Jace welcomes Joe Harris to the show to chat about the Zoop campaign for Great Pacific. A somewhat prescient tale about a priveleged heir to an oil fortune who has other ideas for how to make an impact in the world. Set in the stranger-than-fiction real life Great Pacific Garbage Patch, this fast-paced story has tons of twists and turns and is a real page-turner. The main character has so much nuance and the supporting cast are diverse and richky detailed in their own right, as is the world they inhabit. An absolute must-read.

Jace covers the DC Comics titles for the week of August 28, 2024 solo with Rocky on vacation. We get the penultimate issue of Ram V's Detective Comics run and it is really starting to come together. Amanda Waller's true colors are once again shown in Absolute Power Origins while the other event tie-in books this week are filled with action. Two very different takes on Batman in Off World and Dark Age show the versatility of the character and incredible art in both titles. Finally the 30th anniversary of Zero Hour is a worthy addition to that classic story with some fantastic art callign back to the era of the 90's. Jace chats with the co-writers and co-creators of Ramgod from Massive Publishing. Brothers Morgan Rosenblum and Owen Rosenblum give us an overview of the world of Ramgod. The titular sport in the title is, in fact, the world's most dangerous sport and a second chance at athletic stardom for cop, Clint Bowler. it is also a way to finally connect with his estranges son, Malcolm. However, all is not as it seems in the world of Ramgod as conspiracies abound and some teams may be doing more than just competing against the other teams. There's tons of action and layered storytelling in this series so don't miss it!

Rocky and Jace breakdown the DC Comic titles for the week of April 2, 2024. They debate Zod's motivations and wonder where his actions will take him next. Also the Birds of Prey and their inter-team relationships are a real highlight this week, while Poison Ivy's origin continues to feel like a very worthwhile update. Plus the suitably hopeful ending of Superman 78: the Metal Curtain and has The Captain betrayed Billy Batson?

Spawn's past, present and future collide in this epic adventure from the legendary Alan Moore. When Spawn is seemingly attacked by members of the WildCATS, he searches out the team to find answers. When the attackers are revealed as faux CATS, it leads to an adventure in the future that no one is really prepared for. As Spawn discovers that someone from his past is closer than he realizes, it turns out the answer to averting disaster may not lie in the past, present or future, but within Spawn himself and his devotion to family.

Jace and Rocky chat about the DC Comics for the week of March 26, 2024. Detective Comics sees Batman return to Gotham City finally, are we entering the end phase of this long run for Detective? We also see an alternate version of Batman in Dark Age, but is it the same universe as Superman: Space Age? Alan Scott Green Lantern continues to be excellent on several levels and we are so impressed by the character week. Also the first serialized installment of Primer has it reaching new readers including us and it is outstanding. Join us to hear about all these books and more.

Jace welcomes writer Mohsen Ashraf back to the show. They talk about the second volume of Syphon and how it builds on the story of Sylas and his empathic abilities. The duality themes remain, ideas of pleasure and pain are introduced and the scope and history of the powers are greatly expanded on. Curse of Spawn #15-16 - Story - Alan McElroy, Pencils - Dwayne Turner, Inks - Danny Miki, Letters - Tom Orzechowski, Colors - Todd Broeker & Mark Nicholas

Actions from his past have come back to haunt Vito Gravano. When we find out who is after him and why, that's only the beginning. Gravano his to dig deep to survive and we see the ruthlessness he displayed in his youth that allowed him to become the feared mob boss with his own empire. Now that he is older, does he still have it in him to survive, triumph and rebuild?

Jace is joined by aspiring comic creator Paul Eza to chat about his current Kickstarter campaign. It is a comic set in a world where nearly everyone has a special ability and those without are a bit forgotten. What happens when a tragedy occurs and the "Zeroes" might be the only ones who can get to the bottom of what happened? Well, that's the question this comic will answer. Part X-Men, part Scooby Doo mystery and all out comic goodness, this is a project you won't want to miss. Paul gives us some insight into how the comic came about, some of his creative decision regarding the tone of the story and his collaboration with co-creator and series artist, Kasey Quevedo. Jace and Rocky chat about the DC titles for the week of March 19, 2024. Superman ends it second arc which is actually a big story that has been going on since the launch of this volume. Does it reach a satisfying conclusion? You'll have to listen in to find out. The word 'fun' continues to come up over and over when we chat about Justice League vs Godzilla vs King King and rightly so. It has been a long time since an event has brought so much action, excitement and pure superhero joy. Regular Wonder Woman artist Daniel Sampere takes a break from interiors this month on Wonder Woman as we see Diana and Clark search an intergalactic shopping mall to find Bruce the perfect birthday gift. This story has so many heartfelt moments, silly puns and wonderful gags, that it reminds us of some of the best comics of our youth, when continuity, decompressed storytelling and writing for the trade weren't so prevalent.
