Exploring THE Spiritual Art (For Your Closure)
Why did I begin the Free to be Show?
What makes you feel that are not free to exist?
For the final episode of my podcast, I am speaking freely about the most normalized form of narcissistic abuse and how you alchemize it.
When you experience narcissistic abuse your personality splits into your authentic self and your representative, your mask. It is clinically called Dissociative identity disorder (DID), previously known as multiple personality disorder, is a complex psychological condition caused by many things. These include severe trauma during early childhood (usually extreme, repetitive physical, sexual, or emotional abuse). It's also known as split personality disorder. Reference
Interestingly there exists a normalized version of this that may lead to a mental health issue over time for BIPOC in general but especially Black women. The first capture of this phenomenon was in the 1903 book, “The Souls of Black Folk,” written by the late civil rights leader W.E.B. DuBois spoke about Black people surviving by highlighting the need for Black Americans to recognize their double-consciousness, or the two parts of their identity: their Blackness and their “Americanness” — or how they were viewed by white Americans. DuBois talked about double-consciousness, and that’s what code-switching is now,” Dr. Barlow adds. “You had to, for your survival, exhibit that double-consciousness.” Reference Jodi Ann Burrey talks about showing up as your “authentic self” at work as a Black woman is the same as not wearing a custom to a Halloween party in her TED talk The Myth of bringing your full authentic self to work.
This is the beginning of generational trauma or taught imposter syndrome. Because you are always proving to the world that you are someone you are not. And I say all of this to say that the greatest form of narcissistic abuse that occurs is institutionalized racism. Although the “official” dots have not been connected in the American Psychological Association publication created on September 1, 2021 and last updated January 24, 2023 Psychologists are working to develop more effective ways of promoting Black men’s mental health
“Being a black man in America means being my brother’s keeper. Being a black man in America means being my brother’s keeper while keeping a distance from my brother because I don’t trust him further than I can see him. It’s believing the cops don’t care about you. It’s learning how not to doubt yourself because when you’re born everyone else already does.”
—Poet Prentice Powell, written following the fatal police shooting of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri, in 2014
“We should place less emphasis on whether Black men are resistant to therapy,” said Stevenson, “and more on understanding the contexts in which they already feel comfortable talking about their feelings and traumas. If a Black man is able to find a treatment that is culturally responsive, that he understands, and that embraces the uniqueness of his difference, he is more likely to use that service.”
And my work is to heal the souls of Black women because they are the pillars of society, the Black crumbling family. As you can see it is a cellular recalibration that has to...

How Your Sexuality Can Heal You
Season 1 · Episode 8
lundi 29 mars 2021 • Duration 55:58
Previously published on the Life Coach Radio Network and Replenish Me Show 9/12/2018
We all have a role to play. We all came out of the earth, however way you want to see it, for a divine reason. Our lives are more than just about us, and the relatively small perspective that most of us choose to take on on a daily basis. Many women are living half lives, half expressed, half baked. So many women are suppressing themselves now! It is time for women to allow themselves to really blossom. Trees and flowers never stop themselves from growing, they become ridiculously tall or bushy or wildly colourful and flamboyant. So too should women grow and bloom. Whether into great Oak trees or Daisys. Whether you serve to add beauty or to be the bridge to a greater understanding.
The healing begins with our perspective of sexuality. We will dive into how It is the worldly expression of our spiritual existence.

Season 1 · Episode 7

This is an episode from my previous show called Replenish Me on the Life Coach Radio Network.
Carolyn Freyer-Jones has been coaching men and women in creating greater success, joy, and fulfillment for over fifteen years. Her coaching work emerged as a result of the value I received from the Master’s Degree Program in Spiritual Psychology at the University of Santa Monica.
Swinging from intense inadequacy in her relationships to being controlling, she dove deep into spiritual perspective, a deeper connection to Self, and to purpose.
She discovered the perceptions and beliefs that her mother, father and two brothers did not love her (or not in the way I thought they should) were slowly dismantled. The pain transformed into Self-compassion, gentleness and a more loving, open-hearted and supportive way of being.
After the birth of her daughter, Lucinda in 2008, she started to have a vision for what a life of full-time coaching could look like and how it could allow me to have a more flexible schedule where my work time could be built around my daughter’s life
In November of 2010, she launched her full-time coaching practice. Within Soul-Centered Professional Coaching Program at the University of Santa Monica and had the privilege of developing the University of Santa Monica’s Soul-Centered Professional Coaching Program with Drs. Ron and Mary Hulnick, Steve Chandler, Michelle Bauman, and Stephen McGhee, and I was one of the lead faculty members for the Program for 3 years.
She has now launched CFJ Coaching Success School My husband, John and I have been married for over 20 years. One of our favorite things to do is to spend time with our 10 year old daughter Lucinda, laugh, avoid cleaning the house, travel, and drink coffee.

Season 2 · Episode 16

Here are some highlights to listen for:
- Listen for roots of deconstructing the psyche of a people
- Monetizing blackness
- How the healing can begin
He is the author of six published history books, two of which are best sellers. He has received numerous writers awards, including "The Nat Turner Book Of The Year Award", at the Nat Turner Library in South Hampton, VA. He is also a highly sought after lecturer at numerous universities including Howard University, and NC State.
Mr. Jordan’s journey began as a child seeking the closest neighborhood library. Back in 1989 some great mentors at the Israelite Hebrew school piqued his interest in fascinating unmentioned history. This experience changed his worldview and self-perception. Through his research he discovered that Black history grossly misrepresented and made it his life’s work to not traditionalize himself with the “American” way. It also began his journey to spiritually disconnect from the public school taught him and opened his mind to understanding.
You can get copies of his books on Amazon.com. Frank Zaaqan Jordan
