250 - Slaughtered Vomit Dolls (2006) Review11 Feb 202501:02:39

The horrific blend of hallucinations that follow a missing bulimic stripper and prostitute.

Slaughtered Vomit Dolls, if possible, was actually harder to watch than expected. We've heard about this movie in the past and have referenced it several times on the podcast. It only made sense to finally discuss this film on Fucked Up February, but it was not easy to watch for a variety of different reasons. Watch the movie and catch our review.

249 - Men Behind the Sun (1988) Review03 Feb 202500:48:05

Lt. General Shiro Ishii and the Japanese troops in Unit 731, torture Chinese and Russian prisoners of war with bacterial and biological weapons in the Manchu area of Japan.

Fucked Up February is here! The 4th annual month of the year where we discuss the most disturbing movies out there. Men Behind the Sun is the first film of fucked up movies we're reviewing this year and it's even more disturbing than we remember. A movie that has some historical accuracy and depicts the horrors that occurred to Chinese and Russian prisoners of war by Unit 731. The film pulls no punches, and the grotesque realism displayed makes it hard to watch. Watch the movie and catch our review.

240 - Gingerdead Man 2: Passion of the Crust (2008) Review02 Dec 202400:57:09

The evil cookie killer, The Gingerdead Man, returns to a film studio to continue his murderous rampage.

The Gingerdead Man 2: Passion of the Crust is quite the sequel to The Gingerdead Man. With very loose story continuity from the first move, this film may be even more outrageous than the previous film. It takes place in a film studio with a set of crazy characters who are terrorized by a killer gingerbread cookie. The story writes itself and although the movie may not make any sense, it's hard to stop watching. Watch the movie and catch our review.

Final Friday: The Crooked Man (2016)04 Nov 202300:29:44

Upon returning to her hometown after 6 years following the death of her friend that many believe she responsible for, Olivia believes the recent murders are the effort of a supernatural force from her childhood.

The Crooked Man greatly surprised us. When watching, we assumed we were getting a stupid supernatural horror cliche. However, it was a fun movie that added a creepy entity with interesting lore and an engaging story to follow. Of course, there are some questionable pieces of the movie that need to be called out. For instance, why does the entity glitch or why is Michael Jae White throwing rocks? In any case, the movie was better than expected and we enjoyed discussing it. 183 - Hellraiser (1987) Review30 Oct 202300:51:24

A woman discovers her dead brother-in-law come back to life as a bloody, skeletal form and honors a request to help rejuvenate his body in order to escape the demonic entities who are after him.

Hellraiser is the final movie we are reviewing in Spooky Season and it is long overdue. The Clive Barker classic still holds up today as an excellent horror movie featuring great practical effects and creepy characters. This film provided viewers who were used to the likes of Jason, Michael, and Freddy with a completely different experience, showing that ultimate pleasure comes with a cost. Scott "Huckman" joins us this episode to discuss Hellraiser and close out Spooky Season. Watch the movie and catch our review.

Final Friday: Double Down (2005)27 Oct 202300:15:55

A tech-savvy loner seizes the Las Vegas strip while trying to maintain a grip on his sanity combating loss and grief.

Double Down is what we soon believe will be the first of many Neil Breen films on the podcast. Utterly shocked by the on-screen viewing, we didn't know whether to hail this man as brilliant or to chalk it all up to madness. In any case, it was special and that's probably all we can say. 182 - Terrifier 2 (2022) Review23 Oct 202300:45:34

Art the Clown comes back from the dead, welcoming an evil entity, and returns to Miles County. He picks up his reign of terror as he targets a teenage girl and her younger brother.

Terrifier 2 is a much different type of horror movie than the first and it appears to have audiences divided. The movie adds a fantasy element and attempts to develop Art through the family history of a young girl, her brother, and widowed mother. It also has Art come face to face with who appears to be his first victim. We can all agree the film is just as gory as fans would hope to see, but the style is very different. Our good friend Kaitlyn hops on the podcast to discuss Terrifier 2. Does the movie live up to its predecessor?  Watch the movie and catch our review.

Final Friday: Slotherhouse (2023)20 Oct 202300:24:43

Emily wants to be the head of her sorority. In order to accomplish this, she adopts a sloth as the sorority mascot to win over her sisters, however, this mascot is a murderer.

