Thor, it would appear at least, is no more, obliterated by the new Vogon secret experimental weapon QUEST.

However, in a moment of genius, the earthlings on Nano (including the assembled Dents, and the loons bought to the planetoid by Hillman Hunter) have been saved by Constant Mown, Prostetnic Jeltz's son, quoting law at his father.

But what now for Arthur, Random, and Ford? And will Zaphod's trick of (no-hands) catching Thor's helmet on his head be the Sub-Etha hit he hopes?

I'm not sure. But I do think, that this will be it. The final episode in the readings...

Thor (following sound advice from his manager Zaphod, and the threat of unending hatred from Trillian) has NOT killed Wowbagger, even though he is now no longer mortal. Trillian and Wowbagger have, figuratively speaking, now ridden off into a beautiful romantic sunset.

Zaphod and Thor in the meantime are on Nano, living it up at a banquet in Thor's honour, totally oblivious to the fact that the Vogons are in orbit, and preparing the obliterate the planetoid with an experimental weapon, a SECRET experimental weapon.

Onboard the Vogon ship, The Business End, Prostetnic Jeltz is eager to see what this weapon is capable of doing, whilst his grovelling son, Constant Mown, is doing what he can to stop his father. Because, unlike most Vogons, he is not into the whole bureaucratic shindig, and would really like to discuss Country music with somebody...

We're BACK! Finally, we get to join our intrepid galactic hitchhiking heroes as they attempt to make sense of anything at all. We're about a third of the way into the sixth book "And Another Thing"...

Zaphod has promised to kill Wowbagger the Infinitely Prolonged, a promise Wowbagger is VERY keen to see fulfilled. The only problem is that they're on their way, at Zaphod's suggestion, to Asgard. What Zaphod does not know, however, is that the beasts guarding Asgard have been given Zaphod's scent...

Prostetnic Vogon Jeltz in the meantime has got a whiff of the fact that a small colony of homo sapiens escaped the multidimensional destruction of (all the) Earth(s) and is now on his way to obliterate them in order to complete his paperwork.

And Another Thing... We dive into the sixth book of three - the final instalment in the Hitchhiker's saga - this time penned by Eoin Colfer of "Artemis Fowl" fame. Sanctioned by Adams' widow, Jane Belson, this is the book that he had intended to write before his all-too-early passing. After writing five Hitchhiker books, Adams had felt the need to continue the story: "I suspect at some point in the future I will write a sixth Hitchhiker book...", and "People have said, quite rightly, that Mostly Harmless is a very bleak book. I would love to finish Hitchhiker on a slightly more upbeat note, so five seems to be a wrong kind of number; six is a better kind of number." Grab your towels and put on a brew, we're off again!

Ford has arrived on Lamuella and having been knocked out twice by Random (who then disappeared off with the new version of the Guide to find Earth) has met up with a bewildered Arthur and persuaded him to try and get off the planet by riding on a Perfectly Normal Beast through a rip in reality at the end of Anhondo Plains... This has pleased Old Thrashbarg very much indeed. But where will Arthur and Ford end up - and who, for zark's sake, is "THE" King?
