| How to Force Self-Discipline onto Autopilot | Ed Mylett | 03 oct. 2026 | 01:34:44 | |
Self-discipline isn't something you're born with. It's something you can build until it runs on autopilot.
This weekend I pulled together some of my favorite conversations on the one trait that changes everything. I open with five rules I've carried with me for over twenty years. They're the mindsets behind Tiger Woods and some of the most dominant athletes who ever lived. I've read them thousands of times, and they've shaped how I think about work, pressure, and what it really means to win.
Then I sit down with Mike O'Hearn, who started training at eight years old and is still getting better nearly four decades later. Mike tells me where his chip on the shoulder came from and what gets him out of bed at 3 a.m.
Tim Grover, the man who trained Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant, settles a debate I've always wondered about and explains why the greatest are never satisfied.
Dean Graziosi went from a small blue-collar town to building one business after another. He pushes back hard on one of the most popular pieces of advice in entrepreneurship.
Alan Stein Jr., who has spent years around elite NBA performers, shares research on visualization that blew my mind. I share what visualization did for my own baseball career.
I close with something I feel deeply about: what conformity really costs you and why the lonely road is worth it.
Here's what you'll gain from this episode:
The Dominator Mindset: The five rules that separate the greats from everyone else, and why they're mindsets, not just behaviors.
Decades of Dominance: What it takes to stay at your peak long after most people have quit.
The Never Satisfied Standard: Why the true greats work harder after they win, not before.
Go Deep Before You Go Wide: A take on building wealth every new entrepreneur needs to hear.
Train Your Mind First: How visualization and the right kind of stress can raise your game.
Color Outside the Lines: Why the life you want is waiting outside the picture you were handed.
Sometimes all you can see in front of you is smoke. Don't look at the wall. Keep your eyes on where you're going and drive right through it.

Some of the best leadership lessons don't come from a script. They come from your questions.
Thousands of you sent questions in during Season 2 of John Maxwell's 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership, so before we kick off Season 3, I sat down to answer them. No prep. Just my raw unfiltered answers.
I go deep on how to sell a dream so big that everyone on your team can see their own dreams inside it. How to carry real confidence without losing your humility, and one of the toughest questions I've been asked in a long time: what do you do when you're leading from underneath someone who feels threatened by you?
I open up about servant leadership, about letting go of the need for credit, and about why I stopped micromanaging a long time ago.
Then Max, my son, asked me how to get ready for the leader's legacy, and that's where it got personal. Having my son sitting across from me while I talked about what really lasts made this one hit different. I think you'll feel it too.
At the end of your life, you won't be sitting around with your trophies. You'll be sitting around with your people. That's the legacy, and that's why I want you to hear this one.

| John Paul DeJoria- From Homeless to Billionaire | 29 sept. 2026 | 00:43:42 | |
You can't change yesterday's newspaper, so why are you still carrying it around?
I have wanted to sit down with this man for so long. Imagine going from living in your car to building two multibillion dollar brands. It doesn't even sound real when you say it out loud. But that's not what I admire most about him. It's how he carries the success: with humility, generosity and kindness. So today I got out of the way and let him teach.
I've interviewed some of the top entrepreneurs on the planet, and I don't know that I've ever met a better communicator. This conversation is a masterclass, and I'm fired up for you to hear it.
John Paul DeJoria is the co-founder of John Paul Mitchell Systems and Patrón Spirits Company. He started Paul Mitchell with $700 and lived in his car to make it happen. Then he built Patrón into a brand selling millions of cases a year.
Here's what you'll gain from this episode:
The Two Rules of Success: two rules to live by if you want to see more success in every area of your life.
You Can't Change Yesterday's Newspaper: Why he wouldn't change a single thing about the hard times, and how to move forward after hardship
Watch Your Words: Why saying "I'll try" keeps you trying forever, and how to break the pattern.
The Richest Man's Regret: What John Paul DeJoria said he would give up just to have been happy, and what that says about money.
Kindness Works, Even for Jerks: How humor and kindness disarms, and why you should never knock your competitor.
Whatever you're still carrying from yesterday, consider this your permission to put it down. I don't want you to just listen to this one. I want you to feel it, then go live it.

| 7 Reasons Why High Achievers Never Feel Satisfied | Ed Mylett | 26 sept. 2026 | 01:38:10 | |
What if the success you’re chasing is actually keeping you from enjoying the life you’ve worked so hard to build?
In this mashup, we’re going straight at something I think every ambitious person needs to hear: the danger of becoming addicted to achievement. I want you to win. I want you to build the business, make the money, transform your body, impact people, and chase every dream God put in your heart. But if your happiness is always waiting on the other side of the next goal, you can spend your entire life achieving and never actually feel fulfilled. The answer isn’t to stop chasing greatness. It’s learning how to fall in love with the PROCESS while you’re becoming great.
Fallon Taylor opens up about what happened after she finally became a world champion and discovered that catching the dream didn’t magically fix everything. Her answer became growth and contribution, continuing to evolve while using what she learned to serve other people. Inky Johnson takes that idea even deeper with one of the most powerful definitions of courage I’ve heard: committing to the process when nobody can guarantee you the outcome. After his injury, he learned to stop needing the reward to justify the work and instead let his character, integrity, and commitment determine how he showed up.
Matthew McConaughey breaks down the difference between happiness and JOY, and why constantly moving the finish line can rob you of both. He shares how some of the greatest results of his career came when he stopped obsessing over the result and became completely immersed in the work. Dean Graziosi reminds us that money and achievement without fulfillment aren’t enough, and that we need to work on ourselves just as hard as we work on our businesses and our bank accounts. Inky comes back with another lesson I love: be where your feet are. Take the pictures. Have the fun. Build the memories. Don’t become so good at accomplishing things that you forget to actually EXPERIENCE your own life.
Then Rob Dyrdek gives you a masterclass on intentionally DESIGNING your life instead of simply cramming more into it. He breaks down how tracking his time, eliminating friction, creating systems, and constantly optimizing his schedule allowed him to accomplish more while protecting the parts of his life that bring him joy. Jesse Itzler brings it home with the courage to START before you’re ready. He built businesses in industries he knew almost nothing about because he trusted himself to get through the door and figure it out. His reminder is simple: you will never have enough experience, perfect timing, or every answer before you begin. And real success isn’t dominating one area of your life while everything else falls apart. It’s building winning habits across ALL the buckets that matter.
Key Takeaways:
Why achievement can become an addiction and quietly steal your happiness
Fallon Taylor on finding fulfillment through growth and contribution after reaching the top
Inky Johnson on choosing process over product and committing without a guarantee of success
Matthew McConaughey on why joy is found in the doing, not at the finish line
Dean Graziosi on building yourself while you build your success
Why being present, having fun, and creating memories are part of a successful life
Rob Dyrdek’s approach to designing, tracking, and optimizing your time around the life you actually want
Jesse Itzler on starting before you’re ready and making yourself irreplaceable
Why true success means winning across multiple areas of your life, not just money or career
I want you to chase your dreams with everything you’ve got, but don’t miss your LIFE while you’re chasing them. Stop telling yourself, “When I get there, then I’ll be happy.” There will always be another mountain, another goal, another number, another finish line. The joy is in the ride. The fulfillment is in who you become and the people you impact along the way. Chase greatness, but make sure you’re actually alive enough to enjoy becoming great.

The best leaders want more FOR people than they want FROM them.
Season 2 of John Maxwell's 21 Laws of Leadership is in the books, and this one belongs to you. When you downloaded the workbook, you sent in your leadership questions, and over 10 thousand of them came in! John Maxwell and I went through them, and we answered the themes that kept coming up again and again.
My son Max brought your questions to the table, and what came out of the conversation is real, unscripted, and personal. Here are some of the questions you sent in:
What is the biggest problem with how people lead today?
What is the biggest thing you had to unlearn to level up your leadership?
How do you lead when nobody is listening?
How does a wife support her husband in becoming a better leader?
John has spent more than fifty years living what he teaches, and he has stood on a stage more than 14,000 times. He isn't polished about it. He tells you plainly about the seasons he led badly, and where he learned to look first when people stop listening.
I open up about the way I led in my twenties and the day I decided to talk less and ask more. I share the story of a ride home that changed how I see belief inside a marriage. I ask John a question I've never asked him, and his answer surprised even me.
The chemistry in this one is something you have to witness. We go back and forth like family around a kitchen table. Tune in to this powerful episode and then take the answer that hits you hardest and put it to work this week.

| How to Turn Customers Into Raving Fans with Savannah Bananas Owner Jesse Cole | 22 sept. 2026 | 00:54:03 | |
Customers come and go. Fans will drive 40 hours just to be in the room with you.
I've wanted Jesse Cole on this show for a long time, and this conversation went further than I hoped. More than 4 million people are on a waitlist for a ticket to one of his games. He's drawn crowds bigger than the Super Bowl. And he's done it by obsessing over the thing I believe matters most as AI moves into every business: how people feel when they deal with you.
This was not an overnight success. Jesse's pro baseball dream ended with a torn shoulder. He spent ten years running a team almost nobody came to see. Then he and his wife, Emily, bet everything on a college summer team in Savannah, and in the first three months, they sold two tickets. What happened next became the Banana Ball Championship League and one of the great American business stories.
I asked him the question every entrepreneur in a hard season needs answered: why didn't you quit? I share what it felt like when my own baseball dream ended. I push back on founders who build companies just to sell them, and I explain why most big exits aren't what they look like. And I challenge Jesse on what separates great entrepreneurs: they keep improving even when everything is already working.
We finish with what Jesse and Emily are building off the field, and it may be the most powerful part of the whole conversation.
Here's what you'll gain from this episode:
Fans vs. Customers: Why one is transactional and the other will defend you when you make a mistake.
The Friction Question: The one question that sparked Banana Ball, and how it applies to a realtor, a dry cleaner, or any business.
Attention Beats Marketing: Why Jesse hasn't spent a dollar on marketing since opening night, and what he does instead.
The Energy List: How Jesse found what fuels him, and why it changed the way he shows up as a leader and a dad.
Lessons from Walt Disney: Two principles Jesse built his company on, including the one that explains why he won't sell.
Learn, Change, Plus: The nightly habit that keeps a sold-out business from ever getting comfortable.
Two tickets in three months. That's where this started. Whatever season you're in right now, get to the next day, then the next one. You are much closer to your dreams than you realize.

| How to Master the Art of Persuasion & Scale Your Vision | Ed Mylett | 19 sept. 2026 | 01:37:44 | |
If I could only keep one skill out of everything I've built, this is the one.
I get asked all the time what skill matters most for an entrepreneur, and my answer never changes: the ability to persuade. Without it, most of what I have doesn't exist. And here's the hard truth I open this episode with. Most people are nowhere near as persuasive as they believe they are, and that belief is the very thing keeping them stuck.
So I brought together three of the most influential people I've ever sat across from. John Maxwell has trained leaders in every country on earth and sold more than 30 million books. Zoe Chance teaches one of the most popular courses at the Yale School of Management. Mauricio Umansky built The Agency into one of the biggest real estate brands on the planet, starting at the worst possible moment to start anything.I push each of them on the things most people never talk about.
I get honest with John about a part of leadership where I've always felt limited. I admit to Zoe the surprisingly small thing I'm still afraid to ask for. And I press Mo on what really happened before The Agency existed, a story I was surprised he was willing to tell.
I also lay out my own playbook: why energy moves people more than words, why you have to sell a dream big enough for everyone around you to fit inside, and a lesson my dad taught me as a kid that every closer needs to hear.
Here's what you'll gain from this episode:
The Question That Changes Everything: The one question Zoe teaches that opens doors you didn't know existed, and what happened when I asked it of myself.
Your Sweet Spot: How John realized he was in the wrong role for years, and how to find where you win.
The Emotional Moment: How Mo reads a room before a deal, and the one mistake that destroys the connection.
Rejection as Training: Why you should be hearing no a lot more often, and how to make it hurt less.
Scaling Your Influence: How to transfer the skill of persuasion to your team so it grows beyond you.
Everything you want is on the other side of someone saying yes: your business, your family, your team, even the person in the mirror. Stop checking the box like you've already mastered this and go get better at it.