We love exotic animals especially sloths! As soon as we heard a killer sloth movie was coming out, we had to discuss it as soon as possible. Slotherhouse has so much promise, but will it live up to the hype? Our good friend, Kaitlyn, hops on the podcast to talk about this killer sloth. Watch the movie and catch our review.

181 - Hatchet II (2010) Review16 Oct 202300:52:09

Marybeth returns to the swamp with an army of hunters ready to kill Victory Crowley and end the curse he has on the swamp for good.

Hatchet II is a nice follow-up to the bloody fun first movie. It may be a mindless slasher movie, but the kills are crazy, the characters are wild, and the movie stars Danielle Harris; what more can you ask for?

Final Friday: Loqueesha (2019)13 Oct 202300:25:51

Joe, a divorced bartender, is quite good at giving advice to people asking for it. What better way for him to hone his craft than becoming a black female radio host named Loqueesha.

Loqueesha is considered a controversial movie, maybe because it's about a white bartender posing as a black female in order to get a job at a radio station looking for that demographic. We didn't think too much of it, but we also didn't think too much of the movie in general. Watch the movie and catch our review.

180 - Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter (1984) Review09 Oct 202300:36:59

After he's pronounced dead, Jason comes back to life and breaks out of a morgue to head back and stalk a group of friends staying at a house around Crystal Lake.

Jason is back and we are here for it! Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter sees one of our favorite slasher killers resurrect from the dead and come back to the infamous Camp Crystal Lake to kill a bunch of friends having a party near the lake. Little did they know, this lake has a no party rule.

Final Friday: The Package (2012)06 Oct 202300:36:41

In order to repay his brother's debt, a courier for a crime syndicate must deliver a mysterious package. Although the package's value is unknown, it doesn't stop an onslaught of seekers after it.

Dolph Lundgren and Stone Cold Steve Austin star in The Package, which was a very fun watch. Lundgren was incredible in his limited screentime and Steve Austin is a badass as usual. The movies has good action and a story that kept us interested. Watch the movie and catch our review.

179 - Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers (1988) Review02 Oct 202300:45:19

10 years after Michael Myers went on a killing spree in Haddonfield, he returns to kill his young niece.

October is here! Spooky season is upon us and we want to dig into some of the horror slasher classics. In Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers, the evil returns to Haddonfield and although the movie that may disturb the timeline of the series, it's fun, entertaining, and a wild ride. It features a wonky Michael Myers, and angry mob, and Danielle Harris, who puts on a great performance in her first movie. Watch the movie and catch our review.

239 - Thanksgiving (2023) Review28 Nov 202401:14:34

After a massacre on Black Friday, the townspeople of Plymouth, Massachusetts are prey to a killer.

Thanksgiving contains an amazing cast led by Patrick Dempsey that features a mysterious killer who is murdering anyone who was involved in a Black Friday Massacre that occurred one year prior. The film centers around different townspeople in Plymouth, Massachusetts, which is the origin place of the Thanksgiving holiday. The killer dresses as pilgrim John Carver, which is an original slasher idea. The film is a good mystery that makes all the townspeople suspicious of each other and is enjoyable all the way to the end. Watch the movie and catch our review.

Final Friday: The Curse of Robert the Doll (2016)29 Sep 202300:25:16

In the final week of Sequel September on Final Friday, Robert returns, this time he's being featured as an exhibit at a museum, but there's a known rule note to break: don't take a picture with him or else he'll haunt you.

The Curse of Robert the Doll may not be the greatest movie out there, but it surpassed our expectations as the bar was set low from the first film. While this movie has many flaws, it has a certain charm missing from the first movie that adds intrigue and sets up another movie after. Is Robert the next great doll slasher villain? 178 - The Devil's Rejects (2005) Review25 Sep 202300:45:57

In the sequel to House of 1000 Corpses, the Firefly family escapes an ambush from the vengeful Sheriff Wydell at their home and continues their violent ways while escaping the law.

The Devil's Rejects is a much better movie than its predecessor and is one that we really enjoyed growing up, but will it live up to our expectations now that we're older? Regardless of what you think of this movie, the cast of wild and ruthless characters makes it a fun film. Watch the movie and catch our review.

