Solar Series: Leo Season 202518 Jul 202500:46:52

Welcome Leo Season!

Officially beginning July 22nd, this month includes a Mercury RX, along with several planet ingresses (sign changes) – many of which activate the Saturn–Neptune conjunction in Aries.

What does this all mean?

We’re going be reviewing a lot of the ways in which we do things, the ways in which we show up and demonstrate leadership, how we express ourselves and find harmony in our relationships, and what we want to uphold in our ever evolving identities.

And, if that doesn’t sound like enough fun, there’s also going to be even more erosion of systems and structures that used to make sense, but are in the process of being released for new things to be built.

Ep 033: Inner Excavation, Trusting Your Curiosity, and Leading by Demonstration w. Kristina Bleiler11 Jul 202500:54:47

Today I'm joined by fellow designer, creative, artist, and curiosity-follower Kristina Bleiler of Gem Creative Co. Kristina has been such an inspiration – since the moment I started following her I knew she brought a special playfulness, depth, and inquiry to the creative work she does.

In our conversation we talk about the power of community - online and in person, her experience of growing up in the church, and how moving away from that foundation, and into a life emboldened by her own curiosity, guided her to be an entrepreneur and leader with integrity and openness.

Kristina was such a joy to chat with, and I hope you get as many gold nuggets out of this episode as I did!

Ep 027: Legacy, Grief, Ritual and the Pursuit of Joy w. Alicia "Ace" Easter11 Apr 202501:17:19

In this episode I have the great pleasure of reconnecting with my old friend and sister, Alicia "Ace" Easter. Ace is a yoga teacher, storyteller, and joy-seeker who drops so much wisdom about healing, legacy, grief, and the pursuit of truth through this whole conversation.

She shares how losing her mother at 19 sparked a lifelong commitment to living fully and with intention — and helping others do the same. She opens up about what it means to build a legacy rooted in presence, honesty, and joy. And together we explore our shared histories with yoga, her journey into plant medicine and ancestral healing, how much we both loved With Love Meghan, and the importance of honoring your life as if it were a sacred ritual.

5:30 For folks who are listening, ACE and I go way back

6:40 I'm constantly on a mission to have peace and joy be a part of my life

16:10 I think that my entire life Hollis has been a series of, 'This just feels right, like I'm supposed to do this.'

23:06 OK, so now I'm all alone. So what are we going to do about that?

25:41 What do you want to carry? How do you want to affect people?

32:59  There's space to be honest, there's space to be real, and we can also be in pursuit of joy at the same time

37:22 Our trauma is guiding a lot of our lives. It guides a lot of our decision making, right. It guides a lot of what we say yes to, and a lot of what we say no to.

38:08 When you do the work you give yourself the deliciousness of truth.

40:38 So much the time leveling up means going deeper.

42:43 I felt like I died and came back to life.

45:42 It's really easy for us to downplay things. But everything you do is a big deal because you're a big deal.

51:17  It invites me to live my entire life as if it's a ceremony

1:00:57  But knowing that this is a deposit into something for my future self, the legacy of what I will leave.

1:02:11  I was ready to hold space for other people who were like me, who might be experiencing that sort of sadness and sorrow and mourning

01:08:33  Not every woman on this earth gets to be exposed to the types of women that we get to work with. And it is such a gift.

01:16:08  Stay brave in your pursuit of joy, friends!

Lunar Series · April 2025: Libra Full Moon & Taurus New Moon28 Mar 202500:28:37

This month is all about connection, beauty, social cohesion, creating beautiful lives for ourselves and others, and living pleasurably within our values.

This month's lunations are all about Venus - both the New and Full Moon's are ruled by the planet of love and connection - so it's a month I'm really excited about.

On Sunday, April 13th the Full Moon in Libra 23° encourages us to let go of old ideas around social cohesion, and letting go of people-pleasing tendencies.

Then on Sunday, April 27th the New Moon in Taurus 7° asks us to set strong intentions around pleasure, play, and generally feeling really supported and anchored in our bodies.

Listen for more ways to integrate and work with this energy, and prompts for deeper integration.

Ep 026: The Liberation within Limitation14 Mar 202500:46:54

There is a surprising liberation that comes from limitation.

Whether it’s working with fewer resources, embracing minimalism, or setting intentional boundaries, scarcity often sparks creativity, resourcefulness, and a deeper appreciation for what we already have. In this episode I examine how constraints can actually make life feel richer and more expansive. I also discuss how modern overabundance affects our well-being, the power of presence, and how small self-imposed restrictions can lead to greater clarity, freedom, and fulfillment.

