What 10,000 Interviews Teach About Authority29 sept. 202600:29:38

George Wright III interviews Jerome Knyszewski, founder and CEO of Authority Magazines, about how he built Valiant CEO from an online marketing and reputation need: entrepreneurs struggled to get credible legacy-media features, so he created an open-door WordPress-based publication that has done 10,000 interviews in about four years and never charges to publish. He emphasizes controlling the narrative through guided, strategic Q&A (including FAQs and “should ask” questions), strong content guardrails (no politics, religion, lewd content, certain industries), and an ad-light reading experience to avoid distraction and SEO “bad neighborhood” risks. The conversation highlights the power of third-party validation, comparing it to book endorsements. A pivotal moment came when verified submissions from notable names like Grant Cardone led to producing monthly cover-style issues, which snowballed credibility and attracted more high-profile covers. Audience demand and niche fit drove expansion into a network of about a dozen publications; optional paid upgrades only accelerate publishing timelines.

Time Is Your Greatest Asset23 sept. 202600:12:58

George Wright III explains how feeling overwhelmed and unproductive often stems from poor time management and urges listeners to treat time as their greatest asset, budget it like money, and be intentional about where it goes. He argues that flexible time is a result of disciplined management and resourcefulness, not randomness, and warns against living reactively. Practical strategies include setting clear goals, using a planner or calendar, prioritizing “big rocks,” creating boundaries, setting time limits, taking breaks, resetting intention when starting tasks, and getting organized. He recommends delegating or eliminating low-value tasks, planning schedules in advance, avoiding checking phones or email first thing, monitoring app and social media usage, and improving sleep with evening routines. Better time management reduces stress, improves health, and increases progress toward goals, relationships, and income.

The Power of Daily Consistency22 sept. 202600:13:42

George Wright III asks listeners to assess how their year is going and why they may feel stuck, emphasizing that overthinking rarely produces solutions and that answers are found through action and progress. He presents “the mastermind” as a single strategy that can change results by providing daily focus, perspective, and mentorship across core areas like mind, body, money, business, and lifestyle. Wright explains that while decisions and commitments matter, consistency is the real key, and consistency is built through habits and non-negotiable daily rituals. He encourages finding the “one thing” domino—such as podcasts or a daily masterminding routine—that keeps you consistent, aligns with timing for breakthroughs, and shifts focus off yourself to reduce limiting emotions.

Act in Spite of Your Mood21 sept. 202600:13:37

George Wright III opens the Monday Daily Mastermind episode by highlighting persistence as a key prosperity principle and “difference maker,” tied to his third prosperity pillar: “I act in spite of my mood.” Citing Napoleon Hill and Calvin Coolidge, he argues that lack of persistence prevents people from achieving goals and that persistence is a cultivatable state of mind. He outlines ways to build it: definiteness of purpose, strong desire, self-reliance, definite plans and scheduling, applied knowledge, a cooperative mastermind group, using willpower strategically, and preparation through daily rituals and habits. He frames persistence as a decision—“it’s not over until you win”—and shares examples of repeated rejection and failure from NASA, Tim Ferriss, Henry Ford, Walt Disney, Einstein, Edison, Dr. Seuss, Jack London, van Gogh, Michael Jordan, and J.K. Rowling.

Burned Out or Bored Out with Mitch Matthews18 sept. 202600:48:10

George Wright III hosts Mitch Matthews on The Daily Mastermind to discuss clarity, focus, and “what’s next” for high achievers. Matthews explains that many executives and entrepreneurs can detail goals for their organizations but struggle to define what’s next for themselves, often because success narrows perceived options. He distinguishes burnout from “bored out,” caused by repetitive work, and recommends intentionally injecting novelty—often 15 minutes a day—to begin healing and creating optionality, defined as the intentional creation of options without blowing up one’s life. Matthews describes building authority so opportunities come through value-sharing, and outlines the Authority Bridge approach to package expertise into coaching, speaking, or training while addressing identity beyond titles. He suggests 30-day sprints to explore then go deep, using passion and “pissed” lists, and asks listeners what they want to experience more in their next season.

