Not knowing how far the conspiracy goes, the Doctor, Liz and the Brigadier become fugitives. Their investigations lead them to the Fulcrum military training facility. And something beyond the Earth.

William Russell Enoch left us on June 3, 2024. For 78 episodes, he portrayed the character of Ian Chesterton, a science teacher whisked away with fellow teacher Barbara Wright by the Doctor and his granddaughter Susan in their time machine, the TARDIS. He was the template for what a male companion to the Doctor should be. With his passing, John and Jim pause their viewing of Doctor Who to discuss the character and the actor. For Jim, who started his journey in the TARDIS from the beginning, Ian was his first companion. Join us as we offer this brief retrospective on the career of William Russell.
