Our Mo’s made it all the way to the final of the Premier 15s with her Gloucester-Hartpury side, so as a treat, Katy Daley-McLean’s come all the way down from Manchester to join her besties, to review two spectacular semis & look ahead to the big final at Kingsholm. As the first ever profoundly deaf gladiator & England rugby international, there’s very little that’s run of the mill about Jodie’s life. They chat about her impressive campaign to raise awareness about what deaf people are capable of and Elma manages to get to the very end of the episode before exploding into a conversation about Jodie’s parents’ hotel for cats. That’s right, a hotel… for cats. If that wasn’t enough unexpected content, Elma also managed to surprise Scaz & Mo with something very special...

Scaz & Mo are in charge this week - without Elma. So they’ve invited their old friend, Vicky Fleetwood over to chat about her very recent retirement. Scaz & Fleeto first started playing together aged 15, when Vicky joined Leicester Forest (East). The pair travelled to uni together and then to Lichfield… so there’s glory days both on and off the pitch to relive, on top of stories from World Cups and Commonwealth Games. This week Elma’s said ‘toodlepip’ to Scaz & Mo, as she’s crossed the Severn Bridge to the beating heart of Welsh Rugby, somewhere two Red Roses would not be welcomed with open arms - especially not ahead of a Wales England match up in the Six Nations… Head Coach Ioan Cunningham shows Elma around the Elite Training Centre at The Vale Resort, where both Welsh international sides call home. She gets a behind the scenes look at all the state of the art facilities including the cryo chamber, the judo zone, and the team room to see where Wales have built their first couple of victories in the Six Nations. Scrum half, Ffion Lewis, hooker Kelsey Jones & centre Kerin Lake also drop by for a chat in Elma’s makeshift studio on the indoor pitch to spill all the tea about life in camp, the girls’ journey to the big time, and the Welsh passion for singing.

She may not have lifted the World Cup last year, but her words after the final (and everything she’s given the game before and since) have lifted a nation, so join Scaz, Mo & Elma to say ‘toodle-pip’ & ‘cheerio’ to the woman of the moment; Sarah Hunter. She made it down from her ‘Leaving Do’ in Newcastle (AKA England Vs Scotland) to have a chin wag with two of her oldest pals. Mo struggles to find the words to describe Sunter, or much else for that matter, for the entire 80 minutes and Hannah Botterman’s attempt to not be the centre of attention is given a whole lot of air time. They discuss all things pregnancy and motherhood with the Red Rose who will be the first player in the professional age to have a baby and make use of the RFU’s brand new maternity policy. Abbie shares the details of her ambitious plans to be back on the pitch next autumn and the white lies and acting skills she had to employ at Bristol to ensure her teammates didn’t find out she was pregnant too early on. Abbie’s husband, former Quins player, and her coach at Bristol Bears, Dave Ward also pops in for a chin wag, & Scaz & Abbie share some stories from England Camp where they left Mo… who we’re so glad is back in the squad!

It’s on the cards!!!! A two-year feasibility study has confirmed that the first female British and Irish Lions tour is able to go ahead… We don’t know what it looks like yet, but Elma, Scaz, Mo and legendary Irish back row, Claire Molloy take a run up at what they’d like to see. Elma (the smuggler) regales the team with tales of her time embedded with the Springboks during the last Lions tour and Claire gives the girls an insight into her job as an A&E doctor with descriptions of some of the strangest injuries she’s treated in between scoring tries and getting turnovers for Bristol Bears. Mo also talks about the heat Gloucester-Hartpury have had on social media since the announcement of the Prem Final at Kingsholm… And somehow with all this to talk about, a shower puff steals the show…

It’s been a huge year on the park for Scottish referee Hollie Davidson, who’s broken glass ceiling after glass ceiling & refereed some of the biggest games in both 7s and 15s - including last years World Cup Final in Aotearoa. She joins the girls to relive the sinking feeling at seeing THAT tackle on the big screen, and they learn about all about Helga, her favourite fan. Mo’s mind is blown by the art of when NOT to blow your whistle, and Hollie also lets us in on what Scaz & Mo are like to referee - one of them’s compared to Scrappy-Doo, can you guess which? And last but by no means least… if you thought referees were all goody two-shoes, Hollie’s insight into their kangaroo court at the end of the Rugby World Cup might make you think again…

Twickenham Stoop is the setting for this week’s show, as Scaz’s World Cup roomie, Amy Cokayne, joins her and Elma for a chinwag. The Harlequins and England hooker became only the third person ever to score a hattrick in a world cup final, was raised in the Land of the Long White Cloud & could’ve been a Black Fern (thank God she moved back home). We hear all about her time in NZ, what Scaz is like to room with and her work as a ​​Flight Lieutenant in the Royal Air Force. The trio are also joined by Scotland and Harlequins number eight and fire fighter, Jade Konkel-Roberts, who’s had a very different World Cup - one that involved visiting every single fire station she could. Sophie de Goede joins Elma, Scaz and Mo to tell her world cup story; a journey of two languages, camaraderie and sacrifice like no other. Three incredible Prem 15s athletes and entrepreneurs join Elma in the studio this week to chat about the way the women’s game is viewed, how important the right kit is and the progressive work they’re all doing off the field. Worcester Warriors’ Stef Evans, founder of women’s kit and apparel company Ruggette RFC, Harlequins’ Emma Swords, founder of headwear company BONCEE & Wasps’ Flo WIlliams, founder of sports marketing company, The Perception Agency & now working for MATTA, take the perception of the game to task. They debate kit provision, male allyship (and the James Haskell storm), gratefulness and coverage of the women’s game; and all make a case for the marketability of the sport and the individuals in it.

Fee Pocock drops in for a chat with Elma, Scaz and Mo this week. A broken knee, PTSD and an ACL injury plagued Fee’s remarkable England career, so now, motivated by the change she needed in the women’s game, she makes space for female athletes to learn about strength and conditioning and mental health through her coaching business. The girls pick Fee’s brains on training and the menstrual cycle and share their own period struggles.