How Saying No Unlocks Profitability with Yarin Gaon17 sept. 202600:29:10

George Wright III interviews Yarin Gaon of Fractional Partners about a common growth bottleneck for companies that reach product-market fit around $3–$5M in sales: continuing “growth by addition” by saying yes to too many customers, products, channels, and revenue streams, which increases complexity and shrinks profit. Gaon argues founders should shift to “growth by subtraction,” identifying the small set of activities that drives most profit and cutting the rest, then later moving to “growth by expansion” when execution bandwidth increases. Key signals it’s time to subtract are rising complexity and declining profitability, and Gaon warns against making decisions out of context or based only on revenue. He introduces the free Growth Decision Canvas and an initial heat map assessment to create a clear 12–18 month plan, and explains it complements EOS by improving strategic direction and profit focus.

Build a Business Around Your Life with Clay Martin15 sept. 202600:25:05

George Wright III interviews Clay Martin, founder of Isla Talent, a recruiting company connecting U.S. businesses with job seekers from Puerto Rico. Clay shares his path from serving in the Peace Corps in Ecuador and Panama to recruiting migrant labor for dairy farms and launching a Puerto Rico-focused recruiting business after being asked to source U.S. citizens who don’t need visas. He discusses selling his first business, being laid off after joining the acquiring competitor, and choosing to start over to regain freedom and control. Clay explains his lifestyle-first approach—using contractors instead of employees, staying remote, and focusing on relationship-building—plus his process for quickly placing workers and guiding clients on relocation logistics and housing. Your Energy Is the Asset That Makes Everything Else Possible11 sept. 202600:12:29

George Wright III argues that for entrepreneurs, energy is the asset that makes every other asset possible, and that grind culture, burnout, and exhaustion reduce effectiveness, decision-making, creativity, discipline, relationships, and leadership. He urges listeners to treat health as a core success strategy and focus on sustainable energy through four areas: sleep (for recovery and productive hours), nutrition (food as fuel affecting focus, recovery, and brain health), exercise (performance, strength, mobility, and mental discipline), and recovery (not a reward, but essential for sustained high performance). He emphasizes consistency over extremes, warning that postponing health “until later” lets ambition consume wellness. He challenges listeners to identify one current “energy leak” (sleep, nutrition, exercise, overtraining, stress, or schedule) and make a long-term adjustment.

The Science of Scaling with Blake Erickson10 sept. 202600:51:43

George Wright III interviews Blake Erickson, co-author of The Science of Scaling and partner at Scaling.com, about his path from door-to-door team building, and a $10M revenue business, followed by a plateau that pushed him to pursue a bigger mission. Erickson explains how he partnered with Dr. Benjamin Hardy to co-author a book and launching Scaling.com. He distinguishes growth (e.g., 10–24% annually) from scaling (doubling or 10X in three years), arguing scaling requires doing different—often less—through focus, leverage, and “who brings the how.” He stresses that exponential, time-bound goals simplify strategy, cites a popcorn company jumping from 200 to 26,000 stores via one partnership, and emphasizes founder psychology, humility, pruning, and weekly alignment reviews. He shares Scaling.com’s lessons from a $12M plateau, previews the book Power Law Strategy (Jan 26), and offers a free audiobook at https://scaling.com/audiobook-ce

About Blake

Blake has built and operated several businesses and spent four years helping scale a door-to-door sales organization into an eight-figure company. He has recruited, trained, and led more than 1,200 people, with much of his experience centered on leadership, recruiting, and building high-performance teams. After reaching a point where his businesses required little day-to-day involvement, Blake found himself becoming comfortable and complacent while spreading his attention across real estate, media, podcasting, and several other ventures. He ultimately realized that maintaining what he had already built was no longer fulfilling, and he felt called to play a bigger game. That led him to sell his companies and real estate portfolio, step away from his podcast, and go all-in on Scaling.com, growing the company to $10 million in ARR in its first eight months. Today, he and his team advise more than 500 companies ranging from $500,000 businesses to $10 billion enterprises. Blake is a TEDx alumnus, and a professional speaker who has presented to organizations including Vistage, Entrepreneurs’ Organization, YPO, Keller Williams, and Direct Selling University. He’s also been a guest on podcasts such as Everything The Don’t Tell You, Building the Good Life, The CO1 Show, Let’s Get Real with Stephen Jones, and many more.