| John Maxwell's #14 Law of Leadership: The Law of Buy-In | 17 sept. 2026 | 00:23:10 | |
📥 CLICK HERE to Download the free Leadership Workbook and submit your question for our Q&A with John and me.
People don't buy into your vision until they buy into you first.
Every leader eventually asks the same question: why isn't my team buying into this? I've asked it myself. And the answer almost never has anything to do with the vision. It has everything to do with whether people have already bought into you as the person carrying it.
I bring up something John said to me earlier this year that has stuck with me, about how rare it actually is for anyone in a position of influence to stand up and own a mistake out loud. That conversation is one we don't have enough, and John and I go deep on why owning your failures builds more trust than pretending you don't have any.
John breaks down the 8-step process to get your team to buy-in, step by step, from the first crack people notice in a problem all the way to the moment buy-in becomes automatic and you don't have to ask for it anymore. He walks it back to his own story: stepping into a role after a legendary 27-year predecessor and spending nearly two years proving himself before anyone came looking for his counsel instead of comparing him to the guy before him.
Here's what you'll gain from this episode:
Sell Yourself First: Why the vision is always the second sale, never the first.
The 8-Step Buy-In Process: John's exact sequence for turning a skeptical team into one that believes your belief before you've finished the sentence.
The Line I Can't Forget: What John said to me that reframed why owning your mistakes builds more trust than covering them.
Two Years to Earn the Room: John's own story of following a beloved leader and what it actually took.
This Week's Rep: One decision that builds credibility before you ask anyone to follow you anywhere.
Buy-in isn't built in the big speech. It's built in the Tuesday nobody's watching, the mistake you own out loud, and the promise you keep when it would've been easier not to. Do that long enough and you stop needing to ask people to follow you.
This wraps Season 2 of my series with John Maxwell on his 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership. If you haven't already, click the link above to download the free 21-page workbook and track your reps for every law we cover.
And here's the big one: for the next two weeks, John and I are answering your questions directly in our upcoming Q&A sessions. It's not too late to get your leadership questions in front of us, so click the link and submit yours before that window closes!

| Alex Hormozi on Fatherhood, Leadership & The Cost of Success | 15 sept. 2026 | 01:05:15 | |
Alex Hormozi is back on the show, and I’m telling you right now, this may be my favorite conversation we’ve ever had together. I believe Alex is one of the best business minds in the world today, but what makes him different is his ability to take incredibly complex ideas and make them immediately actionable. We get into everything from productivity and AI to leadership, leverage, risk, and why some entrepreneurs explode through barriers while others stay trapped at the same level for years.
One of the biggest ideas we unpack is something I believe every entrepreneur needs to hear: the risk that got you where you are may not be enough to get you where you want to go. Alex explains why so many entrepreneurs get trapped between $1 million and $3 million in revenue. You’ve finally made enough money to become comfortable, and now the very thing that helped you survive starts working against you. You become protective. You stop making the bets that got you there. But if you want another level, your capacity for risk has to expand alongside your capacity for opportunity.
We also go deep on effort, focus, and leverage. Alex challenges the obsession with complicated morning routines and explains why your best cognitive hours should be protected for your most important work. He breaks down his philosophy that "work is the goal," why winning against other people eventually becomes too low of a standard, and why some of the most successful people measure themselves against what they were truly capable of giving. And his take on AI absolutely stopped me. Too many entrepreneurs are using AI to do the wrong things faster instead of asking whether those things should be done at all. Sometimes the greatest leverage isn’t doing something more efficiently. It’s eliminating it completely.
But underneath all the business strategy is something even bigger. Alex talks about becoming a father, thinking differently about legacy, redefining what a great day actually looks like, and asking a deceptively simple question before taking a risk: What will this actually change about my day? We talk about why fear lives in the vague, why failure builds the pattern recognition that eventually makes success repeatable, and why great entrepreneurs eventually stop "building" businesses and start assembling them. If you’re an entrepreneur, leader, or someone who knows there’s another level in you, this episode will challenge the way you think about work, risk, success, and what you’re actually building your life for.
Key Takeaways:
• Why your risk tolerance has to increase as your success increases• The $1M to $3M "swamp" that keeps entrepreneurs stuck• Why "work is the goal" can completely change how you measure success• How to protect your highest cognitive hours and eliminate unnecessary routines• Why focus is subtraction and doing less can create more leverage• The biggest mistake entrepreneurs are making with AI right now• How failure creates pattern recognition and makes future success faster• Why great entrepreneurs eventually stop building businesses and start assembling them• How Alex evaluates risk by asking what it will actually change about his daily life
This one is packed with ideas I’ll personally be thinking about for a long time. If you know an entrepreneur who feels stuck at the same level, send them this episode. It might show them exactly what’s been holding them back.

| Why Your Environment Dictates Your Future Success | Ed Mylett | 12 sept. 2026 | 01:32:46 | |
The people closest to you are quietly writing the next ten years of your life.
When the water got shut off in my apartment, I did not just take inventory of myself. I took inventory of who was around me. What I found there redirected everything that came after it, and it is still the part of my story I talk about least.
So this weekend I pulled together the conversations that hit this from every angle, and I put my own version of it up front.Jeff Foxworthy, Master P, Jamie Kern Lima, Trent Shelton, Fallon Taylor, and Tom McCarthy each arrive at this from a completely different life: comedy, hip hop, beauty, the NFL, rodeo, and peak performance. Not one of them got where they are alone, and not one of them got there by accident.
Here is a piece of what we get into:
The question I ask about every person in my life, and why "they love me" is not the answer I am looking for
Why Jeff Foxworthy says the mistakes that blow up a life never begin as big mistakes
What Master P told his grandmother at seven years old, and the ten thousand dollars that showed up years later
The story about my first grade teacher that Jamie Kern Lima pulled out of me, and why it still gets me
Trent Shelton's soil test for your entire environment, and the palm tree that makes it impossible to unsee
What Fallon Taylor says the turning point in a life actually looks like when it happens
Tom McCarthy's poker table experiment in carrying an identity he had not earned yet
The three words I use with people I love who are not good for where I am going
Here is a piece of what we get into:I am not asking you to go clear people out of your life today. I am asking you to look around. Look at who you text when something good happens.
Look at who gets the last hour of your night. Then be honest about what that is producing in you, because you will get your standards and not your goals, and those people are the ones setting them.

| John Maxwell's #13 Law of Leadership: The Law of the Picture | 10 sept. 2026 | 00:13:30 | |
📥 CLICK HERE to Download the free Leadership Workbook and submit your question for our Q&A with John and me.
Forget what you told them this week. What did they watch you do?
Law thirteen is the Law of the Picture, and out of everything John and I have covered so far in this series, this might be the one that convicted me the most. Because it doesn't ask what you're saying in the Monday meeting or what you posted online. It asks a much harder question: what is your team actually watching you do when you think no one's paying attention.
John's spent over forty years studying this and has put these principles in front of leaders in nearly every country on earth, and this is the law he says confronts people the most. Simply put, people do what people see. Not what they're told. Not what they're taught in a seminar. What they see, day after day, from the person leading them.
I've made this mistake plenty of times, both as a father and as a leader in my business. I used to think I could fix everything I wasn't doing with a great speech on a Monday. I was wrong. Once I understood my team wasn't catching my words, they were catching my life, everything about how I lead changed.
Here's what you'll take from this episode:
The Gandhi story that redefines what it means to lead by example, and why it applies to every parent and every leader listening
Why "most things are caught, not taught," and what that actually means for the standard you're setting without realizing it
The real reason culture can't be announced from a stage, and what it takes to embody it instead
How this law connects back to law nine, the Law of Magnetism, and why the leaders you attract eventually become the leaders you reproduce
The identity shift that separates someone who acts like a leader from someone who actually is one, even when the cameras are off
This law shaped how I show up with my own kids just as much as it shaped how I lead in business, and I don't think there's a law in this series that will confront you quite like this one does.

| The Man Who DID NOT Want to be Elected Feat. Dr. Ben Carson | 08 sept. 2026 | 00:39:35 | |
What does America look like from inside the Oval Office, and what do you learn about leadership when you've actually run for President of the United States?
I don't normally talk politics on this show, but when I got the opportunity to sit down with Dr. Ben Carson, I couldn't pass it up. This isn't a political conversation. It's a rare opportunity to hear from someone who's run for President and had a front-row seat inside the most powerful office in the world.
Dr. Ben Carson has occupied seats very few human beings ever will. He went from growing up in poverty in Detroit to becoming one of the most accomplished neurosurgeons in the world, then stepped into an entirely different arena and ran for President of the United States. What surprised me in this conversation is that he told me he never really wanted to be President. He entered the race because he was deeply concerned about where he believed the country was heading and felt called to do whatever he could to make a difference. Along the way, he competed against Donald Trump, developed a friendship with him, and ultimately went on to serve as Secretary of Housing and Urban Development. Today, Dr. Carson gives us a rare look at what he saw from inside presidential politics and the highest levels of our government.
I wanted to know what happens when the cameras turn off. What is it actually like inside an administration? What surprised him about being that close to the Oval Office? Dr. Carson talks about the competing personalities and opinions inside government, the intense energy required at that level of leadership, and why disagreement behind closed doors can actually be healthy. We also have a fascinating conversation about President Trump, including what Dr. Carson told him while they were still competing for the Republican nomination, why he believed Trump was going to become President, and what he observed working alongside him once he was in office. Whatever your politics are, this is a perspective very few people can give you firsthand.
But what struck me most is the temperament Dr. Carson brought into an arena that rewards conflict. We talk about how divided the country has become and why he believes we've lost the ability to disagree with someone without treating them like an enemy. He shares why leadership requires listening to different viewpoints, why a "my way or the highway" mentality doesn't work in a country as diverse as ours, and why our ability to see each other as neighbors again may matter more than any political label. We also get into home ownership, the expectations of the next generation, AI, parenting in a rapidly changing technological world, and what he believes families can do instead of waiting for Washington to solve their problems.
And then you hear the story behind the man. This calm, measured former presidential candidate was once an angry teenager who tried to stab another young man. The knife struck a metal belt buckle and broke. Dr. Carson went home, locked himself in a room, turned to God, and experienced a transformation that changed his entire future. As he told me, God took the knife out of the hand of an angry teenager and replaced it with a scalpel that would save lives. When you hear about his mother, his childhood, his faith, his journey into medicine, his run for President, and eventually his time inside a presidential administration, you begin to understand why his perspective on leadership is so different.
Key Takeaways:
Why Dr. Carson says he entered the presidential race even though he didn't really want to become President
What happened between Dr. Carson and Donald Trump while they were competing for the Republican nomination
What surprised him after getting an inside view of a presidential administration
What he learned about leadership, disagreement, and decision making at the highest levels of government
Why he believes Americans must relearn how to disagree without treating each other as enemies
His concerns about AI, parenting, home ownership, and the future facing the next generation
How faith transformed him from an angry teenager who nearly took a life into a surgeon who spent his career saving them
There are very few people who can tell you what it's like to operate on the human brain, run for President, serve in a presidential cabinet, and sit inside the rooms where decisions affecting millions of people are made. Dr. Carson can. Regardless of your politics, this conversation is about something bigger: leadership, faith, character, family, and what each of us can do to build a better future. This is one I genuinely didn't want to end. God bless you. Max Out your life.

| How to Stop Wasting Years of Your Life With One Simple Word | 05 sept. 2026 | 01:34:18 | |
You don't need more talent. You need one more rep than you think you have.
I get asked all the time what actually separates the people who win from everyone else, and this week I gave you my real answer: it's not talent, it's not connections, it's one more. One more call, one more set, one more minute. So instead of just teaching it, I pulled from the archives to show it in action, my conversations with David Meltzer and Jay Shetty, alongside some of my favorite solo teaching on this over the years.
Here's what you'll gain from this episode:
The one word mantra: The single word I've repeated to myself for three decades, and why I believe it's the real separator between winners and everyone else.
The 24 hour myth: Why I stopped believing a day is 24 hours a long time ago, and the shift that gets me multiple days out of every single one.
David Meltzer on accessibility: What makes some of the most successful people I know also some of the most reachable, and what that has to do with how you value your own time.
Jay Shetty on evaluating progress: How often Jay actually checks in on himself, and why it's nowhere close to how often most people do.
The story I still think about with Kobe Bryant: What I saw the last time I was around him, and why it changed how I look at every day since.
Whatever rock is sitting between you and your dream right now, it's breaking down more than you realize. You just haven't seen the evidence yet. Stick around long enough and the candy comes out.

