Through personal stories and professional insights, she discusses overcoming self-doubt, imposter syndrome, and misconceptions around talent and perfectionism.

Jenny also introduces her holistic approach, blending somatic practices, sound healing, and creative coaching, which has helped numerous women above 50 reclaim their creative voices.

The Freedom Fighter For Ukraine22 Mar 202200:24:12

Our guest today is Daria Aleksieieva, Growth Marketing Manager at Popup and Freedom Fighter for Ukraine.

I found out about Daria by reading one of her Linkedin posts that was matched for content relevancy with The Career Changers.

The post was saying

From marketer to bartender in 1 day

Hey, let me introduce myself

My name is Daria, I’m 31 years old and I live in Kyiv, Ukraine

In January I joined Popup as a marketer thanks to Matteo Grassi

But on February 24 I became a bartender in just 1 day

On the photo it’s me yesterday helping our country with bottles for cocktails

Starting from Wednesday Ukrainians’ favourite one is Molotov

That’s why switching my role to bartender seemed more logical.

For the same reason…

Many Ukrainian developers became our defenders

Sales managers became volunteers

Taxi drivers became humanitarian aid providers

Restaurant owners - chefs to cook for our army and people in need

Clothes brand owners - military nets makers

Many of us have been working with you or for your companies

Now, some of us have more important things to do

When this ends - we will all become street cleaners and builders for a while

Support us with handling what’s going on on our territory right now

And then we will be back as even better versions of ourselves

No matter what job we had.

I did not know the language, not even a single word.  From the ages of 5 to 16, not only was I scared of communication, like most of us, but I had to give presentations in a language I DIDN’T EVEN KNOW” .

Today Brendan will explain:
1. How to find your public speaking why  and why this is so important
2. 3 practical tips: The random word (spoiler alert. we are talking about love!), silence drills and the endless gaze.
3. Much more!

Once I made the leap, the real work began as I had jumped into the unknown and, with hindsight, picked one of the most difficult times to start out in a new business venture”.

How To Live An Extraordinary Life | Terry Tucker06 Oct 202100:46:58

In this episode, we're going to talk about career change and inspiring people to leave uncommon lives with Terry Tucker, Motivational Speaker and Author of Sustainable Excellence, Ten Principles to Leading Your Uncommon and Extraordinary Life.

Terry has reinvented himself frequently over his professional career. Each time he took on a new job, he had to develop new skills and face different challenges. But the greatest challenge of all began in early 2012 when he was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. Is it then that he realised that during times of pain and suffering we have two choices. To succumb to debilitating discomfort and misery, or to embrace the pain and use it to make us stronger and better human beings. Changing The World One Step At A Time | Cooper Rust30 Sep 202100:25:23

In 2012, professional ballet dancer Cooper Rust, travelled to Kibera slum in Nairobi, to volunteer as a dance instructor with Anno’s Africa. So profoundly moved by her experience in Kibera, Cooper returned to her home in Columbia and founded Artists For Africa, a non-profit organization to help support arts education in Kenya.

Cooper returned to Nairobi soon thereafter and took up residence. Since then, she has been teaching full-time and working tirelessly to give the most destitute children opportunities to discover the arts.

In this episode, we are going to discuss her career change in the dance industry and how she’s been changing the world one step at a time!

Who Could You Become? | Eric Bedell23 Sep 202100:38:59

Eric Bedell, holistic personal development coach,  has experienced a string of career change going from drummer, world-class music venue manager, special education personal aide, running a vegan juice cafe, full-time personal trainer, and on, before becoming a coach.

In his words " I've spent the majority of my life living through experiences that have broken me down along the way; a multi-year battle with disordered eating and negative self-image, failures to approach the world in the best ways, and an upending of who I was from a collapsed marriage. Once the lessons and wisdom from these experiences were integrated into my conscious worldview, they became mechanisms for helping others achieve the balance, peace, and clarity of direction that I discovered for myself".

If you have ever asked yourself "Who could I become?" listen to this episode to find some inspirational answers.

Some of the key learnings from Eric?

" I don't think there is never a point where you can find yourself but you can find your path." "The biggest inspirations tend to come out of the darkest period of our life".
"Dream as big as you can dream, and act as small as you can act".

How to overcome limiting beliefs and self-sabotage to reach your potential | Anastasia Attiki07 Apr 202100:36:15

In this new episode, we're going to talk about career change with Anastasia Attiki, Transformation Coach.  We'll discuss her career change from marketing to teaching and finally coaching, why a successful career change needs to starts from the inside out, and the secret to overcome limiting beliefs and self-sabotage.

