Steve is a 32 year old substitute teacher by day and stand up comedian by night. He was born with Muscular Dystrophy and is an advocate for disability awareness. Steve performs stand up in the NJ/NY area, motivational speeches around the country, and is the co-creator and star of the web series Uplifting Dystrophy. He can be seen in the Hulu show Ramy.
Steve has been performing stand up for over 8 years with his first set at the Comedy Charity Explosion in his hometown of Rutherford, NJ. He has performed at the 2011 Bamboozle music festival and was the co-host of The Lockdown, a monthly stand up show at the People's Improv Theatre in New York City.

Daniel Ennett is a filmmaker, artist, and advocate from Amiskwacîwâskahikan
(ᐊᒥᐢᑿᒌᐚᐢᑲᐦᐃᑲᐣ, so-called Edmonton). Daniel hosted 3 seasons of the web-series Invincible, and the short film Beneath the Surface. Both of those projects follow his adventures as an above elbow/knee quadruple amputee where he tried various adaptive sports like skiing, skydiving, and scuba diving with sharks.
He did all of this in collaboration with his friend Frederick Kroetsch. Together they worked on a 35mm art film, Form and Func7on, as well as a short film Lim(b)itless, where he participated in body suspension. Working with Catapult Pictures, he’s created a series of pitches while he finished his honours degree in psychology. As a sophomore filmmaker he recently made Flesh Ballet, a visual commentary on ableism. From 2022-2023 Daniel worked as a co-director on CBC’s TV-series Push. He maintains a thriving painting/photography practice. His work currently focuses on bringing light to Disabled experiences.

Coombs grew up in Michigan's majestic Upper Peninsula where he spent his childhood roaming the great outdoors. He started photographing his walkabouts in middle school and moved on to portraiture in high school. Coombs received a scholarship to Kendall College of Art and Design in Grand Rapids Michigan. During his third year in undergrad, Coombs sustained a spinal cord injury due to a gymnastics training accident. After a year of recovery, he returned to KCAD and received his BFA in photography in 2013. Coombs' photography explores the intersections of disability and sexuality. Themes of relationships, caregiving, fetish, and sex are depicted and explored throughout. Coombs graduated from the Yale School of Art with his MFA amidst the COVID-19 pandemic and is currently residing in coastal Alabama.

Michelle Asgarali is a Canadian writer/producer with a documentary and TV development background. A Toronto Star article featured her for becoming the first openly-disabled show-runner of a Canadian docu-series. This AMI original docu-series, Breaking Character (Winterhouse Films, 2022-), follows six performers with disabilities as they hustle to make their mark on the stage, screen and runway of Hollywood North. She also was the Lead Story Producer of Season 1 of CBC's Push (Fenix Films and TV/Small Army, 2023-), Canada's first major-network prime time series featuring a leading cast with disabilities, as well as writing for children's programs by Lopii Productions.

With over fifteen years of professional industry experience directing and producing documentary and lifestyle television under her belt, Meagan is excited to explore new opportunities and platforms in the pursuit of creative growth, great projects and beautiful stories.
During the Pandemic Meagan completed a master’s degree in Media Production (The Creative School at Toronto Metropolitan University, 2021) focusing on disability representation in film and television. Her narrative short film, “One Day/Day One” will be participating the festival circuit in 2022/23 season and she is workshopping a number of projects.
She is working closely with AMI, Telefilm and The Canadian Media fund in the development of the Disability Screen Office and Best Practices Guide with respect to disability in the the Canadian Media Industry.

A deaf/blind hispanic Tiktoker and social media advocate, SAMU has a massive following 1 million followers on Tiktok and 60k on Instagram. They frequently use their platform to boost causes' traction, educate able bodied audiences on the effects of policy, and strengthen the disabled community on social media.
Freaque is for the derelicts, the heretics, the tree stumps, and those who live on the fringes of society. A tattered voice, made of strung out words, hung to dry over broken chords on his mother’s piano. “Decompose" was created in his childhood dining room, on the piano he played for 11 years before a spinal cord injury took away his hands. In a wooden womb of darkness, he took what he had and rose above a society that constantly tells us we are not enough, that we’re only worth the possessions we own, the money in our bank accounts, and our body's abilities. We do not have to conform to societal standards to be valued as human beings. That is why he creates music and art.
His music is used as the soundtrack for A Cripple’s Dance. It ranges from stripped down blues and dirt-folk off of his EP “Decompose", to groovy, swampy, singles like “How Are You Not Freaking Out” and “Patience”. He touches on subjects of sexuality, grief, anger, climate change, political and corporate corruption, and uses them to weave a story about life with a Spinal Cord Injury.

Together they worked on a 35mm art film, Form and Func7on, as well as a short film Lim(b)itless, where he participated in body suspension. Working with Catapult Pictures, he’s created a series of pitches while he finished his honours degree in psychology. As a sophomore filmmaker he recently made Flesh Ballet, a visual commentary on ableism. From 2022-2023 Daniel worked as a co-director on CBC’s TV-series Push. He maintains a thriving painting/photography practice. His work currently focuses on bringing light to Disabled experiences.
Frederick first met Daniel Ennett in 2013 when trying to find a web-series to produce. When their show Invincible was greenlit, Frederick left the world of broadcast journalism to move fulltime into documentary TV production. The two of them have been making projects that challenge society’s views on disability ever since.

(ᐊᒥᐢᑿᒌᐚᐢᑲᐦᐃᑲᐣ, so-called Edmonton). Daniel hosted 3 seasons of the web-series Invincible, and the short film Beneath the Surface. Both of those projects follow his adventures as an above elbow/knee quadruple amputee where he tried various adaptive sports like skiing, skydiving, and scuba diving with sharks.
