The North Carolina-grown and Nashville-based, Trey Calloway grew up singing in church and was a seasoned performer by the age of ten. Jeff Carson’s last album, 448 is a 9-track, never-to-be-completed swan song by a man who lived a praiseworthy life.    Lauded by both the Academy of Country Music and the Police Academy, in 2009, after charting 14 singles, including mid-‘90s Billboard-topping “Not On Your Love” and Top-5 father-son anthem “The Car,” Jeff Carson walked away from the music industry completely, and for all the right reasons–to pursue a career in law enforcement, focus on family, and be a strong role model and dad to his son Dayton.    He would serve the Franklin, Tenn. Our guest today is visionary media entrepreneur Joey Canyon. He is the founder and CEO of Canyon Star TV as well as being an award-winning country music singer-songwriter and producer.   After developing expertise in a range of production roles throughout the 80s and 90s, Joey Canyon started his own production services company, working on national commercials, documentaries, TV series, and with NFL Films for eight years. Tonja Rene is an actor turned manager/producer with a passion for film, television and media. She has several television and film credits in supporting and leading roles and new projects in the works as a producer.    Tonja looks forward to projects that require depth and grit. Her background as a performer and visionary goes back to her early childhood where she did modeling as a teen as well as numerous performances as a singer, actor and host.    In this interview, Ward and Tonja discuss what it’s like for a believer to work in Hollywood and how to stay the true to who you are and what you believe. Can Christians work in non-Christian films and still make a difference?    Tonja was drawn back into media and entertainment as a result of a surreal dream she says “rocked her world” while pregnant with her daughter in 2004. In this dream, Tonja was taken on a journey through old Hollywood and God showed her that the church had pulled his Light out of the media and entertainment industries years ago. The Lord asked her to be willing to be, among others, a Light through her gifts and talents.

Director and writer Eirik Veiten wrote and directed his first acclaimed short FRIENDLY PEOPLE in 2010. He has written and directed 14 short films.    His work includes different genres and stretches from high realism to stylized comedy.    His recent short film NIGHT RIDE was awarded the Audience Award at The Norwegian Short Film Festival and has since won 5 awards at festivals around the world.    It has also been nominated for an Academy Award in the Live Action Short Film category for this year’s Oscars.

Rick Allen, is the legendary drummer of Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductees Def Leppard. Former NFL player Mike Gibson discusses the current mental health concerns of athletes and Damar Hamlin who we all saw on national television collapse on the field that led to an unprecedented cancelling of a NFL game. Does the NFL help players with substance abuse and are their concussion protocols enough?    Mike Gibson, earned a scholarship to Cal-Berkeley for football and played for 2 years before he got drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in 2008. He played a total of 6 years in the NFL (Eagles, Seattle Seahawks, and Arizona Cardinals).    After he retired he became a sheriff's deputy, completing his credentials as class president, abusing OxyContin and adderall the entire duration. He was a deputy for under a year before getting asked to resign for his unhealthy habits. This setback turned him to becoming addicted to stronger substances such as heroin and meth. After going in and out of rehab 6 times, in his last session Mike made a breakthrough and has been sober for 5 years. He has worked in treatment centers as an addiction counselor for the entire 5 years he has been sober.

Brent Yates is a serial entrepreneur with over thirty years of experience and success as a business owner, humanitarian, and investor.    Despite having money and prestige, his life journey has been neither smooth nor straightforward. Our guest today is country recording artist and multimedia entrepreneur Colton James. He is scheduled to release his first EP on January 20, 2023, titled America.    The EP America was produced by Colton, the late Kim Tribble, and Jimmy Nichols.   In his career, Colton has opened for legendary artists Toby Keith, Chris Cagle, The Dixie Chicks, and Jason Aldean. With the release of his EP America, Colton is making fast strides toward the next step in his career and taking on multiple projects whilst still maintaining his music.    One of those projects includes Colton partnering up with Rick Dawson, owner of 2022 Kentucky Derby-winning thoroughbred Rich Strike, to launch RedSunset Entertainment, a Nashville-based upstart multimedia company.
