Another tough week on the field for the Birds and the Bird Brains talk to the fact that it's not only a pitching problem.  Derek Baker pinch hits this week for Dave and talks to the poor hitting and performance by the young Oriole stars.  We also discuss the need for leadership in clubhouse and who might be the guy to do it.  

After a disastrous Bloody Sunday loss to the Reds the Orioles are in need of a rotation piece. Today we welcome Derek Baker to the show as he gives us a few starting pitchers from around MLB that would make sense for the Orioles to pursue in a trade.  

At 7-10 Jeff and Dave discuss the struggles of Orioles pitching, celebrate the resurgence of Cedric Mullins, and update the injury front for the birds.

Licking the wounds to a 5-8 start to the season.  Trying to see the positive in the face of seeming endless injuries, Dave & Jeff discuss the inconsistencies and the need to get back to the "Oriole Way" of playing baseball.

The 1st week of the regular season is in the books and the Bird Brains review some of the highlights and first impressions of the Orioles squad for 2025.  Questions from the bbbaseball522@gmail.com are answered and the 1st Bird O Prey award is given. 

Opening day has arrived!  The Bird Brains project the final roster and review the O's past against Jose Berrios, the anticipated lin-up for the opener, and project the Orioles needs at this season's trade deadline.  We take another look at the Orioles rotation and answer questions about the team. 

With only 1 week of Spring Training remaining, Dave and Jeff discuss the Baltimore Orioles Starting Rotation situation especially the 5th starter position competition.  Discussion veered into the outfield competition. A brief discussion on the 2025 Toronto Blue Jays roster as the opening series with the Orioles will be hosted in Toronto.

The show talks to the off season hitting coach and head trainer changes with the club.  Also we look into what appears to be a predictable roster once the O's break out of spring training. We give our 2025 introductory spring training Bird O' Prey and Bird Turd awards.  We wrap it up a look at the Value Menu that will be available in the stadium.

Jeff and Dave lick their preverbal wounds recounting the Royals 2 game Wildcard sweep of the Orioles. Corbin Burnes receives a Bird of Prey award and the middle of the O's line-up collects a Bird Turd award for their inability to drive in runs.