Final Friday: Camp Blood First Slaughter (2014)22 Sep 202300:30:44

Students on a college assignment visit the location of the Camp Blackwood Murders and become victims themselves.

Camp Blood First Slaughter adds a curveball into the timeline of the Camp Blood movies. This installment in the series explores a killer who was killing in the Camp Blackwood woods before the clown. The movie does have some odd filmmaking decisions, which the timing specifically is confusing. In any case, we do love this series and wanted to discuss this movie after reviewing the first 3. 177 - Sleepaway Camp III: Teenage Wasteland (1989) Review19 Sep 202300:33:55

Angela is back at camp, this time under the alias of a young teenage girl she chased down and killed. Camp New Horizons, the new camp built atop the old one, is welcoming several new campers this year, however, one camper starts killing off all the naughty campers one by one.

Sleepaway Camp III: Teenage Wasteland isn't a great movie, but it's a fun installment with great kills and charm. The series is a favorite of ours and although, this is our least favorite Sleepaway Camp movie to this point, we did enjoy some of the crazy kills and characters. Final Friday: Another Wolfcop (2017) 16 Sep 202300:27:27

Woodhaven's Wolfcop, Lou Garou, is back in action when a businessman has evil intentions for his townspeople upon the launch of a new brewery and hockey team.

Another Wolfcop was an absolute delight and a very good sequel to Wolfcop, which is a favorite of ours. All of the characters are full of personality and bring a great charm to a movie filled with jokes and action. We really enjoyed this movie and are hoping for another movie in the series. 176 - Gremlins 2: The New Batch (1990) Review11 Sep 202300:55:16

The fiesty Gremlins are in NYC taking over Clamp's high-tech skyscraper.

Gremlins 2: The New Batch was a fun, enjoyable sequel to the beloved 1984 classic, Gremlins. Much to our surprise, it had hilarious characters and clever anecdotes that really let this movie stand out. While it may not be as good as the first movie, it absolutely was a blast to watch. Although the sequel to Are You Scared?, Are You Scared 2 has no relation to the first movie, which is what completely through us off while watching it. We are so excited to end M. Night Shyamalan month on a high note with The Village. 238 - The Autopsy of Jane Doe (2016) Review18 Nov 202400:50:29

A local coroner team of father and son, investigate the mysterious death surrounding a Jane Doe over one night.

The Autopsy of Jane Doe is led by a cast of Brian Cox and Emile Hirsch, who do an excellent job in this movie investigating the death of a mysterious dead girl. They work off each other so well and as they continue to learn more about their subject, their reactions to the strange occurrences that are happening is very entertaining. With a small cast, this movie shines and continues to get creepier as the film progresses. Watch the movie and catch our review.

In Cry Havoc, the latest installment of the Playing with Dolls series, a reporter interviews the voyeur on his relationship with Havoc while Havoc continues to murder anyone who gets in his way and a detective comes to investigate the murders.

Cry Havoc was an enjoyable film to watch as it was a pleasure to see Robert Bronzi in action. If you like good kills, and gore, this would be a great movie for you. We're hoping for some closure to the series, but for now, we were excited to review this movie. Watch the movie and catch our review.

A favorite of the podcast, Geno McGahee, put on another clinic with Satanic Meat Cleaver Massacre. As fans of his work, we went into this one with high hopes and it delivered that same small town charm with another set of crazy characters. Watch the movie and catch the review.

171 - Knock at the Cabin (2023) Review07 Aug 202300:44:42

A family's cabin vacation is interrupted when 4 strangers arrive, telling them they can prevent the apocalypse by making a decision to kill one of their own.

Knock at the Cabin is M. Night Shyamalan's latest movie and we believe there's no better way to kick off M. Night Shyamalan month than to discuss this film. We really enjoyed this movie as it was a deviation from Shyamalan's normal work which would feature a crazy twist ending. Bautista crushed it as the lead in the movie and really helped set the tone from the beginning for what was such a wild ride. Watch the movie and catch our review.

An old Nazi lab is discovered by a team of geologists deep in the arctic that showed a secret project of creating military-enhanced sharks that can fly.

170 - The Menu (2022) Review01 Aug 202301:10:35

An evening of fine dining at Chef Slowik's prestigious island restaurant turns into a nightmare for a young couple.

