EP115: The Overlap Between The Dream State and Psychedelic Healing17 Apr 202600:48:00

In this episode of The Dream World Podcast, I’m joined by Jeanie Love, a transpersonal trauma therapist and licensed psychedelic facilitator, to explore the powerful intersection between dreams, psychedelics, and healing. Jeanie is a trauma-informed therapist, psychedelic facilitator, and retreat host supporting individuals and couples through their authentic unfolding. Her integrative approach bridges psychology and spirituality, knowing when to lean into a more grounded, nervous system based approach versus a transpersonal approach.

Jeanie shares her work guiding clients through altered states of consciousness using modalities like ketamine and psilocybin, and how these experiences can support deep emotional processing, trauma healing, and personal transformation. We also dive into the fascinating parallels between psychedelic journeys and the dream state—both as tools for accessing the subconscious and making meaning from symbolic experiences.

We discuss:

  • What psychedelic-assisted therapy looks like in practice
  • How dreams become more vivid before and after psychedelic journeys
  • The role of integration and meaning-making after altered states
  • Why facilitators avoid imposing interpretation
  • The balance between control and surrender in dreams and psychedelics
  • Signs of resistance and how the mind copes in altered states
  • Common themes like ego death, flow, and interconnectedness
  • Dream incubation vs intention setting in psychedelic work
  • How to know if this type of therapy is right for you
  • The future of psychedelic therapy and consciousness exploration

Jeanie also explains how healing doesn’t come from being told the answers—but from learning how to sit with the experience and allow meaning to unfold naturally.  🌐 Learn more about Jeanie’s work at www.jeanie.love

EP114: A Field Guide to the DMT Realm08 Apr 202600:31:30

In this episode of The Dream World Podcast, I’m joined by author and researcher David J. Brown and artist and futurist Sara Phinn Huntley to explore the fascinating world of DMT entities.

We dive into their collaborative book, The Illustrated Field Guide to DMT Entities, and discuss the recurring beings reported across psychedelic journeys, lucid dreams, meditation, and other altered states of consciousness. From machine elves and mantis beings to mythological archetypes, this conversation explores the overlap between science, spirituality, and subjective experience.

Together, we discuss:

  • What DMT is and why it's called “the spirit molecule”
  • Common entities reported across DMT experiences
  • The famous “machine elves” and mantis beings
  • Parallels between DMT, lucid dreaming, and meditation
  • Whether these entities exist independently of the mind
  • Harm reduction and responsible exploration
  • Using dreams as a natural gateway to altered states
  • The intersection of art, technology, and psychedelic research

David and Sara also share how they cataloged hundreds of reports from research, folklore, and personal experiences to create a visual “field guide” to non-human intelligences encountered in altered states.

This episode explores one of the biggest questions in consciousness research:
Are these beings psychological archetypes — or something more?

EP105: Lucid Laughs & Dream Lessons13 Aug 202500:46:16

In this episode of The Dream World Podcast, I’m joined by Darrell from @IAMDarrellDigital. Hes a comedian, content creator, and lifelong lucid dreamer. We dive deep into his early dream memories, how he learned to fly and shapeshift in his lucid dreams, and the mysterious dream messages he received from his conscious.

Darrell shares how his dreams have evolved from fun experiments to deeply symbolic journeys, including a powerful dream involving a “yellow worm,” ancestral wisdom, and a message to shed his old identity. We also talk about parenting a young dreamer, building consistent dream maps, and using humor as a bridge between dream and waking life.

If you've ever wondered what it's like to meet your higher self in a lucid dream, or how to turn dream symbols into real-world transformation, this episode is for you.

EP14: Lucid Dreaming Crash Course Part II 29 Dec 202100:09:45

This is the first episode of our new series: The Lucid Dreaming Crash Course brought to you by The Dream World Podcast. In this series we will go over step by step tips on how to increase your lucid dreams and get the more out of your non lucid dreams as well! So if you are a beginner, or you already have lucid dreams and want to expand on it, this is perfect for you! This episode goes over the Mnemonic Induction Lucid Dream (MILD) technique! Throughout this series we will dive deeper into how to induce lucid dreams and build your own dream work practice. We will cover routines, sleep cycles, supplements & oneirogens, meditations, things to do while lucid, the science behind dreaming, the spirituality behind dreaming & SO MUCH MORE! Tune in weekly for this special series found only on The Dream World Podcast.

