| Toby Sits in with Chris Jericho, Bill Bailey, Richard Hammond, Mo Gilligan & Tom Davis #458 | 23 Aug 2024 | 01:30:13 | |
Have you heard the news? Willies are getting bigger! Hello there and welcome to The Chris Moyles Show on Radio X Podcast with Zoe - sorry - Toby Tarrant. As Chris, Dom and Producer James are off this week, Toby is here to save the day, alongside Chris Smith to fill in for Dom. Toby was joined by five absolutely fantastic guests this week. Despite the impressions, Donald Trump didn’t come, neither did Miss Piggy, Yoda almost did, but Louis Armstrong definitely, definitely didn’t. The week kicked off with a visit from Richard Hammond, straight from his workshop where he repaired Radio X’s Johnny Vaughn’s Maserati. Then, comedian and new member of the Global family, Mo Gilligan, made his Radio X debut, telling us all about his new podcast on Global Player. Next, actor, comedian and Toby’s new bestie Tom Davis dropped by, and the wonderful Bill Bailey talked about his new hairdo and S.O.F.A. workout. Finally, Toby got starstruck as he met wrestler and rock icon Chris Jericho, ahead of his AEW appearance this weekend. Though he didn’t put Toby in The Walls of Jericho, he did give us a hot take about two of the greatest bands in UK history…Oasis and S Club 7. Finally, ahead of Toby’s pedalo challenge, ‘Tarrant vs the Thames’ for Global’s Make Some Noise, we’ve recruited the Head of Health and Safety at Global to give Toby some stern (and much needed) advice. Also, Toby gets his pineapples on as he plugnes into an ice pool. So go on, treat yourself! Hit play on the poddy and you’ll also hear…

| Boy George, Rob Brydon, Maisie Adam & Ian Wright’s Euros Update #449 | 21 Jun 2024 | 01:36:07 | |
Hey friend, how ya doin’? The sun is shining, the pub gardens are booming and your favourite podcast is back. What could be better?! Welcome to Episode 449 of The Chris Moyles Show on Radio X Podcast. This week, Pippa returned from Cuba, bringing some smokin’ hot gifts for Chris and the guys. Also, we had a smashing lineup of guests. Firstly, Chris’ favourite judge, Rob Rinder, paid a visit to the studios, so expect the usual level of loveable bickering. From one Rob to another, actor, comedian, TV host and small-man-in-a-box impersonator, Rob Brydon dropped by to tell the team all about the new Tudor-Fantasy series, ‘My Lady Jane’, which is coming soon to Amazon Prime Video. Then, comedian and football fanatic, Maisie Adam, came in to talk Leeds United, Glastonbury and her upcoming UK tour, ‘Appraisal’. Last but not least, the LEGEND that is Boy George brought glamour, giggles and gig news into the studio. Also, with the Euro’s kicking off this week, some may be a little down in the dumps with England’s recent performance. BUT FEAR NOT! Ian Wright is here to spread words of wisdom, dialling into the studio from the host nation itself. Sounds good, right? THERE’S MORE! The list of Glastonbury Flagbearers was finalised, Dom has an update on his embarrassing, shambolic and potentially illegal sweepstake, and also….

The fun times just kept coming as we were also visited by the multi-talented Ben Elton, who had us in stitches talking about the latest revival of his 80s TV show Friday Night Live. As it is October, things got spooky as James had a meeting with his past, when a suspiciously erotic parcel turned up at the studio during Dom’s Letters.

Another week, another podcast and another dose of Toby Tarrant covering Chris. It's fair to say that new heights of radio greatness were reached... Dom did his excellent quiz every day, Johnny Vaughan didn't turn up for his cameo appearance and Toby did terrible impressions of Ozzy Osbourne talking to a horse. In our more respectable content we speak to Blur's Alex James about The Big Feastival and also reprise the game of Ikea or Cheese.