Embrace a little less – experience a whole lot more.

Ep 025: The Power of Presence and Creativity as Healing w. Iliana Contos14 Feb 202501:13:47

Long time friend, co-collaborator, and all around inspiration, Iliana Contos joins me for a fruitful and heartfelt conversation exploring the intersection of creativity, presence, and authenticity – all as powerful healing forces. Illy shares her journey from acting to art therapy, working with vulnerable communities, and learning to embrace creativity without perfectionism. We discuss the power of presence — whether in a yoga class, a prison, or a creative space — and how art-making can regulate the nervous system and foster deep self-discovery.

We also touch on the challenges of navigating social media as a creative tool, the difference between creating and editing, and how perfectionism is rooted in control and fear. Illy specifically highlights transformative practices like The Artist’s Way and Morning Pages, emphasizing that creativity is not just for artists but a universal human language.

Lastly, at the end of our conversation we share a brief announcement for our upcoming workshop seriesArt & Astrology: Building Intimacy with Self Through Creativity – inspired by the upcoming Venus retrograde cycle.

For the folks looking to reclaim their creativity, quiet their inner critic, or deepen their connection to self, this conversation offers insights and inspiration for embracing the unknown with curiosity and openness.

Ep 032: Your Role in Cultivating Freedom04 Jul 202500:37:53

This week's episode is inspired, not just by the day this episode drops (July 4th) but also the conversations I've been having lately in my communities and with myself.

Questions like:

  • What makes you feel free?
  • How are you restricting your own freedom?
  • What inner division, insecurity, doubt, or violence are you waging against yourself that is keeping your from your own liberation?

In this episode I explore the ways in which we can not only find freedom within ourselves, but also how we can use our freedoms and privileges to support others in being able to access their own.

Freedom is not something that is given to us – we have to protect it.

Lunar Series · October 202427 Sep 202400:21:59

This October, we’re reacquainting ourselves with the Libra-Aries axis, energies that we have become very familiar with since the Eclipses began in these two signs in April of 2023. This axis urges us to reflect on our connections with others and how we balance our personal desires with our social interactions.

Our first lunation of the month is a New Moon Eclipse at 10° of Libra. This lunation is a good time to consciously observe and reflect on dynamics - harmony, social order, creativity, connection, etc.

Meanwhile, the Full Moon at 24° of Aries highlights personal passion, motivation, and assertiveness, encouraging us to embrace our inner drive and assert our individuality.

In this episode, Hollis explores the concept of Unity Consciousness — the idea that we're all interconnected on a fundamental level. We’ll discuss practical ways to apply Unity Consciousness in dealing with emotions like jealousy, self-doubt, and insecurity. By recognizing that there's no separation between ourselves and others, we can foster empathy, compassion, and a deeper connection to the world around us. That sounds like a step forward, yes?

Lunar Series · September 202430 Aug 202400:22:59

This month we’re discussing the balance between focusing on the details and then zooming out so far that there are no details and everything looks connected.

The month begins with a New Moon in Virgo on September 3rd. Anytime there is a transit through Virgo, we can expect an emphasis on specificity, perfectionism, even criticism. This New Moon is a lovely opportunity to apply an extra dose of compassion and embrace who we are without judgement, let go of unnecessary criticism, and step more fully into our true selves.

And just like that, we’re back in Eclipse season! Our next lunation is a Full Moon Eclipse in Pisces September 18th. This lunation highlights an exploration of creativity, the healing emotional wounds, and a lot of rest and rejuvenation.

Lunar Series · August 202402 Aug 202400:19:19

August's lunations call to attention the delicate balance between personal identity and the collective. This month, the focus is on how we express ourselves authentically while not losing touch with how we can contribute to the larger community.

A New Moon in Leo kicks off the month, inspiring a rebirth of the self. This is a time to reconnect with your core values, embrace your inner leader, and tap into your personal power.

Two weeks later, a Full Moon in Aquarius shifts the perspective from the self to the collective. This lunation encourages us to consider the needs of the group, and find innovative ways to contribute to a collective harmony.

In essence, this New Moon and Full Moon start a really lovely conversation, inviting us to reexamine our individual roles within a broader context.

Lunar Series · July 2025: Capricorn Full Moon & Leo New Moon27 Jun 202500:36:08

In this midyear episode the lunations ask us to assess our long-term visions, and definitions of embodied leadership.