In the Mnemonic Induction Lucid Dream (MILD) technique, one rehearses a dream and visualizes becoming lucid while repeating a mantra expressing the same intention, such as: “Next time I’m dreaming I want to remember that I am dreaming.” For best results, it should be performed while returning to slumber during the Wake-Back-To-Bed (WBTB) technique, whereby one sets their alarm clock to one or two hours before their normal waking time, gets up for a few minutes, and then goes back to sleep.

This is one of the most reliable and versatile things you can do that can lead to amazing dream experiences. The great thigs about this method: All you need is a few minutes before bedtime. MILD is also complimented by WBTB and reality checking, but it can do very well as a stand alone method.

The MILD technique works on what we call 'prospective memory' – that is, your ability to remember to do things in the future. By repeating a phrase that you will remember you’re dreaming, it forms an intention in your mind that you will, in fact, remember that you are dreaming, leading to a lucid dream. There are other ways to help work on your prospective memory, and one of them is setting targets to try to remember things in the future.

Reach out if you have any specific topics or questions you want us to cover in upcoming episodes. We talk about dreams, spirituality, astral projection and all the mysteries of the universe!

EP13: Meditation & Dream Yoga 11 Dec 202100:34:21

Ryan J Burton is a Meditation instructor & the Host of a podcast called After Awakening.  He has been on multiple meditation retreats that have helped him deeply understand why incorporating meditation into his lifestyle was game changer. We talk about the benefits meditation can bring to your life and emotional state. As humans, we have a series of experiences that happen in linear time, which have a beginning and an end, that makes up our life. Meditation can awaken you to be able to understand life beyond the construct of our 3d reality, and see life from a higher, more accurate perspective. We can become in touch with who we are behind our thoughts and emotions and dissolve the boundaries of what and who we think we are. Mindfulness meditation and formal sitting meditation are just two of the many ways to practice meditation. Different forms and schools of meditation have different goals, and benefits. We encourage everyone to find their own path and personal practice.

Ryan also talks about Dream Yoga, a form of meditation that can help enhance dreams and lucidity. Dream yoga is a practice of combining meditation with sleep, particularly while first falling asleep, in the hypnogogic state, or when you first wake up and experience the hypnopompia state. You experiment with dream meditations and study your mind using the medium of dreams. As you pass in and out of the border of consciousness, and dreams come and go, Dream yoga meditations can help you realize the clear light of consciousness that lies beneath it all. Ryan mentions Samadhi, the highest state of consciousness one can achieve through meditation. It consists of a yoga practitioner reaching spiritual enlightenment where the self, the mind, and the object of meditation merge together into one.

EP12: Pregnancy, Parenting & Lucid Dreaming 20 Oct 202100:23:37

Our guest, Rachel, talks about her experiences as a lucid dreamer while pregnant, and how she used her lucidity to practice giving birth & be more prepared to ensure a smooth birthing process.  Pregnancy can be a stressful, powerful and spiritual experience for many women, and learning to use your dreams to ease your mind can help you not only prepare for your new child, but also understand some of the emotions you have been feeling as a result. It is this kind of mindful birthing experience that places mother and baby in a great position to elevate the consciousness. We also discuss some strategies for reality checks and active meditation in your waking life that can help increase your frequency of lucid dreams.

Supposedly, the pineal gland  produces large amounts of DMT in babies, up until around puberty, and is thought to be the reason for young children's imagination & a different perception of reality.  In addition to deep sleep and dream states, there are other points in our lives when we release DMT in high enough concentrations such as birth, labor, death, deep meditation, cosmic sex, lucid dreaming and near death experiences. I believe that having a higher consciousness or awareness involves being able to experience both worlds- the spiritual plane and the physical plane, simultaneously or to move between the two planes through your own will.

EP10: Secrets to manifestation14 Sep 202100:46:00

TheDreamWorldPodcast.com

Our guest on todays episode is Joshua Andre, International motivational speaker on universal manifestation practices & business consulting. Joshua guides his students in chasing success and manifesting your 7 figure businesses. We go into a great existential conversation about the universe, the laws of reality and how to make the best of the crazy life simulation we live in! Regardless of your goal in life or your attachment to material things, we all need to make money to play this game of life.   Joshua and I chat about how to keep motivated in life to manifest your goals. We also talk about theories of parallel realities & the nature of the universe and our 3d reality. We live in a cyclical world of balance, and we are here to learn to navigate and channel energy. Dreams are just one of many tools we can use to be our best and highest self: How to stabilize your lucid dreams & avoid nightmares.

We are spiritual beings living a human experience, but what is our purpose? We should not even stress about the future & achieving some great accomplishments but rather be purposeful in every present moment. Appreciate your current state, equip yourself with the tools you need to become a better and happier you every day.

