Hello 2021!! Hopefully we can have a better year but it's certainly not getting off to the best start outside of gaming is it? I'll talk about some channel updates and my life in general first, then give you two reviews of 7 Wonders: Agora and New York Zoo. Then I'll skim over some upcoming releases of 2021 and give my thoughts as to what I'm looking forward to.

Possibly the most heart-felt I've been during a podcast! On this bumper length end episode marking the last podcast put out for 2020, I take a look back over the channel and what I've achieved (or not) throughout this year, reflecting on my experiences what worked/didn't work. Has the channel grown or do the views say otherwise? While talking about that I'll also lay on some plans set in motion for what the channel can offer in 2021. After that I'll reflect on some games of 2020 - not my "best" game as that's on my recent Top 10 list, but discussing my top surprise, disappointment, reprint, expansion and of course, the worst game I've played in 2020. To make room on the shelves I had to sell off a bunch of games from the collection. So many that I think it was worth talking about my reasons why in a podcast episode! So after I talk about some channel updates, I'll explain why all these games didn't have what it takes to remain on the shelf.

Back from my trip up North to spend a few days with the immediate family, the first time we've been all in the same place in over 3 years, wow. Emotional to leave them to come back home, but I did get some gaming done while I was there. Work had some "not-so-great" surprises for me when I got back and in order to ensure the job is put first, the podcast will revert back to a bi-weekly affair (full reasons explained in the show). So in this episode after I talk about general channel updates I will discuss the games I've had success with in teaching the family before as well as how the games I took along this time round went down. Well in general I will be doing 30 minute episodes give or take but this was a special case. Jeremy Howard of ManvsMeeple got in touch with me and asked if we could do a chat over Skype. Hold on!! What's this? Well everyone, I recently did a massive relaunch of my whole channel "The Broken Meeple" - if you check out my YouTube channel you can see the after effects of that. Well that also means the podcast got a refresh, with a brand new look, ACTUAL VIDEO CONTENT OF ME SPEAKING via OBS software and a promise to maintain a regular production (95% certain) of 1 episode of around 30 minutes each Sunday. So rather than delete all the old content, I've created this Episode Zero to explain everything in detail and show you on screen (audio fans don't worry, I describe everything!). I will say OBS was a "pain" to say the least and my audio isn't 100% perfect, but it's a learning curve so expect improvements going forward!

It's been a while due to a mix of reasons, mainly because of my daily YouTube content I've put out to keep you all sane (or not) during COVID. Quite a packed episode today! Firstly I give details on what I'm doing regarding AIRECON, an annual convention in Harrogate, UK run by Mark Cooke that I attend each year. Second, it's time to actually talk about games I've played, so here are my initial impressions of Sentient, Res Arcana and Stone Age Anniversary Edition. Thirdly based on a debate online, I give a little mini talk/rant about how people define "theme" in games and why it's important for reviewers to call a game out on it.

I'm back!! Season 3 of the podcast begins with a simple talk about my experience in Poland attending Portalcon in January 2019.

The last podcast before Xmas and "hopefully" Season 3! Secondly I talk about how little I put faith in the Board Game Geek ranking system and give my opinions on the games that appear in the Top 25. Do I like them, do I hate them? Why do I think they are rated so highly?

Sorry it's been a while, I went on holiday and had a breakup lately. More information in the actual podcast, but it's not all doom and gloom........and the holiday was really fun! :P But straight after I attended Handycon 4 in Maidenhead in August 2018.
