In this episode of The Good Steward Podcast, we will discuss the Parable of the Lost Son from Luke 15:11-24. The parable serves as a reminder of God's love, mercy, and compassion, even for those who feel lost and unworthy. In this episode, the focus scripture is the parable of the talents. The parable reminds believers that the Lord has entrusted them with gifts and talents; their role is to recognize and use them. The parable in Matthew 25:14-30 teaches about the importance of utilizing our talents and being faithful to what God has entrusted to us. The master in the parable entrusts his wealth to his servants according to their abilities, expecting a return on his investment. This parable highlights the reward of faithfulness and the consequences of being unfaithful.

The master returns after a long time to evaluate the performance of his servants. The servant who received five bags of gold brings back five more, and the master commends him for his faithfulness. The master then puts him in charge of many things. The servant's response shows that he recognized the opportunities given to him by the master and worked diligently to make a profit. The master is pleased with his servant's performance. In this part of the conversation, the third servant is introduced to the importance of faithfulness in managing the things entrusted to us. He is given one bag of gold to manage, but he hides it in the ground instead of investing it or putting it to work. When the master returns, the servant returns the bag of gold, but without any profit.

The master is disappointed and calls the servant wicked and lazy. This story highlights the importance of using and multiplying the resources we are given. The third servant in the parable of the Talents represents fear and a false perspective of the master. He was afraid to put himself out there and take risks. As believers, we are entrusted with gifts, talents, and resources from the Lord and cannot live idle lives. We must not shy away from using what has been given to us and making a profit. The third servant's fear prevented him from taking action and making the most of what he was entrusted with. The final part of the conversation focuses on the importance of trust and faithfulness in using the resources and talents entrusted to us by God. It emphasizes the need to trust God and recognize that He examines how we use what He gives us.

The conversation ends with a challenge to evaluate our response when God entrusts us with gifts and resources and to take a step of faith in using them.

In Matthew 8:18-22, Jesus talks about the cost of following him. He explains that following him requires sacrifice and commitment and may not be an easy journey. In fact, Jesus says that foxes have holes and birds have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay his head. Essentially, he is saying that following him means giving up the comforts and security of this world. He also tells a man who wants to follow him to let the dead bury their own dead, emphasizing that following him takes priority over even the most essential family obligations. Overall, Jesus is making it clear that following him is not a decision to be taken lightly but rather a commitment that requires a willingness to let go of everything else. In this episode, I am going to be a bit vulnerable. As a Christian Podcast host, I must be honest with you all regarding the challenges and struggles I am going through. But in the midst of these hardships, I still rejoice and look forward to what is ahead.

Men of God, it is indeed time to pursue righteousness. The story of Noah and the Ark teaches us the importance of obeying God and living a life of righteousness, even when it's not popular or easy. Let's follow Noah's example and seek God's guidance in all we do.

There are few spaces where Christian, single men talk about preparing for marriage. So, here in the Good Steward Podcast, I want to share insight into how the Lord God prepares and positions men for marriage. In Genesis 2, God provides a model for preparing and positioning men for marriage. First, God presents Himself as "Lord God." implying an established relationship between man and Him (Genesis 2:4). He then recognizes man's need for a companion (verse 18). Then, He presents him with the opportunity to name the animals, allowing him to explore his identity and purpose (verses 19-20). Finally, God creates a woman from man's rib, highlighting the importance of unity and partnership in marriage (verses 21-24). Through these actions, the Lord God sets the stage for a healthy and fulfilling marital relationship based on companionship, self-awareness, and mutual respect.

In Philippians 3, Paul the Apostle addresses the Judaziers’ false teachings. Instead of fighting against the Judaziers, he focuses on knowing Christ in the midst of being in chains. Paul is willing to put his credentials and accomplishments aside and strive towards the “goal” of winning the prize for which God has called him. Press On is my word for #2024. I have nothing to prove or to “flex.” We may fall into the trap of that mindset as we step into the new year. However, I am willing to forget the former things behind me, be like Christ, and move on to a life of obedience for His glory.

