Episode #104 - HangCon 2026 ( Live at the event )
samedi 31 janvier 2026 • Duration 36:46
This episode of The Hammock Hangers Podcast was recorded live at HangCon 2026, and it delivered exactly what you'd expect from a live audience and zero filter.
Skunkape and Pheonix took the stage to answer questions submitted by HangCon guests, covering a wide range of topics—and stirring up a little trouble along the way. Skunkape once again tried to get Pheonix in hot water by pushing him to reveal just how much money he's spent on gear over the past several years. Some questions are dangerous for a reason.
Not to be outdone, both Skunkape and Pheonix managed to land themselves in even more trouble by initially failing to give proper credit where it was due. A much-deserved shoutout goes to Deanna and Dawn for the incredible amount of work, dedication, and sacrifices they make to help put HangCon together year after year.
This episode is full of live-crowd energy, laughs, honest moments, and a reminder that HangCon wouldn't be what it is without the support behind the scenes.

This week we have Dan McNeill from MCN Hammocks join us on the podcast. Dan has been camping and spending most of his time in the woods since the 70's. He has done tent camping, tarp camping, bushcraft and has had lots of survival training and experiences. With the eagerness to learn new things, coupled with injuries making it hard to sleep on the ground, he dove into hammock camping in 2017. Shortly after that he began makin his own gear and also getting request from others for him to make theirs as well. So in April of 2019, MCN Hammocks was born.

Episode #94 - Jackson Busch (Madison River Outdoors)
vendredi 2 mai 2025 • Duration 47:19
In this solo episode, Pheonix sits down with Jackson Busch, the creative mind behind Madison River Outdoors, to talk about a game-changing new hammock design that's shaking up the world of hammock camping. Unlike traditional hammocks that rely on an underquilt for insulation, Jackson's design features an integrated air mattress system built right into the hammock itself.
Pheonix dives deep with Jackson to learn how he came up with the concept, what inspired this innovation, and where he sees both the hammock and Madison River Outdoors heading in the future. Whether you're a seasoned hanger or just hammock-curious, this episode is packed with insight and excitement about what's coming next in the hammock world.
🎯 Heads up! The Kickstarter for this innovative hammock is expected to launch late June or early July, so keep an eye out and be ready to support this unique project!