Visibility Is Not Enough: How to Build Market Influence09 sept. 202600:11:46

George Wright III challenges the common business advice that more visibility, followers, and reach are the key to growth, arguing that visibility without value, trust, and positioning doesn’t build a business. He explains the difference between temporary attention and lasting influence, emphasizing that marketing should make you relevant and trusted so you get chosen, not just seen. He urges entrepreneurs to focus on educating before selling, consistently showing up to build familiarity and credibility over time, and prioritizing relationships over vanity metrics. Wright highlights clear positioning—who you help, what problem you solve, what you believe, and why your perspective is different—so your brand becomes associated with a specific solution.

How to Choose the Right Franchise With Greg Mohr08 sept. 202600:26:38

George Wright III interviews franchise consultant Greg Mohr, founder of Franchise Maven, about franchising as an “anti-founder” strategy—stepping into proven systems and processes to reach goals faster than starting a business from scratch. Mohr shares his path from Taco Bell and corporate work to franchising after reading “Rich Dad Poor Dad,” and explains who fits franchising best: self-starters with risk tolerance who can be mentored and follow systems. They discuss capital requirements for brick-and-mortar franchises versus service-based franchises, including typical net worth and liquidity expectations and SBA Express loan options. Mohr outlines his client-matching process, the importance of treating a franchise as an asset, and due diligence using the Franchise Disclosure Document (items 19 and 20, bankruptcies, litigation, and open-vs-sold locations). They note post-COVID growth in essential services like HVAC, plumbing, restoration, senior care, and medical franchises, and discuss horizontal and vertical growth for long-term wealth.

The Invisible Habits That Separate Elite Founders From Everyone Else07 sept. 202600:10:38

George Wright III explains that elite performers succeed by doing important ordinary things with extraordinary consistency, not by relying on occasional intensity. He argues that life is shaped less by big decisions and more by small routines, standards, and disciplines practiced over time, which reinforce identity through follow-through or, conversely, procrastination and lowered standards. He urges listeners to protect performance habits (like exercise, planning, reading, meditation) especially when busy, and to build life around non-negotiable standards rather than fluctuating motivation. He challenges listeners to audit their habits, identify what helps most, what quietly holds them back, and choose one high-leverage habit to practice consistently for the next year to become the person capable of creating the desired life.

Build an Authority Engine That Works Even When You Don't02 sept. 202600:09:43

George Wright III explains that entrepreneurs often mistake growth for working harder, but hustle can’t scale and founders become the bottleneck when the business depends on their energy, decisions, and involvement. He suggests freedom comes from building systems—especially an “authority engine” that produces content and visibility even when you’re not working—using a progression of do it, document it, delegate it, automate it, then optimize it. A system makes success repeatable by turning repeated tasks and questions into processes, then using people, technology, and AI as leverage (not as the system itself). He recommends identifying what stops when you stop, focusing on one repetitive founder-dependent activity this week, documenting and delegating it, then automating what makes sense to create compounding leverage across the business.

The AI Advantage You Can’t Buy with Adrian Rosebrock01 sept. 202600:32:24

George Wright III interviews AI architect and Chief of AI CEO Adrian Rosebrock about moving beyond AI hype to measurable ROI and durable competitive advantage. Rosebrock shares his background building and selling PyImageSearch, then explains three waves of AI adoption: early access/adoption, the coming focus on economics and governance (including token-cost volatility and “tokenomics”), and a future differentiation phase centered on proprietary data and custom models. He uses Bridgewater’s internally trained model as an example of higher accuracy, lower token costs, and defensible advantage. They discuss when to buy, modify, or build AI using a risk-vs-differentiation grid, why AI should optimize back-office work rather than replace human-facing relationships, and common mistakes around governance, compliance, and preventing employees from uploading sensitive data.

