I met Erin & John Beatty at SEMA when we coincidently happen to be at the same restaurant. They had been looking for the Aquatek Coatings crew to talk about bringing our products to their detail supply store. Tony Kiger posed a great question in Realm of Coatings a week or so ago and I've been thinking the same thing for a while. So here's the post "With all the coatings on the market, and the hype wearing off, detailers not promoting a brand as much, what will come next?

With vehicle owners buying coatings off ebay, amazon, autogeek and alike, and applying them themselves, how are you justifying the price still to this day? Are you lowering pricing? Adding more services? Performing a higher level of paint refinement? Etc."

Being invited to the Air Force One project was a huge honor and we were excited to see it all. The museum is a cool place to be with so much history in aviation. We grabbed Chris Metcalf right off the bat to talk to him about Flex's involvement in the AFO project pretty much since the 3401 came out. How being at AFO is good for the industry and the Flex will continue to support. Next up was Rod and Jody from RoadFS as we had a podcast smackdown. We discussed how events like this are great for the industry and growth for detailing business owners. Lastly we found Crisanto Aquino who was our crazy driver from the night before. Crisanto was the only Canadian mafia member working on AF1. This was his first podcast so he was a bit nervous but we made it fun for him.

David Rotenberg from Watershed Auto Car in Simi, CA messaged me and asked how to get on the show, so here we are. David started detailing in 2009 when he saw some guy wearing flip flops washing a car and thought, "I can do that!' Quickly he realized detailing wasn't so simple but fell in love with it and became very passionate for the industry.

RJ Wagner is the owner of WD detailing in Ohio and also has a very popular YouTube channel with over 600K subscribers. RJ and his partner put out a new barn find detail video every Saturday on their channel WD Detailing. With the popularity of YouTube channels like RJ's we got to see detailing on the small screen, with Dirty Old Cars.
