential for deep, lasting friendships.

I share a personal story about opening up to Mia during my journey with infertility, and how her response showed me what true friendship looks like in times of pain and uncertainty. Her words offered more than comfort and understanding — they offered hope and a path forward.

We also talk about the deeper truth of vulnerability: it's not just sharing a story or a struggle — it's letting yourself be seen for who you really are. And that can be scary. Because if people see the real you and walk away, it hurts in a very real way.

But here’s the flip side: if someone sees the real you and stays — listens, embraces, supports — that’s when friendship deepens. That’s when connection gets real.

We explore why vulnerability isn’t weakness — it’s courage. It’s how you find your people. And if someone rejects the real you? That tells you everything you need to know. This episode is for anyone who’s ever wondered if they’re too much, not enough, or just afraid to let the mask drop. We’re here to say: it’s worth the risk. Want to Connect Between Episodes? 1. As a group, we recently explored four questions: ✨ Are you team “No New Friends”—or do you stay open to new connections? 📝 What’s one piece of friendship advice you’d give your younger self? 💔 Have you ever ended a friendship, and if so, what led to that decision? 👩‍👧‍👦 What’s your personal definition of a “mom friend”?

Whether you're navigating evolving friendships, craving deeper connections, or just love hearing honest reflections, this episode is for you.