| John Maxwell's #12 Law of Leadership: The Law of Empowerment | 03 sept. 2026 | 00:20:17 | |
📥 CLICK HERE to Download the free Leadership Workbook and submit your question for our Q&A with John and me.
You either go up with the people you lead, or you go down with them. There is no version where you stay still.
Welcome back to our series on John Maxwell's 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership. Law #12 is the Law of Empowerment, and John opens it with a line that stopped me: only secure leaders give power to others. This one hits close to home for me. If you know me at all, you know I like control. Letting go of it has been one of the hardest lessons of my leadership life.
In this episode, John shows you what happens when a leader pushes people down instead of lifting them up: you don't stay above them, you go down right along with them. Then he gets specific about why so many leaders never empower anyone in the first place. He breaks down five reasons, from insecurity to ego to the kind of bad experience that makes you swear you'll never pour into anyone again, and he doesn't let anyone off the hook, including himself.
I connect this straight to what I teach in the power of one more. I talk about how leaders convince themselves they're more valuable when everything depends on them, when the truth is the opposite: if everything depends on you, you don't have a business, you have a bottleneck with your name on it. I challenge you to stop asking how you can get something done fastest and start asking who can grow by doing it instead. That one shift in the question changes everything about how you lead.
Here's what you'll gain from this episode:
The Demonstration: John's live, physical illustration of exactly what happens to a leader who pushes their people down instead of lifting them up.
The Five Reasons You Don't Empower: The breakdown of what's really stopping you from letting go, and at least one of them is going to sting.
The Power of One More: How a single moment of belief from a leader can turn someone into who they were always capable of becoming.
The Bottleneck Trap: Why holding onto every decision doesn't make you more valuable, it makes you the reason your organization can't grow.
Kingmaker, Not King: What John says the real goal of leadership actually is, and why the leaders who understand it end up more secure, not less.
I think about every person who ever believed I could be more than I thought I could be, and I know I would not be sitting here right now without them. That is the debt I am trying to pay forward every single day. Somebody in your life is waiting for you to see something in them before they see it in themselves. Stop protecting your position long enough to go find that person this week.

| How To Be A World Class Communicator Feat. Rory Vaden | 01 sept. 2026 | 00:58:03 | |
What if the biggest thing holding you back isn't your talent, your intelligence, or your work ethic, but your inability to express what you already know?
Rory Vaden is back for his third appearance on the show, and this conversation might be the most important one we've ever had together. Rory is a two-time New York Times bestselling author, a two-time World Championship of Public Speaking finalist, and the co-founder of Brand Builders Group. He's also someone who has personally helped me grow my own brand and career. We go deep on what I believe is one of the most underrated skills in life: your ability to communicate, present, tell stories, and move people emotionally. Because whether you're leading a company, closing a sale, raising your kids, building a relationship, or speaking to thousands of people, you're presenting every single day.
Rory breaks down why charisma isn't something you're simply born with. It's a skill you can develop. We get tactical about how changing your pace, volume, eye contact, pauses, and storytelling can literally change how another person feels when they're listening to you. And in a world increasingly dominated by AI, Rory makes a powerful point: your story and your experiences are becoming more valuable, not less. AI can help create information, but it cannot live your story for you. If you can learn to tell that story in a way that creates emotion and meaning for someone else, you become unforgettable.
We also get into personal branding, and Rory gives one of the best definitions I've ever heard: your personal brand is the digitization of your reputation. You already have a reputation, whether you're intentional about it or not. The question is whether that reputation is helping you create more income, impact, and opportunity. Rory explains why you don't need millions of followers to build an incredibly profitable brand. Instead of obsessing over reaching more people, serve a narrower audience in a deeper way. Be useful. Create value. Become so good at helping the right people that they can't ignore you.
But this conversation goes deeper than business. Rory shares the buffalo story that helped build his career and explains why successful people learn to run directly toward difficult things instead of spending their lives avoiding them. We talk about separating your emotions from what needs to be done, doing the difficult things today that create freedom tomorrow, and why success ultimately becomes empty if it's driven only by ambition or competition. Rory's journey has taken him from ambition, to competition, and ultimately to mission. And that's where the real fulfillment is. It's not just about what you accomplish. It's about who becomes better because you were here.
Key Takeaways:
Why communication may be the fastest skill you can develop to dramatically change your life
How to move people emotionally whether your audience is 20,000 people or one person
Why storytelling becomes even more valuable in the age of AI
Rory's four-part storytelling framework: scene, struggle, summit, and lesson
Why the struggle is actually the most important part of every great story
How your personal brand is really the digitization of your reputation
Why you don't need millions of followers to build a powerful and profitable brand
How serving a narrower audience more deeply can create extraordinary results
Why successful people run toward difficult things instead of avoiding them
The difference between building your life around ambition, competition, and mission
Some of you are far more talented, capable, interesting, and valuable than the world currently knows. The problem isn't what's inside you. The problem may be that you've never learned how to express it. Get better at communicating. Get better at telling your story. Get better at expressing who you really are. Because when you learn how to move people emotionally, you don't just change your business. You change the depth and quality of your entire life.
God bless you. Max out your life.

| Learn the One Filter That Exposes a Fake Friend Instantly | 29 août 2026 | 01:39:07 | |
Every person in your life is telling you the truth about themselves right now, just not with their mouth.
That is the filter I open this weekend mashup with, and it is why I brought together some of the sharpest minds I know on reading people, building real confidence and telling the difference between someone who loves you and someone who is just good at saying it.
Dr. Marisa Franco is breaking down the actual research on why some friendships take root and others fade. Brendon Burchard and I get into the two small promises I started keeping to myself and how the habit of keeping tiny commitments directly relates to whether you can trust a person or not. Then you hear the raw truth from a man who finished Navy SEAL training, Army Ranger School and Air Force tech school in one lifetime, David Goggins, describing the 19 hours that broke him down and rebuilt him at the same time. What he says about the people from his old life who still want to pull him back will stick with you.
Here's what you'll walk away with:
Filter test: the exact shift in how you watch people that tells you instantly who is real.
Friendship science: why the group you show up to again and again matters more than how the first meeting felt.
Confidence rebuild: the two tiny promises that pulled me out of my lowest point.
The cookie jar: how to reach for proof of your own toughness when your body wants to quit.
The lens flip: one question that will change how every person in your life experiences you.
I have spent the past few years listening less and watching more, and every relationship in my life is better for it.
Watch the people around you this week instead of just listening to them, and you will already understand more about your life than you did yesterday.

| John Maxwell's #11 Law of Leadership: The Law of the Inner Circle | 27 août 2026 | 00:20:30 | |
📥 CLICK HERE to Download the free Leadership Workbook and submit your question for our Q&A with John and me.
Your inner circle is either your greatest asset or your biggest liability. There's no neutral option.
Welcome back to our series on John Maxwell's 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership. Law #11 is the Law of the Inner Circle, and John says it as plainly as I've ever heard it: a leader's potential is determined by those closest to him. This one is personal for me. Every real breakthrough in my life traces back to the people I let in close.
In this episode, John breaks down why the "self-made man" is a myth: if you made everything yourself, you haven't made much. He walks through what he calls the water bucket and the gasoline bucket, how the people around you either put out small fires or turn them into disasters, and why he's convinced there are only two kinds of people in this world: lifters and leaners. Then he hands you the exact grid he uses to evaluate everyone in his inner circle.
I share a story of my assistant Linda, and the night she took an assignment I gave her and made it better than I ever could have on my own. That's what this law is really about. It's not about doing more. It's about who you let close enough to make you more.
Here's what you'll gain from this episode:
The Self-Made Myth: Why claiming you built it all alone isn't something to be proud of, and what it actually reveals about your team.
Water Bucket or Gasoline Bucket: John's test for figuring out who calms the fire in your organization and who throws fuel on it.
Lifters and Leaners: The two types of people in every inner circle, and how to tell which one you're becoming for the people around you.
The Five-Value Grid: John's exact evaluation system for deciding who earns a seat closer to you: potential, positive, personal, production, and proven value.
"You Just Make Me Better Than I Am": My story about Linda, and what it looks like when someone in your inner circle takes what you give them to a level you couldn't reach alone.
I used to think being the hardest worker in the room was enough. It never is. The moment I stopped trying to carry everything myself and started building the right circle around me is the moment my life actually changed.
Take a real look at the five or six people closest to you this week. Are they lifting you or leaning on you?

| Jon Gordon: Forgive Fast — The Habit That Changes Everything | 25 août 2026 | 00:50:19 | |
You forgive fast, or you burn slow.
Jon Gordon might be setting the record for most appearances on this show at this point, and there's a reason for that. He's one of my closest friends, someone I call when I need real advice, and honestly one of only two people left where I still ask myself "what would John do" before I make a big decision, especially now that my dad is gone. When someone like that comes back on the show, you pay attention.
His new book, The Power of Positive Habits, might be the most tactical thing he's ever written. Ninety-three habits, pulled from nearly two decades of working with the best coaches and leaders in sports and business. Out of everything we covered, one story stopped me cold. Jon shared the moment he finally forgave his biological father, a man who wasn't there for his wedding, who abandoned him when he was a year old.
"Holding onto resentment", he told me, "is like gripping a hot coal meant for someone else. You're the one who ends up burned." He wishes he had forgiven faster. So do I, on my own stuff. That's why we're calling this one Forgive Fast.
Here's what you'll gain from this episode:
Forgive Fast: Why holding onto resentment, bitterness, or an old grudge is quietly costing you more than the person who wronged you.
The Thank You Walk: The daily gratitude practice that shifted Jon's mindset, saved his marriage, and became the source of nearly every book idea he's ever had.
Write Your Purpose Statement: Why putting your "why" on paper, not just carrying it in your head, is what keeps you from burning out when things get hard.
The Four Questions: What elite coaches like Sean McVay and Dave Roberts ask themselves every single day to keep improving instead of coasting on past success.
Tune Out Distractions: The sea turtle story Jon shares that will completely change how you think about chasing the wrong lights in your own life.
Jon said the sooner you forgive, the sooner you start growing again. Whatever you're still carrying, this episode is your permission to finally put it down.

| The Simple 3-Step System to Solve Almost Any Problem | Ed Mylett | 22 août 2026 | 01:34:41 | |
Problems need energy to live. Stop feeding yours.
You guys, I've gotten so many messages asking me to cover this, and I get it, because I still work on this myself. Today I'm handing you the exact system I use, the one I teach my athletes, my entertainers, and my politician clients, to eliminate most of the problems in your life before they ever get the chance to grow.
And I didn't want to just teach it. I wanted to show you it in action, so I pulled some of the most powerful moments from my archives: Tony Robbins on why fear is physical, a world champion barrel racer's comeback from a 2% chance to live, Dean Graziosi's hardest six months, and Amy Purdy's fight to walk again.
Here's what you'll gain from this episode:
The 3 step formula: Make a decision, flood yourself with certainty, and take insane action. This alone will crush most of your problems.
The 90/10 rule: Why pouring your energy into the problem instead of the solution is the single biggest mistake most people make.
Fear is physical: Tony Robbins breaks down why your breathing, your posture, and your body are running your emotional state, and how to take it back.
The comeback formula: A world champion barrel racer's story of being told she'd never walk again, and what she did with that news.
The lock came off the box: Dean Graziosi's most vulnerable story yet, and the one decision that changed everything on the other side of it.
I've said it before and I'll say it again: you're always going to have problems. That's not a flaw in your life, it's proof you're growing. So take this system, put it to work today, and watch how much lighter you feel. Max out.