After taking some time to study several techniques and work out what was best for herself, in 2012 took the plunge and became a coach.

Helping Men To Overcome The Pain Of Miscarriage | Chris Whitfield06 Apr 202100:23:58

In this episode we're going to talk about career change with Chris Whitfield, Founder of Miscarriage for Men. We will discuss his military career change from Naval Aviator in the Royal Navy to Operations and Compliance Manager in the civilian world, and what took him to create Miscarriage for men.

After Chris and his wife Jade suffered a miscarriage in February 2021, and on the back of this, Chris realized that there was very little support or anywhere to turn to for men, who were going through the agony of miscarriage. Whilst a lot of sites offer advice, the majority was tailored towards women (and rightly so) but men will choose to hide this emotion rather than speak up about their emotional state. Miscarriage for men is a community that allows men to release their emotions and see stories from men in a similar scenario as them and let them know they are not alone.

When Cupido Is A Dating Coach | Abi Blears01 Apr 202100:30:14

In this episode, I am meeting Abi Blears. We are discussing how she managed to change her career successfully, from professional actress to massage therapist and finally dating coach, matchmaker and online dating specialist.
Abi's career change happened after she started questioning if acting was the right career for her.  At the same time, her mum fell ill and soon passed away. Losing her main cheerleader and the person that was inspiring her to be an actress made it clear that acting was not for her anymore.
One night, while watching the UK dating programme "First dates" she started to think if "matchmaking" could have been an actual profession and realised that it would have felt amazing to help people find love.
Abi is one of the few UK based dating coaches who are certified in science-based coaching with the Matchmaking Institute NYC. She uses research-based strategies to help people to prepare themselves for long-term monogamous commitments and provide bespoke coaching tailored to her client’s individual needs.

In this episode we're going to meet Marylin Rebelo.  We'll discuss how she managed to change her career successfully, from media marketing communication to "marriage preparation and celebration", and the wider challenges of transitioning career.  You can discover more about Marylin by visiting her website.

In her words: " I consider myself to be someone who accompanies and who creates. The terms "officiant", "celebrant" or "master of secular ceremonies" are often used to describe my profession. They don’t really reflect all of my work but mainly illustrate its outcome.
In my view, it all starts with meaningful guidance. One that prepares you for your marriage in the sense of your marital life and not just the wedding day. One that takes the time to think about your story and connect to it. Thus leading to the creation of an extraordinary moment enhanced by carefully chosen words and conveyed emotions to be always cherished by you and your loved ones".

Losing my dream job and starting again with Raja Yoga Meditation | Parmjit Basra14 Sep 202000:42:38

In this episode Parmjit Basra is guest of The Career Changers and is sharing his inspirational career change story, going from a failed business to the discovery of Raja Yoga Meditation and a new career.

When he first attended a Raja Yoga meditation class 15 years ago, it was because his wife kept insisting it would do him some good.  He had been in business with his father, and a downturn in the economy meant they had to fold. Seven years on, the aftermath of settling financial commitments had ground him down to a point where he was feeling very stressed.

His reluctance was based on the assumption: “How can meditation fix real problems?” but he instantly felt the benefit.  The meditation enabled him to think more clearly, and what he learned from the teachings reminded him that he had choices, and he had to take responsibility for those choices.

Today Parmjit Basra is a student and teacher of Raja Yoga Meditation. He has many years of experience of facilitating courses, talks and seminars on self-development to a variety of audiences.

Looking to change your career but don't know where to start?

Find your inspiration with Jim Hughes, who shares his story of transitioning from employee to entrepreneur.

After years of working in a traditional career, Jim decided it was time for a change. And that's when he discovered his love for business and entrepreneurship.

In this episode, you can learn the tips and techniques Jim used to make the switch from employee to entrepreneur and learn how to identify your passions, find your business ideas, and start planning your business journey.

Whether you're looking to make a career change or just take a step in a new direction, this episode is a great place to start!

Jim Hughes is the Untamed Entrepreneur, a personal and business coach and speaker, with a penchant for travel, adventure, and as he would say "bad jokes".

He has worked with:

- 8 figure business owners

- World Record holders

 - Senior military leaders

- Lots of people in between

A few years ago, he was a tired, demotivated, and disillusioned employee. The job that once challenged and raised him, had started to weigh him down. He had stopped looking forward to the next day and began to understand what others meant by ‘Monday morning blues’. He had seen others around him live in a state of -at best- apathy and -at worst- disdain, towards their work and told himself this would never be him.

This is when he decided it was the right time for some drastic changes in his life.