If you were given a fancy new car from work, where’s the first place you’d take it? Would you fill it with rubbish and take it to the tip? Well, James did and it doesn’t get much more exciting than that! Hello and welcome to episode 448 of The Chris Moyles Show on Radio X Podcast! This week was full of comings and goings. As Chris returns from his well-earned holiday, Pippa’s off to Cuba, and as goes for Dom, you never can tell when he'll be on or off. Here’s a word of advice: don’t get too used to Dom being around, as he may be off to prison soon… As the Euros kick off this week, we’re talking all things football, with two ex-England legends. Firstly, Arsenal’s second highest scorer ever, Ian Wright, brought stickers and laughs to the studio, as well as his some high hopes for England’s performance in the tournament. Let’s hope he’s Wright Wright Wright! Then, we were joined by England’s second most capped player, David Seaman, who taught the team how to take the perfect penalty. Additionally, comedian and fellow Radio X presenter Ed Gamble dropped in to the studio, and Chris gave him a taste of his own medicine, asking him some weird and wonderful interview questions. Finally, with the festival just around the corner, the first batch of the Glastonbury Flags were given away this week and Captain Crapbeard revealed that he won’t shower for a week. Lovely. Well, that’s enough chatter. Just hit play and your ears will be flooded with…

| Questionable Cosplay, a Stripping Personal Trainer and Timmy Mallett #350 | 12 Aug 2022 | 01:23:32 | |
What time is it? It’s time for the Chris Moyles Show on Radio X Podcast! We were without our beloved newsreader Dominic Byrne this week, so Pippa took over some of his duties, including reading out his letters feature. That led to a whole chat about cosplay, and how innocent it all is (or isn’t). Our visual producer, Sam, went on holiday this week as well, and 'accidentally' dyed his hair blonde/orange after a few wines. Chris then revealed that his personal trainer once was a stripper, managed by his dad! Normal stuff! Timmy Mallett joined the team for a chat, after his bike ride around the UK coastline ended, before Intern Dr Pepper (or Danny to his friends) played a game with the team, called 'Yeah!’ We finished with Pippa having a go at presenting on the station, before we said goodbye to Intern Dr Pepper with some surprise gifts.
But if that wasn’t enough….
- A run in with a Spanish Cleaner
- James’ favourite parody songs
- Pippa told us about the time she ran the London Marathon (she kept that quiet)

| Introducing: Restless Natives ! | 09 Aug 2022 | 00:01:31 | |
Hey listener, here's a podcast we think you'd like...
Restless Natives is a cult Scottish film from 1985 featuring two scallywags – The Clown & The Wolfman. It’s iconic. Two resourceful rascals who take on the ambitious task of holding-up tourist buses in the Highlands… They were Robin Hood, only Scottish and on the back of a motorbike.
Gordon Smart & Martin Compston are sampling that spirit - inspired by The Clown & The Wolfman - and distilling it into a podcast. They are setting themselves lofty ambitions before setting off in pursuit of tasks and goals they have absolutely no right achieving. A bit like their careers in TV, movies, newspapers and radio…
Join them as they recount some of their ridiculous scrapes and adventures from the past while they plan even more ambitious, unreachable schemes for the future. Some of them will be achieved and others will crash and burn spectacularly. They’ve got lots to talk about, lots to share with you and nothing but time.
As the film once said: “Is this the end of the story or a beginning of a legend?”
| Shaun Williamson’s Pub Quiz, Dom’s Criminal Activities and a Dom-Related Who Are You #349 | 05 Aug 2022 | 01:32:30 | |
Hey there podcast fan! You’ve found the latest episode of the Chris Moyles Show on Radio X Podcast! This week, we kicked off with a story about our very own Dominic Byrne, and his brush with the law. Shaun Williamson, aka Barry from EastEnders, joined the show this week to present the Monday Night Pub Quiz, as Rob DJ was on his holidays. We were then visited by “Gok Wan”, who sounds VERY different to his usual self. We also quizzed our intern, Danny, on his questionable food and drinking habits. Our latest 'Who Are You’ guest then turned out to be a BIG fan of Dom, before Chris got a migraine on air, which lead to him wearing a pair of Pippa’s sunglasses, much to his dismay. We finished with a chat with Issy Panayis, and educated her all about the old ways of doing radio.
But if that wasn’t enough….
-Some fun Loch Ness merchandise
-Some shorter-than-short short shorts
-Some surreal Paul Turner jingles