The Courage to Act Before You Feel Ready31 août 202600:08:55

George Wright III urges listeners to stop waiting to feel ready, arguing that confidence doesn’t come before action but is created by action. He describes the “confidence trap,” where preparation becomes procrastination driven by fear of failure, judgment, or loss, and explains that courage—moving forward despite fear—must come first. Wright outlines a sequence: courage creates action, action creates experience, and experience creates evidence that builds confidence and self-trust. He reframes fear as a possible signal of growth and emphasizes that leadership and entrepreneurship require acting amid uncertainty, launching, hiring, investing, and having hard conversations without guarantees. He advises taking one next courageous step to generate feedback, momentum, and clarity, and challenges listeners to choose progress over perfection.

The Business Behind Broadway Magic With Sue Gilad28 août 202600:24:21

On The Daily Mastermind, George Wright III welcomes Grammy and five-time Tony Award-winning producer Sue Gilad for a look at what Broadway can teach entrepreneurs about turning ideas into reality. Gilad explains how growing up as a theater kid led her to producing, why strong partners should cover the skills you lack, and why a pitch only works when the project is truly in your heart and soul. She shares how out-of-town tryouts and candid audience reactions guide creative decisions, why live theater may be an antidote to AI, and how 399 rejections can lead to one yes. Gilad also breaks down the business side of art, the long-term potential of a show, and the daily question that helps her delegate: What can only we do? The conversation closes on choosing experiences over possessions and using stories to create empathy.

Create Your Own Wins with Anthony Suppa27 août 202600:20:09

George Wright III interviews US Marine Corps veteran and serial entrepreneur Anthony Suppa about applying Marine Corps discipline to restaurant leadership, managing people differently, and using failure as a learning tool rather than a stopping point. Suppa explains that motivation should come from accomplishing goals, not the temporary “high” of speakers, and that entrepreneurs must embrace grind, rejection, and persistence. He shares how years of a Toys for Tots toy drive grew into Slice of Charity after partnering with Oheka Castle and hosting events that drew 1,500 people, fueling a mission to help veterans, military families, and children in need. Suppa emphasizes running the charity with volunteers and minimal admin costs, incorporating work into daily life, delegating to grow, and launching Veteran Ally for Commerce to generate profits that fund the charity without relying on donations or grants.

Reach the Right Audience Through Podcasts Spencer Carpenter26 août 202600:30:36

George Wright III welcomes Spencer Carpenter, founder of Outlier Audio, to explain how podcasting helps entrepreneurs build authority, trust, and long-term business value. Drawing on more than 3,500 interviews booked since 2020, Spencer shows why the right audience matters more than the largest audience and how long-form conversations let personality and expertise come through. He breaks down the KAOR framework—keywords, audience, outcomes, and reputable figures—for finding relevant shows and developing topics that connect. The conversation also explores hosting versus guesting, the hidden value of relationships and SEO, and why interviews should be treated as reusable content and personal-brand assets rather than judged only by immediate sales. Spencer’s challenge is simple: clarify who you want to reach, what outcome they want, and build podcast opportunities around fit instead of vanity metrics.

What Rich People Do Differently With Their Money with Buck Joffrey25 août 202600:23:43

George Wright III hosts Buck Joffrey, a former neurosurgeon who shifted to plastics, then entrepreneurship, real estate investing, and financial education. Buck explains he left neurosurgery due to lifestyle demands and moved toward a more entrepreneurial path, later starting the Wealth Formula podcast because existing shows didn’t address high-income professionals trying to optimize what to do next rather than escape a 9–5. He outlines his “Mathematical Wealth Formula” (mass invested, velocity of return, and leverage), warns that entrepreneurs can be poor investors when they overconcentrate in their own business, and emphasizes treating personal finances as a separate business you actively manage. Buck highlights tax strategy as a major wealth lever, including using vacation rentals, cost segregation, and tax-law benefits to offset W2 income, and discusses macro-driven positioning such as discounted, rate-sensitive real estate and expectations for rates to decline over the next few years.

