Season 1 · Episode 6
lundi 12 mai 2025 • Duration 46:38
On this episode of The Burner, we’re joined by Max and Ruby, the student organizers behind the recent occupation of a Boeing-funded building at the University of Washington. They expose Boeing’s role in the genocide in Gaza, open up about police violence, and tackle the backlash —addressing accusations of antisemitism, their statements about Oct. 7, and the property destruction.
The students of SUPER UW have asked for both financial support as well as help pressuring UW and the King County Prosecuting Attorney into dropping charges against students and lifting the student suspensions.

Goddamn this audio quality is about to blow your mind. We bought a new mixer and everything, just in time for our second guest ever, Justin Ward from DivestSPD. In our hot takes segment, we talk about cops watching porn in their cars, naked gardening, and City Attorney Ann Davison's election year stunt. For our main topic, we explain why everyone is still super gross for caring so much about a random woman's sex life. Then, we end on the Seattle City Council's latest strategy to rollback renter protections and give you some amazing advice for how to prevent it.

Season 1 · Episode 4
lundi 28 avril 2025 • Duration 47:10
BREAKING: Rich women in Seattle suck too. We take a break from curb stomping Governor Bob Ferguson's political agenda and covering the state legislature to talk about some of the WOMEN who have disappointed us lately. First, Melinda Gates takes the stage at the Paramount and her advice and perspective is underwhelming. How can you claim to help women while donating to PACs that fought the Capital Gains tax, Melinda? Then, we move on to analysis of the race for King County Executive. We just want this to be over. Too many friends in both camps. But we do pick a side. Finally, we talk Denny Blaine and the best/worst ways to create hostile masturbation infrastructure. Follow for more coverage at the Burner Seattle, and don't forget to call in with your questions to (571) IT BURNS. Byeeeeeeee

Vote No April 22 and Rent Destabilization in Olympia
Season 1 · Episode 2
lundi 14 avril 2025 • Duration 27:49
Oh my god did you hear??? King County wants us to pay $24 a year for a fingerprinting database. And they're sending all the data to ICE. Sounds like a raw deal, huh? Let's cancel that subscription by voting "No" in the April 22 Special Election. We'll tell you when to vote "Yes" on a property levy...maybe when it funds public defenders.
Meanwhile in Olympia, the Washington Senate Democrats defiled the rent stabilization bill and Governor Bob Ferguson maintains his crusade against the Wealth Tax. The Democrats may be fed up with Bobby Ferg enough that they could circumvent take the wealth tax straight to the people. But would they win? Maybe. Would it feel good to do it just to mess with Governor-No-Fun-Ferguson? Absolutely.
