In this episode, we talk about his time in school, how we finally reconnected, his life now being certified to teach assistive technology, the Radio hobby, football, the weather, and how we were going to take him to the Columbus airshow the next day. In addition to that, Crayton has his own podcast called Crayton's audio blog. It is only available on spreaker at the moment. It is unknown when he wants to put it elsewhere. If you want, please support his podcast and subscribe to his podcast!

https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/craytons-audio-blog--5330137

I'm sorry if he sounded quiet to some in this episode, but he was chilling in the bed instead of being close to me where I was recording. I convinced him to get out of there, but he was still in there, but we digress.

Thank you for listening to the Bryce podcast! Finally, I made it to the 20th episode, and it took me about what, six years? Anyway, in this episode, I talk about what went on this summer. I've been able to do a lot, and it was pretty good this year. The airshow, to the Fourth of July party, the fairs and festivals, you name it I was doing it! I also discussed some events this summer, in sports such as the Olympics and the Paralympics in Paris. I also purchased a lot of cool stuff this summer, like my FM transmitter, my Zoom H1, and recently I got my head held CB radio, which is pretty cool as well.

If you like this, stay tuned for more of these.

Episode 19 - This FM DX Season Was Hit Or Miss30 août 202400:18:09

Thank you for listening to the newest edition of The Bryce podcast! In this new episode, I discuss about DXing, particularly the FM band. This summer, there has been less skip activity, but there has been stuff that I've gotten that have made up for lost time. However, there's still some DXing to do, even if it's not all the time. We still may have some tropo openings that may happen here and there. It may not be all the time like it is spring and summer, but you'll be able to have a surprise opening here and there. Sporadic skip will make its return usually at the end of the year, until somewhere the beginning of the year. Despite the lack of skip activity, I was able to catch some skip this year. Most of it was tropo openings, which is decent. This episode was recorded with the Zoom H1 essential.

Stay tuned for the next episode where I'm gonna reflect and talk about how good this summer was.

Episode 18 - review of the Zoom H1 Essential audio recorder10 août 202400:14:15
Thank you for listening to this new edition of The Bryce podcast. In this new episode, I wanted to talk about the zoom H one audio recorder, review it, and give my personal observations about it. I still have the Olympus DM 720. There seems to be an issue with the USB port of the recorder, because windows doesn't recognize that device anymore. While I could still use the recorder with a SD card, I wanted to try this one out. Zoom has remodeled their Zoom essential series like the zoom H1, so that way they can implement 32 bit float technology. This is why it's the 2024 model. In fact, this episode was recorded with the ZoomH1. This recorder is a talking recorder, meaning it can read about every prompt to you if you want. It has the ability to record in mono or stereo. It has a bunch of microphones, which are pretty sensitive. It can also work with USB microphones, so if you have a USB mic, then you'll be able to use it with this, and the rest of the Zoom essential series of recorders. It requires a SD card to record. If you liked this, then follow for more episodes when they drop.
Episode 17 - Talking About iOS 1830 juin 202400:15:07
Thanks so much for listening to this new episode! In this new episode, I talk about what's new with iOS 18 and my experience using the beta. iOS 18 is projected to be the biggest update ever since iOS 7, and even iOS 10. It includes a whole list of features like apple intelligence, stereo recording with voice memos, transcribed recordings in voice memos, phone call recording, transcription for podcasts, a complete redesign of photos app, and much more. We are currently sitting at beta two, and public beta testers should see the public beta one come out the first week of July. Unfortunately, I can't give my opinion on iPadOS 18, since my iPad doesn't support it. Otherwise, I would've talked about it in this episode.
Episode 16 - I Went To The Columbus Airshow This Past Weekend And It Was Awesome!19 juin 202400:18:07
Thanks for listening to the 16th episode of this podcast. This past Friday on June 14 I went to the Columbus airshow at the Rickenbacker International Airport,, and it was awesome. There were a lot of things to get into over there, a lot of performances , drag racing, and I even got to get on the planes that were there. The US Thunderbirds performed for the last part of the show at 3 o'clock. This event lasted throughout the weekend until Sunday. We got our tickets three months before the show, which was probably a good thing. I managed to get a lot of photos and videos of this event, and I even got stuff from my GoPro, so I made a vlog about it. You can watch the video here: https://youtu.be/wjkK6vhqLZk?si=Gqka9a-ORMBctR5q. Thanks for listening!
Episode 15 - Talking About The Olympus DM 720 Audio Recorder16 mai 202400:14:17
Thank you all for listening to this new episode. In this new episode I give my thoughts on the Olympus DM 720 recorder, which I got not too long ago. This is also the first episode ever recorded with it. It has stereo recording capabilities with stereo microphones built in. It also can talk, which is good. The batteries on this recorder are rechargeable so you can plug it in your computer and charge it that way. It can be tricky plugging it into the computer, but eventually I did figure out how to do that. Stay tuned for the next episode.

Episode 13 - talking about the world of AI in 2023 and the year of 202407 avr. 202400:29:59
Welcome to a new episode of The Bryce podcast! In this new episode, I talk about everything with AI, and all the new stuff that came out last year and this year alone. I talk about ElevenLabs, ChatGPT, Suno AI, just to name a few. I also show you some examples of the sounds that I generated with the sound effects generator that ElevenLabs has made. Then I discussed about the art generators and how they work. Voice cloning was also a big thing last year, and ElevenLabs was a part of that. Making AI covers of songs was also something I did, I used to use voicemy.ai to make them, but I now use the Banger app. So I hope you enjoy this! For those who want a lightweight version of ElevenLabs to clone someone, Download Clony to clone any voice! Enter my code 'G2U655' on the account page to get free tokens! Episode 12 - Picking Up AM Radio Stations From Far Away14 nov. 202300:13:13
Thanks for listening to The Bryce podcast! In this episode, I talk about picking up AM Stations far away. AM AM DXing is great for picking up stations from further distances, just like what I talked about in the previous episode except I was talking about FM. I've been able to pick up a whole bunch of stuff from Pennsylvania, New York, Tennessee, Missouri, and other places, even Canada! I also talk about how you can achieve this and some other stuff you might want to know before doing this. If you like this episode and this podcast, subscribe and write a review on your platforms, and send a voice message if you're listening through Spotify for podcasts.
Episode 11 - Talking About FM DXing29 août 202300:23:11
Thank you for listening to the 11th episode of The Bryce podcast. In this episode I talk about DXing, specifically, the FM band. DX stands for distance, and this is a hobby where you can receive stations from far away. I also discuss about the propagations that are used for doing this, such as troppo and sporadic E skip. Then I discuss about how to do it, and all the stations that I've logged. I'm in the Columbus Ohio area, so I receive a lot of stations from Ohio as well as other Midwestern states. This is the best time of the year to do it, so you should take advantage of it while you can. All you Gotta do is turn your radio into a vacant Frequency on the FM dial, and see what you get. But before that you should get used to your dial so that way you know what's around you. If you enjoyed this, then, be sure to follow the podcast, rate on iTunes, and share this podcast with everyone.