What is the difference between Manifesting for spiritual fulfillment vs financial fulfillment? If you are manifesting and praying for a certain result, but still feeling stuck, how can we bride the gap between your manifestations in the astral realm and seeing results in the physical world. How to make your manifestations effective and paired with actions using the law of attraction & vibrationally aligning with what you want to manifest.

Remember, You are divinely guided & everything you experience happens for a reason or a lesson. Are we even meant to understand everything in life, or just experience it?

With so much information out there, what do I believe and follow? remember that Everything stars from self, and every answer you need is within you. Seek truth, your own truth, by seeking within yourself.

EP9: Signs of Reincarnation- The Evidence Based Research 22 Jul 202101:17:47

Our guest this week is Jim Matlock, a Research Fellow with the Parapsychology Foundation of New York City. Jim talks about the scientific and parapsychological evidence behind reincarnation, Behavioral Signs of Reincarnation, Birthmarks and Physical Signs of Reincarnation , past life memories, the interval between death and rebirth, karma, the process behind reincarnation, its history, and more fascinating topics! He wrote a book called Signs of Reincarnation, which provides the first comprehensive look at the belief in reincarnation and the evidence for past lives from historical records, anthropological studies, and contemporary research.

The mystery and process of reincarnation and near death experiences (NDEs) are not just spiritual theories, but rather backed up by a lot of scientific research and evidence from around the world.  Many children around the world have dreams and memories of their past lives, that can actually be verified with historical accounts of people who have passed. Children are more connected to the spiritual world, their minds are fresh and more open, and they haven't yet been brainwashed by the rules of society.

In this episode we talk about the biggest questions of life, what happens after death and in between lives? Do souls chose their families, & are they born with certain personalities or are those traits conditioned by our environment as science has been previously led to believe?  What are the various ways we can remember our past lives, and what is the purpose cross culturally? Our brains and bodies may die, but our subconscious minds live on for lifetimes to come. ESP (Extra Sensory Perception) Is one of many ways that spirits communicate with each other & with the physical realm as well as through dreams and mediums. Jim answers these questions from a scientific standpoint, analyzing what the data has proven thus far. How has quantum mechanics & spirituality thrown a wrench in many old scientific materialistic beliefs? Consciousness is more than just our physical bodies & there is a lot of new science to prove it.  Science advances one death at a time, and the world is starting to wake up and look at the facts.

Jim's Facebook group Sings of Reincarnation

"After several hundred lifetimes, we graduate from the Physical plane and move on to the lessons of the Astral, Causal, Mental, Messianic and Buddhaic planes. And finally, we rejoin the All that Is where we started. Then we can remain there for eternity or we  take another  run through the curriculum again. We tend to return with many of the same souls time and again.
Now. The basic idea of karma is not punishment. Karma presents the opportunity for development; to make use of opportunities that were not taken advantage of, to fill in gaps of ignorance, to enlarge understanding through experience, to do what should be done. Free choice is always involved. Knowledge and development, rather than punishment, self-punishment. Strong elements of your civilization are built upon ideas of guilt and p

EP7: Dreams, Premonitions & Visions12 May 202101:02:42

For centuries people have pondered the meaning of dreams. Early civilizations thought of dreams as a medium between our earthly world and that of the gods, and that they had certain prophetic powers. Most of us know what it feels like to experience Déjà vu, or an uncanny feeling of premonition, a flash of insight into the future that seems to have no rational explanation. We often dismiss these feelings as luck or a creepy coincidence, but what you may not know is that there is compelling scientific evidence that backs up the accuracy of at least some of these precognitive experiences. While we sleep, our subconscious minds continue to work on problems our conscious minds have failed to solve. How can we learn to interpret our dreams & dream symbols?
In this episode we dive into where science and spirituality meet, such as CIA research on remote viewing % Extra Sensory Perception (ESP).

EP6: Manifestation & Creation in Lucid Dreams02 May 202100:55:57

Lucid dreaming and the law of attraction - they go hand in hand! Through the power of a lucid dream experience we can communicate with our subconscious, manifest our desires, break bad habits and find answers we've been seeking.

Creation & summoning in a dream is a form of immediate manifestation. Whereas in waking life, it is not always that fast because there's time for your emotions to be balanced. Without this buffer period, every emotion and every thought would attract something instantly. However, manifesting your dream life in waking reality really does get easier when you have already repeatedly experienced what it feels like to get what you want within a lucid dream.

What does it mean to create your own reality on both sides of the consciousness spectrum? How can we incubate a manifestation plan into our dream world?