Building a Future That Pulls You Forward24 août 202600:09:31

George Wright III explains why many entrepreneurs don’t really have a motivation problem—they have a clarity problem. Founders can become so consumed by customers, cash flow, deadlines, and past setbacks that they stay productive without feeling directed or fulfilled. George contrasts the fear and pressure that push people into action with a compelling vision that pulls them toward a better future. He separates goals, vision, and purpose: goals define what you want to accomplish, vision shows where you’re going, and purpose explains why the journey matters. He then offers three practical questions: What do I want my life to look like? Why does that future matter? Who do I need to become to create it? The challenge is to stop using the past as a blueprint and let your future self shape the decisions you make today.

Design Your Life Before Your Business Designs It for You21 août 202600:10:43

George Wright III challenges entrepreneurs to ask whether the business they built for freedom has quietly taken control of their time. He explains that a calendar reveals real priorities, why a business should be designed around an ideal life, and why revenue or growth alone won’t create freedom. Real freedom requires deliberate systems, delegation, boundaries, leadership, and a clear definition of what success should provide. George argues that success should expand choices instead of multiplying obligations, and that a great business should support better health, stronger relationships, meaningful work, and more control over time. He closes by asking listeners to review their calendars, remove or delegate an obligation, protect time for what matters, and start designing life intentionally before the business designs it for them.

Next Level Mindset with Nathan Winston20 août 202600:16:50

George Wright III interviews Nathan Winston—former professional baseball player, coach, corrections officer, motivational speaker, and founder of Next Level Mindset—about overcoming obstacles and reframing setbacks. Winston shares being born with PFFD, having his left leg amputated at age four, and being told he would never play sports, yet competing in basketball, baseball, and football while managing sweating and frequent prosthetic failures. He explains how fear nearly stopped him from running onto the court in seventh grade, which shaped his principle of “getting comfortable being uncomfortable.” The conversation focuses on fear of failure, redefining success as doing everything you can, building self-belief, and surrounding yourself with positive people. Winston discusses dark moments from injuries and breaks, and says a work injury motivated him to start writing a memoir and sharing his story through speaking and podcasts.

Guest Bio

Nathan Winston is a former professional baseball player, speaker, and advocate for embracing adversity as a path to growth.

Born with a rare condition called Proximal Femoral Focal Deficiency, Nathan had his left leg amputated at four years old. That never stopped him from competing. Growing up, he played football, basketball, and baseball alongside his peers while learning to overcome challenges most athletes never face—from repairing his prosthetic during games to pitching on a cracked prosthetic foot held together with a homemade splint and duct tape.

Nathan’s determination eventually took him all the way to professional baseball. Through injuries, setbacks, and some of the most difficult moments of his life, he developed what he calls the Next Level Mindset: the understanding that confidence comes after doing the uncomfortable thing, not before.

His philosophy is simple: “Get comfortable being uncomfortable until you get comfortable.”

Today, Nathan shares his story to inspire others to see adversity differently—not as something that has to define their future, but as an experience that can prepare them for their purpose.

Create Once, Influence Forever: Building Content That Compounds19 août 202600:10:53

In this Wednesday episode of The Daily Mastermind, George Wright III explains how entrepreneurs can stop creating “expiring” content and instead build evergreen assets that compound over time. He argues that the best content doesn’t interrupt people’s lives—it improves them—and that educational content builds trust faster than constant promotion by demonstrating expertise and thought leadership at scale. George encourages founders to create leverage by turning one meaningful idea (like a podcast episode) into multiple formats—YouTube, short reels, articles, newsletters, quotes, presentations, or trainings—so the work continues producing value months or years later. He also emphasizes that consistency beats perfection, warning against overthinking and waiting to publish, and challenges listeners to pick one helpful idea, create around it, then strategically distribute it.