The Menu is one of the best horror movies of last year and was such a pleasure to watch from start to finish. It's both dark and hilarious at the same time and the performances from Ralph Fiennes, Anya Taylor-Joy, Nicholas Hoult, among several others are incredible. Our friends, Tim and Nick, hopped on the podcast to discuss this movie. Watch the movie and catch our review.

In Scream 2, another killer in the Ghostface costume has resumed killing 2 years after the Woodsboro murders, all while Sidney is getting used to college life.

Scream 2 is a fun, engaging sequel that may not be as good as its predecessor, but is a very successful film in its own rite with great characters and continues to build on the Ghostface killings. 237 - The Black Phone (2021) Review11 Nov 202401:01:55

When a young boy is kidnapped and locked in a basement, amidst a string of child disappearances, he beings to receive calls from the killer's previous victims from a dead phone.

The Black Phone is an ominous movie that takes place in the late 70s and gives the tone that a serial killer is striking. Ethan Hawke plays a deeply disturbed killer known as "The Grabber" who drives around in a black van, kidnapping young boys, and bringing them down into his basement. Hawke is very creepy in his role and it's clear that his character has so much more going on than what is shown on-screen and the film keeps the audience guessing. While the movie isn't perfect, it's an entertaining thriller with a solid ending. Watch the movie and catch our review.

Final Friday: Playing with Dolls: Havoc (2017)21 Jul 202300:33:28

Serial killer, Havoc, has escaped from his confinement and kills all the way to a cabin where a husband and wife are having a complicated weekend.

Playing with Dolls: Havoc is the 3rd installment in the Playing with Dolls series and we believe it's the best one. For the first 45 minutes, the movie does a total 180 and presents itself as a romance only to become the gory slasher movie we all expected it to be.

We're All Going to the World's Fair is a movie that kept us thinking about what was going on. There's not a lot happening on screen and yet there's so much. It's a movie that kept us theorizing way after the end credits rolled and we couldn't wait to watch the movie again and discuss it. Watch the movie and catch our review.

167 - Bodies Bodies Bodies (2022) Review11 Jul 202300:43:06

Rich young adults throw a hurricane party at a family mansion which goes downhill fast after a game of Bodies Bodies Bodies goes wrong.

We couldn't wait to discuss Bodies Bodies Bodies which captures the rich and spoiled lives of several Gen Z young adults who put their narcissistic lives on full display as they backstab each other while playing a game. We were originally set to review this later in the year, but Shane wanted to move this up and discuss it as soon as possible and Bryan couldn't agree more. Watch the movie and catch our review.

In San Andreas Quake, a seismologist in LA reports a 12.7 earthquake, which is believed by no one based on previous history of misreporting earthquakes. As the disaster starts to occur, she is separated from her family and must find her disapproving stepdaughter and husband and get them to safety.

After reviewing San Andreas Mega Quake, we had to go back and check out San Andreas Quake to see where this film compared. 166 - Sick (2022) Review03 Jul 202300:36:23

Parker and Miri stay at a family lake house during the pandemic and soon realize they are not alone.

Sick is a pandemic slasher movie written by Kevin Williamson, who is well known for writing Scream and I Know What You Did Last Summer. He has a strong resume especially when it comes to writing slashers so we were curious what a slasher during the pandemic would look like. We were not disappointed. In Route 666, government agents are sent to track down a witness. Finding him was easy, but returning him safely, takes them down the shortcut highway, Route 66, where the undead lie.

Route 666 is the first Lou Diamond Phillips movie we've discussed on this podcast, but it won't certainly be our last. An enjoyable watch all the way through, this movie even provided some nostalgia to all the movies we'd watch on the Sci-Fi Channel. Watch the movie and catch our review.

Hitting a wall in the dating world, Noa meets the charming Steve by chance at a grocery store and what seems like a good thing, isn't so wonderful.

Fresh is a very entertaining, enjoyable horror thriller that builds up tension and adds this black market subculture of cannibals that hasn't really been explored before. Daisy Edgar-Jones and Sebastian Stan have great chemistry and did an amazing job of keeping us at the edge of our seats.

ThanksKilling is a cult classic horror comedy movie that puts college kids up against a killer Thanksgiving turkey. The characters and kills are crazy, and the one-liners from the turkey are what make this movie fun.
