It's the last episode of the regular season and much like #GoKingsGo, we're ready for it to be over. Bring on the anguish of the playoffs!

The 52nd season of Los Angeles Kings hockey has begun in this, the 2nd season of The Bannermen. We break down the first four games and discuss what’s working and what’s broken with our beloved #LAKings. The excitement for some of the crop of rookies is palpable. We also take a look at what’s going on around the NHL in this first week, which is historically a very nutty time to be a hockey fan. It’s Episode 28!

Hockey is back, the Kings are back and the boys are back! The second season of the Bannermen podcast is here and it starts with a whimper and we lament the acquisitions made by the San Jose Sharks and Vegas Golden Knights in the form of Erik Karlsson and Max Pacioretty. We break down how terrifying the Pacific Division has suddenly become and how weak the Atlantic Division now is.

The Bannermen are back after a month of having absolutely nothing to talk about. Therefore, we put together a followup to last year’s critical smash hit, List Misérables! In this episode, we each break down ten changes we would make to the NHL product, both on and off the ice. Some are realistic, some will never happen, but they ALL make perfect, beautiful sense. Just like all of you, we are looking for a #BetterNHL. Let’s go!

For what has to be the first time in their history, the Los Angeles Kings have actually landed a big name free agent and we, The Bannermen, have no idea what to do with ourselves. Ilya Kovalchuk is a member of the LAKings eight years after first flirting with the team, ending the longest period of flirting between two eventual lovers that anyone has ever seen. We break down the signing, the NHL draft, other targets the Kings had and even make a prediction on what Drew Doughty will get on his next contract (SPOILER: We were right!). Also, we try not to get too giggly when creating our possible line combinations for the upcoming season and furthermore, try not to wet ourselves with excitement over the Kings potential top power play unit. It’s Episode 24 and Alex Frolov would be proud!

The NHL off-season is officially underway and The Bannermen are super pumped because it’s one of the best times of the year to be a hockey fan. The NHL Awards, the NHL Draft and NHL Free Agency are knocking on our doors and we cannot wait to open the door and shower them with the warmest greetings. We discuss rumors surrounding the Los Angeles Kings their desperate search for offense. Also, we continue rating the forwards from last season and breaking down the good and the bad from each one, except Anze Kopitar because he is incapable of letting us down in any way. It’s Episode 23, so expect a whole lot of love for Dustin Brown!

The Stanley Cup Finals are nearing an end and The Bannermen are delighted by the results thus far. We break down what’s been going right for the Washington Capitals in the series and just why the the Kings couldn’t do in round one what the Caps are doing in round 4. We also talk about a few other developments in the NHL and briefly discuss a few intriguing prospects in the upcoming NHL Draft. It’s a long time coming, but in this episode, we rate all the LA Kings goaltenders and defensemen using the star system, because we like movies and the Kings have always had a flair for the dramatics. It’s the one-year anniversary of The Bannermen podcast and what better way to celebrate it than with a new episode!

The Bannermen turn 21 (episodes) and it may be time to hit the bottle because the Vegas Golden Knights continue to roll in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Naturally, everyone is losing their minds and calling for a complete overhaul of the team, from the coaches to the players to the logo to the jerseys. The Bannermen are here to tell you to relax, kick back and listen to an episode that will bring you back to serenity. Just kidding. We are NOT happy! But for various other reasons.

The Bannermen break down Anze Kopitar's legendary season, Jeff Carter's legendary scoring ability and Rob Blake's legendary mind-control power over college prospects. Also, we take a look at possible playoff matchups for the Kings while fully admitting that the team could still very well miss the playoffs in spectacular fashion. We also welcome back the illustrious Jeff Carter back to the Kings lineup, and thus, the production of Tyler Toffoli and Tanner Pearson back to the lineup. Not only have the Los Angeles Kings have acquired Dion Phaneuf, but they’ve unloaded Marian Gaborik’s contract and Nick Shore’s overall on-ice unpleasantness. We break down the trade. how we feel it will impact the Kings moving forward and how it may give us an insight into Rob Blake’s frame of mind going into the trade deadline. Also, we #RealTalk the Kings playoff chances and whether or not Jeff Carter’s looming return to the roster can actually be enough to push the Kings into the playoffs and perhaps remind Tyler Toffoli and Tanner Pearson how to be good at hockey again. We then go through the big names that are available this trade deadline and give our best guesses as to where they will land. Spoiler: We have one of them coming to Los Angeles.

