What’s Actually Working in Q2? Our Real-Time Experiments

vendredi 24 avril 2026Duration 01:09:59

Q2 is where a lot of creators start second-guessing everything. In this episode, we’re unpacking what it looks like to test things in real time without perfect clarity yet. We talk about the experiments we’re running, how long we give strategies before judging them, why so many people quit in the messy middle, and how to keep going when you do not have obvious proof that something is working yet. It’s part strategy, part mindset reset, and part honest look at what content experimentation really feels like.

In this episode, we cover:

  • why Q2 often feels like the messy middle for content creators
  • what we’re actively testing right now in blogging, Pinterest, newsletters, Instagram, and traffic strategy
  • how long we give experiments before making decisions
  • the difference between something failing and something just needing more time
  • why delayed results are normal in blogging
  • how to stay consistent when you do not yet have proof something is working
  • why creators quit too early
  • how self-doubt and overanalysis can derail experiments
  • what to look at when assessing whether a strategy is working
  • how to think about goals, metrics, pivots, and sustainability
  • what we would do differently looking back over the last 12 months

The Social Media Boundaries Every Creator Needs

mardi 21 avril 2026Duration 24:04

In this episode of The Branding Fix, we’re talking about why content creators need stronger boundaries with social media. We get into the real cost of endless scrolling, comparison, niche drama, overstimulation, and the pressure that comes from constantly consuming other people’s content while trying to create your own. We also share the specific boundaries we’re setting, the apps we’re deleting or putting on probation, how we think about scrolling versus creating, and why protecting your focus is one of the most important things you can do for your content. If social media has been making you feel behind, distracted, or creatively stuck, this episode is your reset.

Riverside vs Descript Reality Check for New Podcaster!

mardi 24 mars 2026Duration 06:44

Riverside vs Descript — which one should you actually use for your podcast in 2026? We answered a live question about Riverside vs Descript for podcasting and broke down exactly when to use each tool based on your show format.

Our take:

→ Use Riverside for remote guest recording: the audio/video quality is better and file capture is more reliable when connections drop. We've lost recordings with both Descript and SquadCast.

→ Use Descript for editing: text-based editing plus a traditional timeline, scenes, and reusable presets make it faster than anything else we've tried.

→ Solo video podcast? Skip Riverside entirely. Descript alone is enough, and minimal editing is better.

We also cover why the old one-click Riverside-to-Descript transfer is gone (you'll need to move files manually now) and why video podcasting is a smart play as part of your blog and content strategy.

Forget The Trends, Try This Boring Money Maker

vendredi 6 mars 2026Duration 19:01

What if the smartest income stream isn't loud, viral, or flashy, but quiet instead?

In this episode, we break down how we're using blogging as a passive income stream to replace our 9-5 jobs without selling courses, chasing trends, or faking influence. We cover how to make money blogging with ad networks, why social media should be your free traffic engine (not your business), how to pick a profitable blog niche, starting a WordPress blog from scratch, and the real RPM math behind monetizing your blog. Why We Stopped Posting for 2 Weeks (And Why You Should Too)

vendredi 27 février 2026Duration 24:08

We broke the #1 rule of content creation: never stop posting. Here is exactly what happened to our reach, our revenue, and our sanity when we ghosted the algorithm for 14 days.

They say consistency is key, and if you miss a day, the algorithm punishes you. But what if the "Consistency Trap" is actually keeping you stuck? In this video, we are documenting our 2-week "pattern interrupt"—why we did it, the scary reality of stepping away, and why stepping back was the only way to move forward.

This isn't just about taking a vacation; it's a strategic experiment in "Slow Productivity" and future-proofing our brand against burnout. If you feel like you are on a hamster wheel of posting without purpose, this is your permission slip to hop off.

In this episode, we cover:

• The "Guru Advice" we completely ignored

• Why "Maintenance Mode" is a valid business strategy

• How silence gave us clarity on our brand direction

• The difference between "ghosting" and a "strategic pause"

My Instagram Strategy Stopped Working (Here’s Why)

vendredi 20 février 2026Duration 37:36

I posted 2x daily on Instagram for 6 weeks. The first month was explosive... and then the Instagram strategy broke. Here is the autopsy of what happened.

For the first 4 weeks of 2026, our "Fix Your Brand" challenge was on fire. We drove massive reach, sent thousands of DMs, and had a high CTR on our links. The algorithm loved us.

Then, we hit the "30-Day Wall."

In weeks 5-6, our reach plummeted. If you just looked at the surface metrics, you'd think the channel was dying. But when we looked closer at the data, we realized this "crash" was actually proving our biggest theory about building a business on rented land.

In this episode, we break down the exact timeline of the crash, the difference between "Viral Reach" and "Community Reach," and why we’re pivoting our automation strategy.

Stop Trying to be an Influencer. Build This Instead.

vendredi 13 février 2026Duration 19:22

Social media is rented land. If you are tired of performing for an algorithm that could disappear tomorrow, it’s time to stop trying to be an influencer and start building a business you actually own.

The "Influencer Model" is broken. We are documenting exactly why we trashed our old business plans to focus on "Content as Product" and long-term owned asset building (our blog). In this video, we break down the difference between performing for views and documenting for profit.

In today's episode of The Branding Fix, we cover why "performance" is dead, how to pivot from social media burnout to blogging stability, and the exact strategy we use to future-proof our income in 2026.
