Tape 1: Undated - "LISTEN FIRST"

Whilst sorting through the belongings of their recently deceased cousin, college student Beau Walton discovers a box of cassette tapes hidden in the corner of the attic, seemingly containing the final, rambling records of a stranger from over fifty years prior, and bearing the simple message: "Keep Them Safe".

Snowed-in in the unfamiliar house, without electricity or connection to the outside world, Beau begins recording their thoughts to sooth their nerves, as they uncovers the mysterious life of Victor Frankenstein...

Episode 1.01: "LISTEN FIRST" releases February 1st, 2025.

Trapped in the empty home of their recently deceased cousin, the snowed-in Beau Walton finds themselves unwillingly embroiled in the mysterious circumstances regarding the recorded audio files left behind by the enigmatic Victor Frankenstein almost fifty years earlier, and the destruction left in the wake of the creature he created...

The Frankenstein Files is a bi-weekly mystery horror audio drama, based on the novel by Mary Shelley.

Whilst Victor gets a surprise visitor as he prepares to leave for college and says his goodbyes to loved ones, Beau sets about finding a generator to return power to the house, and uncovers another collection of pieces to the mystery around him.

Tape 2: "8/21/1969"

With no way of leaving due to the snowstorm, Beau begins listening through the collected tapes at the earliest date recorded, in an attempt to piece together who Victor Frankenstein was, and what led to the unsettling events of the previous recording. The tape, however, provides a view into a much more sentimental and domestic moment in the stranger's life...

Victor finds himself out of his element when it comes to settling into his college dorm and adjusting to the presence of his roommate, immersing himself in his studies to cope with the change in environment. Beau pieces together more of Percy's interests and their connections to the tapes, only to find themselves questioning which pieces are relevant to the puzzle they’ve found themselves part of.

Beau reminisces on the beauty of the landscape around them, despite the disastrous circumstances, and becomes increasingly concerned as the tapes slowly spiral further into the unusual and macabre. Victor presses his substitute lecturer for thoughts on alchemical possibilities, and the potential of using modern science to stave off decay, and prevent death...