EP5: What Happened To All The Ancient Gods?23 Apr 202101:12:38

Today's episode is an open discussion hosted by Amina & Ashaba. We propose the topic of what happened to all the ancient Gods such as the Egyptians, Greeks & Romans? The classical Gods once had temples, priests and followers, whose belief gave them power. Where are they now, or do they walk among us? How do we as a collective consciousness connect with higher powers in today's society? How can we tap into our own powers as creators? We also dive into different religions and philosophies to explore the truths among them all.

EP4: Shared Dreaming14 Apr 202100:15:23

Ever wonder if we can dream in multiplayer with our friends and family?  Well, we can and its called shared (or mutual) dreaming.

The phenomenon of shared dreaming is not as rare as you may think, and is becoming increasingly prominent especially as more people start to practice lucid dreaming and intend to reach the dream world together. Mutual Dreaming suggests indicates that some dreams may posses elements of a consensus reality. Dr Stephan LaBerge of The Lucidity Institute believes that mutual dreaming experiments in the lab can test the objective reality of shared dream worlds. Dreaming of others, especially while lucid, really contains an essence of that person's soul, rather than just your brains projection of who they are to you.

In this episode, Vilma, Martin & I talk about shared dreams, and even techniques such as  PAL (or Partner Assisted Lucidity) breaks down that wall of private minds and turns lucid dream exploration into a social event.

EP3: Lucid Dreaming Intro: A Waking Life Hack26 Mar 202100:10:41

What REALLY happens at the edge of consciousness? Dreaming is more than just a byproduct of sleep. Once you learn the basics of lucid dreaming, you can solve problems on demand and on a whole new level, not being limited by your logical conscious brain. In this episode we talk about techniques for lucid dreaming, beginner tips, and a bit about the science behind dreaming.

“Lucid dreaming has considerable potential for promoting personal growth and self-development, enhancing self-confidence, improving mental and physical health, facilitating creative problem solving and helping you to progress on the path to self-mastery. If you want to learn to paint, summon Rembrandt. Go fishing with Hemingway or Hesse and talk about that novel you’ve always wanted to write”.   LaBerge, “ Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming” 1990

“The process of creation is accompanied by the capacity to communicate with the most primitive layers of the unconscious. When this capacity to communicate includes the ability to ask the unconscious — in the form of the dreaming mind — for artistic inspiration, then the lucid dreaming artist may have a certain advantage over the non-lucid dreaming artist”.  Chasseguet-Smirgel, J. (1995) ‘“Creative Writers and Day-dreaming”

While dreaming, there are no physical limitations to what can be created or done. The dreamer can do the “impossible”, enhance their skills, seek new ideas for stories or creations and even summon legends or mentors.

EP2: Lucid Dreaming vs Astral Projection23 Jan 202100:24:12

In this episode we talk to Demi, a weekly lucid dreamer! We discuss lucid dream experiences, as well as astral projection and some of the differences. Lucid dreaming = becoming conscious while already in the dreaming body. Astral projection = being aware of the entire transition of consciousness from the physical body to the dreaming body. Or put in another way: falling asleep consciously. In the end, there is really no battle. They are very similar in their end result, but they take different routes to get there.

Demi also introduces us to a "Pathworking" technique for lucid dreaming, in which you meditate right as you're falling asleep, and visualize a path taking you to your desired dreamscape.

In this fascinating episode I talked to physicist, author, and former Director of the U.S. government's Project Stargate, Dale Graff, to unravel decades of secret research into remote viewing, precognitive dreams, and intuitive intelligence.

In this episode:

  • Dale’s early dream guidance and how it led him to government-funded psi research
  • The truth about Project Stargate and how it differs from the Monroe Institute’s Gateway Process
  • Real examples of precognitive dreams and remote viewing experiences
  • The power of dreams in everyday decision-making
  • Ethics, misinterpretations, and the future of psi research

This episode is a rare glimpse behind the curtain of government-sponsored consciousness exploration, blending hard science, deep intuition, and extraordinary experience.

🎧 Tune in and explore what’s possible when we listen to our dreams.

Note***  At one point, I accidentally said  “PSI” (pounds per square inch). I meant “psi” (short for psychic phenomena) refers to mind-related abilities like telepathy, remote viewing, or precognitive dreaming.

🎉 This marks our 100th episode. Thank you for dreaming with us and being part of this incredible journey into dreams, consciousness, intuition, and the unexplored! 🌌

EP97: Lucid Dreaming & Lucid Living04 Apr 202500:52:56

What if your dreams could become a playground for healing, transformation, and soul growth?