It’s time for your weekly dose of the Chris Moyles Show on Radio X Podcast. We kick off with a recap of the song John Kettley Is A Weatherman, and it’s performance in last week’s Big Top 40, before actor Daniel Mays joins the team ahead of the new series of Code 404. Shaun Williamson, better know as Barry from EastEnders, was featured in Pippa’s Weekend Roundup Quiz Type Thing, for singing on stage with Sam Fender, which meant we had to get him on the show to talk about it. Shaun, that is. We didn’t speak to Sam about his experience. We delve a little deeper into what Chris can expect from Whitehaven, ahead of his visit there, followed by our latest edition of Who Are You, who turned out to be a legend of his field. Finally, we said goodbye to our sound designer, Matt Parkes-Smith, who was leaving the show to move up a floor. We therefore had to bring back some of his highlights to recreate on the show.

That’s right, it’s time for another edition of the Chris Moyles Show on Radio X Podcast. In a very busy and weird week, we caught up with Pippa after her Hen Do, and had a little suprise waiting for her. It was the hottest day ever recorded, which lead to John Kettley, famous weatherman, featuring on the news. Cue a campaign by Chris to get A Tribe of Toffs’ 80s track, 'John Kettley Is A Weather Man', to number 1 in the iTunes chart. Timmy Mallett later joined the show to give us his latest update on his bike tour of the coast of Great Britain, before an exciting Who Are You guest that Chris knew INSTANTLY... but took Dom a little while to get. We then spoke to Issy Panayis, who presents from 4am to 6:30am every weekday, ahead of her festival trip, which lead us down the very strange path of people streaming themselves sleeping on Twitch. This gave us the opportunity to prank Dom, and set up a Twitch stream from “his bedroom” where we left him to sleep in front of thousands of people. Actually paid to sleep.

We introduce a new game called “Expert In A Day”, which includes the punishment of an electric shock machine, called an E-Stim. The whole team has a go, which produces some brilliant results. Andi Peters joins the team live from the Love Island villa, before James May talks to Chris and the team ahead of his new Prime Video travel show, however the chat is derailed quickly by Tesco self service and pub chat. A right royal welcome to a, slightly shorter, Chris Moyles Show on Radio X Podcast, thanks to the Jubilee Weekend. We may have only had 3 days on air, but we still had a lot of fun! As part of the weekend round-up, Chris and the team heard Nadine Dorris and Andrew Neils attempts at rapping. Big CRINGE alert! We learnt about James’ reason for missing the huge gig that is Liam Gallagher at Knebworth this week. Speaking of, we gave out the last tickets available to listeners of the show this week, although one winner didn’t quite realise it was Chris calling him back when he answered. Paddy McGuinness, Freddie Flintoff and Chris Harris also joined for a chat ahead of the new Top Gear series, before some drama with Jubilee limited edition wine. Dom also had a bit of trouble naming the software used to make presentations with slides of pictures on. Any guesses?

| Ant & Dec, Ian Wright and James' Stolen Shoes #339 | 27 May 2022 | 01:29:37 | |
Here it is! Your latest fix of The Chris Moyles Show On Radio X Podcast. We had loads of guests on the show this week. We started off talking to Ardal O’Hanlon, aka Father Dougal in Father Ted, and spoke about his new book; Brouhaha. We (it was mainly Pippa) spent five minutes dissecting a joke about Max Verstappen’s dad, before Dom sat down with Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen to talk about the upcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi TV Series. "Who Are You" returned, and featured a guest who spent thousands of pounds on a viral prank. James also “lost” his shoes, after Chris stole them and hid them around the building, before finishing the week with a joyful chat with Ant & Dec, and a lovely catch-up with Ian Wright.
But the laughter doesn’t end there….
- Dom’s Imaginary Friend
- A knock-off Tom Cruise and Julia Roberts
- A VERY unfortunate mispronunciation during the news

