| Episode 206 | Top 10 Horror Movie Chase Scenes | 06 oct. 2026 | 01:56:33 | |
Catching up on last month's Patreon's Choice episode: The Top 10 Horror Movie Chase Scenes, where Zack and Tim will go through their favorite chase scenes, along with some honorable mentions. A lot goes into crafting a great chase scene, and it seems to be a lost art form in the horror genre these days. Most studio execs would sooner trim them down for a shorter runtime, and most filmmakers take a more formulaic approach. So we really wanted to get some deep cuts for our selections, which we feel are an elevation on the typical point A to point B chase. Also, there's no regular Cherry Picker Poll this week, but if you would like to help us decide what is truly the best horror movie chase scene, check out the poll on YouTube and our social media accounts.

Join us as we discuss everything from the correlation to the video games, where we feel the film exceeds and disappoints, and also where it lands in the Resident Evil film franchise, as well as Zach Cregger's filmography. Also, as always, we've picked out the most loathsome characters from the film, so join us at the end of the episode in voting for which one was the most deserving to die. ● ● ●

We went and checked out the new horror movie, Buddy, so we could tell you all about it. Could this be the start of a new franchise, or is it a fleeting gimmick that will mostly be forgotten. Join us as we weigh in on our thoughts of the homicidal orange unicorn that is continuing this year's trend of low budget indie horror. Also, as always, we've picked out the most loathsome characters from the film, so join us at the end of the episode in voting for which one was the most deserving to die.

Also, as always, we've picked out the most loathsome characters from the film, so join us at the end of the episode in voting for which one was the most deserving to die. ● ● ●
| Episode 166 | Wes Craven's New Nightmare (1994) | 02 déc. 2025 | 02:13:18 | |
🦖 With this being Eddie's last month co-hosting the podcast, we wanted to finish off one of his favorite franchises that we have been covering... I mean, technically, we haven't covered the remake yet, but The Nightmare on Elm Street franchise would not be complete without Wes Craven's super meta, high concept sequel, which also happens to be the concluding chapter in what we lovingly like to refer to as "The Nancy Trilogy". Also, as always, we've picked out the most loathsome characters from the film, so join us at the end of the episode in voting for which one was the most deserving to die. ● ● ●

| Episode 164 | Thanksgiving (2023) | 18 nov. 2025 | 02:27:13 | |
🦃 We love slashers here at The Cherry Picker, and with the holiday right around the corner, we figured it was a good time to visit a newer entry in the genre with Eli Roth's Thanksgiving. In this episode we will discuss the original "Grindhouse" trailer that started it all, and how it evolved into a feature film 16 years later. This is a fun episode, because Thanksgiving is a movie that inspires a lot of debate and forces us to examine what works and doesn't work in a horror film, and how different the genre is today. Also, as always, we've picked out the most loathsome characters from the film, so join us at the end of the episode in voting for which one was the most deserving to die. ● ● ●

🛍️ Reaching way back to the early 90s with this one! Before it was a hit television series starring Sarah Michelle Gellar, Buffy was a wacky offbeat movie which was heavily meddled, resulting in a tonally different version which flopped hard, but has since become a cult classic. Join us as we mine the comedy gold, and draw comparisons to what the series would eventually become. Also, as always, we've picked out the most loathsome characters from the film, so join us at the end of the episode in voting for which one was the most deserving to die. ● ● ●

📐 The Halloween franchise marathon comes to its conclusion this week with a supersized episode where we will be talking about 2 MOVIES IN 1 with the Theatrical and Producer's Cuts of Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers. We do our best to rationalize the crazy thorn cult stuff. We will also provide our rankings of the Halloween franchise so far (only based on the movies we've covered... which is basically all of them now, except for the Rob Zombie entries). Also, as always, we've picked out the most loathsome characters from the film, so join us at the end of the episode in voting for which one was the most deserving to die. ● ● ●
