PsydeShow is bringing us along for a both horrifying and humorous look at one of the world's most notorious "banned films" of all time, the first installment of Faces of Death. This "Mondo Documentary" struck fear in the hearts of adults and children alike, claiming all the footage shown was real (to a certain extent, this is true, to varying degrees). This is not even a movie we'd recommend watching, but the conversation is absolutely one worth sticking around for as we discuss the legacy (or stain) this film left behind.

It's Evelyn's pick this week and it's a doozy! We're covering the 2021 French fever dream Titane, directed by Julia Ducournau. If you have yet to watch it, do yourself a favor and go in as blind as possible. It is a violent and heartwarming cinematic masterpiece that will leave you speechless by the time the credits roll. This week, PsydeShow brings Man Bites Dog to the table! An extremely violent and thought-provoking 1992 Belgian black comedy/crime thriller, which also happens to be a staple in the mockumentary and found footage genres. It stars Remy Belvaux, Benoit Poelvoorde, and Andre Bonzel; who all had a hand in writing, producing, and directing the film. This is a truly disturbing, yet brilliant one in a number of ways. Might wanna have a pallet cleanser on standby (perhaps Spongebob), because this is how you simultaneously ruin and enhance an evening. Don't say we didn't warn you. Skeptik's steering the ship into some murky waters this episode! We're talking Japanese director Sion Sono's 2001 harrowing psychological mystery thriller Suicide Club (Suicide Circle). We're back in the saddle and it's getting real uncomfy this week as Skeptik tells us about Caya Casas' 2022 pitch black comedy, The Coffee Table. Utterly fascinating in its execution, this film will surely test your limits and (more than likely) cause anxiety levels to spike in any parents viewing it.