| Jon Hamm, Karl Urban and the #SPRITECHALLENGE #338 | 20 May 2022 | 01:32:03 | |
We’ve had a busy week this week, not just with guests, but also with the new software that plays out all our jingles and songs! Expect plenty of hiccups and slips. Speaking of hiccups, we did the #SPRITECHALLENGE in the studio, where Producer Matt drank one and a half cans of Sprite, and then tried not to burp. The results were WONDERFUL! Fresh from his second placed finish (first in our hearts) at Eurovision, Sam Ryder came for a chat. We also spoke to Iain Stirling ahead of his new Prime Video stand up show, as well as Jon Hamm ahead of Top Gun: Maverick, where Chris gave Jon a proper UK welcome in the form of Freddos. Karl Urban then visited the studio, promoting the third season of The Boys, before Nick Knowles came and spoke his new decluttering show on Channel 5.
But it’s not all guests and burping…
- “Florence” pays a visit for the first time
- Dom’s Gym Membership
- More WhatsApp messages

You’ve found The Chris Moyles Show On Radio X Podcast, and what a podcast it is! We kicked off the week with some ‘shocking’ birthday surprises for Producer Matt, although we're not sure how much enjoyed them. Tom Kerridge came onto the show, and we gave him the Chris Moyles Breakfast Special Omelette to try, in the hopes of getting a stall at the upcoming Pub in the Park festivals. Chris then surprised the team with a 5kg block of popcorn. Where it came from? No one knows. Si King of the Hairy Bikers then came in to talk about their new diet cook book, which includes some unbelievable recipes that we’ll definitely be trying. Finally, Rag N Bone Man joined the team and spoke about his upcoming Heritage show at Kenwood House, as well as what’s included on his rider (which includes a very random vegetable).

Four day week? Don’t let that fool you into thinking this week’s Chris Moyles Show on Radio X Podcast is gonna be a short one! It was guests galore this bank holiday week, and we kicked it off with Jake Bugg having a chat ahead of his supporting set for Noel Gallagher at Kenwood House. Chris’ mystical betting powers came to the rescue this week, much to the delight of Dom, before Sam expressed his delight after Manchester City’s loss in the football midweek. Toby Tarrant’s Dad, and Pippa’s future Father-In-Law, came and visited Chris and the team in the studio, and spoke all about his new book “It’s Not A Proper Job”, whilst also quashing suggestions of him and Toby doing a radio show together. Boy George also stopped by to chat about the Heritage Live shows that Culture Club are doing, which allowed Dom to show off his vocal ‘talents’, giving his best rendition of Karma Chameleon. Finally, Dick and Dom spoke about Da Bungalow Live, and played Celebrity Two Word Tango with Chris and the team!

John Simm joined the show to chat about the return of his show Grace, and spoke about how he is NOT from Leeds, even though he’s from Leeds. Chris and Dom finally got to visit PMQs, although they were not expecting the breaking news story whilst they were there of an MP watching some adult videos during a mass debate. No, it wasn’t Dom. | Timmy Mallett, a cardboard box on a baseball bat, and Chris’ Dubai facial review #333 | 15 Apr 2022 | 01:27:01
Hello podcast listener! This is the Chris Moyles Show on Radio X Podcast. What happened this week, you ask? Well, Chris is back from his two week holiday, and tells the team about his Dubai facial experience. With Dominic Byrne off this week, Dom Ellis sat in as newsreader, and told the team all about his anniversary tiramisu, whilst Chris also tested Dom’s ability to read the weather whilst hearing his own voice back, with a half-second delay. Harder than it sounds! Timmy Mallett came on the show to talk about his tour of Britain on his bike, which lead the team to play their own game of Mallett’s Mallet from Wacaday, with a questionable home-made mallet. The team did another text roll call, asking friends and family to text them live to see who was listening, although it didn’t go as expected for Chris…