📥 CLICK HERE to Download the free Leadership Workbook and submit your question for our Q&A with John and me.
People don't follow you because of what you know. They follow you because they feel like you actually see them.
Welcome back to our series on John Maxwell's 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership. Law #10 is the Law of Connection, and it might be the most important one yet: leaders touch a heart before they ever ask for a hand.
In this episode, John breaks down why so many leaders want loyalty without ever building the relationship that earns it, and I bring it home with what connection actually looks like when you're leading your team, your family, or yourself.
Here's what you'll gain from this episode:
Understand the Real Root of Resistance: Learn why most pushback from your people isn't really about direction, but disconnection, and what to do about it.
The Locomotive Principle: John's unforgettable story about trains, and why hitting people with your vision is not the same as connecting with them.
Know Yourself Before You Try to Know Anyone Else: Discover why leaders who haven't connected with themselves internally will never connect with anyone externally.
The Nine Ways to Connect: John's practical, step by step list for building real relational trust with the people you lead.
The Herb Kelleher Story: A classic example of the Law of Connection in action, and what 16,000 employees said about the leader who made every one of them feel known.
I've led enough people to know that the ones who stay with you aren't staying for your strategy. They're staying because you saw them first. This one will change how you walk into every room you lead.

| From Childhood Best Friends to Top of their Fields with Greg Genske | 18 août 2026 | 01:02:36 | |
Before you have a business or a following, you have a friend. Mine grew up to negotiate six billion dollars in sports contracts.
This episode is different for me. My guest was my best friend when we were ten years old, inseparable, running track together at six in the morning, trading baseball cards, growing up right alongside each other. Then life happened, and thirty five years went by without us being in the same room. After all that time, we finally sat down together, and today I brought him on the show.
Greg Genske went from that kid in my backyard to one of the top sports agents alive, building an agency with Gary Vaynerchuk, teaching negotiation at Berkeley Law, and representing thousands of professional athletes through the biggest deals of their careers.
Here's what you'll gain from this episode:
The Negotiation Secret Nobody Teaches: Greg breaks down the psychology of negotiation and why immaculate preparation on the other person's position beats any tactic.
The Tom Brady Story You've Never Heard: How a single deposition Greg took as a trial lawyer helped open the door for the greatest quarterback in history.
Position Yourself as the Expert: Why the people who separate themselves in any industry teach instead of sell.
Elimination, Not Addition: Greg's decision to give up alcohol after nine years of winning in spite of it, and what he found on the other side.
What 3,000 Athletes Taught Him About Loyalty: The difference between being an agent and being a real partner.
If you've got a friend from your childhood you've lost touch with, this one is your sign to reach out today. Some relationships are worth thirty five years of silence and still worth fighting for.

| How to STOP People Pleasing Yourself Right Out of Your Own Life | 15 août 2026 | 01:30:46 | |
Your cup is empty, and you've been calling it love.
I get a version of this question all the time: who's supposed to be the number one priority in your life? And this week I gave you an answer most of you don't want to hear. Because the version of people-pleasing nobody warns you about isn't the one where you're afraid to say no to a stranger.
It's the one where you've spent years putting everyone you love ahead of yourself, until there's nothing left in the cup to pour.
This one's built around some of the conversations that shaped how I think about this, with Tony Robbins, Jay Shetty, and Rob Dyrdek. Not soundbites. Real, lived-in wisdom from three guys who've actually done the work on themselves. Here's what you'll gain from this episode:
The stake in the ground: Why you keep telling yourself you can't move, even when you could walk away in a second.
Tony's rock bottom story: What he did the night he had nothing left, and how it rewired the rest of his life.
The three date rule: A simple set of questions Jay Shetty says can reconnect you with someone you think you already know completely.
The million hour mindset: How Rob Dyrdek thinks about time that makes every single day feel different.
Your own worst enemy: Why the way you talk to yourself is training the universe how to treat you, and the one phrase that flips it.
Time is not unlimited, and neither is your patience with yourself. You have been the last person on your own list for too long. Fill your cup first. Not because it's selfish. Because it's the only way you have anything left to give the people you love.

| John Maxwell's #9 Law of Leadership: The Law of Magentism | 13 août 2026 | 00:19:02 | |
📥 CLICK HERE to Download the free Leadership Workbook and submit your question for our Q&A with John and me.
If you're not happy with the people around you, the most important question you can ask is not "why do I keep attracting this?" It's "what about me is drawing it in?"
Law #9 of John Maxwell's 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership is the Law of Magnetism, and it is one of the most confronting laws in this entire series. The principle is simple: who you are is who you attract. Leaders don't attract who they want. They attract who they are. Your values, your energy, your standards, your character — all of it creates a magnet that pulls toward you the people who reflect it back.
John opens this episode with an exercise that will stop you cold. He asks you to write down the three qualities you most want in the people around you. And then he asks the only question that matters: do you actually possess those qualities yourself?
I connect this law to something I've written about in both Max Out Your Life and The Power of One More: your internal thermostat. Most people are running their teams, their businesses, and their lives at whatever temperature they believe they deserve. And when results start to exceed that setting, they subconsciously cool things back down. This law is about raising that thermostat because when you raise your own standard, the quality of people who stay in your world begins to change too.
Here's what you'll gain from this episode:
The Mirror Exercise: John's opening exercise that forces you to look honestly at what you're actually bringing before you make another hire or point the finger at your team.
The Six Areas of Magnetism: The specific dimensions where like attracts like, and how to use each one to understand exactly what your leadership is currently pulling in.
Your Life Is Recruiting: Why your leadership is drawing something toward you right now whether you realize it or not, and the one question that changes everything.
The Identity Thermostat: My framework for understanding why most leaders keep attracting the same people at the same level, and what it takes to permanently raise the standard.
High Standard Attracts High Standard: The practical rep this week: evaluate your team, your inner circle, and your culture at home, and ask honestly what your leadership has been modeling.
This is one of those laws that stays with you long after the episode ends. The people you are surrounded by right now are telling you something. The question is whether you're willing to hear it. | John Morgan: Life is Luck | 11 août 2026 | 00:49:12 | |
He started with a paper route. Now he runs America's largest personal injury law firm, spends $600 million a year on advertising, and owns OJ Simpson's Bronco. John Morgan doesn't just understand luck. He's spent his entire life engineering it.
John is the founder and chairman of Morgan & Morgan, the firm that has recovered more than $30 billion for its clients and built one of the most recognizable brands in the country. This interview is a masterclass in how the most successful people in the world create conditions for things to go right, and what most people get completely wrong about the role of chance in their success.
John brings one of the most unfiltered, fearless, and genuinely wise business minds I've ever sat across from. He breaks down the three types of luck and why two of them are entirely in your control.
He talks about moonshots and bullets, about what the stagecoach companies got wrong about the train, and about why the best stock market you'll ever invest in is the one you're building yourself. He also gives a jaw-dropping answer about whether all of this is worth it.
Here's what you'll gain from this episode:
The Three Types of Luck: And why you'll never look at someone's "lucky break" the same way again.
Bullets Before Bombs: The framework John uses to decide when to go all in and when to stay patient, and why most businesses fail before they ever get there.
The Best Stock Market You'll Ever Invest In: This the most profound thing said in nearly 900 episodes. You'll understand why when you hear it.
You Can't Teach Hungry: The one trait that separates the people who make it from everyone else, and how to spot it in minutes.
The Stagecoach and the Train: An urgent warning for every business owner right now, and what to do about it.
I push John on things people are afraid to ask someone of his stature: whether entrepreneurs are born or made, how AI is actually hitting his businesses right now, and what he thinks about the hunger you either have or you don't.
John Morgan is the real deal. Go get his book Life is Luck and go listen to this episode. I think it's one of the most in-depth conversations I've had on this show in a long time.

| The Hard Truth: Why Your Hardest Days Create Your Greatest Success | Ed Mylett | 08 août 2026 | 01:32:06 | |
What if the hardest season of your life is actually building the strongest version of you?
In this mashup episode, I’m bringing together some of the most powerful conversations I’ve had about adversity, resilience, purpose, and what it really takes to keep going when life hurts. I believe one of the greatest separators in life is the ability to play hurt. Anybody can perform when they feel great, when the momentum is there, and when everything is going their way. The real test is what you do when you’re tired, disappointed, grieving, afraid, or unsure of yourself. Those are the moments that reveal who you are becoming.
Jay “Jeezy” Jenkins shares how adversity became one of his greatest teachers and how going inward forced him to confront the parts of himself that success alone could never fix. Eric Thomas breaks down the level of work, discipline, and self-evaluation required if you truly want extraordinary results, and why sometimes the answer isn’t simply working harder, but raising your systems, your standards, and your entire level of execution. James Lawrence gives one of the most powerful examples of the One More mindset when he explains why, after completing 100 brutal endurance challenges, he got back up and did 101. Not because he had anything left to prove, but because he wanted people to know that even when you feel completely broken, there is still one more inside you.
Dean Graziosi and I talk about changing your relationship with fear, pain, and hard things. The people who win at the highest levels don’t spend their lives searching for the easiest path. They train themselves to move toward the difficult things that other people avoid. Jim Kwik reminds us that attention is everything and that one of the fastest ways to grow is to learn with the intention of teaching, because when you teach something, you begin to own it at a completely different level. And Maria Shriver offers the other side of resilience that we don’t talk about enough. She reminds us about the power of the pause, reflection, and understanding that a meaningful life is not only about doing more, but also knowing when to slow down long enough to understand who you are becoming.
I want you to understand something about the pain you’re going through right now. It does not have to be wasted. Your hardest season can become your greatest testimony, your deepest pain can become the thing that qualifies you to help somebody else, and your breaking point can become your building point. You don’t have to have your A-game every day. You just have to stay available, stay in the fight, and keep moving. Sometimes winning looks like one more call, one more meeting, one more workout, one more prayer, or simply getting up one more time.
Key Takeaways:
Why the ability to “play hurt” separates extraordinary people from everyone else
Jay “Jeezy” Jenkins on turning adversity into purpose and becoming more self-aware
Eric Thomas on matching your expectations with the level of work and systems required to achieve them
James Lawrence on why doing “one more” matters most when you feel completely depleted
Dean Graziosi on training yourself to move toward fear, pain, and difficult challenges
Jim Kwik on improving attention and why teaching what you learn helps you own it
Maria Shriver on the power of pausing, reflecting, and finding richness beyond constant achievement
Why your pain can become the very thing that prepares you for your next level
Your hardest days are not disqualifying you. They may be preparing you. So when life knocks you down, don’t automatically assume it’s time to retreat. Sometimes that pain is your opportunity to discover a level of strength, faith, and resilience you never would have found any other way. Get up, stay available, and do one more.

| John Maxwell's #8 Law of Leadership: The Law of Intuition | 06 août 2026 | 00:20:08 | |
📥 CLICK HERE to Download the free Leadership Workbook and submit your question for our Q&A with John and me.
Most people are reacting to what everyone can already see. Great leaders have already moved on what most people haven't named yet.
Welcome back. Season 2 of our series on John Maxwell's 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership starts here with Law #8: the Law of Intuition. John teaches it simply: leaders evaluate everything with a leadership bias. In other words, great leaders don't just see what's happening. They sense what it means, where it's going, and what needs to happen before anyone else has said it out loud.
This episode is going to teach you how learning to listen to your intuition is all you need to beat the fastest person on earth in a race. And it's exactly what will help you become a phenomenal leader.
I also dive deep into the power of stillness. Getting quiet gives you access to things you didn't even know you needed. Great leaders live beneath the surface. They develop the ability to sense sooner, think deeper, and respond wiser.
Here's what you'll gain from this episode:
The Leadership Jumpstart: Why intuition gives great leaders an unfair advantage before anyone else has even started moving.
Leaders Are Readers: The eight things great leaders read that most people walk right past, and why developing this skill is the most practical way to sharpen your intuition starting today.
You're Already Intuitive: You are already highly intuitive in one area of your life, you'll learn how to find it and lead from it.
Sense Sooner. Think Deeper. Respond Wiser: How to apply the Law of Intuition in real time, and five specific practices to start developing your discernment this week.
What to Do If This Isn't Your Strength: Maxwell's honest answer for leaders who struggle with intuition, and the two practical steps he gives to develop it even if it doesn't come naturally.
Season 2 is here and the laws only go deeper from here. If you haven't grabbed the free 21-page workbook yet, click the link below. It's the only way to track your progress law by law and get your questions in front of John and me for the upcoming live Q&A sessions.

