The Brewers went 6-1 to keep the hot Cubs 10 games back. Willy Adames homered in 5 straight games including number 29 on his 29th birthday, which also tied him with The Kid for most 3-run homers in a single season. Our version of The Kid is red hot as well and is in the thick of the NL Rookie of the Year race. The whole pitching staff was untouchable this week!

The Brewers pulled off a weekend sweep of the Cleveland Guardians that previously had the best record in MLB. That put them at a season high 20 games over .500 (21 after the win in St. Louis after recording). Announced minutes after we recorded, Christian Yelich will undergo season ending back surgery. Despite this, we were able to talk a lot of good topics in this episode. The Brewers won a series against the Reds, and they came back to split the Dodgers series with two close wins. The Brewers dropped four of six at home against the Pirates and Nationals heading into the All-Star break. They are 5-8 in July. Dallas Keuchel was designated for assignment.