The Discipline of Keeping Promises to Yourself17 août 202600:14:27

In this Monday mindset episode of The Daily Mastermind, George Wright III explains that the fastest way to build confidence is to keep the promises you make to yourself, because self-trust—not mood or motivation—is what creates real confidence. He reframes self-discipline as self-respect, built through small, ordinary daily decisions that compound over time, and warns that repeatedly breaking commitments weakens your internal trust just like in any relationship. George emphasizes that actions create confidence, motivation fades, and successful people stop renegotiating priorities based on how they feel. He challenges listeners to choose one meaningful promise they’ve been avoiding and keep it every day this week, celebrate the follow-through, and let the evidence strengthen identity, clarity, and consistency.

Leadership Begins Long Before Anyone Follows You14 août 202600:12:26

In this Friday episode of The Daily Mastermind, George Wright III shares the message that leadership starts in the mirror and isn’t defined by titles but by the standards you set, the commitments you keep, and how you show up when nobody is watching. He emphasizes leading yourself first—managing emotions, staying disciplined, and holding yourself accountable—because people follow actions more than words. George explains that character creates credibility, trust is built through consistent integrity, and influence is earned one interaction at a time, especially under pressure. He warns against creating dependency where everything relies on the leader, urging entrepreneurs to develop more leaders by coaching, delegating responsibility, and allowing mistakes with feedback.

Reprogramming the Subconscious Mind With Curtis McCollum13 août 202600:31:13

On The Daily Mastermind, George Wright III interviews Curtis McCollum, founder of Bespoke Human Potential Coaching, about combining executive coaching with clinical hypnotherapy, neuro-linguistic programming, and mental-emotional release to work with the subconscious mind. McCollum explains that most coaching targets the conscious 5% while his methods address the subconscious 95%, describing NLP as identifying and changing the language and scripts installed early in life, and mental-emotional release as a process to remove emotions like anger, sadness, guilt, fear and limiting beliefs quickly by finding root causes. He outlines his “Legit Mindset” framework—Learning, Expanding, Growing, Transforming—as a repeating cycle that builds capacity, and says common core blockers are “I’m not good enough” and “I’m not worthy.” He advises acknowledging feelings without identifying as them, using deep breathing (4-7-8), asking “what/how” questions, and taking inspired action; he shares losing his son and notes emotions communicate then leave. McCollum directs listeners to curtismccullum.com and his YouTube channel.

Authority Is the New Currency: Why Trust Beats Attention12 août 202600:13:17

George Wright III explains that while visibility and attention matter in an attention economy, trust is the real currency and the goal for founders building long-term reputation. He argues authority compounds over time through repeated proof—valuable content, consistent messaging, conversations, and client results—unlike ads that stop working when spending stops. Popularity and follower counts don’t equal credibility; trust is built through consistency and being known for solving a meaningful problem for a specific audience. Authority bridges the gap between being seen and being chosen, creating opportunities like referrals, partnerships, and speaking. Wright emphasizes reputation as a durable business asset that shortens sales cycles, boosts marketing effectiveness, and attracts talent, and he challenges listeners to identify one problem they want to be known for and demonstrate expertise around it this week.

Khleif describes owning thousands of houses and apartment units, then losing $50 million in the 2008 crash despite a 30% loan-to-value, and recovering by treating failures as “seminars” and not tying identity to any “vehicle” like real estate or business. He shares daily “I am” identity statements, goal setting as life design, and principles of decision, first action, strengths-based teamwork, peer groups, and focus (noting many top performers meditate). He discusses current opportunities amid fear, cautions for passive investing, promotes resources at Rod’s Links, and explains his fulfillment-focused foundation, including feeding over 160,000 children and other local giving initiatives.