| How To Become A Millionaire Feat. David Bach | 04 août 2026 | 01:02:15 | |
What If Becoming Financially Free Is Simpler Than You've Been Told?
I have been waiting for this conversation for a long time because David Bach is one of the people who fundamentally changed the way I think about money. Years ago, I read The Automatic Millionaire, and I can honestly tell you that the principles in this conversation have had a direct impact on my own financial life. In a world where everyone is chasing the next hot investment, David brings us back to something much more powerful: timeless principles that actually work. If you've ever felt like financial freedom is out of reach, this episode will show you that wealth is built through systems, not luck.
David breaks down why there are now more millionaires than ever before and why the next decade could create even more wealth than we've ever seen. But he also explains why so many people are still falling behind. We dive into the simple concept of paying yourself first, why automation beats willpower every single time, and how even small daily decisions can turn into millions of dollars over time. We also talk about the hidden cost of subscriptions, lifestyle inflation, and why so many people are unknowingly working for everyone else before they ever pay themselves.
One of my favorite parts of this conversation is our discussion about financial freedom versus simply looking wealthy. David shares the story that completely changed his life, when he met an ordinary couple who retired in their early fifties with complete financial independence by following a simple system. We also tackle one of the biggest debates happening today around home ownership, debt, retirement investing, and why so many young people are being given advice that could cost them decades of wealth creation. If you've been wondering whether it's too late to start, David has an incredibly encouraging message that proves today is always the right day to begin.
This conversation is not about getting rich overnight. It is about building real freedom. Freedom to make choices. Freedom to spend time with your family. Freedom to retire when you want instead of when you have to. Whether you're twenty-five or fifty-five, these principles can change your financial future if you're willing to take action. Sometimes the biggest breakthroughs don't come from making more money. They come from making one better decision and repeating it consistently for years.
Key Takeaways:
Why paying yourself first is the foundation of lasting wealth
How automation removes emotion and makes investing effortless
The surprising amount of wealth hidden inside small daily spending habits
Why financial freedom is far more valuable than simply appearing wealthy
The truth about home ownership and why it remains one of the greatest wealth-building tools available
Why it is never too late to start building wealth, no matter your age
How small, consistent actions compounded over time create extraordinary financial results
If you've ever felt overwhelmed by money, confused about investing, or wondered if it's too late to change your financial future, this conversation will give you a simple roadmap you can start following today. Your future self will thank you for making the decision to begin.

| If You Feel Fear, Doubt & Anxiety Right Now… WATCH THIS | Ed Mylett | 01 août 2026 | 01:32:23 | |
What if fear isn't the sign you're on the wrong path, but the proof you're finally on the right one?
In this mashup episode, I want to challenge the way you think about fear, doubt, rejection, and uncertainty. Too many people believe those feelings mean it's time to quit, slow down, or play it safe. I believe the exact opposite. If you've decided to pursue an extraordinary life, you have chosen the road less traveled, and that road comes with obstacles most people will never understand. The question isn't whether fear will show up. The question is whether you'll keep moving anyway. Dean Graziosi and I dive into what it really takes to embrace bigger opportunities, trust yourself, and keep growing when everyone else would turn around.
I share why the journey to success is rarely glamorous. It's lonely. It's uncomfortable. It's filled with rejection, setbacks, and moments where you'll wonder if you're making the right decision. But those moments are not signs to quit. They are signs that you're becoming someone different. Dean and I talk about why thinking bigger changes everything, how chasing meaningful challenges transforms your confidence, and why the greatest opportunities often exist on the other side of uncertainty. The bigger the mission, the more you'll be stretched into becoming the person capable of achieving it.
One of my favorite parts of this conversation is our discussion about fulfillment. So many people spend their lives chasing success only to realize they still feel empty. Real fulfillment comes when you stop trying to become someone else and start expressing the person you were created to be. Whether it's serving others, sharing your gifts, building your business, or creating something meaningful, your greatest satisfaction will always come from living authentically and making an impact. That is where confidence grows and purpose becomes real.
I truly believe you were born to do something extraordinary with your life. The fear you feel today doesn't disqualify you. It qualifies you. Every challenge, every difficult decision, and every uncomfortable moment is preparing you for a version of yourself that you cannot become by staying where it's safe. Don't let the road everyone else is traveling distract you from the one you were called to take. Your breakthrough is often waiting just beyond the place where most people decide to quit.
Key Takeaways:
• Why fear is often the strongest evidence that you're moving toward your purpose
• How choosing the road less traveled separates extraordinary lives from ordinary ones
• Dean Graziosi's mindset for thinking bigger and embracing opportunities that stretch your potential
• Why playing the biggest game often creates the greatest personal growth
• The connection between authentic self expression and lasting fulfillment
• How to stop looking for approval and start trusting your own path
• Why rejection, setbacks, and uncertainty are part of every meaningful journey
• How to keep moving forward even when you cannot yet see the destination
Your dreams were never meant to be easy. They were meant to transform you. Keep walking the road less traveled, keep betting on yourself, and remember that every step through fear is a step closer to becoming the person you were created to be.

| 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership: Q&A Season 1, w/ Ed Mylett | 30 juil. 2026 | 00:25:57 | |
📥 CLICK HERE to Download the free Leadership Workbook and submit your question for our Q&A with John and me.
Season 1 of the 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership has been the most downloaded series in the history of this show. And the questions you have been sending in have been just as good as anything John and I have covered together.
This one is just me speaking directly to you.
You all submitted thousands of questions through the workbook, and I sat down to go through the ones that kept coming up over and over again like:
How to build real confidence when you don't feel qualified
How to walk into a broken culture without making it worse
What the most important law is in the age of AI
How to balance results with actually investing in your people
What I would go back and tell my 27-year-old self if I could
That last one is the one I want you to pay close attention to. Because I made mistakes as a young leader that cost me relationships, cost me trust, and cost me time I will never get back. I talk about them honestly in this episode because I think you learning from my mistakes means you might not have to make your own.
These are the questions I wish someone had sat down and answered for me when I was coming up. Nobody did. So I am doing it for you now. Go watch this episode. And when you are done, send it to somebody who needs it.
Season 2 starts next week. We are going into Laws 8 through 14 with John Maxwell and I promise you it goes even deeper than Season 1. If you thought the first seven laws were good, you have not seen anything yet. Make sure you are subscribed and make sure you have the workbook so you can follow along and submit your questions as we go.

| Why I Gave My AI Access to Everything Feat. Peter Diamandis | 28 juil. 2026 | 01:01:13 | |
He named his AI, "Skippy". He gave it access to his iMessages, his emails, every conversation he has. And he says it's the smartest thing he's ever done.
Every time Peter Diamandis comes on this show, downloads go through the roof. There's a reason for that. He doesn't just talk about the future. He's building it.
Peter brings something to this conversation that almost no one else on earth can: a front-row seat to where the world is actually going, backed by 28 companies, decades of relationships with Elon Musk, Larry Page, Eric Schmidt, and the architects of AI, and the kind of credibility that only comes from being right about the future over and over again.
In this conversation, Peter lays out his clearest vision yet of the next decade: ambient AI that knows your schedule before you do, a billion humanoid robots on the streets within ten years, the reversal of aging becoming a clinical reality, and the democratization of health care that will save more lives than any drug ever has.
He also doesn't soften the turbulence that comes first, a 2-to-8-year window of real social and economic disruption that most people are completely unprepared for. I push him on the things people are afraid to ask: whether privacy is actually already gone, whether a solopreneur with AI can become a billionaire, and what the difference is between passion and purpose.
Here's what you'll gain from this episode:
•The 6-Year Storm: Peter's honest prediction for the turbulence ahead, who gets hit hardest, and the one mindset shift that determines whether you come out the other side as a creator or a consumer.
•Aging Is About to Become Optional: What longevity escape velocity actually means and how AI could double the human lifespan within ten years.
•Passion vs. Purpose: The distinction between passion & purpose, and why getting this wrong is the most expensive mistake a person can make right now.
•Privacy Is Already Gone: Peter's most controversial take, why he named his own AI "Skippy" and gave it access to everything, and why the trade-off is about to become the most obvious decision most people have ever made.
•The Terminator Future vs. the Star Trek Future: How Hollywood has been programming us for the wrong outcomes with AI, and negatively impacting the future of civilization
Stop what you are doing and go watch this episode right now. This is one of those conversations that changes how you see the world.

| How to Build Unshakable Self Confidence From Scratch | Ed Mylett | 25 juil. 2026 | 01:35:49 | |
What if confidence isn't something you're born with, but something you build one promise at a time?
In this mashup episode, I bring together four incredible conversations that completely changed the way I think about confidence, purpose, and creating a life you're proud of. The truth is, most people spend their lives waiting to feel confident before they take action. But confidence isn't something you discover. It's something you earn. It's built every time you keep a promise to yourself, trust your instincts when everyone else says you're wrong, and choose courage over comfort. If you've been battling self doubt or questioning whether you're capable of more, this episode is exactly what you need.
Brendon Burchard and I dive deep into what self confidence really is, and why it's not about external validation or achieving a certain result. We talk about building trust with yourself by keeping your commitments, creating momentum through small daily wins, and why your intentions matter just as much as your abilities. I also share the mindset shifts that have helped me overcome self doubt throughout my own life, because I've struggled with confidence just like so many of you.
Jamie Kern Lima reminds us what happens when you refuse to let rejection define your future. After hearing "no" for years, she stayed true to her vision, trusted her intuition, and ultimately built one of the most successful beauty brands in the world. Ryan Serhant shares how confidence isn't something reserved for a lucky few. It's an energy you choose to embody before anyone else believes in you. And Tom Papa offers one of the most refreshing perspectives you'll ever hear about purpose, fulfillment, and embracing the life you're meant to live instead of comparing yourself to everyone else. Each conversation reinforces the same powerful truth. Your confidence grows every time you choose to believe in yourself before the world gives you permission.
I truly believe your life changes the moment you stop waiting to feel ready. You don't need more talent. You don't need everyone else's approval. You need to start trusting yourself enough to take the next step. Confidence isn't built overnight. It's built daily through discipline, faith, intention, and the willingness to keep showing up. My hope is this episode reminds you that everything you've been looking for is already inside you. Now it's time to start acting like it.
Key Takeaways:
Why self confidence is built by keeping the promises you make to yourself
Brendon Burchard's framework for creating lasting confidence through daily habits
Jamie Kern Lima's inspiring lesson on trusting your intuition even after years of rejection
Ryan Serhant's concept of building the energy that attracts opportunities and success
Why your intentions create confidence even before your results do
Tom Papa's perspective on choosing a meaningful life instead of chasing someone else's version of success
How to silence self doubt by building trust with yourself one decision at a time
Why your greatest breakthrough often begins the moment you stop waiting for permission
You were never meant to live a life controlled by fear or self doubt. You were created to trust yourself, step boldly into your purpose, and become the person you're capable of being. Confidence isn't waiting for you. It's waiting to be built.