In this powerful episode of The Dream World Podcast, Amina sits down with filmmaker, dream educator, and lifelong lucid dreamer Nisha Burton to explore how lucid dreaming can help us face fear, satisfy deep desires, and even prepare for death. Raised in a lineage of dreamers, Nisha shares how her mother nurtured her dream life from childhood and how that led her into profound spiritual explorations through lucid states.

From flying through the cosmos and indulging in dream pastries (hello, gluten-free croissants!) to entering the clear light of mind inspired by Tibetan dream yoga, Nisha’s stories will inspire you to embrace dreaming as a sacred part of life. The two also dive into dream mirrors, the mysterious "dream police," dream portals, shared dreaming, and learning to trust your unique dream symbolism.

Whether you're deep into your practice or just starting out, this episode will remind you: your dreams are valid, powerful, and deeply personal. 🌌

About the Guest

Nisha Burton is a skilled visual artist and dream worker, trained in the art of journeying into the deep subconscious from a young age. For the past decade, she has been immersed in the practice of lucid dreaming. By combining her studies of the works of dream researchers, Tibetan dream yoga, and other lucid dreamers, healers and mystics, she has developed a unique, multicultural perspective on dream work. As a professional filmmaker, a virtual-reality expert, and a branding strategist, she specializes in the craft of storytelling. Her artistic skill is evident in her beautiful card illustrations, which are infused with visual symbolism drawn directly from her hundreds of lucid dreams and out-of-body experiences.

EP94: "Soo much of life is unimportant. Don't sweat the small stuff" -Charlie Morley's Lucid Dream21 Feb 202500:27:02

The legendary Charlie Morley‬ is talking about his IASD presentation in June 2025. In his keynote talk, Charlie will be discussing the remarkable results of two recent scientific studies that used lucid dreaming as a treatment for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). The results of the studies were quite remarkable, with the average PTSD score dropping so far below the medical threshold that dozens of participants were no longer classified as having PTSD by the end of the one-week study.

He will also discuss the initial refusal to publish from many journals, the eventual publication in the peer-reviewed journal Traumatology, and his controversial TED talk on the subject that was blacklisted over disputed data. So, join us at this exciting talk to explore how lucid dreaming may well be one of the most promising interventions for trauma currently available.

EP93: Another Day, Another Dreamer22 Jan 202500:22:09
EP92: Dreamwork Ethics: Tips for a Conscious Conversation13 Dec 202400:41:48

IASD  provides a Dreamwork Ethics Statement
as a guideline for anyone who wants to discuss dreams responsibly.
Developed in 1997, it aims to honor the dream as well as the dreamer, and is used as the gold standard in dreamwork worldwide. Read the full ethics statement on asdreams.org/ethics-and-confidentiality

Here are 7 key takeaways:

1. Respect the Dreamer’s Integrity
Ethical dreamwork helps the dreamer work with his/her own dream images, feelings, and associations,
but doesn’t tell anyone what their dream means.
The dreamer is the decision maker when it comes to the meaning of their own dream. Listen, ask, reflect, and invite the dreamer to
draw their own conclusions.

2. Create a Safe Space
The dreamer should be forewarned that unexpected issues or emotions may arise in the course of the dreamwork. It might start as ‘just a dream’, but may end in an unexpected conversation. Even if it’s a short chat, make sure you
can’t be overheard or interrupted easily.

3. Keep the Privacy
Information and mutual agreement about the degree of privacy and confidentiality are essential ingredients in creating a safe atmosphere for dream sharing.
Assure the dreamer that you will keep what’s discussed to yourself, unless they tell you otherwise.

4. Let the Dreamer Lead
A dreamer’s decision to share or discontinue sharing a dream should always be respected and honored.Be mindful of body language, hesitations, or a
repeated ‘I don’t know’, as signs that this
conversation might be at it’s end.

5. Consider Multiple Options
Every dream may have multiple meanings. There are social, cultural, and transpersonal aspects to dream experience. Different techniques may be reasonably employed to touch these multiple layers of significance.
Instead of looking for one “true” meaning, help a dreamer explore different associations and ideas.

6. The Limits Of Dreamwork
Be mindful of the limits of the conversation.
Dreamwork outside a clinical setting is not a substitute for psychotherapy, or other professional treatment, and should not be used as such. If the conversation requires it, remind the dreamer with empathy that this isn’t therapy, and maybe get a nice cup of tea together.

7. Tradition Matters
IASD recognizes and respects that there are many valid and time-honored dreamwork traditions. We invite and welcome the participation of dreamers from all cultures. Invite the dreamer to educate you on their views on dreams.