Success Without Purpose Is the Fastest Path to Burnout10 août 202600:09:21

George Wright III explains why many successful founders still feel burned out and restless: achievement without purpose feels empty. He argues entrepreneurs often start with a desire for freedom and impact but drift into performance, revenue obsession, and comparison, letting the business become the master instead of the servant. Burnout isn’t a required price of success; founders should build systems, leaders, and processes that return time and control. Purpose provides resilience during setbacks by giving challenges context, while fulfillment comes from living aligned with values rather than external milestones. Wright urges listeners to assess whether their business supports their health, relationships, integrity, and quality of life, and to spend 10 minutes asking why they started, whether current living reflects priorities, and where their path leads in five years.

Protecting Your Attention in an Economy That Profits From Distraction10 août 202600:11:14

In today's episode George Wright III argues that the economy profits from distractions and that entrepreneurs face constant pulls from notifications, people, meetings, and opportunities, making focus essential. George shares that your future is determined more by what you ignore than what you pursue. Attention, more than time, is the most valuable asset because scattered attention wastes available time and breaks momentum, creating hidden opportunity costs. Focus requires intentional elimination rather than better time management, requiring fewer priorities, saying no—even to good opportunities that don’t align—and protecting what matters. Consistent concentrated effort compounds over days, weeks, and months into exponential results, so you are challenged to identify one key priority and eliminate distractions to protect it.

Why Great Leaders Still Self-Destruct with Mark J Silverman06 août 202600:25:22

Mark J. Silverman on Leadership Capacity, Triggers, and Resilience Under Pressure

George Wright III interviews executive coach and author Mark J. Silverman about why leadership breakdowns are often “capacity problems” driven by stress and unresolved childhood overlays in relationships. Silverman shares his journey from alcoholism and addiction to sobriety in 1989, later business success, midlife panic, depression, and rebuilding through endurance goals, therapy, journaling, and self-help—leading him into coaching. He explains allostatic load and how overwhelmed leaders lose composure despite knowing the material, then outlines practical foundations (sleep, food, downtime, family, contemplation) plus his framework from The Rising Leader Handbook: leading up, across, down, and self. He describes building capacity by repeatedly facing discomfort without overreacting, and flags warning signs like autocratic behavior, low curiosity, blaming, and resentment—prompting leaders to ask where they failed to set boundaries, ask for needs, or create clear agreements. He emphasizes preparation over prediction in an uncertain world, accepting unfairness, “working the problem,” and putting yourself on the list; contact is markjsilverman.com.

Why Every Founder Needs an Authority Strategy Before a Marketing Strategy05 août 202600:11:31

George Wright III explains that businesses grow faster when they build authority before spending on marketing, because marketing only amplifies existing positioning while authority earns trust. He argues founders often think more ads or content will fix slow sales, but unclear messaging and weak positioning are simply exposed by increased attention. Authority is created through credibility and consistent thought leadership—podcasts, newsletters, videos, books, speaking, referrals—and it shortens sales cycles, increases referrals, supports higher pricing, and makes marketing more effective. He urges entrepreneurs to build owned media assets (email list, website, community, long-form content) rather than relying on rented platforms with changing algorithms. The takeaway is to invest less in buying attention and more in earning trust by building an authority asset this week, then let marketing amplify it.

Build a Legacy, Not Just a Business with Cory Procter04 août 202600:25:05

George Wright III interviews Cory Procter, founder of ProCapital Wealth Management, author of Built Not Broke, and former NFL player, about helping entrepreneurs convert business success into long-term, intentional wealth and legacy. Procter shares how his family’s bankruptcy after a lawsuit and his own NFL experience shaped his focus on protecting assets and creating financial runway. They discuss why founders often miss financial freedom by staying trapped inside day-to-day operations and failing to take revenue off the table, diversify, and address blind spots like asset titling, maintaining an updated balance sheet, and properly integrating estate documents with how assets are titled and beneficed to avoid probate and unintended disinheritance. Procter emphasizes systematic distributions, risk reduction against litigation or law changes, and acting now to protect family and business, and he shares where to find him and his book.