You asked. John answered. This is the Season 1 Q&A with John Maxwell.
After seven laws and seven weeks of building the foundation of great leadership, John Maxwell and I sat down to answer the questions YOU submitted. What came out of this conversation surprised even me. Some of the best moments between John and me have happened off camera over the years, and this one felt like we were able to bring some of that onto the show.
We received over 15,000 questions from all of you, and my team and I combed through every single one of them to find the ones that kept coming up over and over again. What we landed on covers the full range: family leadership, business leadership, leading through uncertainty, and questions that start setting the stage for what's coming in Season 2.
There is something that happens when John and I get in a room together that I genuinely can't manufacture. This man has poured into me for years in ways most of you have never seen, and in this episode some of that spills out in real time. John got emotional. I shared something personal that brought the whole series full circle. And there were moments in this conversation where I looked at him and thought: this is exactly why we do this.
Whether you have been with us since Law 1 or you are jumping in for the first time today, this is the one you do not want to miss.

| Making It Without Losing Yourself Feat. Jess Ekstrom | 21 juil. 2026 | 01:00:07 | |
What would you ask if your uncle was Bernie Madoff? My guest actually sat across from him in prison and the conversation changed the course of her life forever.
When I found out that today's guest, Jess Ekstrom, is Bernie Madoff's great niece, I knew we had to start there. Her family didn't just watch one of the biggest financial scandals in history unfold on television. They lived it. They lost nearly everything. Years later, Jess made the decision to visit Bernie Madoff in prison, searching for answers that most people would never have the courage to ask. What he confessed to her during that visit was shocking. He told her that his downfall didn't begin with money or investing. It began as a lonely child trying to buy friendship and approval. That conversation became the foundation for everything Jess teaches today about success, validation, and living a meaningful life.
But this episode is about so much more than Bernie Madoff. Jess went on to build an incredible business, sell it for millions, and accomplish goals most entrepreneurs spend a lifetime chasing. Yet after reaching everything she thought would finally make her happy, she realized something almost all high achievers eventually discover. Achievement alone cannot give you fulfillment. We unpack the dangerous "arrival trap" that keeps so many people believing happiness is always waiting on the other side of the next accomplishment.
We also dive into the stories we tell ourselves that quietly shape our entire lives. Jess shares how one childhood moment convinced her she wasn't good with numbers, even though she eventually built multiple successful companies. We talk about comparison versus inspiration, why your greatest limitations often begin with a single belief, and how changing your story can completely change your future. This conversation is filled with practical wisdom for anyone who wants to pursue big dreams without sacrificing joy along the way.
One of my favorite moments is when Jess shares her incredible framework of becoming a lighthouse instead of a spotlight. That lesson alone is worth listening to this episode. Whether you're building a business, leading a team, raising a family, or simply trying to become the best version of yourself, this conversation will challenge you to stop chasing validation and start building a life rooted in purpose.
Key Takeaways:
The shocking lesson Jess learned from visiting Bernie Madoff in prison
Why the need for approval can quietly shape the direction of your entire life
How to avoid the "arrival trap" that keeps high achievers chasing fulfillment
The difference between comparison and inspiration and why it changes everything
How changing one limiting story can transform your future
Why becoming a lighthouse instead of a spotlight will make you a better leader and communicator
If you've ever wondered why success doesn't always bring happiness, or you've been chasing a future that never seems to arrive, this conversation will completely change the way you think about ambition, fulfillment, and the life you're building.

| The 3-Step Mind Routine That Attracts Anything You Want | Ed Mylett | 18 juil. 2026 | 01:30:49 | |
What if the life you want isn't waiting for luck to find you, but for you to become the person who can attract it?
In this mashup episode, I bring together some of my favorite conversations about one of the most misunderstood concepts in personal growth: attraction. I'm not talking about wishful thinking or hoping the universe magically hands you your dreams. I'm talking about becoming the kind of person whose mindset, habits, standards, and energy naturally pull the right opportunities, relationships, and success into your life. Ryan Pineda, Lewis Howes, Jay Shetty, Dan Martell, Tom Bilyeu, and I dive into what it really takes to create a life that reflects your highest potential instead of your biggest fears.
Ryan Pineda and I unpack why discomfort is often the greatest advantage you'll ever have. We discuss why success isn't about escaping hard work, but learning to love the process of becoming. Lewis Howes and I explore confidence, intention, and why the promises you keep to yourself ultimately shape the person you become. Jay Shetty reminds us that greatness isn't measured by how many people know your name. It's measured by how many lives you impact through service. Every one of these conversations reinforces the same truth. The person you become is far more important than the things you accumulate.
Dan Martell and I talk about becoming "the one" who changes the trajectory of your family and your future. We discuss how the mistakes you're most ashamed of may actually become the greatest qualification you have to help someone else. Tom Bilyeu and I break down why time is one of your greatest assets and how intentionally designing your days allows you to create extraordinary momentum. Throughout these conversations, I also share the three step mental routine that has transformed my own life by helping me focus on what I want instead of what I fear.
I truly believe you were born to do something extraordinary with your life. The challenge is that too many people spend their lives operating from old conditioning, fear, and limiting beliefs instead of intention and possibility. When you begin to change your thoughts, raise your standards, and intentionally pursue the emotions and life you truly desire, everything around you begins to change. The opportunities were always there. You simply become the person capable of seeing them.
Key Takeaways:
• Why your thoughts become the currency you use to purchase your future
• Ryan Pineda on embracing discomfort as the foundation for long term success
• Lewis Howes on building confidence by keeping the promises you make to yourself
• Jay Shetty's reminder that serving others is one of the fastest paths to living a meaningful life
• Dan Martell on becoming the person who changes your family's future and why your greatest struggles often become your greatest strengths
• Tom Bilyeu's practical strategies for mastering time and creating momentum every single day
• Why intention, repetition, and environment shape the life you ultimately attract
• How changing who you are on the inside transforms what becomes possible on the outside
You are far closer to the life you want than you think. One decision, one new belief, one courageous action, and one more intentional day can completely change your future. I hope this episode reminds you that you were never meant to live an average life. You were born to do something great, and that journey begins with the person you choose to become today.

| John Maxwell's #7 Law of Leadership: The Law of Respect | 16 juil. 2026 | 00:17:42 | |
📥 CLICK HERE to Download the free Leadership Workbook and submit your question for our Q&A with John and me.
People don't follow titles. They follow strength, clarity, conviction, and most of all, character. Respect is earned long before loyalty is ever given.
This is the Season One finale of our series on John Maxwell's 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership, and Law #7 is the Law of Respect: people naturally follow leaders stronger than themselves. That doesn't mean louder. It doesn't mean more dominant. It means people are drawn to leaders who carry substance.
John breaks down the six ways leaders earn genuine respect and gives two acid tests that will tell you immediately whether your people truly respect you or whether they're just showing up. His framework for understanding why you can only attract leaders as strong as you are is one of the most clarifying things I've heard in any leadership conversation.
I close this one with something I come back to constantly in my own life and in my book Max Out Your Life: real confidence doesn't need to announce itself. It carries itself. People can feel when a leader is secure versus when they're compensating.
And the question I want you to sit with this week is the one that closes the season: are you trying to get respect, or are you becoming respectable? There is a world of difference between those two things.
Here's what you'll gain from this episode:
Respect Is Not Requested. It Is Recognized: Why the leaders who chase respect consistently lose it, and what the ones who command it are actually doing differently.
The Six Ways to Earn Respect: John's complete framework for building the kind of respect that makes people choose to follow you, and the one most leaders overlook entirely.
You Attract Who You Are: Why the caliber of people around you right now is the most honest reflection of your leadership level, and what to do about it.
The Two Acid Tests: The only two questions you need to answer to know immediately whether your people truly respect you as a leader.
Real Confidence Carries Itself: Why the strongest leaders don't announce themselves, and how to build the kind of internal identity that people feel before you ever say a word.
Before we move into Season Two, John and I are doing something we have never done before. For the next two Thursdays, we are sitting down together to answer your questions from Season One! If you have been watching these laws and something hit you, challenged you, or left you wondering how to apply it in your life or your business, this is your moment. There is still time to submit your question. Click the link HERE right now to get it in front of John and me.
Tune in the next two Thursdays for the Q&A episodes, and then get ready because Season Two is coming, and it goes deeper into everything Season One built.

| How to Remake Yourself Feat. Ryan Kalish | 14 juil. 2026 | 00:55:25 | |
He played in the big leagues, wore the Red Sox jersey, and had 14 surgeries trying to keep a dream alive. Then the career ended. And in the silence that followed, Ryan Kalish almost didn't make it through.
Ryan is not the kind of guest I typically have on this show. He doesn't have a bestselling book or a company that just crossed a hundred million. What he has is a story that stopped me cold on Instagram months ago. I was scrolling and I saw this guy on a street somewhere in the world, walking up to a man who was homeless, and he bathed him and gave him a haircut and got him some food. I thought: who is that? I looked him up. And I thought, "I have to have him on.
"Ryan brings something to this conversation that is rare: the honesty of a man who was at rock bottom and didn't dress it up. He talks about the dark thoughts after his career ended, the substances he used to self-soothe, the spiritual calling that kept finding him even when he ran from it, and the moment sitting by a river in Austin, Texas, where it all clicked.
He has now served orphans, refugees, and vulnerable people across Indonesia, Thailand, Uganda, India, Jordan, Tanzania, Egypt, and more, largely on his own dime. His 70-year-old father is his cameraman.
I ask Ryan questions I think most people are afraid to ask: what does it actually feel like to do this? Is it lonely? Is it worth it? What did you have to let go of to get here? And I push Ryan on whether the hit he gets from feeding someone who's starving compares to circling the bases after a home run. His answer stops the conversation.
Here's what you'll gain from this episode:
What to do When You're Feeling Helpless: The reframe that unlocks everything for anyone sitting in a hard season wondering what to do next.
Your Old Identity Has to Die: What Ryan had to pluck out of himself to make room for who he was becoming, and why the most painful part of reinvention is also the most necessary.
You Don't Have to Be Qualified: Why the people least likely to think they can make a difference are exactly the ones who should
Collective Consciousness: Learn about the only thing that will actually change the world at scale.
This is an episode you will share with everyone you know!

| 8 Hidden Signs Your Ego is Slowly Ruining Your Life | Ed Mylett | 11 juil. 2026 | 01:30:47 | |
What if the biggest thing standing between you and the life you want isn't your circumstances, but the masks you've been wearing?
In this mashup episode, I bring together four extraordinary conversations that all point to one life changing truth. You cannot experience real peace, fulfillment, or freedom until you stop trying to become someone else and start embracing who you truly are. So many of us spend our lives chasing success, approval, achievement, or perfection because we believe those things will finally make us feel worthy. But the truth is, no amount of money, recognition, or accomplishment can heal what we refuse to face inside ourselves. This episode is about dropping the ego, letting go of shame, and finally living from a place of authenticity.
Tom Papa and I have an honest conversation about the difference between confidence and ego, and why humility is actually one of the greatest strengths a person can develop. Lewis Howes shares one of the most vulnerable stories ever told on this show, revealing how years of hiding pain behind achievement kept him from experiencing true freedom. His courage reminds us that our greatest breakthroughs often begin the moment we stop pretending we have it all together. These conversations are powerful reminders that vulnerability is not weakness. It is where real strength begins.
You'll also hear an incredible conversation with Dr. G as we explore how shame becomes trapped in the body and silently shapes the way we think, react, and experience life. She explains why healing isn't about becoming someone new, but about reconnecting with who you've always been underneath the fear, the pain, and the conditioning. Then LeAnn Rimes opens up about navigating criticism, anxiety, and the pressure of living under the world's expectations while learning to define herself from the inside out instead of through other people's opinions. Her honesty is something every one of us can relate to, no matter where we are in life.
I believe one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself is the freedom to stop performing and simply start living as your authentic self. The people who inspire us the most are rarely the ones who appear perfect. They are the ones who have the courage to be real. If you've been carrying shame, chasing approval, or believing that achievement will finally make you enough, this episode is your invitation to let that weight go. The world doesn't need another version of someone else. It needs the person you were created to be.
Key Takeaways:
Why confidence and ego are completely different and how humility creates lasting success
Tom Papa's perspective on balancing ambition with authenticity
Lewis Howes' powerful lesson on removing the masks that keep us disconnected from ourselves
Why vulnerability is one of the greatest strengths a leader can possess
Dr. G's insights on how shame becomes stored in the body and how healing begins
How LeAnn Rimes learned to separate her identity from criticism and public opinion
Why seeking approval from others will never replace believing in yourself
The freedom that comes from embracing your authentic self instead of chasing perfection
The greatest version of your life begins the moment you stop trying to earn your worth and start believing you already have it. My hope is that this episode gives you the courage to let go of the masks, trust who you really are, and step fully into the life you were created to live.

| John Maxwell's #6 Law of Leadership: The Law of Solid Ground | 09 juil. 2026 | 00:17:37 | |
📥 CLICK HERE to Download the free Leadership Workbook and submit your question for our Q&A with John and me.
If people don't trust you, they may listen for a season. But they will never fully follow who you are.
Law #6 of John Maxwell's 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership is the Law of Solid Ground, and the principle is this: trust is the foundation of leadership. Everything else stands on it. Without it, every decision gets questioned, every motive gets doubted, and every relationship becomes fragile.
In this episode, John teaches this law with one of the most memorable frameworks in the entire series — a simple illustration that will change how you think about every decision you make as a leader and every interaction you have with the people around you. He also shares the story of a Wall Street Journal interview that stopped a reporter cold, and the answer he gave is one I think about constantly.
I open this episode with something that connects directly to John's teaching: why the promises you make to yourself are the foundation of everything else, and why the person you are in private is ultimately the leader people experience in public.
Here's what you'll gain from this episode:
Change in Your Pocket: John's framework for understanding exactly how trust is built and lost, and the question every leader needs to ask themselves before their next meeting.
There Is No Such Thing as Business Ethics: The story John told the Wall Street Journal and what it reveals about the only standard that actually holds up under pressure.
Character Plus Competence: Why having great character but low competence still fails your team, and why one can never substitute for the other.
The Integrity Test: John's single question that tells you immediately whether your leadership is getting stronger or weaker over time.
Trust Is Built in Small Moments: Why the private decisions you make when no one is watching are the ones that determine whether people fully follow you or just show up.