Just like a father or father-like figure, they are responsible for teaching their son or mentee all they know, for they have more life experience. They share pitfalls and insights on handling the ebbs and flows in life. This is what exactly Paul the Apostle did in writing 2 Timothy. Facing imminent death, Paul writes to Timothy, a young pastor in Ephesus. In this letter, Paul shares insight and empowers Timothy on how to preserve, teach, and suffer for the Gospel in the midst of false teaching and suffering.Today, we will examine 2 Timothy 2:15 as the core Scripture on how a young man can be prepared to teach the Gospel. In this Scripture reference, Paul urges Timothy to present himself to God as an approved worker who is not ashamed of the Gospel and correctly handles the truth. Testing and preparing yourself to preach while upholding integrity and pursuing a life of holiness is the call of action to prepare to preach the Gospel. Teaching/ Preaching the Word of God requires a serious moral and relational obligation where obedience and discipline are necessary. Why does that matter? Because Teachers of the law will be judged strictly (James 3:1). Also, Jesus is concerned with the form of teaching the Gospel and one's conduct (Matthew 23:1-33) - The Seven Woes of False Teachers / Pharisees. These Scriptures empower us to examine ourselves and to remain on the straight, narrow path of holiness and godliness. So, if you want to preach, consider the takeaways of this episode.

After Jesus was baptized, He was led by the Holy Spirit to be tempted/tested in the wilderness. Today's episode aims to learn why Jesus fasted 40 days in the wilderness. Also, we will learn about Jesus' humility and how this moment can apply to our lives during everyday lives or dealing with temptation.

When Jesus walked on water in Matthew 14, I believe this was a turning point for Jesus' disciples as they viewed him. Because of this event, the disciples finally called Jesus the Son of God. They now believed that Jesus is the Son of God even though He performed miracles beyond humans' comprehension. The disciples completely missed who Jesus indeed was and overlooked His divinity. The episode encourages us to see Jesus as our Lord.

Adversity is challenging to deal with and overcome. Sometimes when adversity becomes too much to bear, the immediate response is to curl up in a ball and doubt. Some of us may even consider giving up on our calling. Some of us may want to end our life. In the case of Elijah, he experienced this wave of emotions. When he experienced adversity, he isolated himself, curled up in a ball, and wanted to give up on his life. In this episode, we will read 1 Kings 19:1-18, where Elijah ran from times of peril and wanted to give up on the call. This episode aims to use Elijah's moment of giving up as inspiration to get back up.

At The Good Steward Podcast, we will introduce the Defining Moment series. The Defining Moment series will be a series of episodes where we will examine stories/accounts of individuals from the Bible. When we look into the defining moments of people from the Bible, we learn the beautiful redemptive plan God has set for humanity. Also, within those details of these stories, we know more about God. And finally, when examining these stories, these individuals' stories resonate with our lives because God used everyday people like you and me for His glory. Today, we will examine the events leading to the battle between David vs. Goliath. God prepared David, a shepherd boy, and a gifted musician, privately for an opportunity to be the next king of Israel. God developed and shaped David's character to be faithful in everyday life tasks, and we will learn how faithfulness opens the doors of opportunity.

Since then, I have made so many major decisions in my life. In this episode, I will share with you my decision to be healthy.I desire to be healthy emotionally, spiritually, and physically and allow Jesus to work in me so I can walk in the fullness of God. For so long, I have struggled with where I am positionally in Christ Jesus. I am seeking a shift in how I think about life, myself, and to be whole in Jesus.

I recently turned 26 years old on March 12th. To be transparent, my birthday was the day that I anticipated the least because I was either depressed or I just did not think highly of that day. However, God revealed three moments that will change my life forever.

Hello Everybody! Welcome to the Good Steward Podcast. My name is Dietric Wing-Paul. I am the appointed servant of the Good Steward organization. In this episode, I shared my hobbies and interests, how the Good Steward came about, and the focus on the podcast.

My hobbies and interests are:

• Teaching the Word of God
• Playing the electric guitar for my church's praise and worship band
• Taking long walks Mentoring and connecting with the youth through video games @RahkimTyson

The Good Steward came about around 2022 when I discovered my gift for teaching the Word of God as a youth leader. We covered a weekly discussion called "Fruit Pursuit." The Fruit Pursuit focuses on each attribute of the fruit of the Spirit shown in Galatians 5:22-23. From covering joy and self-control, I remember reaching a level of vulnerability through the Holy Spirit to create a space where we all worship God in both sessions. After each session, members of the body shared that I have a gift for teaching the Word of God.

Another defining moment that led the Good Steward was reading the Parable of Talents (Matthew 25:14–30; Luke 19:11–27). Correction: In the video, I said it is shown in Mark. Please forgive me for my error. From reading the Parable of the Talents, I received a revelation on stewardship. God owns it all, and our responsibility is to manage the things He has given us (time, money, jobs, relationships, etc.) well.

So what is the Good Steward about? It is a platform where one experiences a deeper level of reading God's word. The aim is to take delight in reading God's word.
