Jake Plummer has a major name here in the treasure valley of Idaho, as he's a Capital High School legend! Growing up in this area, we often heard his name thrown around, which is why this is such an awesome interview for me, years later, on this platform! On today's episode, Jake will chat with us about his upbringing and how important being 'active' was for him in regards to all the sports he competed in. He was ALWAYS outside doing something, which is a lost art in today's world it appears.

What about the Nebraska game that really took that team on an upward trajectory and sort of (in a sense) de-railed Nebraska as a whole haha. What was the biggest transition to the college level? 

Of course we'll talk in-depth about his professional career! What was it like playing the game as a professional. What was the grind like? Favorite memories? We have a discussion on the playbook as well and how to handle different styles of coaching while being a team player.

For the first time in history, we are diving into the world of Supercross and learning the ins and outs of the racing world, with one of the best to do it, Christian Craig. 

We're going to discuss the adversity that Christian has faced throughout his career, and how he's been able to bounce back from that. Even since this interview was conducted, Christian suffered a pretty extensive injury which required surgery to fix it, so once again, he's battling some adversity in his career with this sport. It's a VERY dangerous sport to compete in! 

We'll chat about the intricacies of the sport, the differences in the types of bikes he's racing now compared to before. We'll chat about the preparation it takes to get ready for his races and how he stays dialed in and everything. 

This is a phenomenal opportunity to learn more about the sport itself, as well as understand what it's like to be a racer. It's very taxing. You have to find ways to keep yourself locked in while you're traveling with everyone throughout the whole season, and you have to have fun with it at the same time.

Eugene Campbell III didn't take the 'traditional' route to the professional game, but his route was unique and required a TON of dedication and hard work. In fact, Eugene didn't really truly care about his basketball career until the very end of his high school season, his SENIOR YEAR!! 

From going to a JUCO (Junior College), to fighting his way into the roster and getting minutes, to going D3 and having to work his way the last two years to getting as much playing time as he could, to being a graduate assistant and learning the importance of putting work in the gym and film room, to now playing overseas, Eugene knows a lot about the sport. 

His story is inspiring and my hope is that the athletes who listen, will be able to learn a thing or two. Just because your route or journey may look different than someone else's, doesn't mean you can't make it happen. So keep going and working on your craft, and you can achieve whatever you want!

From having everything, to losing it all, to now making it back and sharing his knowledge with the rest of us. 

Mike Gibson is a retired NFL lineman, and now the Director of Community Outreach at The Mental Health Center of San Diego and Healthy Life Recovery. (mhcsandiego.com ) 

In our interview, Mike will be chatting with us regarding his football career. The ups and downs. The Junior College to D1 route he took. What he learned through that process, and what the transitions were like from JUCO to D1, and then we will also learn of the transition to the NFL where Mike played for 6 years. 

In Mike's third year in the NFL, he suffered an injury that required a big recovery. This is when Mike's story took a turn as he became addicted to pain killers. This addiction continued to get worse and worse, as his body became chemically dependent on some of these substances and he found himself in a downward spiral that continued not only through the remainder of his NFL career, but after he retired from the game as well. 

This is a story of addiction, of perserverance, of recovery, and redemption!

It also goes to show that it can truly happen to anyone at any moment, so it's wise to become familiar with the situation and with Mike's story as it has the potential to help thousands of listeners out there!

Amun is a new fighter in the UFL (United Fight League) which we learned about in a few episodes back with Harrison Rogers, but he's not new to the fight game altogether. What an incredible opportunity we have today to hear from Division 1 Lacrosse Player, from the University of Pittsburgh, Kiara Feibusch.

We've talked on the show about the sport of American Football, and how it's odd that with it being such a major sport in the United States, there historically hasn't been a lot of opportunities to play at the professional level outside of the NFL. Until the last few years however when other organizations such as the AAF, XFL, and even FCF, as well as now the newly formed USFL, have come into play to help give football players a chance to play high level football at the next level. 

Darnell Leslie had a chance to play in the NFL with a few teams such as the Cowboys and the Steelers, and he also was able to play in the AAF and the XFL too. Today he'll share his experiences in each of those leagues and why he believed they were great for his development in the sport of football. When he was younger, Dr. Chase Faldmo was just like many of us young athletes, he was into all sorts of sports, with aspirations of playing at the next level. 

While he was in high school though, a reaction to his pain medications created a crazy downhill spiral of health issues, that ultimately led to him having to give up his athletic journey as he pursued his health and recovery. 

Through that journey of recovering, Dr. Faldmo found himself going through the route of health care as a profession. And today, he's here to educate others on the way the body reacts to toxins and other harmful things.

His first love was basketball. In fact, he came to the United States from the Middle East, to pursue his dreams of competing on the hard wood for years to come. It was shortly after arriving here though, that his dreams and goals hit a bump in the road. 

 

Hear about what happened to Johnny Kousa when his dreams shifted after being cut from the basketball team in his high school. Thirty-Two Years!! Yes, 32 years is how long Mike Westhoff spent as a coach in the NFL. He was well known for his time as a Special Teams Coach as he revolutionized the whole concept of Special Teams in the league.