| How to Stop Defining Yourself by Your Failures Feat. Dr. Nate Zinsser | 07 juil. 2026 | 00:39:55 | |
You think you know what confidence is. You don't. Not yet.
I brought Dr. Nate Zinsser onto this show because what he teaches is unlike anything you have heard in any self-help book or motivational speech. He is the director of West Point's Performance Psychology Program. He has spent 30 years teaching the most elite military leaders, Olympic athletes, and pro sports teams in the world how to build real, unshakable confidence from the inside out. He is the psychologist behind Eli Manning's two Super Bowl victories over my Patriots, and I'll never forgive him for it.
But here is what got me. This is not about pumping yourself up. This is about rewiring your brain at the neurological level so that confidence becomes your default. And every single one of you can do it starting today.
Here is what you will gain from this episode:
The Psychological Bank Account: Learn the exact exercise Dr. Zinsser gives every West Point cadet to build a foundation of confidence from the memories and experiences you already have
The Five Minute Daily Practice: Discover the single most powerful mental training habit you can build, three questions at the end of every day that literally rewire your brain for confidence
Temporary vs. Permanent: Understand how the most confident people in the world process setbacks differently and how to adopt their framework starting today
You Are Not a Failure: Learn the most important distinction in this entire episode. You may have failed at something. That does not make you a failure. Dr. Zinsser explains how to stop letting that one lie destroy your confidence
Preparation and Performance: Find out why the psychology of preparation and the psychology of performance are completely different and why confusing them is costing you

| The Thoughts You’re Thinking Right Now Are DESTROYING Your Future | Ed Mylett | 04 juil. 2026 | 01:50:44 | |
What if the greatest upgrade you'll ever make isn't to your business or your body, but to your brain?
In this mashup episode, I bring together some of the brightest minds in neuroscience, peak performance, and human potential to answer one of the most important questions you'll ever ask: how do you unlock the best version of yourself? So many people believe they're limited by talent, circumstances, or intelligence. The truth is that your brain is constantly changing, adapting, and responding to what you focus on every single day. When you learn how to direct your attention, strengthen your mindset, and intentionally train your mind, you begin changing your future long before your circumstances change.
Jim Kwik joins me to break down how your brain filters the world and why your standards matter even more than your goals. We unpack the incredible power of your reticular activating system and how asking better questions literally changes what opportunities you begin to notice. Dr. Joe Dispenza explains how your personality creates your personal reality and why lasting transformation starts by rewiring the thoughts and beliefs you've been carrying for years. Together, we explore why your mind is far more powerful than you've ever been taught to believe.
You'll also hear an incredible conversation with Dr. Amishi Jha about the science of attention and memory. She reveals why attention is the gateway to learning, performance, and lasting memories, and why the ability to stay present has become one of the greatest competitive advantages in today's distracted world. We dive into how every experience is shaping your brain, why focus strengthens memory, and how training your attention can improve every area of your life from business to relationships to personal fulfillment.
Throughout this episode, I challenge you to stop believing that your current thinking has to become your permanent reality. The brain is designed to adapt. Your identity can expand. Your focus can improve. Your habits can change. When you begin controlling what you repeatedly think about and where you intentionally place your attention, you start creating a completely different future. Your greatest asset has always been sitting between your ears. The question is whether you're training it with the same intensity you train everything else.
Key Takeaways:
Why your attention determines the quality of your life and your future
Jim Kwik's explanation of how your brain filters opportunities through the reticular activating system
Why your standards shape your results more than your goals
Dr. Joe Dispenza's insight that your personality becomes your personal reality
How changing your thinking creates lasting personal transformation
Dr. Amishi Jha's explanation of why attention is the gateway to memory and learning
How being more present improves performance, relationships, and decision making
Practical ways to retrain your brain to create greater focus, confidence, and success
Your brain is the most valuable asset you'll ever own, but most people spend more time upgrading their phone than upgrading the way they think. If you're ready to become more focused, more intentional, and more capable than you've ever been before, this episode will give you the tools to start transforming your life from the inside out.

| John Maxwell's #5 Law of Leadership: The Law of Addition | 02 juil. 2026 | 00:24:34 | |
There are two kinds of leaders. One walks into a room and says: "Here I am." The other walks in and says: "There you are." Everything about the Law of Addition comes down to which one you are.
📥 CLICK HERE to Download the free Leadership Workbook and submit your question for our Q&A with John and me.
Law #5 of John Maxwell's 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership is the Law of Addition, and the principle is this: leaders add value by serving others. It sounds simple. John will tell you it is one of the hardest laws to consistently live, because it cuts against almost everything our culture teaches about success. We are taught to climb, to get noticed, to win. And winning matters. But building something great also matters. And you cannot build something great while making the people around you feel small.
John breaks down the five specific ways leaders add value and draws one of the sharpest distinctions I've heard in any leadership teaching: the difference between "I deserve" and "I serve." One letter separates those two words. An entire leadership philosophy separates the leaders who live them.
I open this one by sharing something I think about constantly: the job of a leader is to transfer belief. Not just skills, not just information, but belief. When you pour belief into someone, they want to live up to it. They want to return the investment. And I push this law into the place most high achievers are afraid to look: home. Because one of the most dangerous patterns I see is leaders who add value publicly and subtract value privately.
Here's what you'll gain from this episode:
"Here I Am" vs. "There You Are": The two types of leaders John describes, and the one question that will immediately tell you which one you've been.
I Deserve vs. I Serve: The single line that separates leaders who build real influence from leaders who only have a title.
The Five Ways Leaders Add Value: John's specific, practical framework for how to actually do this, starting today, without a platform or a title.
Belief Transfer: Why the most important thing you can give the people you lead isn't a skill or a strategy — and what happens when someone finally receives it.
Leadership Starts at Home: The rep for this week, and why the law of addition has to begin with the people closest to you before it can mean anything anywhere else.
This series releases every Thursday and each law builds on the last. If you haven't grabbed the free 21-page workbook yet, click the link below. It's the only way to track your progress law by law and get your questions in front of John and me for the upcoming live Q&A sessions.

| Robert Herjavec on The Truth About Success, Shark Tank, & Entrepreneurship | 30 juin 2026 | 00:44:37 | |
He came to North America at age 8 from communist Yugoslavia with one suitcase, no connections, and parents who had nothing to give him but opportunity. Robert Herjavec turned that into a $500 million cybersecurity empire. One inch at a time.
Robert brings something rare to this conversation: 22 years on Shark Tank, multiple exits, and a front-row seat to what separates businesses that actually scale from ones that just make noise. He's watched thousands of entrepreneurs pitch, fail, succeed, and lie to themselves about which one they're doing.
His perspective on where the economy is heading, what AI is actually going to destroy, why most people raise money way too early, and what it genuinely costs to build something lasting is as grounded and unfiltered as anything I've heard from anyone at his level.
In this conversation, I push Robert on whether Shark Tank has actually done damage to a generation of entrepreneurs, a question I've asked Damon and Barbara that nobody has answered the way Robert does here. I challenge him on the influencer economy and what it's doing to people's perception of what building a business really looks like. And I get personal with him about faith, fathers, and whether the grind of it all is worth it at this pace.
Here's what you'll gain from this episode:
One Inch at a Time: The philosophy Robert has carried since he was 22 years old, and how it connects directly to my "Power of One More" framework - the core of how both Robert and I approach the hardest days in business and in life.
What Shark Tank Actually Did to Entrepreneurship: Robert gives the most honest answer I've ever heard from a Shark on whether the show did damage to a generation of entrepreneurs.
Hold Your Equity: Why Robert has self-funded every business he's ever built, the advice that shaped that conviction, and a warning about raising money early.
Where AI and the Trades Are Heading: Robert's specific read on which industries are about to be wiped out and which are going to double in income.
Good Doesn't Mean Weak: The tough lesson both Robert and I learned the hard way and what you should do instead.
This conversation went places neither of us planned, and I think that's what makes it one of my favorites.

| The Most Important Conversation You’ll Ever Have With Yourself | Ed Mylett | 27 juin 2026 | 01:41:08 | |
What if the person holding you back isn't anyone else, but the voice you hear every single day inside your own mind?
In this mashup episode, I bring together two of the most powerful conversations I've ever had about identity, self respect, and the stories we tell ourselves. The greatest battle you'll ever fight isn't with your competitors, your circumstances, or even your past. It's with the conversation you're having with yourself every single day. Because the quality of your life will always rise or fall to the quality of that internal dialogue. If you don't believe you're worthy of more, you'll never fight for more. But once you change the way you see yourself, everything around you begins to change.
Leila Hormozi shares one of the most profound questions I've ever heard: "Do I respect myself more or less because of this decision?" That simple filter has the power to transform your relationships, your career, your habits, and every choice you make. We talk about why self respect is built through daily actions, not empty affirmations, and why discipline is one of the greatest acts of self love you can give yourself. When you begin making decisions that honor who you want to become, your confidence naturally grows because you're finally keeping the promises you make to yourself.
Nick Santonastasso delivers one of the most inspiring stories you'll ever hear. Born without legs and with one arm, Nick refused to let the world define what was possible for his life. His willingness to embrace discomfort, overcome impossible odds, and chase his dream of becoming a varsity wrestler proves that confidence isn't something you're born with. It's a skill you build through courage, action, and relentless belief. His story is a reminder that your circumstances never determine your future. Your decisions do.
Throughout this episode, I challenge you to stop waiting for permission, stop believing the old stories you've repeated for years, and start becoming the person you were created to be. You don't need to become someone else to change your life. You need to start having a different conversation with yourself. The moment you begin treating yourself with greater discipline, greater respect, and greater belief, you'll unlock a version of yourself that's been waiting to emerge all along.
Key Takeaways:
• Why the conversation you have with yourself determines the direction of your life• Leila Hormozi's powerful question that instantly improves your decision making: "Do I respect myself more or less?"• Why self discipline is one of the purest expressions of self love• How keeping promises to yourself builds unshakable confidence• Nick Santonastasso's incredible lesson that confidence is a skill, not a personality trait• Why your circumstances never have the final say over your future• How to replace limiting stories with empowering beliefs that create lasting change• Why becoming your best self is one of the greatest gifts you can give the people you love
If you're ready to stop letting fear, doubt, or your past define your future, this episode will challenge you to raise your standards, rewrite your story, and start becoming the person you were always capable of being.

| John Maxwell's #4 Law of Leadership: The Law of Navigation | 25 juin 2026 | 00:18:33 | |
When uncertainty hits, people stop and look around for someone who knows where they're going. The question is whether that person is you.
📥 CLICK HERE to Download the free Leadership Workbook and submit your question for our Q&A with John and me.
Law #4 of John Maxwell's 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership is the Law of Navigation, and the principle is simple: anyone can steer the ship, but it takes a leader to chart the course. Leadership isn't just forward motion. It's knowing where you're headed, selling that destination to the people around you, and keeping everyone moving in one direction when the road gets hard... and it always gets hard.
John brings one of his most practical frameworks to this episode: the difference between a travel agent and a tour guide. He breaks down how to tell which one you are, and the steps you need to take to become a true leader and get others to the top with you. John also breaks down the three things every navigating leader must do and he gives a step-by-step framework, PLAN AHEAD, that he developed as a young leader in his twenties and has used for over 25 years.
I open this episode with something I've sat with for a long time: what it means to lead on the lonely road, why the narrow path in life and in business is the one worth staying on, and how your job as a leader is to make the destination visible enough that people stay the course even when they can't see it yet.
Here's what you'll gain from this episode:
Travel Agent vs. Tour Guide: The distinction John draws here will change how you think about your role as a leader and whether the people around you are actually being led or just sent.
See More. See Farther. See Before: The three things that separate navigating leaders from everyone else, and why it has nothing to do with IQ.
The Lonely Road: Why the narrow path feels isolated and why that's actually a sign you're on the right one.
PLAN AHEAD: John's step-by-step framework for navigating from where you are to where you need to go, built for the moments when the path forward isn't clear.
Expect Problems: The one mindset shift that turns obstacles from evidence of failure into proof that you're actually moving.