After a brief hiatus, The Bannermen are back with Episode 15! The Los Angeles Kings have had a rough start to 2018, so naturally, we decided to make things worse by examining what ails our beloved hockey team. We discuss Jonny Quick and his recent struggles, as well as the Kings dedication to not scoring in the first period. Also, we look at what Rob Blake may be looking for at the trade deadline (Hint: It's not Jack Johnson) and how many more wins the Kings would need to make the playoffs (Hint: It's more than one).

It's the first episode of 2018 and we have our first guest! Jack Mullet joins the show to talk Los Angeles Kings hockey, the biggest surprises for the team at the half-way point and the team's MVP thus far. We also look ahead to the trade deadline and try to guess who and what the Kings will be targeting. Also, we break down the Kings' record against the Pacific Division and wonder what the is exactly wrong with the Edmonton Oilers other than Pat Maroon taking a major penalty and costing his team a game. It's been a roller coaster of emotions for the Los Angeles Kings and their fans. After a tough stretch of games, the Kings are back to their winning ways. We break down what's been working and not working and rejoice in the return of Varty's man-crush, Marian Gaborik. The Kings are depressing the out of us lately with their 5-5-1 performance in the last 11 games. We dissect what's been going wrong with the team and tremble in fear at the thought of belonging with the Vegas Golden Knights in any capacity. Also, we had the terrible idea of recording while watching the Kings vs. Canucks game, which ultimately led to more frustration, depression and anxiety. It's a real fun listen!

After 10 episodes, we have no clue what's going on with this team and we love it. The Kings are back from what many felt would be a measuring stick road trip and the boys measured up with a 4-2-0 performance. Jonathan Quick is all-world and Adrian Kempe is all-right. Also, we break down Tyler Toffoli's ability to manipulate time and space in a way that would inspire Christopher Nolan to make a new movie. This season has felt like a dream within a dream and we can't wait to wax poetic with you!

From the highest of highs to the lowest of lows... The Los Angeles Kings are 5-0-1 in The Bannermen era thanks to a coming of age tale featuring Adrian Kempe. Just as the elation reached a fever pitch, the Kings took a tough blow with a very serious injury to Jeff Carter. We break everything down and try our best not to cry. SPOILER: We fail.

Rob Blake stands pat at the #NHLTradeDeadline as #GoKingsGo await upgrades from within. But is there enough on the way to compete in the west?

It's the last episode before the regular season and after all our Muzzin bashing, Jake has had a great preseason... naturally. We discuss all the cuts that were made including 2012 NHL legend, Jordan Nolan and 2008 AHL legend, Brandon Prust. We also break down the pre-season games thus far and try our best to pretend that everything is awesome. For some reason, we decided that it would be a good idea to hold our league's fantasy draft while we were recording, so prepare your mind and body for mentions of Justin Schultz, Charlie Coyle and Kyle Palmieri. The title needs work, but you get it.

In Episode 4, we welcome back Andrei Loktionov to the team probably and talk about why we think the Kings should trade Jake Muzzin yesterday. We also touch on the Olympics a bit and share our excitement in the likelihood of not knowing most of the players that will play in the tournament. Then, it's story time with the Bannermen as we discuss some of our first Kings memories as well as a few gems about our meetings with Kings players that have resulted in ridicule. Come to think of it, why are we even sharing these on the show? Hurry up and listen before we change our minds and delete the entire episode.

Free Agent Frenzy is over and the Kings don't look much different than they did when they missed the playoffs in April... so that's exciting. We discuss Mike Cammalleri, the pursuit of Joe Thornton and Pierre Turgeon drawing up plays in the shotgun formation. Also, we introduce a new segment called, "Banner Moments" where we select a specific time in Kings history that can make us smile and weep at the same time. This week's topic... The trade for Anson Carter in 2004. We know. Super masochistic.

In Episode 2, we laugh at all the GMs who let Gabe Vilardi slip to the Kings and quietly rejoice that Trevor Lewis will continue to win the Kings' Unsung Hero award for a few more years. Also, we discuss Free Agent options heading into July 1st while still somehow talking about Gabriel Landeskog and how he probably won't be coming to the Kings regardless of how much put it out into the universe.

In our debut episode, we wax poetic about Dean Lombardi and his collective man crush on all the players between 2012 and 2014. We examine the Kings' downfall and all the events that led to one of the shortest editions of "The Glory Years" of any team in NHL History. Also, It's the off season. Blake is the GM. Luc is doing hockey things now. The Expansion Draft is coming. The Entry Draft is coming. Rumors about the Kings targeting a top-6 forward. Dogs and cats living together. Mass hysteria!