The Cost of Unclear Thinking 03 août 202600:09:18

George Wright III argues that what holds many businesses back is not marketing or sales but unclear thinking, which creates overwhelm through too many options and decisions. He introduces a new weekly rhythm for The Daily Mastermind: “Think Better” Mondays focused on the inner game and who you need to become, Wednesdays on building your business, Fridays on leadership and lifestyle, and conversations with entrepreneurs and experts on Tuesdays and Thursdays. He challenges the myth that more information leads to better decisions, noting that information creates options and complexity, while clarity comes from deciding what matters most. Procrastination is framed as uncertainty, and clarity is said to come through action and choosing the next answer, not perfect certainty. He emphasizes that confusion is more expensive than failure, encourages focusing on two or three needle-moving priorities tied to vision and purpose, and closes with a reflection question plus an invitation to join The Prosperity Report newsletter at dailymastermind.com.

Drea also discusses identifying personal insecurities that affect leadership, testing business ideas before making the leap, leaving an employer with integrity, and defining success beyond income. About Guest: Jeff Luther

Jeff Luther helps high-achieving leaders turn life’s breakdowns into breakthroughs. A successful entrepreneur and founder of All Can. No Can’t., Jeff speaks from raw personal experience—his heart stopped mid-workout in June 2021. Jeff was literally dead for eight minutes. Revived only after three shocks with an AED. Two months later, his 22-year marriage ended. He lost everything that grounded him—except his will to rebuild. Now Jeff brings that story, and the lessons that came from it, to stages across the country. He’s also the founder of a multimillion-dollar home inspection company and a longtime EO member. His talks blend grit, vulnerability, and practical tools for leaders navigating uncertainty, burnout, or big personal transitions.

Jeff is the speaker for audiences who are tired of fluff and ready for truth. His sessions spark reflection, realignment, and renewed purpose—delivered with authenticity and a little edge.

Declare Your Independence: The Freedom You Build Every Day06 juil. 202600:09:13

George Wright III uses the Independence Day weekend to challenge entrepreneurs and high achievers to examine whether they are personally free—mentally, emotionally, and financially—rather than just legally or politically. He argues many build businesses that own them, becoming trapped by stress, comparison, fear, and endless to-do lists, and says true independence is deeper than money or time: it’s the ability to choose your response, maintain clarity in chaos, and pursue goals with peace. Freedom begins in the mind, requiring a shift away from fear, comparison, and past limitations. He emphasizes that every kind of freedom has a price—discipline, delayed gratification, systems, forgiveness—and invites listeners to write a personal declaration of independence by identifying what to become free from and starting a daily discipline today, while also directing them to dailymastermind.com for resources, a newsletter, and AI automation protocols.

Stop Negotiating With Yourself30 juin 202600:10:02

George Wright III explains that many people compromise their vision by constantly “negotiating” with themselves—hitting snooze, skipping workouts, postponing calls, and delaying hard conversations—and that each small, justified compromise makes the future “pay the price.” He argues success is determined not by promises made when motivated but by promises kept when motivation is gone, because repeated broken commitments condition the mind to see one’s word as negotiable, weakening self-trust, confidence, discipline, and momentum. High performers rely on identity rather than mood, asking “What did I commit to?” instead of “Do I feel like it?” He challenges listeners to identify one promise they’ve been bargaining on and keep it today and tomorrow, building identity through consistency, and invites them to share the episode and join the community at dailymastermind.com.

Turning "Someday" into Today30 juin 202600:08:27

Today George is going to talk about how “Someday” is a costly, dangerous word because it gives permission to delay while today slips away. He challenges the misconception that extraordinary lives are built on big breakthrough moments, explaining they are created through thousands of ordinary days filled with discipline, habits, and small actions taken when nobody is watching. He urges listeners to stop asking what extraordinary thing to do and instead choose one ordinary action today—like working out, making an avoided call, reading instead of scrolling, or having an important conversation—that a future self will appreciate. He proposes evaluating whether repeating today for five years would produce the desired life and, if not, changing the day now. He invites listeners to join the Daily Mastermind community at dailymastermind.com.