| Gary Vaynerchuk on AI, Self-Awareness, and Why Almost Everyone Is Pretending | 23 juin 2026 | 01:03:22 | |
Can you imagine getting to the end of your life only to realize you pretended the whole way there?
Gary Vee looked at me and said: "Almost everyone does."
I've wanted to have this conversation for a long time. Gary Vaynerchuk is one of the most visionary, most generous, and most honest voices in the history of entrepreneurship. He didn't just see TikTok before anyone else. He saw Twitter, he saw NFTs, he saw the iPhone. He's been right about the future consistently, and he does it all without asking a dime from the millions of people he's helped along the way.
In this conversation, Gary and I go places I don't think either of us expected. We talk about AI and why the window to get ahead of it is closing faster than most people realize. We go deep on self-awareness as the foundation of every success in business and in life, and why most people are gambling instead of building without even knowing it.
Gary breaks down the only content strategy that actually works: stop chasing where you think the money is and make content about what you know or love.
We also get personal. Really personal. About our parents, about the fuel behind everything we've built, and about what it actually means to live a life that's yours and not a performance for somebody else. This one hit me in a way I didn't see coming.
Here's what you'll gain from this powerful episode:
Self-Awareness Is the Whole Game: Gary's single most important principle for building anything in business or life, and why most people skip it entirely and pay for it later.
AI Won't Kill You. A Human Using AI Will: Why you cannot afford to wait on this technology, and the exact first steps Gary recommends for getting started today no matter what industry you're in.
Make Content Around What You Know or Love: Gary's no-BS framework for building a brand that lasts, and why chasing trends or money in your content will quietly destroy everything you're building.
Macro Patience, Micro Speed: The mindset that separates people who build real wealth from people who gamble it away, and why Gary talks about patience so much while operating at full speed every single day.
The Analog Opportunity in a Digital World: Gary's prediction for where the biggest business opportunities will be as AI takes over: physical, real-life, community-driven experiences that no algorithm can replace.
If you've ever wondered what it feels like to truly stop performing and start living, this is the episode. Gary Vee is a force for good, and I'm grateful to share this conversation with you.

| Break the Patterns that Hold You Back & Start Creating Real Wealth | Ed Mylett | 20 juin 2026 | 01:36:04 | |
What if the biggest thing standing between you and the life you want isn’t your circumstances, but the patterns you keep repeating?
In this powerful mashup episode, I bring together some of the most transformational conversations I've ever had about breaking free from the habits, beliefs, and emotional patterns that silently shape our lives. So many people think their future is determined by their past, but what you're about to hear will challenge that idea completely. From wealth creation and personal growth to healing and spiritual awareness, these conversations reveal how your life can change the moment you become conscious of the patterns you've been running and decide to create new ones.
Tony Robbins shares why most people stay trapped in fear, stress, and survival mode, and how changing your state and physiology can unlock a future far bigger than your current circumstances. He breaks down why a compelling future is essential for success and why the stories we tell ourselves determine the direction of our lives. John Edward adds a powerful perspective on self-awareness and personal responsibility, explaining how recognizing the patterns that drain your energy is often the first step toward meaningful change.
Gabby Bernstein opens up about the hidden emotional triggers and protective behaviors that keep so many people stuck. Together, we explore how our past experiences create unconscious reactions that continue to influence our decisions long after the original pain is gone. Dan Martell shares his incredible journey of transformation and reminds us that the very things we believe disqualify us from success are often the exact experiences that qualify us to help others and fulfill our purpose.
Throughout this episode, I challenge you to stop making excuses, stop letting fear dictate your future, and start becoming intentional about the emotions, habits, and beliefs that drive your life. The truth is that every breakthrough begins with awareness. Once you recognize the patterns that have been controlling you, they lose their power. That's when real change becomes possible.
If you've been feeling stuck, frustrated, or like you're capable of more than you're currently experiencing, this episode will give you the tools and perspective to break free. The life you want isn't waiting for a different version of you. It's waiting for you to finally let go of the patterns that no longer serve you and step into the person you were created to become.
Key Takeaways:
Why most people unknowingly live their lives through repeating emotional and behavioral patterns
Tony Robbins' strategy for breaking out of fear and creating a compelling future
How changing your physical state can immediately change your mental and emotional state
Why awareness is the first step to eliminating destructive patterns
Gabby Bernstein's insights on triggers, emotional wounds, and unconscious protective behaviors
How to stop allowing past experiences to dictate future decisions
John Edward's perspective on taking ownership of your energy and personal growth
Dan Martell's powerful lesson that your greatest struggles may be your greatest qualification
Why success requires responsibility, while excuses keep you trapped
How to intentionally create new patterns that lead to abundance, peace, and fulfillment

| John Maxwell's #3 Law of Leadership: The Law of Process | 18 juin 2026 | 00:16:36 | |
This is the leadership law that changed the trajectory of my entire family...
📥 CLICK HERE to Download the free Leadership Workbook and submit your question for our Q&A with John and me.
Welcome back to our series on John Maxwell's 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership. Law #3 is the Law of Process, and it cuts against everything social media is selling you right now. Leadership develops daily, not in a day.
In this episode, John dismantles one of the most damaging myths in leadership: that greatness is an event. He breaks down the critical difference between overestimating the event and underestimating the process, and why so many talented people get stuck, frustrated, and quit before their progress becomes visible.
John also draws one of the clearest distinctions I've heard in any leadership teaching: you can make a sudden decision, but you cannot make a sudden change. That is a process.
And then he says something I want you to hear: most organizations are trying to microwave their leaders. You can't microwave a leader. You have to crock-pot them.
I open this episode with something deeply personal: the story of my father's sobriety, and how his commitment to "one more day" is the most powerful picture of the Law of Process I have ever seen. My dad didn't become the man who changed our family in a single moment. He stacked days. And so do great leaders.
Here's what you'll gain from this episode:
The Event vs. The Process: Why we consistently overestimate what a single moment will do for us, and why the daily commitment to growth is the only thing that actually builds a leader over time.
You Can Make a Sudden Decision. You Cannot Make a Sudden Change: John's sharpest line in the episode, and the distinction that explains why so many people feel stuck even after making big commitments.
Stop Microwaving Leaders: Why trying to fast-track development creates Pop Tart leaders, and what the crock-pot approach to growing yourself and your team actually looks like in practice.
The Secret of Your Success Is in Your Daily Agenda: John's closing principle for the Law of Process: what you do every single day is the single best predictor of who you will become.
One More Day at a Time: My personal story about his father's sobriety, and why stacking small, invisible wins is exactly how leaders and families are transformed.

I have been wanting to do this episode for a long time.
This one is personal. I have spent most of my life grinding, building, and pushing myself to the limit. And somewhere along the way I stopped giving myself permission to actually live. Dr. Guy Winch is one of the world's leading psychologists. His TED talks have over 40 million views. His book, Mind Over Grind, is one of the most important books I have read in years. And he has the science to prove it.
Here is what you will gain from this episode:

Stop Ruminating: Learn the exact process for turning harmful work rumination into productive problem solving so your evenings belong to you again
Micro Breaks: Discover the research-backed practice that high performers use to actually perform better by working smarter throughout the day
The Transition Ritual: Get a practical step-by-step system for training your brain to clock out from work so you can be truly present at home
Challenge vs. Threat Mindset: Understand the single mental shift that separates people who perform under pressure from people who crumble under it
Stop kicking the can. The life you keep saying you will enjoy later is happening right now. Do not miss it.

| Cracking the Hidden Code to Visualize Your Dreams into Reality | Ed Mylett | 13 juin 2026 | 01:35:58 | |
What if the biggest thing standing between you and your dreams isn't your circumstances, but the story you've been telling yourself about what's possible?
In this powerful mashup episode, I bring together some of the most important conversations I've had about vision, belief, perseverance, and the incredible power of pursuing a dream that is bigger than your fears. You're going to hear why every person on this planet has a dream inside of them, whether they've acknowledged it or not, and why the quality of your life is often determined by the size of the vision you're willing to embrace. I share some of the most important lessons I've learned about leadership, selling yourself on your future, and developing the courage to pursue what you truly want, even when the path ahead feels uncertain.
You'll also hear from Drew Davis, whose story is one of the most inspiring examples of resilience and possibility I've ever encountered. Despite facing challenges that would cause many people to lower their expectations, Drew chose to build something extraordinary. He shares how creating Crippling Hot Sauce gave him purpose, confidence, and a vision that transformed not only his business but his entire life. His perspective on goals, growth, and refusing to let limitations define your future will challenge the way you think about your own potential.
Throughout this episode, I dive deep into why people quit on their dreams and what separates those who eventually win from those who don't. The truth is that most people don't fail because they lack talent. They fail because they allow fear, setbacks, criticism, or temporary adversity to become bigger than the dream they're chasing. I share why your vision must be connected to something greater than yourself and why love, purpose, and service create a level of motivation that fear can never overcome.
We also unpack the importance of building habits that reinforce your vision every single day. From mentally rehearsing success to touching your dreams before they've become reality, these are the practical disciplines that help you move from wishing to achieving. The people who create extraordinary lives aren't always the smartest or the most talented. They're the ones who continually resell themselves on their vision and refuse to negotiate with their future.
If you've been feeling stuck, discouraged, or disconnected from your purpose, this episode is your reminder that your dreams are not accidents. They are possibilities that were placed inside of you for a reason. The question isn't whether your dream is possible. The question is whether you're willing to keep believing in it long enough to make it real.
Key Takeaways:
Why every person has a dream and how vision gives life meaning
The difference between having a dream and actively pursuing one
How Drew Davis turned adversity into purpose and built a thriving business
Why goals create momentum and help you overcome life's challenges
The importance of attaching your dream to something bigger than yourself
How to stop negotiating with fear and start committing to your future
Practical ways to reinforce belief and build momentum every day
Why the people who win are often the people who simply refuse to quit
I want you to leave this episode with one conviction: you belong in your dreams. They were not given to you by accident. Stop negotiating with your fears, start reconnecting with your vision, and remember that the life you're capable of creating is often much bigger than the one you've allowed yourself to imagine.

| John Maxwell's #2 Law of Leadership: The Law of Influence | 11 juin 2026 | 00:16:34 | |
📥 CLICK HERE to Download the free Leadership Workbook and submit your question for our Q&A with John and me.
You've probably worked for someone with a big title and no real leadership. And you've probably watched someone with no title at all command the entire room. That gap has a name: the Law of Influence.
Welcome back to our series on John Maxwell's 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership. Law #2 cuts straight to the heart of what leadership actually is, and what it isn't. John teaches it simply: leadership is influence, nothing more, nothing less. Not your title, not your position, not who hired you or who you're over. Influence.
In this episode, John breaks down one of his most powerful frameworks: the Five Levels of Leadership. It starts at the bottom, where people follow you because they have to, and it builds to the top, where people follow you because of who you've become and what you've poured into others. Most people are stuck at Level One and don't even know it. This episode shows you exactly where you are, where you need to go, and how to start building the kind of influence that actually moves people.
John also makes clear something I believe deeply: true influence isn't only for executives or managers. It applies to parents, coaches, teammates, and anyone who has ever wanted to bring out the best in someone else.
Here's what you'll gain from this episode:
Leadership Is Influence: Why John's most foundational law redefines everything you thought you knew about what it means to lead, and why your title may actually be working against you.
The Five Levels of Leadership: John's complete framework for understanding where you are as a leader today and the specific path to growing your influence at every level.
Level One vs. Level Two: The single most important shift in your leadership journey: moving from people who follow you because they have to, to people who follow you because they want to.
Why Great Leaders Are Also Great Followers: How secure leaders pass the ball to whoever has the most influence in a given moment, and why that skill is what separates good leaders from great ones.
Adding Value Builds Influence: The practical action Ed closes with: one person this week, one intentional investment of belief and encouragement. That's how influence grows.
