Secret Pour-igins: Caribbean Rum Punch Cocktail: Blackbeard’s Rum Punch Ingredients (per drink) 3 ounces of pineapple juice 2 ounces of orange juice ½ lime 1 oz dark rum 1 oz spiced rum (or white rum if you prefer) 1 splash of grenadine Garnish Lime slices Orange wheel Maraschino Cherry Instructions In a shaker, add the pineapple juice, orange juice, lime juice, and rums. Give it a shake and strain into rocks-filled glass. (If you don’t have a shaker, pour directly into glass with ice and stir) Slowly pour in a splash of grenadine over a spoon that is upside down with the tip against the inside of the glass. The grenadine will sink to the bottom. Splash 1/2 ounce of the dark rum on the top (optional). Garnish with a slice of lime, an orange wheel and a maraschino cherry. Secret Pour-igins: Sambuca Cocktail: The Owl Ingredients (per drink): 1 Lemon wheel or lemon twist 1 Lemon wedge Sugar on a plate to rim the glass 1 ½ oz Vodka ¾ oz lemon juice ¾ oz Sambuca Ice Instructions Chill a martini glass or coupe. If you have neither, you can use a short rocks glass or even a wine glass. Use your imagination. Rim the edge of your glass with the lemon wedge Run the edge around the plate with sugar to rim the glass with sugar. If you're not a big sugar person, rim half the glass edge. Set the glass to the side In a shaker, add the vodka, lemon juice, sambuca, and ice. Secret Pour-igins: The Margarita Cocktail: Nightwing Fallen Ingredients (per drink): 1 lime wedge 2 jalapeno slices 2 oz Patron Blanco 1/2 oz Trip Sec, Cointreau or GM 1 oz lime juice, freshly squeezed 1/2 oz simple syrup Garnish: salt rim and jalapeno slice Instructions Rub the rim of a rocks glass with a lime wedge, dip the rim in salt to coat, and set aside Add the jalapeño slices to a shaker and gently muddle. If you don’t have a muddler, you can use the back of a spoon. Secret Pour-igins: Lemon Drop Martini Cocktail: Lemony Luthor Ingredients (per drink): 2 oz vodka of choice 1/2 oz Cointreau or triple sec 1/2 oz fresh squeezed lemon juice 1/4 oz simple syrup 1 twist of lemon Sugar rim 1/2 cup granulated sugar Zest from 1 lemon Instructions Add sugar to a plate, then add zest of a lemon into the sugar and rub into the sugar with your fingers until tinted yellow and fragrant Moisten the rim of a chilled martini glass with the juiced lemon, rim the glass with lemon sugar and set aside Fill shaker with ice Add vodka, Cointreau, lemon juice, and simple syrup to the shaker Shake well and strain into martini glass Garnish with a lemon twist and enjoy Comic: Action Comics Vol.1 #335, DC Comics, 1966 Have a question or comment? Secret Pour-igins: The Mojito Cocktail: Blue Summers Ingredients (per drink): 2oz White Rum 75oz Fresh Lime Juice 5oz Blueberry Simple Syrup 8–12 Fresh Mint Leaves Club Soda Instructions In a large glass or mason jar, add 2 scoops vanilla ice cream. Add a shot of Irish cream Add some chocolate syrup Slowly pour in Guinness Top with whipped cream Dash of nutmeg and/or chocolate shavings Stir it up and enjoy Garnish Mint Sprig 3 blueberries Glassware Collins or basically any type of glassware Blueberry Simple Syrup Recipe 1 cup blueberries 1 cup lemon juice 1 cup warm water 1 cup white granulated sugar Mix blueberries, water, and sugar together using a whisk in a small saucepan over low heat until sugar is dissolved, about 5 minutes. Increase heat to medium and bring a gentle boil, stirring often, until syrup is thickened, about 15 minutes. Whisk lemon juice into syrup; serve immediately or cool. Instructions Add the mint, lime juice and simple syrup to a glass and gently muddle. Add the rum and fill the glass with ice. Top with club soda and give an easy stir Garnish with a big mint sprig and blueberries Non-Alcoholic version of Blue Summers Follow all other instructions above, just replace White Rum with additional Club Soda.