Four words: Chris. Moyles. Gets. Electrocuted. Interested? Thought so. Hey hey! What’s the buzz? Must be Chris’ arms, as he undertook The Boffin Booth, being tested on the almighty Mr Blobby with pretty shocking results. There were two great guests this week. Firstly, Welcome to Wrexham’s Humphrey Ker was welcomed into the studio for a game of ‘Who Are You?’, talking all-things football, Ryan Reynolds and the back of Katy Perry’s head. Then, Chris and the team were joined by Alex James, whose CV is as follows: Blur bassist, cheese connoisseur, festival founder and Frazzle fanatic. What a guy! As well as all that, Chris and the team turned their heads to the Glastonbury weekend, picking flags for some lucky listeners to take with them to the festival. So, go forth, hit play, and as Toby Tarrant once said, ‘spread your cheese, wherever you please’. Also in this episode…
Ooh, hang on, BREAKING NEWS! An update on Dom’s Euros Sweepstake! It’s still shambolic. Enjoy! The Chris Moyles Show on Radio X Weekdays 6:30am-10am
| Joel & Hannah Dommett, Alex Horne, and the Battle of the Tradesmen #332 | 08 Apr 2022 | 01:29:17 | |
With Chris still off on holiday, Toby Tarrant was back in the chair. So this week’s show included stories like Toby putting Pippa’s underwear on his head and stealing a poem about a crocodile. Joel and Hannah Dommett joined us to talk about their new podcast, ‘Never Have I Ever’, although things got tense when Hannah suggested muting Joel. Things got even more heated when Toby and Dom set different tradesmen against each other. Nigel the Plasterer vs. Sarah the Electrician. We’ll let you judge who the winner is. Milton Jones joined us on the show… well… kind of? He didn’t talk for the first half of the interview. Great for a radio interview! Dom then received a leaflet for a retirement home with some AMAZING EXCITING activities on, before Alex Horne joined us to chat about all things Taskmaster, before being set a task by Toby himself (with a twist)!

| Dom's Top Gun Game, A Wedding Proposal & a dog called David Bowie #331 | 01 Apr 2022 | 01:27:39 | |
Chris is taking a well earned couple of weeks rest, which means Toby Tarrant was sitting in this week! Cue the chaos. Pippa was in the studio whilst Producer Vin was off with Covid, where the chat varied from Chris Tarrant skiing, a dog called David Bowie, and horse balls. The show also received a wedding proposal, which was read out with some questionable backing music. Vin was back in the studio half way through the week, but more Covid chaos meant Dom sat in a different studio, where they played his new game; 'Top Gun or Not Gun', in light of the new Top Gun trailer dropping. By the end of the week, Toby ended up broadcasting from home in fears that he had Covid (and took what we think is a world first Lateral Flow Test live on air), where the chat ranged from Liam Payne’s interview after the Oscars to dropping his electric toothbrush in the toilet.
And then on top of that…
- Dom giving Kelly Jones from Stereophonics a piggyback
- Poundland playing PJ and Duncan
- A caller who was on Naked Attraction

But as one of the team returns, another leaves. Matt got Covid and lost his sense of smell. What better opportunity to revisit the Swedish Fermented Fish saga from 18 months ago. Not recommended for the squeamish. Joe Pasquale was the first of many guests to join us, and spoke about his home move to Norfolk. Later on, we were joined by the Celebrity Juice team of Keith Lemon, Emily Atack and Laura Whitmore as they spoke all things Juice ahead of the new season, as well as their tactics to help Emily’s love life. Tim told us all about his new book of poems and conversations, ‘Here We Go Round the Mulberry Bush’ which reflects on the various lockdowns. Chris inferred that Tim really missed the pubs in lockdown after reading a few of the poems and Tim was surprised how quickly that fact had come to light! Dom also went on an adventure into Leicester Square this week to sell some of the Chris Moyles Show Pants!