The polarity of Cancer and Capricorn is highlighted during the Capricorn Full Moon, and we're invited to examine how practical ambition and inner nourishment must work together. It's also a great moment to reflect on what you’ve built so far this year, what you’re still devoted to, and how your body can serve as a compass for what truly matters.

The Leo New Moon forms a tense opposition with Pluto in Aquarius, triggering deep questions about power, leadership, and identity. Reflect on themes from early November, January, and April to determine the emotional echoes or power dynamics that might be resurfacing around this time.

Ep 016: Relationship Series - pt. 3 Communication17 May 202400:49:53

In the third and final part of the Relationship Series, we’re diving into the cornerstone of relationships: communication.

Whether it's navigating emotions of love and gratitude or challenges like frustration or grief, we all encounter moments where communication is key. But what do we do when we can’t find the words to express what we mean? What do we do when we are limited by our language? And how can we ultimately find and create spaces for genuine understanding and connection?

In this episode, Hollis and Kimmy challenge the conventional notions of communication. What if we relieved ourselves of the pressure to always get it 'right'? What if we viewed communication as a shared act of creation, a collaborative process within relationships?

The goal of this specific episode empower individuals to think of communication as a process and as a means to creatively and authentically express themselves with the intention of fostering stronger connections in your relationships.

Lunar Series · May 202403 May 202400:25:19

Whew! We are finally out of Eclipse season and everything is just looking pretty bright this May, not just with the lunations, but with the astrology in general. Our first lunation of this month is a New Moon in Taurus. Being the first post-Eclipse New Moon paired with a very fertile Taurus, we can think of this lunation as a true cleanse. And alchemical invitation to start anew.

This is followed by a Full Moon in Sagittarius. This is an especially golden time of the year that encourages an embrace of all things pleasurable and abundant. So much so that we are at risk of going a bit overboard. We’ll get into how we can embrace this expansion with intentionality and awareness to make the most of this beautiful moon.

Ep 015: Relationship Series - pt. 2 Compromise26 Apr 202400:59:51

Compromise is more than just giving in; it's a form of adaptability and a demonstration of love. It's about sharing resources, not just material but emotional and mental as well, within a partnership. We can think about our compromises as a form of exploring non-attachment, letting go of some desires for the greater good of the relationship.

But how do you know when it's your ego getting in the way, or when it's a boundary you really need to hold onto? And what about the issue of the one-sided over-compromising and taking on too much?

In this episode, Hollis and Kimmy continue the Relationship Series by discussing the art of compromise. They’ll get into the ways in which we can navigate compromise without harboring resentment, and the importance of upholding integrity, values, and self confidence in the face of compromise. They offer insights and practical tips for finding a balance that works for both you and your relationships.

Ep 014: Relationship Series - pt. 1 Commitment12 Apr 202400:56:40

We begin our Relationship Series with a conversation about commitment. Over the past few decades, commitment has earned a growing reputation for deprivation or the limiting of possibilities.

Hollis and Kimmy challenge our narratives around commitment by reframing our commitments as a practice in courage, empowering individuals to navigate their relationships and placements in the world with clarity and authenticity. From mutual growth to realistic expectations, they unpack the nature of staying committed to another while, most importantly, remaining committed to oneself.

Throughout the conversation, they explore the celebration of shared experiences, the importance of stability and security, and how we can stay aware of our tendencies to overcommit.

Ep 005: Work-Life Balance01 Sep 202300:37:33

This month we’re exploring the ever-elusive concept of work-life balance.

Most humans come from a belief system that is very linear. It tells us that everything we do has to feed into one part of our lives, which leaves us feeling like whatever we're doing has to be connected, has to serve a purpose. It can't just be for fun. It can't just be for pleasure. It can't just be for play. And so, then our sense of purpose gets very intertwined with our work and what we do for a living and our self-worth.

In this episode, our host Hollis asks, how do we break out of that linearity? How can we, instead, access a well-rounded, holistic, and balanced experience of life?

I loved this recording with Kristine from @wellwithkristine!! As a somatic coach and all around wonderful human, Kristine and I get into the nuances of the world of somatics – how her origins in the corporate world drove her directly into burnout and from that place of complete physical disassociation she found herself redirected into the magic of somatic therapy.

In this episode we chat what it’s like to not live from the neck up, the power of healing in community, the magic of being Cancer suns (and having the same birthday I might add!), Kristine’s ambitions for making somatic therapy more accessible, and the bravery required for the business.

I hope you enjoy this conversation as much as I enjoyed chatting with Kristine!
